Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine students 'attitudes toward learning science in physics, know the score physics student learning outcomes and determine the relationship between students' attitudes toward science in the study of physics with a score of physics learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 1 Reteh. The subject of this research is 157 students. This research used survey method for determine attitudes students toward learning science. Instrument used is questionnaire ratings attitude toward science that has 4 indicators. learning outcomes it comes from the score of exam results second semester of the school year 2016/2017 derived from teacher. The outcome assessment students' attitudes toward science are already on high-value category average score of 2.96. Scores of learning outcomes physics student at SMPN 1 Reteh VIII grade is high, as 75.16% of the samples are in the category of very high and high. While determinants coefficient (r2) 0,774 stated that 77.4% the learning outcomes of students in the classroom VIII physics SMPN 1 Reteh, determined by the students 'attitudes toward science Based on these results, it was concluded there was a positive relationship between students' attitudes toward science with physics student learning outcomes and student attitudes towards science affect the physics student learning outcomes by with amount correlation coefficient is 0,88 dan regression coefficient is 1,81.Keywords: Science Attitude, Relationshi, Learning Outcomes, Correlation, Regression.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify and describe the types of metaphor used by journalist on political issues in The Jakarta Post newspaper and to discover the dominant type of metaphor. This is a qualitative research with analysis method. Five copies of The Jakarta Post newspaper which from May 15th 2017 edition until May 19th 2017 edition were used and analyzed on political issues only. There were 27 collected data from 18 political issues that contained metaphor. Ontological metaphor appears 16 times, structural metaphor appears 7 times and orientational metaphor appears 4 times. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that ontological metaphor is the dominant type of metaphor that journalist used to write their opinion or to convey the news in political issues. It is suggested that future researchers who are interested in metaphor need to deepen analysis since political world and journalists keep changing through times so that they can provide new results.Keywords: Metaphor, metaphor in newspaper, The Jakarta Post.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of pop-up book media on spatial visual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Al-Latif District Tambang Kampar regency. The population in this study that is the children of class B1 which amounted to 18 children and the sample in this study are 18 children. The method used is pre-experiment with one group pretest posttest design that is experiment conducted on one group only without any comparison group. The type of instrument used in this study is to use observation and documentation guidelines to record the activities that occurred during the treatment given. The data analysis technique is using Wilcoxon test by using SPSS Statistic Ver.23. There is a significant influence between pop-up book media and spatial visual intelligence. This can be known from the results of data analysis obtained Wilcoxon test statistics. That sign result is 0.00 <0.05. This can be interpreted that there are differences in the success rate of children's science skills before and after treatment using pop-up book media. When referenced to the value of Z then obtained Zcount results of -3.771. Pop-up book media technique gives effect of 31,7% which is in medium category.Keywords: Pop-Up Book Media, Spatial Visual Intelligence

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematics instrument as supporting referring to 2013 curiculum. This study has purpose to develop mathematics learning instruments as lesson plans and student worksheet with problem based learning’s model on comparison of class for 7th grade junior high school. This method used are 4D model by Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. But, in this study only to third step or develop step. A learning instruments was validating by three validator and then fix based on validator’s suggestion. Lesson plans that has validated, then trials to small group consist of eight students from SMP Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of lesson plans is 3,71 and mean score of student worksheet is 3,76. This student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification with mean percentage of student respone is 94,37 on small test group.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Problem Based Learning, Comparison.

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted aims to improve learning outcomes IPA fourth grade students of SDN 016 Sekeladi by applying inquiry learning model. Formulation of the problem: Does the implementation of inquiry learning model can improve learning outcomes IPA grade IV SDN 016 Sekeladi Tanah Putih Hilir.Penelitian Rokan was held on 13 April 2016 until May 4, 2016 with 2 cycles. The subjects were students of class IV SDN 016 Sekeladi totaling 18 people who used the data source. Data collection instrument in this thesis is the teacher and student activity sheets and learning outcomes. This thesis presents the results obtained from the study before action replay value with an average of 62.22, an increase in the first cycle with the average being 72.05. In the second cycle increased by an average of 80.56. Activities teachers in the learning process in the first cycle, the first meeting of 58.33%, and a second meeting be 66.66%. At the first meeting of the second cycle of 75%, and the second meeting increased to 83.33%. The results of the data analysis activities of students in the first cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting of 54,13% increase to 62.50%. In the second cycle to the first meeting of 70.83%, and the second meeting increased to 83.33%. The results of the study in class IV SDN 016 Sekeladi prove that the implementation of inquiry learning model can improve learning outcomes IPA grade IV SDN 016 Sekeladi Tanah Putih. Key Words: Learning Model Inkuri, Learning Outcomes IPA

