Abstract

Background Despite collaborative endorsements by UNICEF and the Indonesian government to actualize child-friendly schools, substantial disparities persist regarding implementation efficacy, particularly within elementary education in the Bantul District. Purpose This study evaluates the execution of the child-friendly school initiative, aiming to delineate its specific impacts on parental cognitive and attitudinal shifts, institutional culture, and pedagogical practices Design/method/approach Employing a quantitative evaluation framework, empirical data were systematically gathered from 795 respondents across 16 primary schools in the Bantul District. The dataset was subsequently subjected to statistical analysis utilizing IBM SPSS Statistics 26 Results Findings demonstrated robust programmatic compliance, with all evaluated institutions surpassing a 75% achievement threshold. The analytical breakdown revealed strong mean scores across all evaluative parameters: 89.64% for context, 81.79% for input, 91.22% for process, and 86.37% for product Contribution/value This research elucidates the localized impacts of macro-level child-friendly educational policies, offering a verifiable assessment framework to help policymakers and educators optimize institutional environments, teaching methodologies, and community engagement

Abstract

Background: The inadequacy of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) instruction, which remains predominantly cognitive and lecture-based, thereby limiting internalization of nationalistic values among elementary school students, constitutes the main problem addressed in this study.Purpose:This study aims to develop a Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model to enhance nationalistic attitudes among elementary school students.Design/method/approach:Using a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025, this study identified, selected, evaluated, and synthesized relevant findings on VCT implementation in primary education. Results:Results demonstrate that the VCT model effectively cultivates nationalist attitudes through five structured stages: value stimulus presentation, value exploration, discussion-based clarification, value-based decision-making, and reflection. This model promotes active student participation in value learning, producing deeper internalization of national character than conventional methods. Integration of contextual learning media within VCT further enhances student motivation and participation.Contribution/value:The novelty of this study lies in positioning VCT within a sustainable educational management framework and examining the interconnected roles of instructional leadership, teacher professional development, and strategic resource management in systematic character education. Implications for the Merdeka Curriculum’s Pancasila student profile are discussed.

Abstract

Background: The challenge of sustaining young students' motivation for Qur'anic memorization in integrated Islamic educational settings remains underexplored, particularly regarding institutional strategies within pesantren-based elementary schools. Purpose: This study aims to explore the strategies employed by pesantren caretakers to enhance Qur'anic memorization (tahfidz) motivation among students at MI Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur'an Gontor, Ponorogo, East Java. Design/method/approach: Drawing on a qualitative case study design, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with seven informants including the school principal, tahfidz coordinators, tahfidz teachers, parents, and students supplemented by participant observation and documentary analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, involving data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The findings reveal four principal motivational strategies systematically implemented by the pesantren caretakers: (1) the Tahfidz Excellent Group, which cultivates pride and healthy competition; (2) Financial Incentive Awards for students exceeding memorization targets; (3) Munaqosyah examinations and Hubbul Qur'an graduation ceremonies involving parental participation; and (4) Tahfidz Camp as a supplementary immersive program. These strategies generate tangible motivational outcomes, including heightened memorization consistency, strengthened self-discipline, robust parental engagement, and positive behavioral changes both within the school and home environments. Contribution/value: This study contributes to the growing body of scholarship on Islamic educational management by illuminating how institutional-level motivational architecture within pesantren settings can effectively sustain young learners' commitment to Qur'anic memorization.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the charismatic leadership model in Islamic education based on religious moderation at Ash-Shiddiqiyah Serpong Islamic Boarding School. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with field study methods, collecting data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving pesantren leaders, teachers, senior students, and organizational managers. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three primary dimensions of reconstructed charismatic leadership: (1) moderate prophetic charisma integrating tolerance and national values, (2) value-based transformative leadership fostering collective change through moral exemplarity, and (3) adaptive educational governance accommodating diversity through curriculum flexibility and external collaboration. The study demonstrates that charismatic leadership in pesantren can be institutionalized beyond personal authority by embedding moderation principles into managerial systems and organizational culture. These findings contribute to contemporary Islamic leadership theory by proposing an integrative framework that harmonizes spiritual charisma with modern governance and religious moderation, offering a replicable model for Islamic boarding schools navigating pluralism and globalization.

Abstract

Background: The increasing interest in entrepreneurship among Generation Z, particularly in developing regions such as Bekasi, raises questions about the factors shaping their entrepreneurial motivation and confidence in the digital era. Understanding these influences is essential for fostering young entrepreneurs. Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of social media, risk perception, and social support on the entrepreneurial motivation and confidence of Generation Z in Bekasi. Design/method/approach: A quantitative approach using path analysis was employed, involving 325 Generation Z respondents aged 18-29 years in Bekasi. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0. The analysis included outer model tests (convergent validity, discriminant validity, composite reliability, and Cronbach’s alpha), inner model tests (path coefficient and goodness of fit), and hypothesis testing. Results: The findings indicate that social support and risk perception have a direct and significant effect on entrepreneurial motivation, while social media does not. Entrepreneurial motivation also serves as a strong mediator, through which social support and risk perception indirectly influence entrepreneurial confidence. Contribution/value: This study contributes to the understanding of entrepreneurial behavior among Generation Z by highlighting the mediating role of motivation and the relative insignificance of social media, offering insights for educators, policymakers, and entrepreneurial programs targeting youth.
