Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is motivated by the awareness that mass media as a part of an agent of political socialization which has an important role in the political field. In Indonesia, the fact is that television programs with political themes are growing, one of the leading talkshows is Mata Najwa. Mata Najwa talkshow has a content on politics and has a role as political literacy. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the Universitas Riau students’ perceptions toward the role of the Mata Najwa Talkshow as political literacy. The purpose of this research is to find out the perception of Universitas Riau students on the role of the Mata Najwa Talkshow as political literacy. The benefit of the research results is that it could become a source of learning for all parties, especially students and the mass media in terms of the ability to understand, analyze, and deconstruct the image or message content of the information released by the media and provide critical awareness for the audience when dealing with media content. This research method is descriptive quantitative, data collection instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews consisting of 9 indicators with 24 questions. The population in this study was students of the Universitas Riau. The sample in this study was taken using purposive sampling technique. Based on the result of the study, it was found that the result of the average percentage value of the alternative answers to the dominant respondents was 47.92% where this range was in the "Role Enough" category with an existence in the range of 25.01% -50%. Thus, it can be concluded that Universitas Riau Students' Perception of the Role of the Mata Najwa Talkshow as Political Literacy are at the Level of Role Enough.Key Words : Mata Najwa Talkshow, Political Literacy

Abstract

Abstract: The background of the research is that terrorism cases continue to occur in Indonesia and some people accuse it of being masterminded by certain Islamic cohorts who carry out massive and coordinated movements in the community and academic circles, causimg Islamophobia. The formulation of the research problem is how the student of UKMI Ar-Royyan, Riau University perceive the stigma of terrorism of certain Islamic cohorts. The goal is to find out how the students of UKMI Ar-Royyan, Riau University perceive the stigma of terrorism of certain Islamic cohorts. Method used is quantitative with descriptive statiscal analysis techniques. The population in study were Riau University students who joined the Ar-Royyan UKMI in the 2020-2021 management. Sampling using the total sampling, amounting to 70 people. Based on the result of the study, the percentage of respondents’ alternative answers was 31,1 % wich was in the range of 25.01%-50% which was categorized as "not enough good". This shows that the perceptions of the students of UKMI Ar-Royyan University of Riau does not agree with the assumption/assessment that every use of Islamic symbols and attributes is stigmatized as perpetrators of terrorism shown in Islamic cohorts. However, the Ar-Royyan UKMI student at Riau University supports the government’s policy of banning certain cohorts that are indicated as terrorism.Key Words: perception, students, stigma of terrorism, Islamic cohort

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to determine and describe the children's identity as the victims of exploitation, and the functioning of their families in the Harapan Raya area in Pekanbaru City. This research is a qualitative study that is descriptively described. The subjects in this study were 6 children who were exploited in the Harapan Raya area. The data were collected based on the observation and structured interviews. The results showed that generally the children victims of exploitation on Jalan Harapan Raya were female, aged 9-13 years, and had a status as the students of elementary school. With the following physical characteristics: thin and short body, brown, dull skin, reddish-black hair, unpleasant body odor, yellowish teeth, wearing flip-flops, a headscarf, with simple and shabby clothes. The functioning of the families of children who are victims of exploitation on Jalan Harapan Raya, in general, has not been maximized. From the seven functions of the family, not all of them can be carried out by every family of the children victims of exploitation.Key Words: Function Of The Family, The Victims Children Exploitation

Abstract

Abstract: the purpose of this study was to analyze the behavior of early childhood (study on the use of the tiktok application in early childhood in Kampa sub- District, Kampar District. This type of research is used descriptively which tries to describe the behavior of early childhood caused by the use of the tiktok application. This research was conducted with quantitative and qualitative approaches, whit measuring tools in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The total population used in this study was 275 childre from 12 kindergartens in Kampa District sub-District, Kampar District, then interviewa and observations were made with teachers and school principals, along with their parents, so that the number of children who used the tiktok application along with their parents was obtained, as many as 56 students who were conducted by purposive sample. The data analiysis technique used in the first qualitative data analysis, namely by data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The second data collection technique is quantitative data analysis, namely by calculating the percentage with the percentage criteria between 76%-100% being said to be very high, the percentage between 56%-75% is said to be high, the percentage between 40%-55% is said to be moderate, the percentage is less than 40% is said to be low.Key Words: Early Childhood Behavior, Tiktok Application

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop a valid learning devices based on a model brain based learning on the matterial the temperature and changes in class VII SMP. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The data collection instruments used are the learning devices validation sheets. The learning devices validation sheets is given to 3 validators who are experts in the field for assessments on the learning devices validation sheets. The data analysis technique uses a quantitative descriptive analysis based on aspects on each learning device. Research indicates that the learning tools developed of RPP, LKPD, and cognitive learning test instruments were valid with an average validation value of 3.41 in the high category. Based on data analysis it can be concluded that the BBL model of learning tools is suitable for use in class VII Junior High School.Key Words: Learning Devices, Brain-Based Learning, Temperature and Change, Cognitive Learning Results

