Abstract

Absratct: This research aimed to determine the correlation between the motivation and speaking ability of the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. The sample of this research was all class of the second year students consisted of 37 students. The sample was chosen by using Proportional Sampling Techniques. To collect the data in this research were questionnaire and speaking test. The motivation data was gained by using Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMBT) questionnaire by Gardner and the speaking ability data was gained by monologue test. The results of the study show that there was a correlation between two variables. The value of correlation coefficient was 0.643. It was on scale 0.60 ? 0.799 it meant that the correlation between students? motivation and speaking ability of the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru categorized as high correlation. It is considered that null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation between the motivation and speaking ability of the second year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru. In other words, the students? motivation affects their speaking ability.Key Words: Correlation, Motivation, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: The study aims to determine the practicalities of product resulting from the research design and validation devices fluid dynamic experiment that has been done before. The approach used in this study is research and development (R&D). Data was collected through the practicality questionnaire and observation sheet. Respondents of this research were from student , teacher as an observer while student tested produk. The data of instrument were analyzed usingMs. Excel. The value of the practicalities of the experimenti by students is 3.55 and observer value practicalities of the experiment by teachers is 3.54, while the value of the practicalities of the use of guide books by teachers is 3.51 and the value of the practicalities of the use of guide books by students is 3.38. The results of this research indicate that experimental device given ease in studying dynamic fluid, so the device experimental and guide book also practical used student.Keywords: Practicality, experiment device of dynamic fluid

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to develop a Student Worksheet (SWs) based on the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) Approach on the subject of Chemical Equilibrium. This type of research is research and development (R & D) with ADDIE development models which include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This research was carried out to the Implementation stage in the form of limited trials to teachers and students. This research was conducted at FKIP Riau University, Babussalam Pekanbaru High School and MAN 2 Pekanbaru. The object of this research is the SWs based on the SETS approach. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis, carried out by calculating the score obtained at the time of validation. The assessment of the feasibility aspects of SWs by the validator team in the form of content eligibility, characteristics of the SETS approach, linguistic, presentation, and graphic characteristics respectively scored 93.05%, 95.00%, 91.66%, 95.84%, and 91, 66%. So, overall the average score of the chemical equilibrium SWs based on the SETS approach is 93.44% included in the valid eligibility criteria, meaning that the developed Sws is eligible to be tested on a limited basis whereas the response of teachers and students towards SWs gets a percentage of 94.64% and 84.82% are in good criteria.  Key Words: Student WorkSheet (SWs), SETS Approach, and Chemical Equilibrium

Abstract

Abstract : Module is a unit of planned learning program, designed to help learners achieve learning objectives. The use of the Module will be able to enhance the student's active role in learning. This study aims to produce high school biology learning modules by utilizing the results of studies on the composition of plant species in post-fire peatlands. For this purpose, we have conducted a survey study in Rimba Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February-October 2017. The quadratic method and purposive random sampling technique were applied on the gradient of fire incident 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Parameters observed were species composition of each vegetation level (seedling, sapling, and tree). Vegetation analysis obtained 9 Species seedling, Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, Melastoma malabathricum, Lantana camara, terma virgata, Cratoxylon arborescens and Ilex cymosa. Five saplings species are Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Macaranga triloba, Eugenia pelyta, and Ilex cymosa, as well as 5 trees species, namely Acacia mangium, Evodia roxburghiana, Eugenia pelyta, Cratoxylon arborescens, and Ilex cymosa. It can be concluded that vegetation regeneration in long-burnt peatlands is relatively better compared to relatively new land burns. The composition of the species can be utilized for the development of learning module of High School Biology class X on Ecosystem Component (KD 3.10) and Environmental Change and its impact to the life of Class X (KD 3.11). It is recommended to test the use of the generated modules and the benefits of enriching student learning materials in a classical way. Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to develop Solubility and Solubility Constant Product (Ksp) module based on problem solving for Senior High School Students in 11th Grade Curriculum 2013 which is valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (R&D) which covering Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The object of this research is module based on problem solving. The data collection instrument used are a validation sheet that given to three expert validators and user response questionnaire that given to three chemistry teachers and 20 Senior High School Students. Data analysis technique is by calculating the percentage score of validation and user response. The average score of the assessment by the validator team, i.e. self-instructional, self-contained, stand alone, adaptive, user friendly, IDEAL Problem Solving, pedagogic, and gradability aspects are 95,83%, 95,83%, 87,5%, 95,83%, 95%, 98,33%, 93,33%, dan 96,43%. Thus, the mean overall score of the solubility and Ksp module based on problem solving is 94,762% with ‘Valid’ category. The teacher’s average response to the module score os 91,667% with the croteria can be used without revision. The percentage of average score of student’s responses to developed module is 94% with the croteria can be used well. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the module based on problem solving is valid and can be used well on subject of solubility and Ksp.Key Word : Module, Problem Solving, Solubility and Solubility Constant Product (Ksp).

