<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of self control techniques on online game addiction behavior of students of Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah II Vocational School. This type of research is a quantitative research with Pre-Experiment method. The research design used in this study is "One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design". The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of measurement of Online Game addiction behavior which consists of 50 items before being validated, and after the validity is obtained valid items amounting to 30 items with validity of 0,250 and reliability of 0.747. Determination of the subject using purposive sumpling technique, and getting 7 subjects from the Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru Vocational High School who were identified as having a high level of online game addiction behavior. The data analysis technique used was a non-parametric statistical technique using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study proved that the research hypothesis was accepted. For this reason, it can be concluded that there are differences in the scores of students' online game addiction behavior before and after being given treatment in the form of self control techniques. From the Rank Spream Test results obtained r = 0.782 while the correlation coefficient r2 is 0.612. Thus there is the effect of the Self Control technique on the online game addiction behavior of 0.61.2% students at the Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School in Pekanbaru.Key Words: Self Control, Online Game Addiction Behavior for Vocational Students.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This descriptive research is aimed at finding out the ability of the second year students of SMP 40 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. The research data were collected from March 15th to October 25th 2018. The subject of this research is class II.3 which consists of 30 students. The data were collected by administering a test to the students in the form of multiple choice type. The test consists of 30 items. Based on the research, it was found out that first: the ability of the second year students in reading comprehension is classified into good level with the mean score of 77.4. Second, the students’ mean score in finding main ideas was classified into good level with the mean score of 78.4, finding the factual information was classified into excellent level with the mean score of 87.5, in finding the meaning of vocabulary was classified into good level with the mean score of 79 , in finding references was classified into good level with the mean score of 74, in finding inferences was classified into good level with the mean score of 68. As a conclusion, the ability of the second year students of SMP 40 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts fall into average to good level with mean score 77.4. It is recommmended that the students must do more practice and read books to improve reading skills. Next, the teacher should have more effort to develop the students’ motivation and encourage them to practice in comprehending the text.Key Words: Reading Ability, Comprehending Descriptive Texts.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This research aims to know the influence of taxation knowledge and quality of service tax on the motivation of individual taxpayers in fulfilling the tax obligations in KPP Pratama Pekanbaru Tampan. The population in this study is the entire taxpayer of the private person registered in KPP Pratama Pekanbaru Tampan ie as many as 169,059 persons taxpayers personally and on this research the sampling used is non probability sampling With incidental sampling techniques. To determine the size or number of samples from the population use the formula Slovin with an error rate of 10%. According to the formula Slovin with an error rate of 10%, if the population in this study amounted to 169,059, then the sample amounted to 100 individual taxpayers. Data is collected using questionnaires on taxation knowledge, quality of tax services, and the motivation of taxpayers distributed to respondents. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression test data analysis. The results concluded that the knowledge of taxation and the quality of tax service has significant effect on the motivation of individual taxpayers in KPP Pratama Pekanbaru Tampan. It is hoped that KPP Pratama Pekanbaru Tampan can consider the quality aspects of tax services and other aspects that are not researched in this to increase the motivation of taxpayers in fulfilling the tax obligations. In the event of an increase in taxpayer motivation, this will have a good impact on increasing the tax revenues that will impact the increase in regional and state revenues.Key Words: knowledge of taxation, quality of service tax, and motivation for taxpayers.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: Based on observations on the Riau pplp soccer athlete, the researchers saw a number of problems, namely the low ability of athletes to place kicks if they had played over 30 minutes. Besides that, the kick strength they showed was still weak when it was over 30 minutes. Athletes very often make mistakes when playing long enough. Opportunities in the author's view were lost due to the condition of endurance and explosive weak leg muscles. Kick placement is needed but must also be followed by endurance and explosive ability of leg muscles so that the resulting kick can be right on target and fast. From the results of this study, it is known that there is a relationship between leg muscle power and accuracy of soccer game shooting in the PPLP Dispora Riau team, where the value of the calculation is 0.629. From the table of r values obtained rtable value at df = 18 with a significant level (α) 0.05 = 0.444. This means that the value of r count is 0.629> r table (0.444). The results of the correlation calculation obtained a calculated value of 0.496. From the table of r values obtained rtable value at df = 18 with a significant level (α) 0.05 = 0.444. <![CDATA[Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine differences in accounting learning outcomes using cooperative learning model by the type of teams game and tournament which assisted by monopoly media and Talking Stick type. This is an experimental research. The population of this research was all 10th grade students of accounting of SMKN 1 Tebing Tinggi Meranti Islands Regency. The 10th grade of accounting 1 and accounting 3 were chosen as the sample in this research. The data of this research were gained by observation and test technique. The hypothesis was tested by using t-test formula. Based on the calculation of the different test, it can be seen that the accounting learning results using the TGT learning model assisted by monopoly media with an average value of 83.13 is greater than the accounting learning results using the model talking stick while for classes using the Talking Stick learning model with an average value of 76.83, the difference is close to significant. Based on the results of the n-gain test, the TGT learning model assisted by monopoly media showed a value of 0.57 while the Talking Stick learning model was worth 0.14. It was concluded that the cooperative TGT learning