Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills on quality material for the interaction of living things with their environment in class VII junior high school. This research was carried out at the Biology Educations Laboratory of Teacher Training and Educations, University of Riau and the state junior high school 1 Pekanbaru in October 2020- January 2021. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE’S research model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this research, it is limited only to the development stage. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets and questionnaires of respondens. The results of the validation of student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills are at an average value of 3.68 with a very valid category. The results of the limited test score are 3.64 with a very good category. Thus, student worksheets based Multiple Intelegences (MI) to train critical thinking skills in the material on the interaction of living things with their environment class VII junior high school has been successfully developed with a very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.Key Words: Student Worksheets, Multiple Intelegences, Critical Thinking Skills

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the observations of research at PPLP Gulat Dispora Riau and the results of interviews with coach Yudha Setia Nugraha where the male cadet athletes of Riau wrestling aged 15-17 years have a deficiency which is influenced by one of the factors of physical condition, namely strength, where when carrying out leg attacks the strength of the back muscles not strong so that the opponent can anticipate by pressing his body down, wrestlers also find it difficult to lift the opponent that hit his body, and difficulty lifting the opponent's leg when standing. The title that the research examined was "the effect of reverse body lifts training on the back muscle strength of the Riau wrestling male cadet athletes" so the aim of this research was to determine the effect of reverse body lifts on the back muscle strength of the male cadets in Riau wrestling. The form of this research is (one group pretest-postest design) with a population of male cadet athletes in Riau wrestling. The data in this research were the entire population, amounting to 6 people. The instrument used in this research is to use a back and leg dynamometer, which aims to determine how much influence the athlete's back muscle strength is. The results obtained were analyzed using the t-test which resulted in a t count of 33.673 with a t table of 1.943, so Ha was accepted, at the alpha (α) 0.05 level. It can be concluded that there is an effect of reverse bpdy lift training on the back muscle strength of male cadet athletes in Riau wrestling.Key Words: Reverse Body Lifts Exercise, back muscle strength

Abstract

Abstract: The development of Science and Technology has led the world to the 4.0 industrial revolution which requires a teacher to be able to keep up with the times. In addition, there is a lack of use of innovative and attractive learning media for students, so it is necessary to develop practical and attractive teaching materials using certain software. One of the teaching materials that can be developed is an electronic module. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of electronic modules using the Kvisoft FlipBook Maker application on Straight Motion material for class X SMA. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using the modified ADDIE model consisting of only 3 stages, namely the analysis, design and development stages. The types of data to be obtained in this research are quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data is in the form of the validity value of the electronic module, and qualitative data is obtained from criticism and suggestions from the validator. The data collection instrument used was in the form of an electronic module validation sheet. Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the validity of the electronic module using the Aiken's V formula. The results showed that the overall validity of the electronic module was valid with an Aiken validity index of 0.87. So that the electronic module using the Kvisoft FlipBook Maker application on Straight Motion material for class X SMA is declared valid based on appearance aspects, software utilization aspects, content feasibility aspects, presentation feasibility aspects, and language feasibility aspects. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the perceptions of teachers tutors to competence of PLP students of economic education FKIP Riau University at Pekanbaru City High School in 2019. Competencies reviewed include pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The data collection technique used was a Likert scale questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. Based on the teacher's perceptions of 25 PLP students, the results of the study showed that, the PLP students' pedagogical competence was in the Good category with a percentage of 83.02%, professional competence was in the Very Good category with a percentage of 84.5%, personal competence was in the Very Good category with a percentage 88.2%, and social competence is in the Very Good category with a percentage of 87.87%. Based on these results, the competence of PLP students in economic education is in the Very Good category with an average percentage of 85.90%. Furthermore, students are expected to maintain and improve several aspects of perceived competence such as the ability to understand the characteristics of students, develop and apply learning materials creatively and innovatively.Key Words: Perception, Teacher Competence, Introduction To The School Field.