Abstract

Abstrack : This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative services to the participation of members. Research was conducted on KUD Three Koto Districts Koto Kampar Hulu district Kampar with 93 sample obtained using the method of sampling area. The analysis techniques used in this research is Simple mlinear regression analysis. The result showed that the cooperative services affect the participation of members of the cooperative can be seen from the results of a calculated tvalute ( 9.332 ) > Htable ( 1.986 ) or Ho refused and Ha accepted. Furthermore the results of research partially, (R²) of 0.489. What this means is that the percentage effect of cooperative services to the participation of members of 48.9%. While the remaining 51.1% is a variable that is not examined in this study. Keywords : Service Cooperatives, Member Participation

Abstract

Abstract:This study was conducted because of low yields VA grade social studies student of SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. Of the 37 student who achieve KKM a many as people (45,95), while student who do not reach the KKM is 20 people (54,05) with an average of 74,83 .the poruse of this research to improve learning outcomes IPS VA grade student of SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru learning model application word square. A model word square is a learning model that uses boxs as a tool in a conveying a teacing materials in a the learn a teaching, in a model of word square there questions and a also answer where the answerto every question is inserted into the boxs then student looking for answer on the question by shading in answer given in the box a either vertically,horizontally or diagonally. Analysis of the research data base a score IPS student learning outcoms increasein cycle I and II. This increase is evident from the results of student learning before using model a is 74,83 square on the second cycle increased a 77,16. The percentage of teacher activity after applied learning models a square word at the first meeting of the first cycle that 70,83 square on the second cycle increased a 77,16. The percentage of teacher activity after applied learning models a word square at the first meeting of the first cycle 70,83 increast in the fourth meeting of the scond cycle becomes a 95,83 % with a categori very well. . It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model word square can improve learning outcomes IPS graders VA SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru.Key Word: Word Square,Learning Outcomes IPS.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of teachers in performing their main tasks in PKBM Scholar. Includes identifying learning needs, controlling curricula, executing the learning process, choosing methods and learning to implement according to the achievement domain (knowledge, attitudes and skills), motivating students, choosing, compiling or developing media / learning materials, managing learning activities and assessing learning outcomes. This study uses a descriptive naturalistic method with a qualitative approach aimed at knowing the performance of tutors in performing their main tasks. This study consists of one variable, namely the performance of tutors in performing their main tasks with 8 indicators, 22 sub-indicators. The subjects of this study were 3 people consisting of 1 key informant, 1 audit informant and 1 observer informant. Techniques used for data collection were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, display data, data verification and triangulation. From the results of the research there are 3 indicators that are not in line with the main tasks of the tutor in accordance with the book with guidelines for package implementation of program programs, namely motivating students, package C tutors in PKBM Insan Cendekia not all of them perform their main tasks in motivating students. When choosing, compiling or developing media / learning materials package C, teachers at PKBM Insan Cendekia are still unable to properly choose or develop learning media. When assessing learning outcomes, there are some tutors who do not take daily tests, where daily tests are important when evaluating the results of teachers when teaching.Key Words: Performance, Tutor

Abstract

Abstrak: This study describes research and development of the song for student help to learn Japanese vocabulary. The menthod is able for self-study, learning and memorizing vocabulary by the song. This study aims to help if research and development menthod is suitable by the standar of the expert/validator for class learning. The procedures are 1) potential background, 2) data-collecting, 3) planning, 4) product development, 5) validation, and 6) product revision. Data-collecting methods are distributes the questionnaire then collects the result done by media and material experts/validators. The validation results of the songs are Doraemon song received 80% of material and 91,6% of media, Ninja Hatori song received 79,1% of material and 91,6% of media, and P-Man song received 87,5% of material and 66,6% of media, the three songs are suitable for learning and memorizing the vocabulary words.Key Words: media-learning, song, vocabulary, research and development

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the lack of availability  mathematics learning instrument based curicullum 2013 by teachers. This research purpose is produce to mathematics learning instrument (Lesson Plan and Student Worksheet) which refers to Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on matter of build flat quadrilaeral for SMP/MTs. This reserch method used is 4D model by Thiagarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, and Melvyn I. Semmel that consist of define, design, development, and disseminate, but the reserch only done to development step. Based on the results, data analysis can be concluded that the study of mathematics is very valid to the average ratings for the lesson plan is 3.85 and the average ratings for the student worksheet is 3.82. The student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification in mean percentage of student responses 97.5% in small group trial  and 97% in large group trial.
