Abstract

The research was background by the result of the students’ value is low, students’ activity is not effective and the students afraid to extend their idea and their opinion about lesson material that just was learned. The research has purpose to know: 1. how students learning activity in mathematics subject by apply active learning method type Giving Question and Getting Answer faith Quiz at grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Pancung Soal. 2. does the score mathematics that apply active learning method type Giving Question and Getting Answer faith Quiz be better than conventional method. Kind of the research is experimental research. To take the sample by using random sample, VIII.2 as experimental class and VIII.3 as control class. Can conclude that the score of students’ mathematics subject by using active learning type Giving Question and Getting Answer faith Quiz be better than the score of learning that apply conventional method.

Abstract

This research is background by the students’ understanding of mathematics concepts still low and a small portion of students can not sit still for more than two minutes in the learning process. This study aims to determine whether students’ understanding of mathematics concepts by applying techniques Quick On The Draw is better than the students’ understanding of concepts mathematics by applying conventional learning class VII SMP N 1 Lengayang. This is experimental with randomized trials on the subject. The population in this study were all enrolled students of class VII in the school year 2012/2013. Samples were VII6 class as the experimental class and the control class VII7 class. The research instrument is the ultimate test with reliability = 0,79. Based on the analysis of the data found that the samples are normally distributed and homogeneous on the real level α = 0,05. Test results hypothesis by t test using MINITAB software obtained P-value = 0,032 is less than α = 0,05. So it can be concluded that the students’ understanding of mathematics concepts by using the Quick On The Draw Technique is better than the students’ understanding of mathematics concepts by using conventional learning in class VII SMP N 1 Lengayang at 95% confidence level.

Abstract

Background of this research is resulf of student’s mathematic comprehension on SMPN 1 Sitiung grade VIII are still low it can be seen on their result in first semester in 2012/2013. One solution to improve student’s mathematic comprehension by applying active learning strategy on Instant Assessment type. This research has a purpose to know whether students mathematic comprehension by applying active learning strategy on Instant Assessment type is better than student’s mathematic comprehension by applying convensional learning on SMPN 1 Sitiung at VIII grade. The research method is experimental research. The population is studen’s in SMPN 1 Sitiung at grade VIII in 2012/2013 it consists of seven classes. Experimental class is VIII.D and control class is VIII.E the instrument of this research is test of student’s mathematic comprehension. Test type of this research is essay form the realibility of the test     0,87. Based on the data analysis the researcher found the mean score of students math comprehension in experimental class 75,64 meanwhile in control class is only 53.  It means that the mean score in experimenthal class is higher that control class The analysis of data is done by software MINITAB the researcher got p-value=0,00 it is smaller than . Therefore the researcher conclasdes that students mathematic comprehension by applying actif learning on Instant Assessment type is better than student’s mathematic comprehension by applying convensional learning it can be proven on 95%.

Abstract

This motivation of this research is about students’ understanding of mathematical concepts that are low.  The students are lazy to give questions and opinions that the material is least understood. This is looked from the result of students’ mathematics learning at class VIII MTsN Tarusan. The purpose of this research is to know students’ understanding of mathematical concept that applay active learning model type trading places which is more good than students’ understanding of mathematical concept that applay convensional learning at class VIII MTsN Tarusan. The type of this research is experiment research with random sampling. The data analysis uses uji t,    and = 1,645. Because of   . Thus, the hypothesis in this research is accepted. In briefly, student’ understanding of mathematical concept use active learning model type trading places  which is more good than students’ understand of mathematical concept by using conventional learning at class VIII MTsN Tarusan.