Abstract

Abstract : This study is about interjections translation in One Piece comic. The purpose of this study is to examines interjections and describes the procedures and method of translation based on Newmark theory, and analyze the equivalences of Japanese interjections into Indonesian language. The data of this study were analyze using qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study found 14 interjections using the semantic translation method, and 3 translation procedures, that is componential analysis translation, through translation, and naturalisation translation.Key Word: Interjection, Translation, Comic

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of the socio-economic conditions and educational background of parents on the learning motivation of students of SMK Negeri 1 Kempas Indragiri Hilir. The population in this study were students of SMK Negeri 1 Kempas. This number cannot be determined. The sampling technique uses the simple random sampling method, which is a way to identify, select and take samples in a continuous network or chain of relationships until the number of samples in this study is 100 respondents. The data analysis used is the prerequisite test that has been carried out by the SPSS Statistics Version 22 program. The results of the study stated that 1) the socio-economic conditions had a positive and significant effect on student learning motivation, 2) the educational background of parents had a positive and significant effect on student learning motivation, 3) the socioeconomic conditions and educational background of parents had a positive and significant effect on Student's motivation to study.Keywords: Socio-Economic Conditions, Parents Background, Learning Motivation

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on lecture activities carried out through social media, due to the corona virus outbreak in Indonesia. Such conditions encourage educators to use social media as a learning tool, therefore lecturers at the Riau University Civics Study Program carry out the teaching and learning process using social media as has been applied at Riau University in order to keep learning created, even in the conditions of the Covid 19 outbreak. which limits students and lecturers from meeting face to face. Based on this phenomenon, a problem formulation was drawn, namely how the student learning behavior of the Riau University Civics Study Program was using social media. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning behavior of students in the Civics Study Program by using Social Media as a learning tool. In this study, the method used is descriptive quantitative. The data collection instrument used in this study is a questionnaire consisting of 27 questions from 11 indicators. The population of this study were students of the Riau University Civics Study Program. The sample in this study was taken by proportional stratified random sampling with a total sample of 68 people. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the learning behavior of students of the Riau University Civics Study Program using social media is in the "Good" category.Key Words: Learning behaviour,College student , Social Media

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out and analyze the students’ difficulties in writing recount text at the first-year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. The population of this research were the first-year students of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. The sample of this research was X ADP class, consist of 30 students who have been selected using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by using writing test. The writing test were analyzed using ESL Profile Composition by Jacob (1981) through three raters. There are five aspects have been analyzed: content, organization, vocabulary, language use and mechanic. The findings of the research revealed that students got fair to poor and very poor level in content aspect, good to average and fair to poor level in organization and vocabulary aspects, and fair to poor level in language use and mechanics aspects. As the result of the research, it found that students have the difficulties in writing recount text for each aspects of writing especially in content, language use and mechanics aspects.Key Word: Analysis, Difficulties, Writing, Recount Text

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to produce valid virtual laboratory-based studentworksheets to be used as a medium for learning Physics in grade XI SMA on the kinetictheory of gas materials. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D)with the ADDIE type of instructional media design model. In this study, threeexperienced physics education lecturers are carried out in the validation stage. Theresearch instrument is a questionnaire in the form of a checklist. The aspects assessedinclude aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility aspects, linguisticfeasibility aspects and graphic feasibility aspects. This study uses two types of data;quantitative data is obtained from the score of the validator's assessment questionnaireand qualitative one in the form of criticism and suggestions from the validator. The dataanalysis technique in this study is descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity valueof each component of the student worksheet assessment using the Aiken's V coefficientformula. The results show that virtual laboratory-based worksheets are declared validwith Aiken's V coefficient value of 0.823 with very high category.Key Words: Student Worksheets, Virtual Laboratory, Kinetic Gas Theory

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out whether there is a correlationbetween vocabulary mastery and writing ability of the fifth semester students of EnglishDepartment Universitas Riau. The population is the fifth semester students of EnglishDepartment Universitas Riau. The sample was chosen by using cluster randomsampling and class A is used as the sample. Multiple choice test was used to know thestudents' vocabulary mastery and a writing essay test was used to know the studentswriting ability. The collected data were analyzed by using Pearson Product MomentCorrelation. The result of the correlation and coefficient was 0.574, it can be confirmedthat the two variables have a “Mediocre Correlation” based on the interpretation bySugiyono (2017). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. In conclusion,there was a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and writing ability of thefifth semester students of English Department Universitas Riau with mediocre level. Theobtained determination coefficient (R square) is 0.330 or 33%. This means thatvocabulary clarifies only 23% toward writing ability. While the rest 67% (100%-33%)is probably due to other factors which are not involved in this research's variables.Key Words: Correlation, Vocabulary Mastery, Writing Ability
