Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out the type of conditional sentences the fifth-semester students of the English Department of Universitas Riau make errors. The population was the fifth-semester students of The English Department at Teachers Training and Education Universitas Riau, they consisted of three classes: class A, class B, and class C. From 114 students of the population, the participant was taken as the sample of this research consists of 30 students. Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample. The instrument used written test in which students must use the word in the bracket into the correct type of Conditional Sentences. In analyzing the data, it had been done by calculating the scores of students individually and looking for the mean scores. Based on the result, it was found that the errors made by the fifth semester students of the English department of Universitas Riau in using conditional sentences is in using conditional sentences type 1, the students made 115 errors (22.8%). In type 2 students made 136 errors (27%). In type 3 students made 253 errors (50.2%). The students made 504 errors in conditional sentences type 1, 2 and 3. Conditional sentences type 3 becomes the highest error that students made. The second highest errors made by students were in using conditional sentences type 2, while the lowest errors made by students were in using conditional sentences type 1. Based on this result, it is suggested for the students should pay more attention in learning and teaching process. The students should have more practice in grammar and remember the grammatical pattern and rules. As for the lecturers, it is better to explain as clear as possible all of the types of conditional sentences generally and conditional sentences type 3 specifically, not only the meaning and formula but also the usage.Key Words: Conditional Sentences, Error, Students

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been carried out which aims to determine the types of butterflies in the Riau University campus area. The research was conducted at the mini stadium orchard, Fisip orchard and Faperta orchard in August-September 2022. Sampling was carried out using an insec net. Then the butterflies that were caught were put into temporary storage bottles to be identified. The results of the research on the diversity of butterfly species in the Riau University area were then developed into posters that were used as learning resources. The design of poster media was carried out at the Biology Education Binawidya Campus, FKIP, Riau University.Key Words: Diversity, Butterfly, Posters

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of the research to describe the educative interaction and dominant learning strategy applied by lecturers to increase the activity Japanese Educations Language students of Riau University. The subjects chosen in this study are communicative courses, Kaiwa and Choukai 6 and Bijinesu Nihongo. The study used qualitative approach with describe method. The object of the study was the lecturer who teaches the subject. The technique of collecting data used ware observations technique and interview technique. The results of the research explain that the tendency of categories that appear in Kaiwa and Choukai 6 and Bijinesu Nihongo learning have similarities. Based on seven categories of Brown (BIAS), tendency of categories appear is pupil responses category. Most of the students prefer in speaking activity both in giving comment and asking, this is in line with the applied learning strategy by the lecturers is interactive learning strategy. Based on the dominant learning strategy applied, it has positive influence on student activity while studying and use Japanese language.Key Words: Learning Strategies, Educative Interaction, Language Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how the choukai understanding of the 2020 students of the Japanese Language Education study program at the University of Riau on the sakura tips podcast. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The population is the class of 2020 students, totaling 27 people. The instrument of this research is in the form of a test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the choukai understanding of the class of 2020 students towards the sakura tips podcast obtained an average score of 66% in the good category.Key Words: Understanding, Choukai, Podcast

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative descriptive research was to identify the strategies of compliment responses to the EFL learners of the English Study Program of Universitas Riau. This study applied the theory of Holmes (1988) and Farenkia (2012) as supporting idea to analyzethe types of compliment responses. The participants of this research involved 32 EFL participants of the English Study Program selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument of the data was collected by using a DCT (Discourse Completion Task) which contained several situations in which participants were required to response to a compliments. The result showed that the participants used many kinds of strategies in response to a compliment. The accept strategy was the most used by the participants to interact in their daily life. Furthermore, the single appreciation token strategy appeared the most within overall strategies that appeared in the DCT.Key Words: Compliment, Compliment Responses, Types Of Compliment Responses,Speech Act

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the influence of independent commissioners and audit committees on the financial performance of Islamic banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014-2021 period. The population in this study are all Islamic banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2014-2021 period, namely 4 companies and all populations will be studied (census). The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of an annual report obtained from the website www.idx.com. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 26 software. Based on the results of this study it shows that simultaneously the independent board of commissioners and audit committee variables have proven to have an effect on the financial performance of Islamic banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2014-2014 period. 2021. Meanwhile, partially the independent board of commissioners and audit committee variables have no effect on the financial performance of Islamic banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014-2021 period.Key Words: Independent board of commissioners, Audit committee, Financial performance

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of Japanese vocabulary mastery of class XI students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The population is class XI SMAN 9 Pekanbaru with a sample of 30 students. The instrument of this research is a test. The data analysis technique used SPSS Version 25. The results showed that the level of mastery of Japanese vocabulary at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru students got an average score of 66.00 with less category.Key Words: Mastery, Vocabulary, Japanese

Abstract

Abstract: Foreign language reading anxiety has a negative effect on cognitive processes and behavior because in language classes between physical, cognitive, and behavioral anxiety are symptoms that influence each other. A quantitative descriptive methodology was used in this research. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of reading anxiety students class of 2021 Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Riau University. Respondents in this reseacrh were 30 students of 2021 Japanese Language Education Study Program in Riau University. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires using FLRAS instruments (Ahmad, 2013). The results showed that as many as 4 students or 13% had low reading anxiety levels, 21 students or 70% had a medium level of anxiety, and 5 students or 17% had a high level of anxiety.Key Words : japanese language anxiety, reading anxiety, anxiety level, FLRAS

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out what procedures that carried out in developing UNO card media and it already standardized by experts or validators so it’s suitable for media learning. This study uses a research and development model of R&D using the Sugiyono model. The subjects of this study were 20 students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program level II. The collected data were analyzed using questionnaires. The results of the research are based on five stages: a) Potential Problems b) Data Collecting, c) Product Design, d) Product Validation, e) Product Trial. The eligibility level of UNO card media is based on an assessment by 2 validators which consist material experts and media experts. UNO card media is eligible based on validation result by material experts with an average score of 82,14% in the appropriate category, and then media experts with an average score of 97,91% in the very appropriate category. The product should be revised according to suggestions and input from the experts. UNO card media was tested on students of the Japanese Language Education Study with 81,71% in the very appropriate category for kanji learning.Key Words: Karuta, Kanji, Japanese language education.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of parenting to student learning achievement in class XI subjects of Muhammadiyah Bangkinang High School The population of this study is all students of class XI of Muhammadiyah Bangkinang High School with a total of 20 people. The sample in this study using the census method was taken as a whole for class XI students in 2019/2020 which amounted to 20 people Data analysis techniques used using editing and scoring techniques, namely checking the completeness and filling of questionnaires or questionnaires that have been collected and providing scores on each questionnaire answer as follows: in this time there are five answer categories, namely: strongly agree, agree, hesitate, disagree, and strongly disagree. The items are scored based on the selected answers and the types of positive and negative questions. For positive questions the score moves from the answer the score is 3, 2, 1. for negative questions the suspension moves the opposite. The correlation between parenting (variable X) and economic learning achievement (variable Y) goes in the same direction. In other words, there is a positive correlation between the two.Key Words: Parenting and Learning achievements
