Abstract

Abstract: Bajikea is a tradition that is in Kenengerina Baturijal which has developed in the year. This study aims (1) To find out the history of the origin of the Bajikea tradition in Kenegerian Baturijal, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, (2) To find out the meaning of the Bajikea tradition in Kenegerian Baturijal, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency (3) To find out the procedures implementation of the Bajikea tradition in Kenegerian Baturijal, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, (4) To find out the perceptions of the young generation towards the preservation of the Bajikea tradition in Kenegerian Baturijal, Peranap District. Indragiri Hulu District, (5) To find out how to preserve the Bajikea tradition in Kenegerian Baturijal, Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The results of the research obtained show that Bajikea comes from the word Zikir, which is a prayer, praise and narration of the history of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which is pronounced in a rhythm or tone that is usually performed during the night of the wedding, circumcision and others. This Bajikea is one of the original art traditions of Baturijal. The first procedure for implementing this Bajikea is ninik mamak or tenganai who will perform a celebration coming to the house of the Bajikea chairman. Bajikea is an art performance by singing 3 poems. The first procedure for implementing Bajikea is ninik mamak or tenganai who will perform a celebration coming to the house of the Bajikea chairman named Mr. Wal to ask to be present at the event that will be invited such as: Marriage, Circumcision and others, the younger generation is the next generation, the Bajikea tradition in Baturijal has been preserved for a long time by our elders. social media, taught to the younger generation through desktop-based interactive applications such as flash, visual basic, etc., and also through mobile-based applications, such as Android or iOS, or even game-based applications.Key Words: The Bajikea Tradition of The State Community of Baturijal, Roleap Sub-District,Indragiri Upstream District

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify the level of motivation in reading comprehension of the second year students’ of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung, to recognize the level of reading comprehension ability the second year students’ of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung, and to find out if there is a significant correlation between motivation and reading comprehension of the second year students of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung. The sample of this research consisted of 38 students which were taken by using Total Sampling Technique. The data were collected through a set of questionnaire to measure students’ motivation and test to measure students’ reading comprehension. The research findings revealed that the motivation of the second year students of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung is categorized into high level (36.9%). The reading comprehension ability of the second year students of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung is categorized into good level (55.3%). Pearson’s Product Moment Formula was used to correlate both motivation (variable X) and reading comprehension (variable Y). The result showed that there was a statistically significant correlation (0.650) between the students’ motivation and their reading comprehension. In short, there is a significant correlation between motivation and reading comprehension of the second year students of SMA Negeri 4 Tapung.Key Words: Correlation, Motivation, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

ABSTRACT, based on the observation that the author did in SDN 009 Air Hitam, Parit Teratak Sentajo Raya subdistrict there are phenomena of which, is the low ability students, in the long jump, with a leap generated no more than 2 meters. The problem is apparently due to low speed run that owned the students, therefore the researchers aim to conduct research on the relationship speed to run with the results of the long jump. This type of research is correlational, meaning a statistical board, which can be used to compare the results of measurements of two different variables in order to determine the degree of association between these variables (Arikunto, 2006: 273). In this study serve as a speed variable "X" and the result of long jump squat style as the variable "Y". The sample in this study were students of class V SDN 009 Trenches Teratak totaling 18 people. The data in this study were obtained from the test running speed of 40 meters and long jump test squat style. Before analysis, the normality test of data which results in a normal distribution of data karean L count <L tables. Having analyzed using product moment correlation values obtained 0.78 r count> r table 12:48 it can be concluded that there is a link speed to run with the results of the long jump squat style school student 009 Air Hitam Ditch Teratak Sentajo Raya subdistrict.Keywords: speed running, long jump, squat style

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out the reading ability of the second year students of SMPN 6 Tambusai. The population of this research is the second year students of SMPN 6 Tambusai. The number of sample is 30 students selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument to collect the data was multiple choice test items with 30 questions. . Each text consist of 6 questions which cover the components of reading and the components of descriptive that is finding main ideas, finding restatements, finding meaning of difficult words, finding references, finding factual informations, and finding social functions. The data were analyzed by classifying them into five levels of mastery, such as excellent, good, avarage, poor, and very poor. Based on the findings this research, it was found that the students’ reading ability of the first year students of SMPN 6 Tambusai was in good level with the mean score was 62.05. The implication of this research is that the second year students of SMPN 6 Tambusai have a good ability in reading descriptive text.Key Words: Students’ ability, Reading, Descriptive Text

