Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research was aimed to find out the ability of the second year students of MTs Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. The research data were collected in August 2016. The subject of this research was class VIII-2 which consisted of 31 students. The data were collected by giving a test to the students in the form of multiple choice test. The test contained 25 items. Based on the research, it was found out that first: the ability of the second year students in reading comprehension is in the mediocre level with the mean score of 57.38. Second, the students’ mean score in finding the main idea is in good level with the mean score of 78.70, finding the factual information is in good level with the mean score of 65.80, in finding the meaning of vocabulary is in poor level with the mean score of 39.35, in finding references is in mediocre level with the mean score of 44.51, in finding inference is in mediocre level with the mean score of 56.12, in finding generic structure is in mediocre level with the mean score of 60, in finding language features is in mediocre level with the mean score of 60.64. As a conclusion, the highest score obtained by the students is in finding main ideas with the mean score of 78.70 which is categorized into good level, and the lowest score that the students got is in finding the meaning of vocabulary ,with the mean score of 39.35 which is categorized into poor level.Key Words: Study, Ability, Comprehending, Descriptive Texts

Abstract

Abstract: This experimental study is aimed at finding out whether the use of jigsaw strategy is effective to improve students’ reading comprehension. This research was conducted at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru from September 27, 2017 to November 01, 2017. Cluster Sampling technique was used to choose 40 students as the participants. Data used in this research were the data about students’ reading comprehension. Therefore, Reading Comprehension Test was used as the instrument. Then, the data were analyzed by using SPSS 23.0 for windows. The result of the research showed that there was a significant effect of jigsaw strategy on the students’ reading comprehension. The mean score of the students before the treatment was 61.87, While the mean score of the students after the treatment was 80.77. Moreover, from the statistical analysis, it was found that the t-test score (22.5) was higher than t-table (2.03). Based on these findings, it is suggested that Jigsaw strategy can be used as an alternative strategy in the teaching of reading.Keywords: Jigsaw Strategy, Descriptive Text, Experimental Research

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase listening skills in children aged 5-6 years through storytelling with puppets media paper in kindergarten Kasih Ibu District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar regency. This study is kind studies using action research or (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action planning, observation / evaluation and reflection. Subject empirically n are children in group B who are 20 children in kindergarten Kasih Ibu. The research data obtained through observation and data analysis was done by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research shows that the method of storytelling with puppets media paper can improve listening skills in children ages 5 -6 years. It can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of listening skills of children in the first cycle of 52.4% which is the criteria began to develop (MB) and an increase of 50% in the second cycle be 77.5% which is very good at developing criteria (BSB). Thus, the method bercereita using paper puppets media can improve listening skills of children ages 5 -6 years in kindergarten Kasih Ibu District XIII Koto Kampar Kampar regency.Keywords : Listening ability, Method Media Storytelling with Puppets Paper

Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research aimed to find out the ability of the first grade students of SMAN 1 Simpang Kanan Rokan Hilir in Reading Comprehension. The population of the research is the first grade students of SMAN 1 Simpang Kanan and the sample is 32 students. The instrument used in this research is a reading test. This reading test consisted of 35 questions . Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the ability of the first grade students of SMAN 1 Simpang Kanan Rokan Hilir in reading comprehension is in good level with mean score is 63.14. Further, the result shows that there are 2 students who are in excellent level, 18 students are in good level, 8 students are in average level, and 4 students are in poor level.Key Words: Students’ Ability, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out how self-esteem among beach vendors in the circle of FKIP Riau University. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects in this study were 4 people: techniques for collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using Triangulation. The results of the research are how individuals trust the actions of beach vendors, namely the beach vendors are certain of the actions taken. Know the risks of decisions taken and influence the skills of beach vendors and improve the family economy. ownership of beach vendors and improvement of the family economy. While individuals are confident that they are accepted by beach vendors at other beach vendors because of the way the street vendors mix with other beach vendors. Moreover, they believe in themselves and already have the calm attitude of beach vendors in their abilities.Key Words: Trust, beach vendors

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the application of post box games geometry to improve the ability to know the geometry of children aged 3-4 years, know how to improve the ability to know the geometry of children aged 3-4 years through a post office box games geometry. The research was conducted in the second semester of 2015/2016 academic year in April-May 2016 in KB Tunas Bangsa Tapung District of Kampar regency. This type of research is on classroom action research. The subject of this research consisted of 16 children, consisting of 6 girls and 10 boys with children ages 3-4 years. Based on the results of this research note that, (1) The application of post box games geometry can improve the ability to know the geometry of children aged 3-4 years (2) How to improve the ability to know the geometry of children aged 3-4 years that is by using action research in two cycle, as in the first cycle there are three meetings so overall game geometry applied postbox 6 meetings. Based on research that has been carried out it turned out action research to improve the ability of children aged 3-4 years in the familiar form of geometry through the game mailbox by obtaining the results of the pre cycle to cycle I is 24.47%, the first cycle to the second cycle of 51.86% and from the pre cycle to cycle II of 89.03%.

