Abstract

Slow learners need specific attention and education services that suit their condition and situation for them to develop their abilities just like other normal children. Teacher roles can become a significant factor in dealing with slow learners, especially in the learning process. The research aims to find out the teacher roles, as well as the inhibiting and supporting factors in dealing with slow learners at SD Muhammadiyah Danugeran in Yogyakarta. The research is qualitative, with a case study approach. The subjects of the study were the school principal, class teachers, and students chosen using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data was analyzed using an interactive inductive data analysis technique, a model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The result suggests that teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran have carried out their roles as demonstrators, class managers, initiators, facilitators, mediators, motivators, and evaluators in dealing with slow learners. Abstrak: Anak-anak slow learner membutuhkan perhatian dan layanan pendidikan sesuai dengan kondisi dan keadaanya. Peran guru menjadi faktor yang sangat penting dalam menangani anak slow learner. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran guru dalam menangani anak slow learner di SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas dan serta peserta didik slow learner. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas, dan siswa yang ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru di SD Muhammadiyah Danunegaran memiliki peran sebagai sebagai demonstrator, pengelola kelas, inisiator, fasilitator, mediator, motivator, dan evaluator dalam menangani anak slow learner.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning process and analyze the impacts of online and offline learning at SDN Makassar 01 Pagi during the Covid-19 period. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study with three instruments, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation. The subjects were teachers of class IV of SDN Makassar 01 Pagi. The data were analyzed using Miles’ & Huberman’s analysis consisting of three steps, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusions drawing/verification. The results indicated that SDN Makasar 01 Pagi implemented asynchronous online learning using WhatsApp and Google Classroom. At the same time, offline learning was carried out in that school with limited students and learning time by implementing health protocols and the media used, such as books, worksheets, teaching aids and media in the school environment. In addition, online and offline learning had positive and negative impacts. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dan menganalisis dampak pembelajaran online dan offline di SDN Makassar 01 Pagi pada masa Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tiga instrumen, yaitu pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas IV SDN Makassar 01 Pagi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis Miles & Huberman yang terdiri dari tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN Makasar 01 Pagi menerapkan pembelajaran online asinkron menggunakan WhatsApp dan Google Classroom. Sementara itu, pembelajaran luring dilaksanakan di sekolah dengan siswa dan waktu belajar yang terbatas serta menerapkan protokol kesehatan.Media yang digunakan seperti buku, LKS, alat peraga dan media di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, pembelajaran online dan offline memiliki dampak positif dan negatif.

Abstract

The learning process that switches to the online system requires the enactment of assessment emergencies in various schools. This study aims to determine the assessment process of student learning during Covid-19, the impact of emergency assessment on student conditions during learning, and the implications of emergency assessment on the quality of education. This research method is a mixed method with a phenomenological approach. The instruments used are in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study show that the emergency assessment was carried out not optimally. The implementation of emergency assessments leads to a decrease in motivation, participation, understanding, and changes in the way students learn. This makes the quality of learning during the Covid-19 period worse. There has been a decline in student motivation, learning achievement, and morals, as well as a cumulation of competency standard (KD) loads at the next level. Abstrak: Proses pembelajaran yang beralih ke sistem online membutuhkan pemberlakuan keadaan darurat penilaian di berbagai sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penilaian pembelajaran siswa pada masa Covid-19, dampak darurat penilaian terhadap kondisi siswa saat pembelajaran, dan implikasi darurat penilaian terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode campuran dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Intrumen yang digunakan berupa kuisioner, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penilaian darurat dilakukan secara tidak optimal. Pelaksanaan penilaian darurat menyebabkan penurunan motivasi, partisipasi, pemahaman, dan perubahan cara belajar siswa. Hal tersebut menjadikan kualitas pembelajaran di masa Covid-19 semakin memburuk. Telah terjadi penurunan terhadap motivasi, prestasi belajar siswa, dan akhlak siswa, serta penumpukan beban standar kompetensi (KD) di tingkat berikutnya.

