They wrote the interpretation of theological verses in Alquran and titled the book Tafsir Bahasa Bugis 30 Juz, by using Bugis language and Lontara (letters to write Bugis language). This research identified the types of anthropomorphism of Alquran interpretation which followed by the Bugis parsons, either they tend to follow Asy’ariyah group, to follow Mu’tazilah group. The research found that in interpreting theological verses into Bugis language, the Parsons of MUI in South of Sulawesi followed the Asy’ariyah group approach. They followed this approach in order to enable the reader to understand the concept of theological in Alquran which believe that God is the only one and He is not the same with His creature. However, in other verses interpretation, they tried to explain the God existence rationally.

Abstract

This paper reveals the essence of egalitarian values in the Arek Suroboyo culture. The egalitarian value of Arek Suroboyo's culture is a cultural value that has been possessed by the people of Surabaya since the era of the Ancient Mataram, when Surabaya was still named Hujunggaluh. Egalitarian values grow as a form of cultural identity that is free and without caste. Axiologically the essence of Arek Suroboyo's egalitarian value is objective value and is an intrinsic value that has been lived by the people of Surabaya since the formation of the Surabaya community. The position of the Arek Suroboyo egalitarian value in the Max Scheler value hierarchy is spiritual value, because in the egalitarian value there is an appreciation of the dignity and position of humans who are equal to other humans. The limitation of Arek Suroboyo's egalitarian value is that it is still shackled in the communal culture of the Surabaya community. The egalitarian value of Arek Suroboyo contributes to strengthening local culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

In this article, the authors argue that Gorontalo Municipality, which is believed to have been founded as the centre of government since 1728 AD, or precisely in 6 Sya'ban 1140 H., has become an "Islamic city". Sultan Amai, in 1525, is believed to be the first place to the cornerstone of Islam in this country. The king Matolodulakiki made Islam as the official religion of the kingdom during his reign by prioritizing the principle: “Adati hula-hulaa to saraa, saraa hula-hulaa to Qur’ani”. The king Eyato then refined the principle of Islamic and state fusion and adat since 1673. Furthermore, Sultan Botutihe emphasized the process of Islamization by moving the centre of government from Dungingi to a new location, which is currently the complex area of the Great Baiturrahim Mosque in Gorontalo municipality. This mosque is a historical landmark of the government and the centre of religion. Implicitly this means that the relationship between state, religion and adat has been so strong in Gorontalo. The principle of the spread of Islam at this time endures to a new development, namely "custom in Islam or Islam that is imposed". Furthermore, the network of Islamization in the 19th century until the present era mainly marked by the establishment of several organizations and institutions such as: Al-Huda, Al-Khairat, Muhammadiyah and NU.

Abstract

The origin of tradisional politics in Barru District can be known from the stereotype saying, “ Datu ri Tenete, Petta ri Berru, sibawa Mallusetasi, Arung ri Soppeng Riaja , “ (Datu King in Tanete, Petta King in Barru and Mallusetasi, Arung King in Soppeng Riaja). It is these three titles that manifest in the order of colonial politics in sub districs (Swapraja) throughout Barru area. In the Dutch colonial era, the government in the area called onderafdeling. However, after the emergence of Indonesian Republic, the tradisional system was slowly but surely changed by modernization and eventually hard to preserve. Therefore, reactualization is needed to anticipate all changes posed by globalization. Intitution of custom (Lembaga Adat) is actually a pa-rameter of self dignity in a nation. Therefore, re-establishing the institution of custom in Barru District is very significant in accordance with the regulation based on 1945 constitution, chapter 32, and also as follow-up of National policy in Regulation No. 10 Year 1993 on the Right of Cultural Preservation. The institution of custom comprises some committees of the heirs of custom order, that is, the descendarts of the King, not those who participated in the colonial politics.

HTI menerima konsep NKRI tetapi dibawah naungan khilafah.
