Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to find out whether there is a significant effect of using wordless picture on the second year students’ ability of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru in writing narrative texts.This research is a pre-experimental research using one group pre-test post-test design. In conducting this research, a single group without control group was selected to be a sample. There were 31 students were selected as the sample by using cluster random sampling. A writing test was used both in pre and post-test. T-test formula was used in order to find out the difference between pre-test and post-test and to analyze the hypotheses. After analyzing the data, it was found that t-test score was 6.302 while t-table score in significance level 5% df= 29was 2.05. Since t-test was higher than t-table, it can be concluded that alternative hypothesis was accepted and null hypothesis was rejected. It can be further understood that “there is a significant effect of using wordless picture on the second year students’ ability of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru in writing narrative texts”. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that wordless picture can help the students to improve their writing ability especially in writing narrative text.Key Words: Effect,Wordless Picture, Writing Ability, Narrative Text

Abstract

Abstract: A research was conducted to find out the Local Wisdom of Lubuk Larangan Management in Subayang River for the development of Environmental Education Course Module conducted in Gema Village, Tanjung Belit Village and Batu Songgan Village Kampar Kiri Hulu District Kampar Province Riau Province from November 2015 to February 2016. The research is used for the development of Environmental Education course module, in two stages namely the data collection stage and the module development stage. The main parameter in this research is the management of Lubuk Larangan in Kecamatan Kampar Kiri Hulu. The management component was developed from Law 32 Year 2009. Data collection using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method, survey, interview, and literature study. Further data were collected on the Biological Factor of Lubuk Larangan. The results of the research indicate that the community has local wisdom in the management of Lubuk Larangan in Subayang River: (1) Planning, the community has the knowledge to select the lubuk along the Subayang River that will be used as Lubuk Larangan area; (2) Utilization, fish harvesting is allocated for community youth, ninik mamak, and for mosque construction; (3) Controlling, banning and myth in the Lubuk Larangan area; (4) Maintenance, conservation efforts; (5) Supervision, the community of the implementation of the principle of mutual cooperation which of course can not be separated from existing adat institutions; (6) Law Enforcement, communities along the Subayang river implement a system of fines and beliefs in Lubuk Larangan. Abstract

Abstract : This study in background backs by low learning outcomes IPS Grade IV SDN 016 Sekeladi ie with an average of 56.0. Of the 15 students, only 6 students achieve the learning outcomes and 9 students who do not achieve the learning outcomes of a predefined KKM is 65. This research aims to improve learning outcomes through the application of learning models IPS quantum teaching in grade IV SDN 016 Sekeladi Tanah Putih Rokan Hilir district. This research is a classroom action research. Cycle stages in the repair of this study megalami twice the cycle in which the data were collected through observation of teacher activity and student activity observation during the learning process and the results of daily tests. The results showed that the application of quantum model of teaching can improve learning outcomes IPS. This proved the average value obtained by students each cycle has increased. The average yield obtained preliminary data 56.0. After improvement of learning through quantum model of teaching in the first cycle 64.0. Dilanjutakan to the second cycle on average earn 73.3. Mean that teachers in the application of quantum learning model of teaching in social studies in accordance with the abilities of students so that the resulting self-confidence in students to absorb the lessons and can improve learning outcomes IPS. The activities of teachers in the application of Quantum models of teaching have increased in the first cycle the first meeting increased 58.33% 68.75% Second meeting, the second cycle of the first meeting to meeting increased 70.83% to 81.25% II. Student activity in the application of Quantum Teaching models to improve learning outcomes IPS has increased from cycle to cycle. Student activity first cycle of meetings I got a score of 33 with a percentage of 68.75%, while the second meeting got a score of 34 percentage 70.83%. Cycle II perteman I got a total score of 35 with a percentage of 72.91% and the second cycle of the second meeting got a total score of 38 with the percentage becomes 79.16%. Keywords: Model Quantum Teaching, Learning Outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the lack of ICT-based learning media especially on geometry in the topic of circle. The topic of circle has potency to be developed visually by using a computer device to facilitate students to understand this topic. This study used Borg and Gall’s model that was modified by Sugiyono. The aim of this study is to develop valid and practical ICT-based media for learning mathematics to facilitate the 8th grade junior high school students to understand the topic of circle. The subjects were 35 students at 8th grade Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru. The instruments used were a questionnaire sheet for content validation, media validation and student responses. The questionnaires sheets were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The analyzed data and discussion showed that ICT-based media for learning mathematics is valid with an average score of 3.16 by content validator and 2.85 by media validator. This media is also qualified and practical with an average of student responses was 0.98 on a small group test and 0.93 in the big group.Key Word : Instructional Media, ICT-based Media, Learning Mathematics.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the lack of code of the nation. One was the religious character of today's young generation. Spiritual Quotient has a role to influence the religious character of students. In this schools with a variety of activities to improve spiritual intelligence will affect the religious character of students. therefore, the formulation of the problem of this research is how the influence of spiritual quotient against the religious character of students MTs Nurul Iman Dusun Cita Harapan Sungai Ara Village District of Kempas Regency of Indragiri Hilir. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of spiritual quotient against the religious character of students MTs Nurul Iman  Dusun Cita Harapan Sungai Ara Village Distric of Kempas Regency of Indragiri Hilir. This research is useful for the reader to add insight and information about education. This research method is quantitative descriptive. Data collection instruments used were a questionnaire consisting of 25 statements about spiritual quotient (variable X) and 25 statement about religious character (variable Y) distributed to 58 student respondents. Data analysis using simple linear regression. Thus the hypothesis that "there Effect significant spiritual quotient against the religious character of students MTs Nurul Iman Dusun Cita Harapan Sungai Ara Village Distric of  Kempas Regency of Indragiri Hilir" acceptable. This is evidenced by a series of simple linear regression between the variables X and Y, obtained Fhitung 6.501 and 4.01 Ftabel obtained from the distribution list Ftabel with N = 58, the significant level of 5%, thus Fhitung ≥ Ftabel, or 6,501 ≥ 4 ,01 then Ho is rejected, so the hypothesis in this study received.  Key Words: Spiritual Quotient, Religious Character