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research is aimed to find out whether there is a significant effect of students’ speaking ability after using Role Play technique in teaching speaking at the first year students of SMP Negeri 9 Bintan. The research problem is: Can the application of role play technique improve the speaking ability of the first year students of SMP Negeri 9 Bintan?. The design of the research was one group pretest-posttest design and the research was conducted at SMP Negeri 9 Bintan. Cluster random sampling method was used to select one class of students to become the sample. As a result, 34 students of class VIIB at the first semester of academic year 2016/2017 were chosen as the samples. The steps applied in using role play technique are: (1) The teacher introduced the activity by explaining the material, making sure that all the students understand it (2) Teacher and students discussed about relevant  vocabulary, sentences, or dialogues based on the material (3) Students were divided into groups (4) The teacher gave role card for each students to act out (5) The students familiarize themselves with their roles in a few minutes (6) Students constructed the dialogue based on their roles with their friends and practiced their own dialogue in a few minutes to familiarize them with the language (7) Teachers let the students act out the role play and exchanged their roles without interrupting or correcting (8) Teacher evaluated and checked students’ comprehension. The instrument used was a speaking test and the obtained data was analyzed by using SPSS version 21.0 for Windows. The results of data analysis are t-test (17.16) was higher than t-table (2.042). This indicates that there is a significant effect of students’ speaking ability after being taught using Role Play technique in teaching speaking.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to isolation and identification of bacteria market organic waste Pekanbaru city om march-June 2016. Result of the research use for make a material learning design the form student worksheet in biologi SMA. The research conducted with 2 phase namely experimental research and design or material learning the from student worksheet. Method of the research is purvosive sampling method wich set sampel taked location based on waste spread. Identification of bacteria wich macroscopis observation is cell shape, edge cell and colour cell wall bacteria, gram colour, and Biohchemical test. Result of research showed 10 genus bacteria found from 4 market Pekanbaru city, 10 genus of bacteri consist of genus Enterobacter, Streptococcus, Streptomyces, Holobacterium, Proteus, Eschericia, Neisseria, Pseudomonas, Klebseilla and Bacillus. Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research was aimed to find out the ability of the second year students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts. The subject of this research was class XI IPS 1 which consisted of 32 students. The data were collected by administering a test to the students in the form of multiple choice test. The findings of the research are as following: finding the main idea (75.00), finding the factual information in complication (65.63), finding the factual information in resolution (70.63), finding the meaning of vocabulary (67.50), finding references (71.88), finding inference (51.25), finding social function (73.13). As a conclusion, the highest score was in finding the main ideas (75.00) which categorized into good level, and the lowest score was in finding inference (51.25) which categorized into mediocre level. The implication of the finding is that the second year students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru should improve their reading skills in order to reach excellent level.Keywords: Reading Ability, Comprehending Narrative Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is based on the low learning outcomes IPS of class students VA SD Negeri 81 Pekanbaru. The KKM determined by the school is 73. Of the 26 students, only 7 students (26,92%) attained the KKM, while the students who had not reached the KKM were 19 students (73,08%) with an average grade is 67,69. This study is aims to improve learning outcomes IPS of class VA SD Negeri 81 Pekanbaru by applying the model of learning cooperative, make a match’ type. Activity teachers on the first cycle of the first meeting obtained 66,7% with enough category, at the second meeting increased to 79,2% with good category. Furthermore, second cycle of the first meeting of teacher’s activity also increased to 83,3% with good category too and second cycle at the second meeting increased to 91,7% with very good category. While the activity of student in first cycle of first meeting get 62,5% with enough category, at second meeting of first cycle increased to 75% with enough category too. While in the first meeting of the second cycle of student activity increased to 83.3% with good category and at the second meeting of second cycle increased to 87.5% with very good category. Learning result data obtained from the average basic score is 67,69 which is increased to 16,48% with an average is 78,85 on the first cycle. On the second cycle increased to 23,57% with an average is 83,65. In the basic score of social sciences learning classical completeness students are 26,92% (not complete). After applied model of cooperative learning make a match’ type in first cycle of classical completeness of learning student increase with classical completeness is 76,92% and in second cycle classical completeness learning student increase again with classical mastery is 88,46%.Keywords: Cooperative learning model make a match type, learning outcomes IPS

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the application of STAD cooperative learning model to improve student learning result of science class IV SDN 006 Raja Bejamu. Student learning outcomes have not shown the expected results, the learning outcome is only 44%. The type of research is class action research consisting of 4 stages of planning, observation, action and reflection. The variable measured in this study is learning outcomes measured using a test. Application of STAD type learning model can improve the average of student learning outcomes from 69.44 to 77.08. This study also measured teacher and student activity using observation sheets. Teacher activity increased from 58.53% to 91.67% and student activity also increased from 50% to 87.5%.Keyword: cooperatif learning , STAD, Learning Outcome IPA.

Abstract

Abstract : The purposes of research were to improve student’s study result of social sciences by implementation cooperative learning student facilitator and explaining type. The background of the problem in this research was the poor students’ achievements in social sciences, it can be seen on students’ social sciences scores. There were 17 of 30 students who had not achieved the Achievement Standard (56.67%), while the ones who achieved were only 13 students (43.33%), and the average scores of the class was 63.83. The Achievement Standard that school determines is 70. The method of research was classroom action research implemented in two cycles that consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected by observation technigue, test technigue and documentary technigue. The instrument of data collection used observation sheet and test student’s result . At the first meeting in cycle I, the percentage of teachers’ activity was 62.50% which is categorized as good. At the second meeting, the percentage increased to 75.00% which is categorized as good. At the first meeting in cycle I, the percentage increased to 83.33% that is categorized as very good. At the second meeting the percentage increased to 95.83% which is categorized as very good. The students’ activities had increased. At the first meeting in cycle I, the students’ activities gained 58.33% which is categorized as enough, while at the second meeting in cycle I the students’ activities gained 62.50% which is categorized as good.At the first meeting of cycle II, the percentage increased to 87.50% that is categorized as very good, while at the second meeting the percentage increased to 91.67% which is categorized as very good. The average of students’ achievements before the implementation cooperative learning student facilitator and explaining type was 63.83 which increased to 71.83 in cycle I, and increased again to 83.67 in cycle II. The result of research showed that implementation cooperative learning student facilitator and explaining type can improve student’s result of social sciences.Key Words: Study Result,Cooperative Learning Student Facilitator and Explaining Type, social sciences