model assisted by monopoly media had a higher influence on accounting learning outcomes than the Talking Stick learning model.Key Words: TGT, Talking Stick, Learning Achievement]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This research is done to find out if there is any effect of Scissor jumps training on leg muscle power Pencak Silat sport female Pencak Silat Tangan Mas Pekanbaru. So that at the time of the championships the female athletes of Tangan Mas still has a shortage of Power in kicks. Kicks done by the female athletes of Tangan Mas can still be easily avoided and foiled by opponents. This is due to legs muscle Power on the female athletes pencak Silat Tangan Mas Pekanbaru is still lacking. This form of research is research with experimental treatment (experimental), With a population of the female athletes of Pencak Silat tangan mas Pekanbaru, The data in this research is the whole active female athlete of Pencak Silat tangan mas that amounted to 6 people. The instrumen performed in this research is by using Vertical Jump Test which aims to measure the Power of legs muscle. Afterward, the data is processed with statistics, to test the normality with the lilliefors test at a significant level of ∝ 0.05. Hypothesis proposed is the effect of Scissor jumps training on leg muscle power in Pencak Silat sport female pencak silat Tangan Mas Pekanbaru. Based on test analysis t produces Tcount of 11,111 and Ttable 2.015 which means Tcount > Ttable. Based on the analysis of statistical data, there is an average Pre-Test 28,33 and the average post-test of 32,33, then the data is normal. Thus, it can be concluded that there is the effect of scissor jumps training on leg muscle power in pencak Silat sport female pencak silat TanganMas Pekanbaru.Key Words: Scissor Jump, Leg Muscle Power]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The research was aimed to find out wheteher there is an effect of concept mapping strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru in writing explanation text. In conducting the research, pre- experimental research with one group pre-test post- test design was used. The sample of this research was the students of class XI IPA II which consist of 22 students. The pre- test was administered before the treatment. After the treatment was applied for five meetings using concept mapping strategy, the post test was administered. The data were analyzed using t-test formula. From the calculation, the writer found that the value of t-test was 22.363 while the t-table was 2.079. Since the t-test was larger than t-table, alternative hypothesis of this research was accepted and null hypothesis was rejected. It means that there was a significant effect of concept mapping strategy of the ability of the second year students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru in writing explanation text.Key Words: Writing,Writing Ability, Concept Mapping Strategy, Explanation Text.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: Pra survey in TK / PAUD in Kampar Utara Subdistrict, Kampar Regency indicate to have symptoms: (1) teachers who lack preparation in teaching. (2) the existence of teachers who have low morale. (3) lack of work commitment of teachers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as teachers. (4) the lack of compensation or wages they receive. This study aims To find out the relationship between teacher perceptions of the profession and the commitment of TK / PAUD teacher work in Kampar Utara District, Kampar District. This type of research is quantitative a correlation research approach.The population in this study used was 70 teachers. While the samples used for the trial were 20 teachers, the samples set in this study were 50 people. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire that contains a statement that will be filled by the teacher. The analysis technique data using the product moment correlation formula.The results of this study state that the teacher's work commitment in the high category is 56%, and the moderate category is 44%. The teacher's perception of the profession shows that in the very high category there were 32%, in the high category there were 54%, and the moderate category were 14%. The relationship between teacher perceptions of the profession and the commitment of the work of kindergarten / early childhood teachers in Kampar Utara District, Kampar Regency has a significant relationship. Based on the significance level X and Y smaller than α = 0.05. So variables X and Y have significant correlations. It can be reinforced, the correlation coefficient is 0.476 with a significance of 0.000 in the medium category. Key Words: Perception Profession, Work Commitment]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: This study is entitled the ability to read exposition text of class VIII students of Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23. This study aims to find out and describe the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Middle School 23, to find out whether there is a difference in the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru between classes. This type of research is descriptive-quantitative. The population of this study amounted to 120 people and sample 116. The data of this study were the results of student test answers in working on the test of the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23. The test used is an objective test consisting of four alternative answers. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive method through t-test to analyze the level of ability to read the exposition text of class VIII Pekanbaru State Junior High School 23, a one-way ANOVA test to determine the difference in the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru between classes. The results of this study were in the form of a test of the ability to read the exposition text of class VIII student SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, which was classified as high with a score of 83%.Key Words: Ability, Reading, Exposition]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: the purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of Number Head Together Method (NHT) to improve student’s reading comprehension skill in dokkai 3 course. This study is a weak experimental research with one group pretest posttest design. The object of this research was 22 students class A of 2016/2017 of Japanese study program faculty of teachers training and education at the university of Riau. The sampling technique that used was purposive sampling technique. The type of data collection technique in this research was giving a test. The test consisted two type of tests, namely pretest and posttest. Pretest and posttest was conducted by giving the student a reading comprehension test. The result of pretest and posttest was processed by SPPS of software 23 IBM version For windows. Based on the analysis, the student’s pretest average score was 82. It means there was an increase of student’s pretest result to result. Thus, it can be concluded that number head together (NHT) method is effective to improve student’s reading comprehension ability in Dokkai 3 course of Japanese study program faculty of teachers training and education at the university of Riau.Key Words: Dokkai, Number Head Together (NHT), Reading Comprehension.]]>