Abstract

Abstrack : Education, in the process requires the learning media that is able to create conditions better learning so as to create a sense of fun and curiosity in students to achieve a goal of learning in the form of learning outcomes. This study is a class action (Classroom Action Research (CAR)). This research was done in class X SMA 10 Pekanbaru in the second semester of FY 2016/2017. Its object is the use of media in the learning process. Results from the study showed that the use of instructional media on the subjects of Economic improve learning outcomes of value - average test cycle I 68.54 into 80.08 in value - average test cycle II class with learning completeness reached 89.58% higher from the default of 78.Key word : Instructional Media, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: Development of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 on the topic rate of reaction has been done. Development of learning media to get a valid learning media. The research and development method used ADDIE models which consists of five stages are analysis, design, development, implement and evaluate. Data collected technique used validation sheet was given to three validators (two of media expert and a matter experts). The results showed score of the designing aspectswas 3,73; pedagogic aspects was 4; the content aspects was 3,83; the ease of use aspects was 3,93.Average score overall validation of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 on the topic rate of reactionwas3,87.Average score overall validation of learning media based on Visual Basic 6.0 show that this media is valid and can be use in learning process.Key Words: Learning Media, Visual Basic 6.0, Rate of Reaction

Abstract

Abstract: The issue in this research is about the result of long jump squat style in 2 A Coaching Students University of Riau, that was still lacking. It can be seen while doing lecture athletic exercise in squat style long jump, there are many mistakes from the students such as lack in making a satisfying jump, which their jump length average is below 3 meters. Writer assumes it was because the prefilx rejected (sprint) not optimal so leap is not optimal, mean while he target of long jump length to be achieved is 4 meters. This research is an experimental research. The population in this research is 2A coaching students, University of Riau, and the sample in this research is all people in the population which are 8 people in total. The data collection technique is from pretest and posttest. The instrument that was used in this research is long jump, which aims to measure the results of long jump squat style . The independent variable is the command method (long jump start up technique) (X), the dependent variable is the result of long jump squat style (Y). After that, the data is processed statistically, to test the normality with Liliefors test at significance level 0,05α. The hypothesis is there is influence of the command method (long jump start up technique) on the results of long jump squat style. Based on the result of t test analysis , T result is 37,15 and T table is 18.12, it means T result > T table . It can be concluded that H a is accepted, it concludes that there is a significant effect on the command method (long jump start up technique) on the results of squat style long jump in 2A coaching students University of Riau.Key words: Command Method (Long Jump Start Up Technique), Long Jump Result,Squat Style Long Jump

Abstract

Abstract : This correlation research is aimed to find out the correlation of the students motivation with reading comprehension of the second year students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The research data were collected from July to August 2016. The subject of this research was class XI IPA 3, which consist of 30 students. The data were collected by giving a test to the students in the form of multiple choice test and questionnaire about motivation. The result of the research showed that the second year students of Man 1 Pekanbaru got mediocre level with the mean score of 49,67 in reading comprehension and enough category (67,8) in the students questionnaire of motivation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the correlation of the second year students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru in motivation and reading comprehension is high with rxy is 0,72.Key Words: Correlation, Motivation, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstrak: Melayu weaving is one of the cultural products of the Melayu community in Riau. One of the famous Melayu weaving in Riau is the Melayu Siak weaving. In Pekanbaru city there are several handicraft industries of Melayu Siak woven, one of them is woven Melayu Wan Fitri handicraft industry. The purpose of this study is to (1) Know the background of the founding of Malay Woven Weaving industry Wan Fitri. (2) Knowing the development of Wan Fitri Malay Woven industry in 1969-2017. (3) Knowing the driving factors affecting the development of Wan Fitri Woven industry. (4) To know the constraints experienced in developing Wan Fitri Weaving industry. (5) Knowing how to face obstacles in developing Wan Wan Woven industry. The research method that writer use is qualitative method and by using data collecting technique like library study, observation, interview and documentation. Malay Woven Handicraft Industry Wan Fitri Pekanbaru is a weaving business owned by Mursidah founded in 1969. Wan Fitri Malay weaving business is experiencing development, this can be seen from the type of looms, labor and products produced. The tool used is gedogan loom and non-machine loom (ATBM). At the beginning of the business Murisidah did not have manpower, but now there are 42 workers. The main product types produced are woven fabrics, other than that there are other products such as wedding dress, clothes and embroidered embroidery.Keyword: History, Development, Siak Malay Weaving, Wan Fitri Weaving.
