Abstract

As a developing country, Indonesia continues to strive for the welfare of society. One of the efforts is to improve the proper health services, especially in coastal areas. The success of health services should be supported by the medical workers who have the role of professional conduct . The aim of this research is to discover the professional behavior of health-care workers of Tanah Merah community health care (Puskesmas), Indragiri Hilir Regency, that was reflected by the six elements of professionalism. The design of this research uses exploration method with qualitative approaches on five health-care workers of Puskesmas Tanah Merah, Indragiri Hilir Regency, who were selected by using snowball sampling method. Data collection was done by interview and recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all the informants possess altruism, accountability, excellence, duty, honor and integrity, and respect for other.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers.

Abstract

One of important aspect to support optimal health care improvement is the availability of health worker who have professional conduct, especially in coastal region. It is due to the low level of public health in the most of the coastal region in Indonesia. Needs of the professional health workers in the coastal region are in the health care center as the first strata health care centers area that become advance in providing services. Exploration method with qualitative approaches was applied as the research design. Seven health care workers of Puskesmas Sungai Sembilan Dumai City were selected as responden by using snowball sampling method. Data were collected by using interview method recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all the informants possess altruism, accountability, excellence, honor and integrity. duty and respect for other.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers

Abstract

Diabetic ulcer is chronic complication of diabetes melitus shown as connective tissues ulceration and destruction on lower limbs caused by uncontrollable hyperglycaemic of Diabetes melitus patient that lead into peripheral angiopathy and neuropathy so that bacterial infection trauma will easily occur. This research’s goal is to find out bacterial pattern and antibiotic resistance of second grade diabetic ulcer patients that have been hospitalized in General Hospital Arifin Achmad on 2012. 23 comprehensive medical records have been used in this descriptive and retrospective methode of research. From distribution of age category has been found 40-59 years old as the highest percentage (87%). Based on gender has been found female respondents (78,3%) and male respondents (21,7%). Most of patients have been suffered Diabetes melitus for less than 5 years (60,9%) and allowed to went home after treatment (82,6%). Most commonly bacteria that found based on bacterial culture and resistance test was Acinetobacter baumanii (34,8%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (26,2%) and Escherichia coli (17,4%). Amoxicillin and ampicillin have lowest sensitivity (0%), followed by trimethoprim/sulfametoxazole (17,4%) and cefotaxime as well as ciprofloxacin was 21,7%. The highest sensitivity antibiotics was meropenem (100%), imipenem, amikacin, and colistin (95,6%), followed by ertapenem (91,3%).Keywords: diabetic ulcer, bacterial pattern, resistance test, sensitivity, antibiotic

Abstract

Increasing health services for coastal settlement that have low health degree issue should be directional priority of health subtlety. Health workers are the main factor to realize the optimum health effort. Professional health workers action needed for increasing the quality and the development health workers profession. The aim of this research is to discover the professional behavior of health-care workers of Selat Baru community health care (Puskesmas), Bengkalis Regency, that was reflected by the six elements of professionalism. The design of this research uses exploration method with qualitative approaches on seven health-care workers of Puskesmas Selat Baru, Bengkalis Regency, who were selected by using snowball sampling method. Data collection was done by interview and recorded with an audio recorder. The result of this research showed that all the informants possess altruism, accountability, duty and respect for other. Some informant who possess excellence and honor and integrity. In general, half of the Selat Baru community health center (puskesmas) health-care workers possess the elements of professional behavior in carrying their duty, especially in providing service for the patients.Key word : professional behavior, health-care workers.

Abstract

Cardiorespiratory endurance is ability of heart system, lungs and blood vesselsto optimal function when do daily activity in long time without serious tired.Cardiorespiratory endurance influenced some factors such as: age, sex, nutritionalstatus, sport and smoke habits. Harvard step test is one of cardiorespiratory enduranceinspection that can do in the field with use simple tools, cheap, and easy to do by allpeople. This research is the analytical research with cross sectional approach thatpurpose to know the relation of smoke habits with cardiorespiratory endurance of manlecturer in social and politicies faculty in riau university by taking over sample technicsis total sampling. There are 40 man lecturers in 45-65 years old, but 31 of them fillinclude criteria. The result of research show there are relation that meaning betweensmoke habits and cardiorespiratory endurance with medium correlation strong anddirection negative correlation (r=-0,497 ; p=0,001). Conclusion in this research is mostof man lecturer have smoke habits in medium smoker category with enoughcardiorespiratory endurance.Keywords : smoke habits, cardiorespiratory endurance

Abstract

Resilience is an individual ability to face a difficult situations. First year students have to deal with new environment which sometimes difficult. The purpose of this study was to find out the resilience level of first year students in Medical Faculty of Riau University. This study used descriptive cross-sectional method. The population are students in the Faculty of Riau University batch 2013. Samples of this research were 119 students. This research used a questionnaire based on the Reivich & Shatte's Resilience Theory. From the result, it was found that the majority (89,07%) students are in intermediate level of resilience. The aspects of resilience in order from highest to lowest level are empathy, emotion regulation, achievement, self-efficacy, optimism, analyzes the causes of the problem, and control of impulse.

