Abstract

Abstract: This research purposed is to know the effect of the use of letter gloves on the ability to recognize letters of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD As-Shifa Citra Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The sample used in this study were 15 students. Method that use is experiment One Group Pretest –Posttest Design. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Data analysis technique used t-test with SPSS 17.0. According to result of experimental hypothesi there is effect of media use of letter gloves on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4 - 5 years in PAUD As-Shifa Citra Kota Pekanbaru. This can be known from the analysis of data obtained thitung = 10,954 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000. Because Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0,05 it can be concluded that there is a difference in the ability to recognize letters of significant after the use of media use of letter gloves on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4 to 5 years in PAUD As-Shifa Citra Kota Pekanbaru. The effect of media use of letter gloves on the ability to recognize letters of children aged 4 to 5 years in PAUD As-Shifa Citra Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru regency of 56,60%.Keywords: Ability to recognize letters, Media of letter gloves

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the results of observations made, the authors see there are some phenomena that exist in most of the caregivers who are married to treat children with a loving but some are not too concerned with children, caregivers unmarried child does not sterilize milk bottles in the right way, low ability to care for children by a caregiver, caregivers do not understand the dangers of the substances in the landfill available toys such as lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) and chromium (Cr).The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of parenting by caregivers who are married and single, and to find out how much differences parenting abilities are married with single caregivers in daycares Tampan Sub-district Pekanbaru City. The population are 26 people and saturation sampling technique that uses as many as 11 people caregivers who are married and 15 single caregivers. Data collection techniques in this regard because the data in the form of nominal data the method of data collection for the marital status from identity card respondents. As for the method of data collection using observations and interview on parenting ability. The data analysis technique used is the normality test, homogeneity, hypothesis testing and t test. From the research results obtained there is no significant difference between the ability of parenting by married caregivers and single caregivers in Tampan Sub-district Pekanbaru City. It can be viewed from the analysis of data obtained by the value of the results tcount obtained is 1.475 and the value of ttable = 2.064 at significance level [α = 0.05] (df = 24). Therefore it turns tcount <ttable or 1.475> 2.064 then H0 is accepted. So, there is no significant difference parenting abilities based on marital status are carried by caregivers.Keywords: parenting ability , caregiver marital status

Abstract

Abstract: This study is based on the low learning outcomes of IPS students of class V SD Negeri 004 East Bagan Rokan Hilir Regency Year 2016/2017. Initial data received by the researcher, from 20 students who reach the value of KKM only 4 students (20%). This research is a classroom action research conducted collaboratively and participatively in collaboration with class IPS teacher in SD Negeri 004 East Bagan Rokan Hilir Regency. The instrument of this study consists of learning devices used in this study based on Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP). Learning tools consist of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets and observation sheets. The results obtained by teacher activity on the first cycle of meeting I is 58.33 with enough category, the second meeting of the cycle to I is 70.83 with good category. At siklu II meeting 1 is 79,17 with good category and second meeting second cycle is 91,67 with very good category. Then the percentage of first cycle activity of the first student is 54,17 with enough category, at the second meeting of cycle I that is 70,833 with good category. In the second cycle of meeting I is 83.33 with good category, and meeting II is 87,5 with very good category. As for the result of student learning which complete before held action only 4 student (20%) with average value 54,25. In the daily test I cycle I the number of completed students increased to 8 students or (40%) with an average value of 65.75. Furthermore, in II repetition cycle II increased again with the total number of students who complete as many as 18 students or (90%) with an average value of 83.75. The increase that occurred on student learning outcomes between the basic score of one cycle with an average of 21.19 and between the basic score of the second cycle with an average of 54.37Artinya the classical value obtained by students have been above the established KKM.Keywords: Contextual teaching and learning model (CTL), Learning Outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstract : The establishment of an area is always needed in order to achieve good governance and services for people’s welfare in accordance with the ability of each area in the process of development and growth. Every region in the world certainly has its own history both in terms of the process of formation, naming and also the development of the area which is different from other areas so as to make it unique. As well as Pangaribuan Subdistrict in North Tapanuli Regency is an area that formed in the Ducth colonial period. The purpose of this research was to know the history of the formation of Tapanuli district Pangaribuan northern districts, to know the development of Pangaribuan Subdistrict in North Tapanuli Regency since 2005-2015, particulary in education and health, to know the supporting factors and hindering the development of Pangaribuan Subdistrict in North Tapanuli Regency, to know socio-economic circumstances and cultural district community Pangaribuan. The method used is the historical method, where data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. Data analysis was done by descriptive qualitative. The location of the research is Pangaribuan Subdistrict in North Tapanuli Regency. Time of research since proposal seminar up to thesis seminar. The results showed Pangaribuan Subdistricts predominantly inhabited by ethnic Batak Toba , which is unique is this area where there is no resident surnamed Pangaribuan found and the name of the place. This area had been there before foreigners enteneringthis area, after the arrival of foreign nations then began to set in 1906, the region as a subdistrict that is part of the department Onder Afdeeling Silindung which is part of Batak Afdeeling Landen. The development of education and health is sufficient, the main economic sector is agriculture and agricultural potential is still very adequate to be developed. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce high-school physics learning media Newton's legal material about valid motion so it is worthy to be used as a medium for learning physics of high school students. The research method used is research and development with development stage following the ADDIE model. Media developed through three stages in accordance with the development model used. In this study, the media was developed only until at the 3rd stage of the 5 stages of the ADDIE model of analysis, design and devolepment. The research data obtained from the validation of 6 experts as a validator. The validation instrument in adaptation of Nasir 2014 is composed of 4 aspects, namely design aspect, pedagogic aspect, content aspect and technical aspects. Design aspect of 3.85 in the high category, aspect paedagogik equal to 4,0491 in high category, content aspect of 3,92 in high category and technical aspect equal to 3,95 in high category. Overall, each assessment indicator on each aspect is declared valid and in accordance with the development objectives. Based on this matter, it can be concluded that the physics learning media has been valid based on design aspect, pedagogic aspect, content aspect and technical aspect so it is worthy to be used as a source of high school physics on Newton's legal matter about motion. Abstract