Abstract

In the digital era, learning history is more directed at reviving students' divergent thinking power. By applying this different way of thinking, teachers can use historical resources available on the internet. This research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine the idea of divergent thinking in exploring students' creative efforts in reading historical sources from the internet. Based on the results of the concept of developing different ways of thinking about historical sources, this is a form of student creativity to imagine the work of historians in using and evaluating historical sources to write history. Students can already see how ideas, especially initial ideas, that students share with historical sources shared by the teacher can lead to creative actions. And these results can be used as a benchmark for teachers on how to teach history based on the level of thinking ability and the way students learn. Abstrak: Pada era digital, pembelajaran sejarah lebih diarahkan untuk menghidupkan daya berpikir divergen siswa. Penerapan Cara berpikir berbeda ini guru dapat menggunakan sumber sejarah yang tersedia di internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR), untuk mengkaji gagasan divirgen thinking eksplorasi usaha kreatif siswa dalam membaca sumber sejarah dari internet. Berdasarkan hasil konsep pengembangan cara berpikir yang berbeda dalam sumber sejarah ini adalah sebagai bentuk kreativitas siswa dalam rangka membayangkan karya sejarawan dalam menggunakan dan menilai sumber sejarah untuk keperluan penulisan sejarah. Siswa sudah dapat menampilkan bagaimana gagasan, gagasan awal yang siswa ceritakan dengan sumber sejarah yang dibagikan oleh guru sebagai tindakan kreatif. Dan hasil tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai tolak ukur dari guru bagaimana seharusnya mengajar sejarah yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan berpikir dan cara siswa belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the brainstorming method in the teacher professional ethics subject at PAI (Islamic Education) Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Alauddin Makassar. This research is a qualitative research with pedagogic, sociological, and phenomenological approaches. The data sources of this research consist of primary data and secondary data. The results show that: first, the implementation of the brainstorming learning method is as follows; (a) always creating strong interpersonal, especially empathy, respect and sincerity; (b) creating good relations with students; (c) sincerity in accepting and caring for students; (d) expressions of interest and enthusiasm; and (e) creating an atmosphere of togetherness; second, the results of the brainstorming method gave maximum learning results, such as: (a) intellectual skills, (b) cognitive aspects, (c) affective aspects, and (d) psychomotor aspects or skills. Therefore, the brainstorming method can be an alternative in maximizing student learning outcomes. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat penerapan metode brainstorming Mata Kuliah Etika Pengembangan Profesi Keguruan Prodi PAI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar, Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan pedagogik, sosiologis, dan fenomenologi. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri atas data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Analisis Implementasi metode pembelajaran brainstorming pada mahasiswa Prodi PAI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar sebagai berikut: (a) senantiasa menciptakan interpersonal yang kuat, khususnya empati, respek dan kesungguhan; (b) menciptakan hubungan yang baik dengan mahasiswa; (c) kesungguhan dalam menerima dan peduli terhadap peserta didik atau mahasiswa; (d) mengekspresikan ketertarikan dan antusisme; dan (e) menciptakan suatu atmosfer kebersamaan. Kedua, hasil metode brainstorming pada mahasiswa prodi PAI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Kegurauan UIN Alauddin Makassar memberikan hasil belajar yang maksimal. Seperti (a) keterampilan intelektual, (b) aspek kognitif, (c) aspek afektif, dan (d) aspek psikomotor atau keterampilan. Oleh karena itu, metode brainstorming dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam memaksimalkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research describes the effect of using Big Book media based on peer tutors to cognitive abilities in the fifth-grade students at MIN 1 Makassar. This research used quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design one-shot case study. The sample of this study was 57 fifth-grade students. The results of this research have been obtained. First, the use of Big Book media based on peer tutors in the fifth-grade students of MIN 1 Makassar was in the good category with an average value in the interval 113-118. Second, the cognitive abilities were fairly high at intervals of 66-76. Third, the hypothesis test results using one sample t-test analysis indicated the effect of using Big Book media based on peer tutors on the students’ cognitive abilities. Therefore, this study is expected to be a consideration for schools and teachers to use Big Book media to accommodate students' learning needs. Abstrak: Penelitian ini menjelaskan pengaruh penggunaan media Big Book berbasis tutor sebaya terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas V di MIN 1 Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one-shot case study. Sampel penelitian ini sevanyak 57 siswa kelas V. Hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh, pertama, penggunaan media Big Book berdasarkan tutor sebaya pada siswa kelas V MIN 1 Makassar berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata pada interval 113-118. Kedua, kemampuan kognitif cukup tinggi dengan interval 66-76. Ketiga, hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis one sample t-test menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan media Big Book berbasis tutor sebaya terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi sekolah dan guru untuk menggunakan media Big Book yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems in elementary schools, namely learning media that are not yet varied and the limitations of tools and materials in the learning process. The of this research development to (a) determine the attractiveness of this smart book media in the learning process on animal life cycle material and (b) determine the level of students' understanding after using the smart book media. This research method the Research and Development (R&D) type of ADDIE development model, which has five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research design was a one-group pre-test and post-test design, with before-after experiments. The research was carried out at SDN Baban 1 Sumenep, with 30 fourth-grade students as tested subjects. The instruments used to obtain data were observation, questionnaires and achievement tests of learning outcomes. The results of the development carried out (a) The results of the trial to determine the level of attractiveness of smart book media in fourth-grade students obtained a percentage of 96.8%. (b) The level of students' understanding increasing, as seen from the average pre-test score of 60.3% and the post-test average value of 84.2%; it can be inferred that students effectively used the smart book media. The results of the t-test with a significance level of 0.05 obtained t-count = 5,542 > t-table = 1,699, which means t-count > t-table. These results prove that there were differences in students' understanding before and after using the smart book media for animal life cycle material (metamorphosis). Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada masalah yang ditemukan di sekolah dasar yaitu media pembelajaran yang belum bervariatif, serta keterbatasan alat dan bahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk (a) mengetahui daya tarik media smart book ini dalam proses pembelajaran materi daur hidup hewan dan (b) mengetahui tingkat pemahaman siswa setelah menggunakan media smart book. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE tipe Research and Development (R&D), yang memiliki lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pre-test post-test design, dengan sebelum-sesudah eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Baban 1 Sumenep dengan subjek uji coba 30 siswa kelas IV. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data menggunakan observasi, angket dan tes ketercapaian hasil belajar. Hasil pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah (a) Hasil uji coba untuk mengetahui tingkat daya tarik media smart book pada siswa kelas IV diperoleh persentase sebesar 96,8%. (b) Tingkat pemahaman siswa meningkat, terlihat dari nilai rata-rata pre-test 60,3% dan nilai rata-rata post-test 84,2%; dapat dikatakan bahwa siswa efektif menggunakan media smart book. Hasil uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh t-hitung = 5,542 > t-tabel = 1,699 yang berarti t-hitung > t-tabel. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media smart book pada materi daur hidup hewan (metamorfosis).

