Abstract

Abstract: The aimof this research is to know the smoking behavior and the ripeness students emotional who smoking in SMAN 7. The method of this research is descriptive qualitatif methods. The isntrument of this research is there are 2 items of open ended questionnaire, 30 items of closedended question naire for smoking, and 17 items for the emotional ripeness. The data technique analyzing is counting the question naire score that got from student by using likert scale. In this result, the smoking behavior influenced by society, where the student shave the place for hang out and meet each other, And when students smoking in school, also the student who smoking, they almost impolite and uno bedience with their parents when they are wishes unfulfilled.Keywords: Smoking behavior, students emotional ripeness

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the mathematics learning results of the students by applying Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is the students of class  SMPN 8 Pekanbaru at the second semester of  2017/2018 academic year which total number of participants are 38 students, consists of 19 male students and 19 female students with heterogeneous ability. This research has two cycles. Each cycle has 3 meetings and 1 quiz. The data collecting instruments was observation sheet (learning process) and the students' worksheet. The data were analized by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive analysis. The data were obtained from the observation sheets of teacher and students activities, it showed  that the learning process has improved after the model being implemented. From the data of the student’s evaluation test, it showed that the number of students who reach the Minimal Standard of Achievement  increased from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. Each score increase 18,4 % where 23,7% to 42, 1% and 42,1 % to 60,5%. In conclusion, the implementation of discovery learning model can improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning result of the students of grade  SMPN 8 Pekanbaru at the second semester of  2017/2018 academic years  on probability materials.  Key Words: The Mathematics Learning Result, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The problem with extracurricular students at MAN 1 Muara Fajar is the lack of speed when running 100 yards. This study aims to determine how much influence the interval training on running speed on students of athletic extracurricular MAN 1 Muara Fajar. This research is experimental research. The population in this study were extracurricular students, the sample in this study amounted to 8 people. The technique of collecting data through a 100 yard run test was conducted before and after conducting interval training. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is the effect of interval training on running speed on students of athletic extracurricular MAN 1 Muara Fajar. The results of the t-test results in a tcount of 1.69 and t table of 1.895 with an error rate of 0.05 (5%). Means tcount < ttable. This gives a conclusion that there is no significant effect of interval training on running speed in extracurricular students at MAN 1 Muara Fajar. It can be concluded that Ha is rejected.Keywords: Interval Training, Running Speed

Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research is aimed to find out the ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Pangkalan Kuras in reading descriptive texts. The research data were collected in July 2018. The sample of this research is class VIII H which consists of 33 students. The data were collected by administering a test to the students in the form of multiple choice types. The test contains 25 items. Based on the data analysis, it was found out that the highest score obtained by the students was in comprehending main ideas with the mean score of 79,39 which is categorized into good level. The lowest score was in comprehending factual information with the mean score of 72,72 which is categorized into good level. As a conclusion the ability of the second year students in reading descriptive texts was in good level with the mean score of 75,51.Keywords: The Ability, Reading Ability, Descriptive Texts

Abstract

Abstract : The research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of science students in grade VB SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru on subjects IPA. We can be seen from the KKM set by the school which is 75, from 36 students who reached KKM were 20 people (55,55%) and those who did not reach KKM were is 16 people (44,44%) with a class average is 70,69. The research aims to increase student achievement learning on the subject of IPA in class VB students of SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru. The research is a kind of classroom action research. Data collection techniques is learning outcomes test and observation sheets. The test is used to collect student learning outcomes data, while the observation sheet is used to collect data on student and teacher activities. Learning outcomes before being given an action are indicated by a percentage of completeness of 55,55%. Learning outcomes after being given action in the first cyle experienced an increase 72,22% and an increase in the second cyle was 88,88%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of the models problem based learning (pbm) can improve student achievement learning on the subject of IPA in class VB SD Negeri 29 Pekanbaru.Keyword : Problem Based Learning model, Study result of IPA

