Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited availability of teaching materials that are in line with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum in the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Development course at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The OBE curriculum emphasizes measurable learning outcomes, strengthening competencies, and adapting to the challenges of 21st century education. The development of OBE-based teaching materials is a strategic step to improve teacher skills, strengthen the relevance of the curriculum, and ensure alignment between objectives, methods, and assessments in the learning process. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The mixed methods approach is used by combining qualitative data through the study of curriculum documents, interviews, and observations, as well as quantitative data through the testing of the effectiveness of teaching materials. The research subjects consist of lecturers and students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) IAIN Gorontalo. The research instruments include expert validation sheets, user response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis was carried out using the percentage of eligibility and N-Gain calculation to assess the improvement in student learning outcomes after the use of teaching materials. The results of the study show that the OBE-based teaching materials developed meet the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. Expert validation scores exceed 80%, signifying good content and presentation feasibility. More than 80% of respondents, both lecturers and students, gave positive responses to the ease of use and relevance of the material. The results of the N-Gain test showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after the application of teaching materials. These findings prove that the systematic development of teaching materials with the ADDIE model can increase learning effectiveness and the achievement of student competencies. This study confirms that the application of OBE-based teaching materials contributes to increasing the professionalism of prospective teachers and strengthening the quality of the curriculum in the Islamic higher education environment. The implementation of a curriculum based on learning outcomes not only increases the relevance of learning, but also encourages the creation of teaching innovations that are oriented towards competency achievement. Thus, the results of this research can be used as a model for the development of similar curriculum and teaching materials in other study programs, as well as the basis for improving the quality of higher education that is adaptive, competitive, and results-oriented

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of life skill training management in an effort to empower students in Islamic boarding schools to be able to live independently and contribute to society. The purpose of this study is to find out how life skill training management is carried out at Al-Falah Gorontalo Islamic Boarding School, including the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, as well as data analysis of the Miles and Huberman models. The results of the study show that training planning has not been well documented, even though the implementation of activities is quite effective, especially in sewing and tataboga training supported by professional instructors. However, the evaluation stage is not optimal because there is no systematic assessment instrument. The impact of this research emphasizes the importance of strengthening life skills training management so that pesantren can produce students who are qualified, independent, and ready to face global challenges

Abstract

This research is motivated by the essential role of the school principal as a transformational leader in creating a conducive, collaborative, and character-oriented learning environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the principal’s transformational leadership contributes to developing a positive learning environment at SD Negeri 7 Talang Ubi, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and school staff. The findings reveal that transformational leadership is implemented through four key dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The principal successfully fosters a culture of mutual respect, encourages teacher innovation, and nurtures a collective spirit in learning. The impact of this leadership is evident in increased discipline, motivation, and a more positive school climate. These findings are expected to contribute theoretically to educational leadership development and serve as a practical reference for principals to create a harmonious and productive learning environment. Abstract

Democratic leadership in Islamic educational institutions is a crucial concept rooted in Islamic principles of deliberation, justice, and trustworthiness, aiming to foster inclusive, participatory environments and develop critical, responsible individuals. This study aims to analyze the foundational concepts, implementation mechanisms, opportunities, and challenges of Islamic-based democratic leadership in educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method using a literature review approach, analyzing data from relevant academic sources. Findings indicate that democratic leadership is implemented through the active involvement of teachers and staff in deliberation processes, granting freedom of opinion, and upholding justice, which subsequently enhances teacher professionalism and establishes a healthy, harmonious organizational culture. Nevertheless, key challenges persist, including dominant authoritarian cultural aspects, rigid policies, and limitations in funding for staff training and necessary facilities. Comprehensive and sustainable strategies are essential to optimize these democratic Islamic values to achieve high-quality and competitive Islamic education. Abstract

Education in the digital era demands professional, adaptive, and innovative educators. Empowering educators has become a crucial strategy for improving the quality of national education. This study aims to analyze the central role of leadership in the process of empowering educators in educational institutions. The method used is a library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected from various scientific journals, books, and relevant literature sources which were then analyzed in depth. The results show that leadership, especially transformational leadership, plays a vital role as a motivator, facilitator, and visionary. An effective leader is able to create a conducive work climate, encourage competency development, provide autonomy, and build a collaborative culture. Effective empowerment strategies identified include continuous training, delegation of trust and responsibility, and the implementation of constructive appreciation and feedback systems. Successful empowerment has a direct impact on increasing the competence, motivation, and professionalism of educators, which in turn contributes to improving the quality of student learning. Abstract

