Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to understand the internal factors affecting aggressiveness, description of external factors affecting aggressiveness, per-item description of internal factors affecting aggressiveness, and per-item description of external factors affecting aggressiveness. Method in this research is descriptive quantitative method with sample of student of class VII as many as 200 people from population as much as 384. The research conducted in September. Data and research instruments were obtained through questionnaires that were processed using statistical formula. Based on the recapitulation of the scores that have been processed, the results obtained: internal factors affecting student aggressiveness seen almost half are in very low category of 49%, sedamgkan external factors that affect student aggressiveness seen more than half are in very low category that is 58 %. Internal factor which more dominant influence student aggressiveness is on indicator "feel sick hit by friend, whereas at more dominant external factor influence student aggressiveness is indicator" will not remain silent if made mock object ". Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of Reciprocal Teaching model to improve student activity and learning mastery of solubility and solubility product in class XI MIA 6 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru has been conducted. The student activities that corrected were embrace, ask question, done the exercises and group discussion. The improvement of students learning activities implies an increase in mastery learning students. The subject of this research were 27 students that involved conducted in two cycles of learning. Each cycle consisted of two meetings through four stages, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data of this research was collected by using observation sheet and test. The result showed that student activity was increased and achieved the standard criteria. The student activity at the first cycle was 49,64% and at the second cycle was 63,76% with good criteria. It was found out that there was improvement in students Learning Mastery and the standard criteria was achieved. The first and the second cycle average percentage of learning mastery were 70,37% and 85,18% respectively. Based on the result, was concluded that application of Reciprocal Teaching model can improve student activity and learning mastery.Keyword : Reciprocal Teaching, Student Activities, Learning Mastery Student

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning attitudes and learning motivation on the students learning achievement of Class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kampar Kiri Tengah. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentation to obtain student learning achievement and using questionnaires to obtain data on learning attitudes and learning motivation. The population used in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kampar Kiri Tengah, amounting to 103 people. The entire population is examined (census). The collected data is then tabulated and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 24. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a positive effect on learning attitudes towards learning achievement which is equal to 0.3481 or 34.81 %, there is a positive effect of learning motivation on learning achievement which is equal to 0.8760 or 87.60 %. R Square values obtained is 0.393. This means that student learning outcomes can be influenced by independent variables namely learning attitudes and learning motivation by 39.3%, while the remaining 61.7% is influenced by other variables not examined.Key Words: Learning Attitudes, Learning Motivation, Students Learning Achievement.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at identifying the students’ response to the importance of studying listening comprehension, and finding out problems faced by second year students of English Study Program - FKIP UR in listening comprehension. This study was a descriptive research. The population of this research was the second year students of English study program of FKIP-UR. The sample of this research was selected by using total sampling technique. There were 90 students who participated in this research. The instrument of this research was a set of questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of two sections. Section one contained questions about students’ self-rated English listening proficiency level (1 item), students’ perceptions related to their high school education (4 items), students’ response to the importance of listenig skill (5 items), and students’ ways of practicing listening skill (5 items). Section two consisted questions about listening comprehension problems grouped into seven categories: listening material (6 items), linguistics aspects (6 items), lack of concentration (5 items), psychological characteristics (5 items), listener (5 items), speaker (5 items), and physical setting (3 items). After all data were collected, the average percentage of each questionnaire item was calculated. The research findings showed that 90.22% of students responded that they realized the importance of English listening skill. It was also found that poor quality of equipments, lack of concentration, un-clear pronounciation, speed rate, unfamiliar word and topic, and psychological problem were the major problems of Listening Comprehension faced by second year students of English study program FKIP University of Riau.Key Words: Study, Listening, Comprehension, Problem