Abstract

Abstract : The background of this research is the process of learning and teaching classes IV SDN 009 Jojol Kecamatan Kubu Babussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir on subjects IPA which is still dominated by the teacher so that students become passive, as well as material provided by the teacher and the learning outcomes are not satisfactory with an average value below the KKM. This study aims to determine there or not the effect of cooperative learning model TSTS both individually and classical toward student learning outcomes IV on the subject IPA SD N 009 Jojol Kecamatan Kubu Babussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This study was conducted on 20 students. Data were collected through observation using observation sheet fot the data type of cooperative learning model two stay two stray (TSTS) through UAS I and UAS II for learning outcomes data, the results of the students increased in the first cycle compared to prior to the action or before PTK, as for the improvement of learning outcomes that occurred from before held PTK and after the cycle I an increase of 20%, in cycle I the students who completed as many as 12 people with 60% completeness. While on cycle II an increase of 35% with the thoroughness of the students were 19 people with a completeness of 95%. So there is difference between the increase in the cycle I and cycle II of 35%. While the activities of the students at the first meeting of the cycle I was 54.16%. The second meeting was 70.83%, for the second meeting was 95,83%. So between the cycle I and cycle II an increase of 25%. From the research and discussion as it has been described above that with use of cooperative learning model TSTS coorectly then the activity and student learning outcomes be improved and better.Key words : cooperative learning model two stay two stray (TSTS), IPA learning outcomes

Abstract: the problem in this research starts from the observation that the author found in the field is. the researchers encountered deficiencies at the time of the throw is still lack of explosive muscle power shoulder sleeve at the time slinging resulting in less roll maximum results. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of explosive power shoulder arm muscles with the precision throw up in the game of softball team phonix's son. Sampling in research is thorough, or include the entire population research. Researchers take a sampling technique focuses on the technique of total sampling. To obtain research data used Two test – Hand medicine Ball Put for explosive power shoulder arm muscles, overhand accuracy accuracy tests for trow throws up games softball. the data obtained were analyzed with correlation product moment simple. Based on the analysis of data obtained correlation with Y of X 1 rcount = ˃ rtable = 0.66 0,602 and X 2 with Y of rcount = ˃ rtable = 0.66 0,602 while the X 1 and X 2 with Y rcount = ˃ rtable = 0.66 0,602. Because the whole relationship is indicated on the data analysis is significant, then the Ha thus received and Ho is rejected. Abstract

ABSTRACT, Background problem in this research is the low throwing results of the students of SMAN 2 Ujung Tanjung. Of KKM targeted not all students are able to achieve. This problem can be seen from the observation of researcher during school learning, it is suspected because of the arm-shoulder muscle strength and back flexibility owned by students. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the corelation between strength arm-shoulder muscles and back flexibility with disc throw results students class XI SMAN 2 Ujung Tanjung. This type of research is correlational comparing the measurement results of two different variables in order to determine the degree of correlation between these variables. As independent variables (X1) is a trength arm-shoulder muscles, (X2) back flexibility, while the dependent variable (Y) is the disc throw results. The research data was obtained from the measurement results using flexiometer, expanding dynamometer test and discus throwing. The sample in this study were male students of SMAN 2 Ujung Tanjung who totaled 35 people (total sampling). Based on the research results can be concluded as follows: From the results obtained strength of arm shoulders muscles have a corelation with the results of discus throwing at SMA Negeri 2 Ujung Tanjung Tanah Putih, where rhitung (0375)> rtabel (0.334) at α = 0 05. From the results obtained flexibility of the waist have a corelation with the discus throwing results at SMA Negeri 2 Ujung Tanjung Tanah Putih, where rhitung (0384)> rtabel (0.334) at α = 0.05. An corelation was jointly between strength shoulder arms muscle and back flexibility with discus throwing results of at SMA Negeri 2 Ujung Tanjung Tanah Putih, where rhtung (0485)> rtabel (0.334) at α = 0.05.Keywords : Strength Arm- Shoulder Mucles, Disc Throwing

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to increase learning process and students’ mathachievement at class VIII6 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru through the implentation realisticmathematics education approach in cooperative learning model of STAD. The subjectwere 40 students from class VIII6 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru consist of 17 male and 32female students with the heterogeneus level. This study used classroom action researchThe instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and studentsMathematic tests. The data which collected were analyzed with descriptive analyzedstatistically. From analyzed of teacher and students activity in the learning processshowed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and secondcycle. The result of this research showed an increasing number of students’ mathachievement from the basic score 37.5% to 50% on the first daily test and 62.5% on thesecond daily test. Based on the result of this research can be concluded that theimplentation realistic mathematics education approach in cooperative learning modelof STAD can improve students’ math achievemsent at class VIII6 SMPN 20 Pekanbaruin the second semester academic years 2013/2014.Key Word : Students’ Math Achievement, Realistic Mathematics Education, CooperativeLearning Model of STAD, Classroom Action Research.