Abstract

Obesity is an increase body weight above normal caused by multifactorial such as genetic factor, individual factors and especially the sedentary lifestyle. Worker community are recognized as one of community at high risk of obesity and the risk can be minimalized by having good knowledge and attitude of obesity and its prevention. The aim of this research was to know the relationship of knowledge and attitude with obesity at the Local Secretary Officer Riau Province. A cross sectional research was performed involving 44 subjects. Obesity was determined by using body mass index. Knowledge and attitude were measured by some questionnaire. The result of obesity showed 50% samples were obese. The result of knowledge showed 36.4% subject had good knowledge, 56,8% had enough knowledge and 6.8% subject had bad knowledge. Futhermore, the result of attitude showed 11.4% subjects had good attitude, 75% subjects had enough attitude and 13.6% subjects have a bad attitude. Statistic analyzing using Kolmogorov Smirnov test showed there was no relationship either between knowledge and obesity or attitude and obesity (p> 0,05) in this research.Keywords: knowledge, attitude, obesity

Abstract

Endometrium carcinoma is epitel primer malignant tumour in endometrium, generaly the differential of grandular and have potential into myometrium. There are two kind histological type of endometrium carcinoma, 1) endometrium adecarcinoma type I with histological type (endometrioid adenocarcinoma) with well differentiated caracteristic and supervitial invasion. 2) endometrium adecarcinoma type 2 with poorly differentiated or agresif histologic type (clear cell, papiler serous) invasion into myometrium. Most of endometrium carcinoma cases commonly related to cronic endometrium estrogen stimulation which is related to type I of endometrium carcinoma. the purpose of this research is to indentified patient’s profile of endometrium carcinoma in RSUD arifin ahmad pekanbaru period 2008-2013. Sample were taken by a histopatologic diagnose in patologic anatomy department of RSUD arifin ahmad pekanbaru. The amount of carcinoma patient period 2008-2013 is about 58 cases and just 43 cases have complete profile. The profile is about age, parity and histopatologic type. Based on the result of the data , it can be concluded that the most amount of endometrium carcinoma is in range of age 41-50 years old (45%), the most parity is in 0 parity (nuliparitas) (54%), and the most histopatologic type is endometrioid adenocarcinoma (90%).Key words : Endometrium Carcinoma, Endometrium carcinoma type 1, Endometrium carcinoma Type 2PENDAHULUANKarsinoma endometrium adalah tumor ganas epitel primer

Abstract

Sexual offence is one of social problem that often happened in society. One of the best evidence used for investigation was semen and sperm found in a victim’s dress. A dress usually made by cotton fabric. This research aimed to discover the influence of washing method to semen and sperm test result in a cotton fabric. This research planned as experimental research, used berberio test for semen and baechi test for sperm test. The result concluded that semen still visible up to 7 days, while the sperm only lasts 3 to 4 days. Conclusion there is no influence of washing found in semen test result while the washing method did influence the sperm test result in the cotton fabric. Abstract

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways. Spirometry is an examination technique to assessment lung function of patient asthma and Asthma Control Test (ACT) as a tool consist of questionaires to assessing controlled asthma, ACT are subjective but has been validated and can be used easily. This research aimed to determine description of lung function and scoring Asthma Control Test (ACT) in pulmonologic outpatient clinic general hospital Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Design of the study was descriptive cross sectional and accidental sampling method already done January until March 2014 accordance to the inclusive criteria. Amount of samples are 73 asthma patients were asked to fill out questionaires of ACT under the supervision of researchers and asthma patient following spirometry screening. The result of this research is asthma patient characteristics more in age group between 45-54 years (39,73%), gender more in woman (78,08%), status of nutrient more in normal weight (32,51%), more work as housewife (46,58%), smoking history more as former smoker (43,75%), and more in classified as moderate persistence asthma (47,94%). Asthma control more were controlled (57,53%), more pulmonary faal were mild obstructive (52,05%), and comparison of pulmonary faal and ACT there are (30,14%) more in obstructive classified with controlled asthma.Key words : Asthma patient, spirometry, Asthma Control Test (ACT)
