Abstract

The era of global educational transformation demands integration of instructional leadership with Total Quality Management (TQM). The research gap lies in the limited qualitative studies exploring critical bridge nodes as leverage points for organizational transformation. This study aims to explore the implementation of instructional leadership integrated with TQM through the identification of bridge nodes in Indonesian educational organizational communication networks. The research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study design in a senior high school. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight informants using purposive sampling. Analysis used ATLAS.ti with a qualitative network analysis approach to identify bridge nodes and communication network patterns. The research identified three main findings: universal consensus (100%) on the effectiveness of principal feedback; significant conceptual divergence (57.1%) in educational quality definitions reflecting organizational maturity; and three critical bridge nodes, namely open communication culture, constructive feedback, and holistic quality, as vital coordination mechanisms. TQM principles can be effectively applied in the Indonesian educational context through responsive adaptation to local cultural characteristics. The identified bridge nodes become strategic leverage points for sustainable organizational transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi pemasaran jasa pendidikan Islam di perguruan tinggi Islam guna meningkatkan mutu, brand image, dan daya saing kelembagaan. Dalam konteks persaingan global dan tuntutan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan berkualitas, perguruan tinggi Islam dituntut untuk menerapkan strategi pemasaran yang efektif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui penelusuran artikel ilmiah yang relevan dari Google Scholar, dengan rentang publikasi antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Seleksi literatur dilakukan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan untuk menjamin kualitas dan relevansi data. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa strategi bauran pemasaran jasa (7P) yang mencakup produk, harga, tempat, promosi, orang, proses, dan bukti fisik, menjadi pendekatan dominan yang digunakan oleh perguruan tinggi Islam. Strategi ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan jumlah pendaftar, memperkuat citra lembaga, dan membangun daya saing di tengah persaingan antar perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, pemanfaatan teknologi digital, media sosial, serta sinergi antara tim pemasaran internal dan eksternal menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan strategi promosi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi pemasaran yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan pasar dapat memperkuat posisi lembaga pendidikan Islam sebagai penyedia layanan pendidikan berkualitas. Rekomendasi penelitian ini mencakup perlunya inovasi berkelanjutan, evaluasi strategi secara berkala, dan kolaborasi lintas unit dalam pelaksanaan promosi pendidikan. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of curriculum management to improve students’ work readiness at SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus. The main problem addressed is the high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates who are not yet fully work-ready. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of curriculum management encompasses planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation stages. The school actively aligns its curriculum with industry needs through Project-Based Learning, Teaching Factory models, and partnerships with the Business and Industrial World (DUDI). The curriculum is designed thematically, integratively, and responsively to technological developments and the demands of the creative industry. Regular evaluations are conducted by both the school and industrial partners to ensure the achievement of student competencies. The conclusion of this study is that adaptive and industry-based curriculum management significantly enhances students’ work readiness and bridges the gap between education and employment sectors.

Abstract

The development of human resources (HR) in Islamic educational institutions is an important issue in the midst of the challenges of globalization and rapid social change. This research aims to identify and formulate a strategic roadmap in human resource development that integrates prophetic values into contextual human capital models. The research method used is literature study and qualitative analysis of various relevant sources, including the latest scientific journals and articles. The results of the study show that the integration of prophetic values, such as honesty and trustworthiness, in the Islamic education curriculum can improve the character and spirituality of students. In addition, the proposed roadmap provides a comprehensive framework for human resource development that focuses not only on academic aspects, but also on character building. The impact of this research is expected to provide guidance for Islamic educational institutions in creating a generation that is intellectually superior and has noble character, so that they are able to contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Brand awareness is the primary foundation for building public trust in educational institutions. Despite being a crucial asset, not all schools have successfully built strong brand awareness like LPP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto. This study aims to describe LPP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto strategy in building brand awareness to foster public trust. Using a qualitative case study method through interviews, observation, and documentation, this study shows that LPP Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto applies a structured Hierarchy of Effects model. At the cognitive stage, awareness is built through centralized digital and traditional marketing and strategic networking to instill brand knowledge. The affective stage is achieved by creating differentiation through the international curriculum (IB), engaging alumni, and building a positive narrative to foster liking and preference. Finally, the conative stage is realized through a pre-order system to manage high demand and measurable evaluations to encourage enrollment. As a result, this integrated strategy has proven effective in building brand awareness, leading to the formation of public trust in the school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam penanaman nilai-nilai religius siswa di MTsN 4 Karanganyar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis dengan metode penelitian lapangan, melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan sebagai subjek. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah tercermin melalui program pembiasaan ibadah, pembinaan karakter melalui keputrian, pidato, dan tahfidz, penanaman akhlak dan disiplin, inovasi moderasi beragama, serta sistem evaluasi dan partisipasi guru. Keberhasilan kepemimpinan ini didukung oleh budaya madrasah yang religius dan moderat, keterlibatan aktif kepala madrasah, kolaborasi internal dengan guru, dukungan orang tua, serta responsif terhadap tantangan teknologi dan sosial. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah yang partisipatif, spiritual, dan adaptif berperan signifikan dalam internalisasi nilai-nilai religius serta pembentukan karakter Islami siswa.

