Abstract

Abstract:The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant difference in the linguistic intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in kindergartens that focus on the tahfidz program and kindergartens that do not focus on the tahfidz program. The type of research taken is comparative research. The steps taken in this comparative research are: Potential and problems, gathering information, and limited field testing. Data collection techniques in this study are by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The instrument used consisted of two types of validation, namely instrument validation regarding children's linguistic intelligence and assessment instruments. Meanwhile, for a limited field test, using an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used for this research is statistical analysis method. Based on calculations from several tests conducted, it indicates that there is a comparison of the linguistic development of children whose kindergarten focuses on the tahfidz program with kindergartens that do not focus on the tahfidz program. It can be concluded that there is a significant comparison in the linguistic development of children whose kindergarten focuses on the tahfidz program with kindergartens that do not focus on the tahfidz program.Key Words: Tahfidz, Linguistic Intelligence of Children Age 5-6 Years.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of application quality andtransaction security on consumer purchasing decisions of e-Commerse shopee at FKIP,Riau University. The population in this study were students from FKIP, Riau Universitywho made purchases through the e-Commerse shopee application. This number cannotbe determined. The sampling technique uses the snowball sampling method, which is away to identify, select and take samples in a continuous network or chain of relationshipsuntil the number of samples in this study is 100 respondents. The data analysis used isthe prerequisite test that has been carried out by the SPSS Statistics Version 22 program.The results of the study state that 1) Application Quality has a positive andsignificant effect on Purchasing Decisions, 2) Transaction Security has a positive andsignificant effect on Purchasing Decisions, 3) Application Quality and TransactionSecurity have a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions.Key Words: Application Quality, Transaction Security and Purchase Decisions

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes and explains the application of the Roleplay method in learning sonkeigo and kenjougo in Japanese language education students at FKIP Riau University. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Roleplay method was effective in improving sonkeigo and kenjougo learning in Japanese language education students of FKIP Riau University after using the Roleplay method. In this study the authors used a quasi-experimental research design characterized by a comparison class. Data collection was carried out using test techniques. The test results were processed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnova test in SPSS Version 16. The test results in the pretest and posttest of the experimental class had increased, in the pretest the average value of students was 78.7 while in the posttest 93.1. Thus, the Roleplay method is effective in improving the learning outcomes of Japanese Language Education FKIP Riau University students in 2017.Key Words: Roleplay Method, Sonkeigo, Kenjougo

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the effect of shuttle run training (X) on the Agility (Y) of Kumite athletes at the Karate Education and Training Center (PPLP) of Riau Youth and Sports Agency (DISPORA). The method used in this research is an experimental method, with the research design used in this study is "One-Group Pretest Postest Design". The population of this study was the Kumite Athletes Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) Karate Department of Youth and Sports (DISPORA) Riau, in total 11 athletes. The instrument that used in this study was the Dodging Run Test. Data analysis and research hypothesis testing using independent t (t-test) with a significant level (α) of 0.05 with a confidence level of 0.95%. Based on data analysis with the results: Pre-test average 25.9 in the Post test 23.9 increased by 2 or 7.72% with the result (tcount 9.12> ttable 1.812), so Ho is rejected Ha accepted. Therefore it can be concluded that shuttle run training affects the agility of Kumite Athletes Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) Karate, Department of Youth and Sports (DISPORA) Riau.Key Words: Shittle Run, Agility, Athletes Kumite

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out the types of grammatical errors in writing descriptive text made by the first year students of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru. This is quantitative descriptive research. The population of this research were the first year students of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru. The sample of this research was 25 students of 7.5 class who have been selected using cluster-sampling technique. The data were collected by using writing test 1 and writing test 2. The data were analyzed by applying the rules of Corder (1974) through three raters. The findings of this study revealed that the students made 190 grammatical errors from the total frequency of writing test 1 and writing test 2. Those grammatical errors were classified into four types which belong to Surface Strategy Taxonomy, they are omission (28%), addition (13%), misformation (48%), and misordering (11%). The cause of errors are the presence of intralingual transfer and interlingual transfer. Based on the findings, there were several recommendations given to the students to minimize the errors that will occur such as improve their skills in writing English with do more practice to write a text and understand to the grammar used.Key Words: Error, Writing, Desciptive Text

Abstract

Abstract: The formulation of the problem in this study is how high the organizational commitment of the PKK mothers is, how high is the organizational discipline of the PKK mothers and how much influence is the commitment to discipline in the organization of the PKK mothers in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. While the purpose of this study was to determine the level of organizational commitment of PKK mothers, to determine the level of maternal organizational discipline and to determine the effect of commitment to discipline in organizations of PKK mothers in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. This research is a type of ex post facto research, a quantitative descriptive study of two variables to determine the effect between variables, before looking for the effect it is necessary to find a correlation first. The number of samples in this study were 47 people. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. This was done using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 23 for Windows. Descriptive statistical analysis was carried out to present respondent profile data in the form of mean and standard deviation of the questionnaire results, based on the demographics of the respondents, variables, indicators and questionnaire items, then inferential statistical analysis was carried out to test the results of the previous questionnaire. the formulated hypothesis. The results obtained were the level of organizational commitment of PKK mothers and high organizational discipline among PKK mothers. Furthermore, there is a significant influence between Commitment (X) on discipline in organizing PKK mothers (Y) in Maredan Barat Village, Siak Regency, a large influence of 33.30%, because there are still 66.70% which is determined by other factors which are not part of this research. This influence is illustrated by each increase in one unit of commitment (X) followed by an increase in organizational discipline (Y) of 0.684 one unit. With the Pearson correlation value, the product moment between social interactions in the family and achievement motivation is 0.577 and sig (2- Tailed) is 0.00.Key Words: Commitment, Organizational Discipline, PKK Mother