Abstract

This research of background by students tend to ask her/his friend about her miss understanding in learning than to her/his teacher and it makes a horsy condition. This can be proved from the percentage of students mathematic score in final examination at the first semester. So, this research has purpose to find out the student understanding in mathematical concept at eighth grade of  SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan use cooperative learning strategy type snowball throwing is better than use conventional strategy. The design of this research is experiment. In addition, the population was student at eighth grade of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan academic year 2012/2013 which consist of  fourth classes and use random technique sampling and was chosen VII.1 as experimental class and VII.2 as control class. The instrument was used is test and essay form. Based on the score of math post-test of two sample classes, the research found that the range value of experiment class is 72,46 and range value of control class is 43,68. The result from hypothesis testing with MINITAB proved P- value = 0,000 smaller than from α=0,05. So, it can be concluded that students understanding in mathematical concept by using cooperative learning strategy type snowball throwing is better than using conventional strategy at eighth grade of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN5 Sawahlunto . This is due to learning is centered on the teachers and students are less active in the learning of mathematics . This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of fish dishes accompanied quiz better than students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in class VIII SMPN5 Sawahlunto and to find out how the development of students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying techniques of fish dishes accompanied quiz grade students in mathematics learning SMP N 5 VIII Sawahlunto.This type of research is experimental research design randomized trials on the subject . Is a class VIII student population SMP N 5 Sawahlunto . Sampling technique is random , class is class VIII1 chosen as the experimental class and the control class VIII4 class . Research instrument in the form of quizzes and final test , which tests understanding of mathematical concepts which consists of 5 items in the form of essays, with a reliability of 0.8545 means that about reliable . Based on the analysis of the data found that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples at significance level α = 0.05 . Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.011 is less than α = 0.05 . So it is concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying techniques of fish dishes accompanied quiz better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning in class VIII SMPN5 Sawahlunto .

Abstract

The background of this research was students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts which was still low at eight grades in MTsN Durian Tarung. The purpose of this research was to find out whether students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts by using TAI Cooperative Learning was better than a conventional learning. The research was an Experimental Research with random arrangement toward the subject of this research. The research population is all Eight Grade students. The samples were chosen randomly. The instrument used in this research is essay posttest with indicator comprehension concept. Data analysis technique used was one party t-test. Based on the result of t-test is   = 3,67, it means better than   = 1,645. In result, the hypothesis is accepted, students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts by using TAI Cooperative Learning was better than a conventional learning, with 95% credibility

Abstract

This research has background by students less activity and concept of students understanding in mathematical, also students teamwork in learning process. This research aims to know students activity and to know what is concept of students understanding in mathematic applying by students was wrong real correct strategy related has good effect than the concept of students understanding in mathematical with conventional study. This research was experiment, with research device of subject was random. The population was class students of  VII SMPN 2 Linggo Sari Baganti. The samples were class of VIIb as experiment and VIId as control class. Instrument this research was final test concept of students understanding in mathematics. Test used in essay form with reliability of test r11 = 0,8955. Technique the data analysis was test by using MINITAB. Based on the value of final test mathematics at both classes of samples obtained by experiment class had mean score = 74,53, standard deviation = 20,11, control class had mean score = 54,14, standard deviation = 21,60. Result of data analysis known by both samples have homogeneous and normal distribution α = 0, 05, P-Value 0,000, so that can be concluded the concept of students understanding in mathematics by applying wrong real correct strategy related had good effect than the students understanding with conventional study at students of VII SMPN 2 Linggo Sari Baganti in academic year 2012/2013.

Abstract

The background of this research is the comprehension of math concepts class VIII SMPN1 South Rao is still low. This study aims to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts with the application of cooperative methods Probing promting better than students comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching class VIII SMPN1 Rao Selatan.Jenis this research is experimental research design Randomized Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students enrolled in the school year 2012/2013. The sampling technique was randomly selected as the class VIII2 VIII1 experimental class and the control class. The instrument used in this study is the final test in the form of essays with a reliability test was 0.89. The data analisys which ttest = 1.74 is greather than ttabel = 1.654it was concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply cooperative learning methods Probing promting better than conventional learning in class VIII SMPN1 South Rao.

Abstract

The comprehension in mathematics concept for students is still low becomes a basic of this research. The purpose of this research is to know what is the comprehension of mathematic concept for cooperatif learning type Pair Kancing Gemerincing better than for implementation of convensional learning’s students for grade VIII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Datar. The type of this research is experimental research by using random planning focused on subject. The populations are students in grade VIII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah datar, which consist of five classes. Moreover, sample of this research is taken by random, VIII3 is for experimental class and VIII2 is for control class. The instrument of this research is the comprehension of mathematics concept test. The techniques of data analysis is using t test for one group by software MINITAB is got P-value < , so this hyphothesis is accepted. In conclusion, the comprehension of mathematics concept for implemented convensional learning’s students. So, inferential The purpose of this research is to know what is the comprehension of mathematic concept for cooperatif learning type Pair Kancing Gemerincing better than for implementation of convensional learning’s students for grade VIII MTsN Subang Anak Kabupaten Tanah Data