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research by low learning outcomes IPS. Causes of low student learning outcomes are caused not exactly learning model used in teaching social studies teacher teaching method is verbal and does not involve students in learning. This research aims to improve IPS learning outcomes in the fifth grade students of SDN 103 Pekanbaru through Jigsaw cooperative learning. The research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015 in SDN 103 Pekanbaru. Design research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. Research procedures conducted in the class action are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class V SDN 103 Pekanbaru. Data and instruments used in the form of learning tools and a data collection instrument, namely the observation sheet and test questions (UH). Data collection techniques using observation techniques and test techniques. The data analyzed in this study data on the observation of teacher activity, student activities, and student learning outcomes data. The results showed after application of jigsaw cooperative learning increased student participation in the classroom. Activities of students and teachers has increased every meeting, in accordance with the lesson plan that has been designed. Resulting in increased student learning outcomes in social studies class V SD Negeri 103 Pekanbaru. In the first cycle obtained 20.25% increase in learning outcomes and the second cycle 31,50%. Based on these results, we can conclude the application of jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning.Keywords: Jigsaw Cooperative Learning , IPS Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: Public perception is very important in the sustainability of a leadership, so that leaders can assess what must be done in carrying out their leadership. Students referred to as intellectuals are considered critical of the political conditions in Indonesia, of course, having a deep perception of the two pairs of presidential candidates at this time, bearing in mind that both pairs of candidates have different character and background that will hold the highest authority in the country. This research is structured with the formulation of the problem "What is the perception of the University of Riau students towards the leadership of the presidential candidate for the republic of Indonesia in 2019-2024?" This study aims to determine the perception of Riau University students towards the leadership of the Republic of Indonesia presidential candidates in the 2019-2024 period. sampling from the whole population was taken using purposive sampling technique. The population in this study was 31,478 people. The sample in this study was taken by purposive sampling technique with a total of 150 people from all students. Data in this study were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, then the data obtained were analyzed by quantitative descriptive techniques or a combination method (mix methoad). This method is done by collecting data and analyzing qualitative descriptive data at a later stage in order to strengthen the results of the research conducted. The results showed that the perception of students of the University of Riau on the leadership of the Republic of Indonesia presidential candidates in the 2019-2024 period for presidential candidates number 01 was at the "Good Enough" level, while the number of presidential candidates at 02 was at the "Good" level.Key Words: Perception, Students, Leadership.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe type, structure and function of onomatopeia in Indonesian children’s songs. Type of this study is qualitative study and explain the result study according to descriptive. Results of the analysis showed that in Indonesian children’s songs there are three types of onomatopeia that is (1) type of onomatopeia that imitate the sound of the object, (2) type of onomatopeia that imitate the sound of the animal, and (3) type of onomatopeia that imitate the human’s feeling. Structure of onomatopeia in Indonesian children’s songs classification based on syllables that is (1) monosyllables, (2) bisyllables, and (3) multisyllables. Function of onomatopeia in Indonesian children’s songs there are three function that is (1) function of onomatopeia showed that imitate the sound of the object, (2) function of onomatopeia showed that imitate the sound of the animal, and (3) function of onomatopeia to give effect for listener songs.Keyword: children’s songs, onomatopeia

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is low the students’ IPS score learning of V grade SDN 187 Pekanbaru, with an average score of daily tests is 63,38 and it is is under the standard of KKM that defined by school had score 75. To overcome that problem, one of the learning models that can increase the IPS score is problem based learning model. The subject in this research is students of V grade SDN 187 Pekanbaru that totally 40 students. The formulation of the problem in this research: What does the implementation of problem based learning model can increase the students’ IPS score learning of V grade SDN 187 Pekanbaru? The type of this research is classroom action research used 2 cycles. This research held on March until April 2018. The result of this research presents the teacher’s activity in learning process during implementation problem based learning on the cycle I first meeting 65% and on cyle II second meeting increase became 95%. The students’ activity on cycle I first meeting 55% and on cyle II second increase became 95%. Students’ score learning increased, there is average of daily test on based score before implementation of problem based learning model is 63,38, and then on cycle I average the students’ score is 75,38 with percentage 18,93%. Then on cyle II increasing again became 81,25 with percentage 28,19% from based score. The mastery of student learning score on cyle I is 27(67,50%) students that pass. On cycle II there is 35(87,50%) students that pass. Based on this research result it can be concluded that implementation of problem based learning model can increase the students’ IPS score learning of V grade SDN 187 Pekanbaru.Keywords : Problem Based Learning Model, IPS, V grade SDN 187 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is by the limited availability of mathematics learning instrument based curicullum 2013 by teachers. This research purpose is produce to mathematics learning instrument (Lesson Plan and Student Worksheet) which refers to Discovery Learning model on matter of build trigonometri for SMA/MA with minimum valid and practical criteria. This reserch method used is ADDIE model by Dick & Carry, that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation, but the reserch only done to implementation step due to time and cost constraints. In this research, a limited trial was conducted on 17 students of high school class XI.. Based on the results, data analysis can be concluded that the study of mathematics is very valid to the average ratings for the lesson plan is 3.71 and the average ratings for the student worksheet is 3.52. The student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification in mean percentage of student responses 94,58% in limited group trial with very practical criteria. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the product in the form of RPP and LKS mathematics with discovery learning model on Trigonometry material for SMA / MA is considered very valid and practical.Keywords: Discovery Learning model, Lesson Plan, Students worksheet, Trigonometry

Abstract

Abstract: The background of the research in SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Medang is due to the low learning result of the students' mathematics, from 25 students only 12 students who got the above KKM score of 65 the rest got the value far below KKM. The purpose of the implementation of this research are: to improve the learning outcomes of students of grade V SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Medang by applying interactive learning strategies. The type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Subjects in this study are all students of class V as many as 25 students. Technique used is test and observation. Student learning result data obtained through objective test that is double choice. Observation techniques for measuring teacher and student activity. Research instruments consist of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets and observation sheets. This study consists of 2 cycles where each cycle is done with 2 times face-to-face meeting and daily test. Based on observer observer activity of teacher in cycle I meeting 1 get value 71,88 and increase 75 at meeting 2. In cycle II of meeting 1 get value 84,38 and increase become 90,63 at meeting 2. Student activity at cycle 1 meeting 1 obtain value 64.29 and an increase of 67.86 at the meeting 2. In cycle II of meeting 1 got the value of 75 and increased to 82.14 at meeting 2. While student learning outcomes from the initial score of 65.20 increased to 69.60 at the 1st meeting with an increase value of 6.75. At meeting 2 got a value of 75.80 with an increase value of 16.26. This proves that the interactive learning strategy can improve the learning outcomes of students of grade V SD Negeri 2 Tanjung Medang.Keywords: interactive learning strategy, mathematics learning outcomes.