Abstract

Abstract: Prosocial behavior is any action taken or planned to help others, regardless of the helper's motives. Prosocial behavior is positive behavior that benefits or makes other people's physical or psychological conditions better, which is carried out on a voluntary basis without expecting rewards. This study aims to determine the development of prosocial behavior in adolescents in Indonesia, to determine the factors that influence adolescent prosocial behavior, forms of prosocial behavior, and efforts to increase prosocial behavior in adolescents. This research is a literature study research. The instrument used in this research is a combination of national and international journals. Data analysis in this study used qualitative. The results showed that among teenagers this prosocial behavior was quite developed because of the efforts made by family, teachers, and peers. This prosocial behavior has been improved in schools where teachers have used services and guidelines in improving this prosocial behavior. Which is in the process of increasing peer group is also one of the factors that influence the development of prosocial behavior in adolescents.Key Words: Literature study, Prosocial behavior

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine how effective the Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy is in teaching students to read descriptive texts. The analysis used in this research was descriptive. The population of this research was all the first year students of SMA N 1 Reteh in the 2019/2020 Academic Year and one teacher. The sample for this research was 34 students from X MIPA 2 class who had been selected by using the cluster-random-sampling technique. A questionnaire and an interview were used to collect data. The questionnaire consisted of 10 statements and the interview consisted of 10 questions. Based on the result of the questionnaire, the mean score is 4.05, which means that the use of Scaffolded Reading Experience influenced by reading activity in the learning process in English class is high. Based on the result of the interview, the teaching outcomes which used the Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy were good. The teacher said that the Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy was easy to use and helped the students to understand the descriptive text more easily. Following comprehension, the teacher stated that some of the students could create their own descriptive text, though some students still struggled with writing the text. But after the students asked for re-explanation, the teacher explained again until the students understood a little more. The teacher thought the quality was good. The teacher stated that she would use the Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy as her first choice in the classroom teaching and learning process and that she would recommend the Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy to her peers for teaching other subjects.Key Words: Using, Scaffolded Reading Experience Strategy, Reading, Descriptive Text.

Abstract

Abstract: Animation slide presentation learning media is a learning media packaged in the form of learning videos that allow students to always access the media anytime and anywhere because it is connected via the internet using google classroom and students can download the media after being uploaded by the teacher via google classroom. The media animation slide presentation in this study was developed on magnetic field material in high school. The purpose of this research is to produce learning media that are valid and can be used for teaching and learning physics activities in high school on magnetic field material. This research is expected to be a learning media that is easy to use and access by students so that learning objectives can be achieved even in online conditions. Besides, this media is expected to make it easier for teachers to deliver learning materials. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used in this study is the media validation assessment sheet and the material used by the validator to assess the appropriateness of using animation slide presentation media for teaching and learning activities. Data analysis in this study used quantitative data analysis, by calculating the average validity score of each validity indicator. The results showed that the media animation slide presentation was declared valid with the overall score of the media was 3.45 with a very high category, so it was declared feasible to be used in online physics teaching and learning activities on magnetic field material in high school.Keywords: Animation Slide Presentation Media, Online Learning, Magnetic Field

Abstract: This study was describe the strategy used by translator in translating Senka’s label as beauty product. This study used descriptive qualitative research with theory of Vinay and Darbelnet. This study used eight senka’s product such as Senka Perfect Whip U, Senka Perfect Whip Acne Care, Senka Perfect Whip Collagen In, Senka Perfect White Clay, Senka All Clear Oil, Senka Perfect Aqua Rich-Extra Moist, Senka Aqua White Mask Extra White, Senka Perfect Aqua White Mask Soothing White. The technique of data analysis used is the first observing data from label product. The next is wrote word, phrases and sentences which related to translation strategy. Then select data based on word, phrases and sentences which appropriate to translation strategy. Last is deduced. The result from this study is 23 data found with 12 words, 3 phrases and 8 sentences in translation strategy. The strategy used was literal, transference, transposition and strategy with reduction.Key Word: beauty, label product, translation

Abstract

Abstract: This development aims to produce an Electronic LKPD Based on Critical Thinking with PBL on quality Class X Environmental Change Materials. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Riau University and SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Kuantan from January to March 2022. The research subject was KD 3. 6 material on environmental changes in class X SMA. The type of research used is the ADDIE Research and Development model. The instruments used are in the form of validation sheets and response questionnaires. The validation sheet consists of 4 aspects, namely aspects of content feasibility, linguistic aspects, presentation aspects, and graphic aspects. The average validation result of the electronic LKPD based on the four aspects is 3.90 with a very valid category. The four aspects include content feasibility aspects 4, linguistic aspects 3.88, presentation aspects 3.92, and graphic aspects 3.81. The results of the limited trial phase I got an average score of 3.91 very good categories. While the results of the limited trial phase II got an average score of 3.92 in the very good category. The results showed that the electronic LKPD based on critical thinking with PBL on the material for environmental change in class X was of high quality and suitable to be used as a learning resource.Key Words: Electronic LKPD, Critical Thinking, PBL, Environmental Change.