Abstract

Abstract : This research is aimed at finding out the effect of using English Spelling Bee game to enrich the vocabulary of the second year students of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru in academic year 2018/2019. The data were collected from July up to August 2018. The population of this research is the second year students of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru. The number of sample is 30 students selected by using cluster random sampling technique. This research is a pre experimental research with one group pre-test post-test design. The instruments to collect the data were multiple choice test with 20 questions and matching word test with 10 questions. The result of the data analysis showed that the mean score of pre-test is 31.413 while in post-test is 48.063. It shows that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test. Hence, there is a significant effect of using English Spelling Bee game to enrich students’ vocabulary. In other words, the alternative hypothesis of this research, “There is any significant effect of using English Spelling Bee game to enrich the vocabulary of the second year students of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru'' is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. It can be inferred that teaching vocabulary by using English Spelling Bee game as one of the alternative strategies has an effect on the students’ vocabulary learning.Keywords: English Spelling Bee game, Vocabulary

Abstract

Abstract: Research it’s done to know the quality of the final semester exam made by the science teacher of junior high school all sub-districts Tambang regency Kampar lesson year 2017/2018. This research was implemented in June-November 2018 in the Study of Biology University of Riau. Research uses a survey method with type cross sectional design. The sample is selected of purposive sampling that consists of the even semester exam and the answer sheet of class students VII in Junior High School of 2 Tambang, Junior High School of 4 Tambang and Junior High School of 5 Tambang. The parameters in this research are a quantitative analysis consisting of the difficulty level, the power of the criterion, the function of distraktor, validity and reliability. Based on the result of quantitative analysis by using anatest version 4.10 shows that 38 questions received without repair (31,66%), 81 questions need repair (67,5%) and 1 questions being replaced (0,83%). Abstract

Abstract: The formulation of the problem in this study is "How is the learning process of children with special needs package B in Pekanbaru City PKBM Creation". This research uses a descriptive case study research model with a qualitative approach which aims to find out how the learning process of children with special needs package B in PKBM Bina Kreasi Kota Pekanbaru. This study consists of one variable, namely evaluation with indicators, namely (1) Component input, (2) Product components (3) Components of results. the subject of this study were 3 informants. The technique of collecting data is by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. Based on observations, the researchers found data that the learning process of children with special needs package B in Pekanbaru's PKBM Bina Kreasi Kota was good but from the use of learning media and learning strategies for each child it needed to be explained because each child is different so the strategy must be different.Key Words: Characteristics, Learning Process, Children with Special Needs

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the level feasibility of biology learning book according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) and level scientific literacy of biology learning book for 11th grade based on four dimensions, namely science as the body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigation and science and its interaction with technology and society. This study uses a quantitative approach with the content analysis method. The sample in this study is the Biology Learning Book for 11th grade by Irnaningtyas and Yossa Istiadi revised in 2016 curriculum 2013 which was selected by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained from the results of book feasibility and the level of scientific literacy by using book feasibility instruments according to the BSNP and a sheet of scientific literacy level analysis based on 4 dimensions. Stages of analysis are divided into 2 stages, namely the stage of book feasibility analysis and analysis of the level scientific literacy of biology learning book. Data analysis using descriptive statistical methods. The results of data analysis show that the level of feasibility in the analyzed learning book has been declared feasible according to BSNP. At the level of scientific literacy, only the scientific dimension as a body of knowledge gets a good category. These results can then be used as material in the development of learning books based on the content of 4 dimensions of balanced scientific literacy. Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is that the strength of service still lacking, it is seen from various test and official match and this is one factor causing the defeat. This type of research is a type of experimental research to see the effect of the form of exercise. The population in this study is the team tri wijaya diesel pekanbaru, amounting to 12 people. Sampling technique is by using total sampling, where the total population is sampled. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of training standing barbell triceps extension against the strength of arm and shoulder muscle on volley ball game team putra of tri wijaya diesel pekanbaru. The data retrieval technique is obtained from pre-test and post test. Instrument in this research use test expanding dynamometer to measure the muscle of arm and shoulder strength skill to service. The analysis was performed using the t-test. Based on data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of training standing barbell triceps extension against the the strength of arm and shoulder muscle on volley ball game of team putra of tri wijaya diesel pekanbaru proven with Thitung of 9.3 and Ttabel 1.782. Means Thitung> Tables. At É‘ = 0,05 level.Keywords: training standing barbell triceps extension, muscle of arm and shoulder strength