Abstract

Abstract: An Intonation is one of the most important element that affect the meaning of some sentence. Specifically Darou Intonation, which is the meaning of the word will changed if the intonation is wrong. The goal of this study is to find how a miss pronunciation on intonation of darou. this study is using a descriptive qualitative method. also instrument that used on this study is using speaking test. The respondent that participate on this study are 34 people's from 2018 class of japanese language education study program Riau University. Final result of this study indicating that half of student that participating on speaking test still wrong on the test.Key Words: Darou, Error, Intonation

Abstract

Abstract: The problems found in this study include: 1) the ball rarely goes in when shooting, 2) students have not mastered the correct body position or basic attitude when shooting, 3) students cannot control the power of the throw, and 4) students' lack of enthusiasm in do a series of exercises. This study aims to determine the effect of shooting practice with the concept of BEEF (X) on the ability to shoot free throw (Y) in men's basketball extracurricular at SMKN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The method used in this study is an experimental method, with the research design used in this study is 'One-Group Pretest Posttest Design'. The population in this study were basketball extracurricular students at SMKN 1 Bangkinang City, totaling 10 athletes. The instrument used in this research is Shooting Free Throw. Based on data analysis with the results: Pree-test average of 1.8 increased by 2.5 or 1.39% to 4.3 in Post-test with results (t count 6.76 > t table 1.833), then Ha is accepted . Thus, it can be concluded that shooting practice with the BEEF concept affects the free throw shooting ability of male basketball extracurricular students at SMKN 1 Bangkinang Kota.Key Words: Shooting Free Throw, BEEF, Extracuricular

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out the students’ ability in writing a paragraph by the second semester English Department students of Universitas Riau. The population was the second semester English Department students of Universitas Riau, they consisted of three classes: class A, class B, and class C. From 117 students of the population, class A was taken as the sample of this research consist of 39 students. Cluster random sampling was used to choose the sample. The instrument used written test in which students wrote a paragraph. Three topics were provided for students that they can choose to write a paragraph. In analyzing the data,it had been done by calculating the scores of students individually and looking for the mean scores. Based on the result, it was found that the ability of the second semester English Department students in writing a paragraph is in good category with the mean score of 68,3. However, eventhough the students writing scores is in good level, the actual of this score is not that high. This score is considered still low compare to the range from in this level (66-79). There are seven aspects of paragraph writing such as complete sentence, topic sentence, relevant details/supporting sentences, transition word&vocabulary, closing sentence, grammar, and mechanics. After analyzed the data, it was found that two aspects of paragraph writing get in high score in writng a paragraph, they are topic sentence with the mean score of 3,2 and relevant details/supporting sentence with the mean score of 3,1. On the other hand, mechanic aspect of paragraph writing have low score with the mean score of 2,6. Based on this result, it is suggested for students to improve the students’ skill in writing especially for writing paragraph and the students should do more exposure in writing a paragraph. As for the lecturers, it is better to provide more exposure student skill in writing skill by using relevant approaches and techniques to improve students' ability in writing paragraph.Key Words: Writing Paragraph, Study, Ability

Abstract

Abstract: Based on the results of observations by researchers in the field, the athlete of the Tunas Putra volleyball club, SMVC, Tapung District. Researchers observed that in training sessions and in matches, the athletes of the Men's Volleyball Club, SMVC, Tapung District, still had many shortcomings, one of which was the leg muscles when jumping during smashes and blocks. So that when the smash or block is not optimal, so that the smash is not carried out properly or can be blocked by the opponent, as well as what happened to the SMVC Men's Volleyball Club athlete in the Tapung District at the time of the block, it was so easy for the opponent to smash, as a result in the match always lose. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Stride Jump Crossover training on leg muscle power at the SMVC men's volleyball club, Tapung District. The population in this study were 15 men's volleyball club, SMVC, Tapung District. In this study, the sampling technique was carried out by means of total sampling, where the samples were male players who routinely exercised. From the entire population, there are 15 samples. The instrument used in this study was the vertical jump. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test comparisons. Based on data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Stride Jump Crossover training on leg muscle power in the men's volleyball club SMVC, Tapung District, proven by the results of tcount 1.790> t table 1.762 at α = 0.05. This proves that by doing the Stride Jump Crossover exercise, the leg muscle power can get better results. Key Words: Stride Jump Crossover Exercise, Leg Muscle Power