Abstract

The influence of positivism is reflected in efforts to integrate empirical methods with normative religious values, creating a dialectical relationship between scientific rationality and the spirituality of revelation. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing classical and contemporary works on positivist philosophy, sociology of religion, and Islamic social thought. Primary sources include philosophical texts from Comte, Durkheim, and Weber, while secondary data are drawn from modern Islamic academic literature discussing the epistemology of social science, such as works by Al-Attas, Arkoun, and Fazlur Rahman. The analysis uses a descriptive-analytical approach to explore the relationship between positivism and Islamic social science paradigms, particularly in terms of epistemology, methodology, and research ethics. The findings indicate that positivism has significantly contributed to the rationalization of social studies in Islam, particularly in the fields of economics, politics, and education, by emphasizing the importance of observation and empirical data. However, adopting positivism in its entirety risks neglecting the transcendental dimension that lies at the core of Islamic teachings. Therefore, an integrative approach is needed, one that combines scientific objectivity with theological values so that Islamic social science maintains its spiritual identity. Thus, this article argues that positivism can serve as a methodological inspiration for the development of Islamic social studies, provided it operates within a tawhidic epistemological framework that balances rationality and moral spirituality.

Abstract

In the context of education in Gorontalo, there are still limitations in the implementation of effective leadership, especially in the design and implementation of learning in the field. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership on changes in education management at the secondary school level. The approach used was quantitative, involving 562 secondary school teachers as randomly selected respondents. Data collection was carried out through instruments with an assessment scale of 1 to 5, and data analysis used SPSS-assisted descriptive statistics version 25.0 to calculate the average value and the relationship between variables. The results showed that all dimensions of leadership were in the high category, with an average score that described the level of confidence of teachers in the implementation of leadership that was classified as good. These findings confirm that the role of leaders contributes significantly to driving positive changes to education management in secondary schools. In conclusion, the application of leadership styles needs to be strengthened and maintained between old and new leaders so that the effectiveness of learning in junior high school can increase. The implications of this study highlight the importance of leadership training and development for teachers to improve the quality of management, planning, and implementation of learning in schools

Abstract

This research aims to develop artificial intelligence (AI)-based teaching performance and behavior measures to support classroom learning evaluation and management. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on Design-Based Research (DBR), this research was conducted at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) IAIN Gorontalo through four stages: needs analysis, initial model design, limited trials, and improvement evaluation. Data was collected through classroom observations, audio-visual recordings, learning activity logs, and interviews with lecturers and students. The analysis was carried out qualitatively and computationally with pattern recognition and learning analytics techniques using multimodal data. The results of the study produced an annotated audio-visual dataset and a prototype of the Teacher Trainer Dashboard that is able to display indicators of teaching behavior visually, including teacher movements, speech styles, and interaction patterns in the classroom. Initial evaluations by eight researchers showed a positive response to the intuitive and non-judgmental design. This system is considered to be able to support teachers' professional reflection through objective and real-time feedback, without replacing the primary role of educators. Thus, the development of AI-based performance and behavioral measures contributes to the improvement of teacher professionalism and the application of ethical, adaptive, and evidence-based learning analytics in the Islamic education environment.