Abstract

The intensity of online learning impacts students' self-confidence in solving problems, their ability to interact with other people, and even their achievements. This study aims to examine the correlation between self-efficacy, social skills, and students’ grade point average (GPA) through a correlational method with an explanatory design and using questionnaires and interview sheets. The sample was taken randomly, totaling 55 students of the elementary school teacher education program at one of the state universities in Purwakarta, Indonesia. The findings show a correlation between student self-efficacy and the Grade Point Average; there is a correlation between social skills and GPA. When self-efficacy and social skills separately increase, the GPA will increase and vice versa. In addition, there is no correlation between student self-efficacy and social skills. Moreover, there is no correlation between self-efficacy and social skills simultaneously with the GPA. When self-efficacy and social skills increased, it was not confident that the GPA would increase. Self-efficacy and social skills have an impact on one's achievement. Therefore, the interactive and easily accessible online learning development is needed. Abstrak: Intensitas pembelajaran online memberi dampak pada keyakinan diri mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah, kemampuanya dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain, bahkan prestasinya. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengkaji hubungan antara efikasi diri, keterampilan sosial, dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) siswa melalui metode korelasional dengan desain eksplanatori dan menggunakan instrumen angket dan lembar wawancara. Sampel diambil secara acak yang berjumlah 55 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan guru sekolah dasar di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Purwakarta, Indonesia. Temuan menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy mahasiswa dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, adanya hubungan antara keterampilan sosial mahasiswa dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif, sehingga ketika self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial mahasiswa secara terpisah meningkat maka indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa akan meningkat dan sebaliknya. Selain itu tidak adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy mahasiswa dengan keterampilan sosial sehingga ketika self-efficacy meningkat atau menurun maka tidak dapat dipastikan keterampilan akan menunjukkan hasil yang sama. Serta ditemukan tidak adanya hubungan antara self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial secara bersamaan dengan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif mahasiswa. Self-efficacy dan keterampilan sosial berdampak pada prestasi seseorang. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan pembelajaran online interaktif dan akses mudah diperlukan.