Abstract

ABSTRACT, Background problem in this research is the students' SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan learning outcomes result was not good enough that found by researcher at the time of observation in the field. Researcher suspect this is because one of the factors, namely physical fitness. This research is a correlational that aims to examine the relationship between variables, namely: the independent variable is the physical fitness (X1) and the dependent variable is the learning outcomes (Y) student at SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan. While this research aims to prove whether there is a physical fitness contributes to student learning outcomes SMPS Ampean Rotan. This research data obtained from the 2.4 km run test and MID semester result. The sample in this study is students of class VII Ampean SMPS which amounted to 32 people using total sampling technique. For male students, there is a significant relationship between physical fitness (X1) to learning outcomes (Y) male students SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan, obtained rhitung = 0,816> rtabel = 0.576. Physical fitness contributes to learning outcomes male students at SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan at 66.59%. Then female studnets, there is a significant relationship between physical fitness (X1) on learning outcomes (Y) female student SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan, obtained rhitung = 0.681> rtabel = 0.444. Physical fitness contributes to student learning outcomes SMPS Ampean Rotan Simpang Kanan at 46.38%.Keywords : Contribution, Physical Fitness, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observations of researchers in the field that the precision of the athletes smash volleyball Pekanbaru SVC has not been so good. Seen at the time of easy smash opponents in the same block, then the ball is not exactly saasaran or balls out. Apart from that smash done by athletes often on the net, easily taken by the opponent, and so forth. The purpose of this study was to look at the relationship between leg muscle explosive power and hand-eye coordination with the precision of a smash in volleyball athletes SVC Pekanbaru. The population in this study were all volleyball athletes SVC Pekanbaru daughter who follow the practice of volleyball totaling 12. Guided by the description contained in the population at the top, then according Sudjana (1996: 5) sampling determined by total sampling, it is given the number of population small and will be made in the sample as well as the players who participated in the training. Thus the sample is taken volleyball players who totaled 12 people. The instrument used to collect data that tests of leg muscle explosive power with power vertical jump test, and hand eye coordination by using tests of throwing catching the ball and accuracy test spike a volleyball with a measuring accuracy as a smash by using the target containing the figures. Data that was obtained in the correlation analysis using simple and multiple produc moment. Based on the results of the study that the results obtained explosive power leg muscles have a relationship with the precision of Smash in athletes volleyball SVC Pekanbaru, then from the results obtained hand-eye coordination have a relationship with the precision of Smash in athletes volleyball SVC Pekanbaru and there is a relationship together -Same between leg muscle explosive power and hand-eye coordination of the accuracy of Smash in Pekanbaru SVC volleyball athletes.Keywords: Explosive Power limb muscles, and Hand Eye Coordination, Accuracy smash

Abstract

Abstrack: The background of this study is students low in mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The aimed of study is to find out whether there is significant effect of using “problem based learning model” toward students mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau. The study employed the pre-experimental research focus on the static group comparison study design. The sampling of technique was purposive. The samples were two classes that have been purposive sampling after normality test and homogeneity test with the class as an experimental class and control class as a class. There were two sampling in this study; the experimental class was using “problem based learning model” and the control class with scientific approach learning. Data analysis technique used was t-test . Based on the final results of data processing obtained t > t table (1.714 > 1.666) meaning that the application of methods of problem based learning affect learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the material algebra. The finding of this research showed experimental class better than control class (78.13 > 71.13). So, it can be concluded there was significant effect of using problem based learning model toward student’s mathematical of VII grade at SMP Negeri 4 Mandau on the first semester academic years 2016/2017 on the material algebra.Key Word : The result of mathematical, problem based learning model, pre-experimental research.

Abstract

Abstract : The research about application of active learning Football Verbal strategy to improve students learning achievement on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X SMAN 2 Kampar have been done. Tipe of research is experiment research with design randomized control group pretest-posttest. The sample consisted of two classes, which are X4 as experiment class and X3 as control class that randomly selected after testing normality and homogeneity. Experiment class was given treatment with implementing active learning Football Verbal strategy while the control class wasnot given active learning Football Verbal strategy. Analysis of data used t-test. Results of the analysis showed that tscore > ttable (3,66 > 1,67), it means that the active learning Football Verbal strategy can improve students achievement on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X SMAN2 Kampar. The category improvement of students learning achievement in experiment class was high category and in control class was medium category with N-gain 0,78 and 0,67 sequentially.Key Words : Active Learning Football Verbal strategy, Learning Achievement, Hydrocarbon

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of the study is to know the influencet of capital and the participation of members abaut (SHU) on KPRI University of Riau. The subject of this study is the members of KPRI University OF Riau, amount 94 people, the samples are taken by using the proportional sampling. The data are primary data and secondary data with data collection by using questionnaires and documentation. The echnique of analysis data I used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis processed through SPSS 16.0 For Windows and Microsoft Excel program. The results of this study indicate that capital and the participation have significant effect on SHU. It’s meani the more higher capital from the member so the more hugher parcipation of member too and it wiil be increasing attainment of SHU. In other hard for increasing SHU, the operation need the motivation from the member by capital or the participation.Key Words: Cooperatives, Capital, Member Participation, the balance of the enterprises, SHU