This study addresses the critical gap in the availability of teaching materials aligned with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework within the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Development course for Islamic Education Management. In the context of 21st-century educational demands, OBE emphasizes measurable learning outcomes, competency development, and the integration of relevant, future-oriented pedagogical practices. To bridge the disconnect between curriculum design and competency achievement, this research developed and validated OBE-based teaching materials using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model through a mixed-methods Research and Development (R&D) approach. Data were collected from lecturers and students of the Islamic Education Management at IAIN Gorontalo via curriculum document analysis, interviews, observations, expert validation sheets, user response questionnaires, and learning outcome assessments. Quantitative analysis employed eligibility percentages and N-Gain calculations to evaluate material validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Results indicate that the developed materials are valid (expert validation >80%), practical (>80% positive user feedback), and effective (significant improvement in student learning outcomes, as evidenced by N-Gain scores). This study demonstrates that systematically designed OBE-based teaching materials not only enhance curriculum relevance but also strengthen the professional competencies of prospective Islamic educators. The findings offer a replicable model for curriculum innovation in Islamic higher education, supporting the development of adaptive, competitive, and results-driven teacher education programs aligned with global educational standards.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Qur’anic perspective on work ethics, focusing on three core values: amanah (trust and responsibility), istiqāmah (consistency), and ikhlāṣ (sincerity). Using a thematic exegesis (tafsīr maudhu‘ī) approach combined with a comprehensive literature review, this research identifies Qur’anic verses related to work (‘amal) and contextualizes them within contemporary discussions on the Islamic Work Ethic (IWE). The findings reveal that, in Islam, work is regarded as an integral form of worship that must be carried out with honesty, consistency, and moral integrity. The value of amanah plays a central role in fostering trust and loyalty within organizations, while istiqāmah ensures the sustainability of ethical conduct, and ikhlāṣ instills a transcendental motivation that elevates professional dedication beyond material goals. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that the application of Qur’anic values in professional and educational settings can enhance productivity, job satisfaction, and the development of an ethical and healthy organizational culture. Overall, the study concludes that the Qur’anic work ethic remains profoundly relevant in addressing the professional and moral challenges of the contemporary global era.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga tradisional islam yang saat ini masih bertahan ditengah-tengah arus moderisasi. Dengan perkembangan zaman yang sangat cepat, dunia pesantren mulai dituntut untuk turut terlibat tidak hanya pada masalah agama saja tetapi juga masalah budaya dan tradisi yang saat ini berkembang di masyarakat,salah satunya kedisplinan dan kemandirian. Pondok pesantren al-hidayah jambi dalam pelaksanaanya dalam membimbing dan mengevaluasi para santri di ketuai oleh Kiai. Kedisplinan dan Kemandirian yang dapat dicontoh dari Kiai suatu pondok pesantren sangat berpengaruh besar bagi santri,dikarenakan Kepemimpinan Kiai dianggap mampu mempengaruhi, mendorong, serta menggerakkan perubahan terhadap prilaku santri. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan kiai pesantren dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan kemandirian para santri Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Probolinggo Jawa Timur.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan Pendidikan Menurut Brigjen KH Syam'un dan KH Mas Abdurrachman membahas tentang konsep dan praktik kepemimpinan pendidikan yang dianut oleh dua tokoh ulama, pejuang, dan pendidik asal Banten, yaitu Brigjen KH Syam'un dan KH Mas Abdurrachman. Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi biografi dan analisis untuk menggali informasi dari berbagai sumber primer dan sekunder yang berkaitan dengan kedua tokoh tersebut. Artikel ini menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan pendidikan menurut Brigjen KH Syam'un dan KH Mas Abdurrachman memiliki tiga ciri utama, yaitu: (1) kemampuan untuk memberikan pengaruh, arahan, perintah, motivasi, dan lingkungan kondusif terhadap anggota-anggota lembaga di lembaga pendidikan; (2) kemampuan untuk mereformasi sistem pendidikan pesantren dengan mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dan ilmu umum atau ilmu sosial; dan (3) kemampuan untuk mengembangkan jaringan kerjasama antara lembaga pendidikan dengan lembaga-lembaga lain yang relevan.

Abstract

Atikel ini mengkaji penggunaan media youtube dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di Kudus. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran video berbasis Youtube mata pelajaran IPA materi Tata Surya, menganalisis efektifitas penggunaan video berbasis Youtube dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methods (metode campuran) yang menggambarkan praktik guru dalam kelas dengan teori. Artikel ini mempunyai temuan bahwa pada awal pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru tanpa menggunakan video berbasis Youtube kurang efektif karena terdapat 71,4% siswa yang belum tuntas belajar, sedangkan guru yang menggunakan video berbasis Youtube dalam materi Tata Surya terdapat 78,6% yang tuntas belajar yaitu sebanyak 22 siswa yang memperoleh nilai mencapai KKM (70). Artikel ini berkontribusi dalam menggambarkan strategi efektif penggunaan media Youtube dalam pembelejaran siswa madrasah Ibtidaiyah