Abstract: The use of appropriate learning models in the learning process will support the success of students in the learning process. The use of appropriate learning model that does not cause low ability students in mastering the learning materials. The purpose of this study is to improve students' speaking skills class IV MIS Al-Muhsinin Rimba Melintang in learning Indonesian. This research was conducted at MIS Al-Muhsinin Rimba Melintang. This research is a classroom action research. The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers and students as well as the performance of the test sheet. Furthermore, to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) against their speaking ability trials conducted to 25 students, by means of a speaking test. From the test results obtained by an increase in students' speaking skills reaches 88% with very good category.Key Words: Cooperative type Numbered Heads Together (NHT),Speaking Skills

Abstract

Abstract: One of the problems in schools is the lack of attention from the teacher to the students' writings. This study aims to determine the ability to use capital letters in the essay description fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. This research is qualitative descriptive. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The data collection techniques using the test write (compose) the direct method. Data analysis techniques to analyze the capitalization of 56 fabricated descriptions of students. The use of capital letters consists of 15 aspects, but researchers only use six aspects, such as capital letters used as the first letter of a sentence initial 63.80% (category enough), a capital letter is used as the name of the 62.08% (category enough), capital letters used the first letter of the name of 44.93% (poor category), capital letters used the first letters themselves geography 28.80% (very poor category), capital letters used the first letters the title essay of 75% (both categories ), and capital letters are used the first letters of the title of 43.19% (poor category). From the data analysis it can be concluded that the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Pekanbaru have not been able to use capital letters in accordance with Enhanced Spelling. The average of result shown 52,98% (poor category). The highest percentage in the aspect of capitalization that is used the first letters of the title essay 75% (both categories) and the lowest percentage of aspects of the use of capital letters is used the first letters themselves geography 28.80% (very poor category).Key Words: Capitalization Capital, Narrative Description

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research used One-Group PretestPosttest design to find out whether or not there is a significant effect of using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Siak Kecil in comprehending recount texts. The sample of the research was 27 students of class VIII-2 and obtained by using cluster random sampling technique. The data collected by giving a pre-test to see the student’s reading ability in comprehending recount texts before the treatment and continued by giving a post-test after the treatment. Then, the results of the tests were compared. The result of the data analysis showed that mean score of the pre-test was 65.22 and the mean score of the post-test was 75.51. In other words, the mean score of the post-test is higher than the pre-test, that is as this as 10.29. The value of t-obs was higher than t-table (12.108 > 2.055) at significant level of 5%. It can be concluded that Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Hence, there was a significant effect of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Siak Kecil in comprehending recount texts. The implication of the findings was that students’ reading ability could be improved through the application of STAD strategy. The strategy could also help students to be confident and active in reading classroom activities.Key Words: Effect, Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) Strategy, Recount Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out the ability of the second year students of SMAN 1 Tualang in writing descriptive texts. In this research, the data was obtained from students’ writing scores. The test is in the form of an essay because the test required the respondents to give the answer in the form of written descriptive text. There are five components of writing: grammar, organizing ideas, vocabulary, fluency / content, and mechanics (Harris : 1974). The writer analyzed the ability of the second year students based on five category: excellent, good, mediocre, poor, and very poor. The participants in this study are 26 students from XI IPA2 of SMAN 1 Tualang. The result of this study described that a number of students faced a problem in mechanics. Grammar is the highest average score. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the ability of the second year students of SMAN 1 Tualang is in good level. Although the students still faced some difficulties in writing descriptive texts.Key words: writing ability, descriptive text

Abstract

Abstract Has conducted research and development of student worksheets (LKPD) based constructivism approach on the contens for digestive system and chemicals in life of  IPA class VIII junior high school. There are five LKPD based constructivist approach developed. This research was conducted at the Laboratory PMIPA of Biology Department of the University of Riau and SMPN 1 Pekanbaru until Desember 2016. This type of research is the development with ADDIE’s model of integration to the stage of development. Instruments of data collection in this study is the assessment sheet/validation LKPD and student questionnaire responses. After LKPD developed, validated by 4 validator and then do the first test at 22 student in the 5th semester of biology education FKIP UR, and thesecond test at 20 students of Class VIII at SMPN 1 Pekanbaru. The result shoowed the average score feasibility aspects of the content of 5 LKPD developed is 3.42 very valid category, the mean score of the designing aspect is 3.32 category of very valid, and the mean score is 3.33 pedagogic aspect is very valid category. The mean overall score of the fifth LKPD is 3.35 very valid category. The results of the questionnaire responses in the firsttest showed a mean score of 91 with very good categories and the results of questionnaires in the secondtest showed a mean score of 91 with very good category. The results of the analysis of the answers of students in LKPD 1 and 4 showed the average value of both 3.27 good categories and 3.35 good categories. It can be concluded that LKPD Based constructivist approach on the contens for digestive system and chemicals in life of  IPA class VIII junior high school as well as fit for use in science teaching in schools could provide insight and knowledge.