Abstract

The urgency of the research is that teachers can improve students’ interpersonal communication skills, which can affect student discipline in learning, so that their learning outcomes can be increased during the pandemic. The purpose of the study was to determine differences in teacher interpersonal communication skills and to determine student learning discipline distinctions in each school in Islamic education lessons, as well as the effect of teacher interpersonal communication skills on students' discipline during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMPN 20 Jambi City and SMPN 20 Bengkulu. The type of research is mixed methods with an explanatory design. The total number of samples was 72 active students with random sampling data collection techniques and data analysis techniques using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of the T-test showed significant differences in teachers' interpersonal communication skills and distinctions in students’ learning disciplines in each school. Meanwhile, the regression test result indicated a significant influence of teacher interpersonal communication on student learning discipline in Islamic education lessons during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstrak: Urgensi penelitian adalah guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal kepada siswa yang dapat mempengaruhi kedisiplinannya dalam belajar, sehingga hasil belajarnya dapat meningkat di masa pandemi. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal guru dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan disiplin belajar siswa pada masing-masing sekolah pada pelajaran pendidikan agama islam, serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap disiplin siswa pada masa pandemi COVID-19 di SMPN 20 Jambi city dan SMPN 20 Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah mix method research dengan explanatory design. Jumlah sampel 72 siswa aktif dengan teknik pengumpulan data random sampling dan teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil Uji-t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal guru di masing-masing sekolah serta disiplin belajar siswa, terdapat perbedaan di setiap sekolah. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap disiplin belajar siswa pada pembelajaran pendidikan agama islam masa pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Several studies revealed that mathematics problems in textbooks, which were expected to encourage students’ reasoning and problem-solving skills, were still lacking. This study aimed to compare Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean mathematics textbooks based on the cognitive level of Bloom's taxonomy, representation form, contextual feature, and response type. The data were collected through documentation and observation. The research results indicated that on the cognitive level, the C3-C4 level dominated the Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean textbooks. Regarding representation form, Pythagorean problems in Indonesian textbooks used visual and combined forms, while Singaporean textbooks applied mostly combined forms. In contextual feature and response type, Pythagorean problems in Indonesian and Singaporean textbooks used non-application and closed-ended problems. Therefore, the result of this study is expected to contribute to the improvement of high-quality mathematics textbooks, which can compete internationally to support students’ learning. Abstract: Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan soal-soal matematika dalam buku ajar Indonesia yang diharapkan dapat mendorong kemampuan penalaran dan pemecahan masalah siswa masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan soal-soal Teorema Pythagoras dalam buku matematika Indonesia dan Singapura berdasarkan tingkat kognitif Bloom, bentuk representasi, fitur kontekstual, dan tipe respon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tingkat kognitif, soal Pythagoras dalam buku teks Indonesia dan Singapura sebagian besar berada pada kategori C3-C4. Terkait bentuk representasi, soal-soal Pythagoras dalam buku Indonesia lebih banyak menggunakan bentuk visual dan gabungan, sedangkan buku Singapura lebih banyak menggunakan bentuk gabungan. Pada aspek fitur kontekstual dan tipe respon, soal-soal Pythagoras baik dalam buku Indonesia dan buku Singapura menggunakan soal non-aplikasi dan soal tertutup. Oleh kare itu, hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas buku teks matematika yang dapat bersaing secara internasional, untuk mendukung pembelajaran siswa.
