Elementary is published twice a year (every six months, i.e. January and July) as scientific communication means of academic people in the study of Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education. Editorial Board receives the articles from the educators, observers, researchers on Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education to be published after having tight selection, peer review, and serious editting.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan metode pendidikan yang diterapkan di Sekolah Dasar Tomoe dalam buku Tetsuko Kuroyanagi yang berjudul Totto-chan: Si gadis kecil di Tepi Jendela. Hasil penelitian ini digunakan sebagai konstruk pengembangan metode pendidikan madrasah ibtidaiyah. Sifat penelitian yang dipakai deskriptif analitis dan jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Metode analisis datanya menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis, di mana data dikumpulkan, diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan masalah yang dibahas dan dianalisa isinya (content analysis). Sebuah data dibandingkan dengan data lainnya, kemudian diinterpretasikan dan akhirnya peneliti membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada enam metode pendidikan yang diterapkan Sekolah Dasar Tomoe sebagai alternatif dalam metode pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, terutama pada titik tekan praktis operasional metode pendidikannya, yaitu: metode cerita, metode pilihan, metode karyawisata, metode ritmik, metode sosiodrama-bermain peran, dan metode demonstrasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti menemukan beberapa proyeksi sebagai pengembangan metode pendidikan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang berorientasi pada: (a) metode pendidikan student-centered, (b) metode pendidikan bertumpu pada aksiologi masyarakat, (c) metode pendidikan pembebasan demokratis, humanis, dan konsientiasi. Hal ini menciptakan tujuan pendidikan yang humanis bagi peserta didik sebagai subyek dan obyek pendidikan, di antaranya pendidikan dan komunikasi antara guru dan murid. AbstractThis study aimed to describe the education method applied in Tomoe elementary school in the Tetsuko Kuroyanagi’s book entitled Totto-chan: The little girl in the side of the Window. The results of this study are used as a construct of development for madrasah education methods. The nature of the research used analyst-descriptive and the type of research is the study of literature. The data analysis Method was using descriptive analytical method, where data is collected, classified according to the issues discussed and analyzed the content (content analysis). One data compared with other data, then it was interpreted and finally the reseacher made a conclusion. The results of this study revealed that there are six educational methods applied in Tomoe Elementary school as an alternative method of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah education, especially on the important point of practical operational methods of education, namely: stories method, the preferred method, the field method, the rhythm method, sociodrama - play role method, and demonstration method. Based on this, the researcher finds some projections as the development of methods of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah oriented: (a) The education methods used is student-centered, (b) the education method is based on the society axiology, (c) liberation democratic, humanist and konsientiasi educational methods. It creates a humanist educational goals for students as subjects and objects of education, including education and communication between teachers and students.

Abstract

The writing of this article aims to reveal the philosophical basis of education according to the philosophy of pragmatism. It also reveals the influence of pragmatism in educational thinking, especially in the method of learning. Pragmatism as one of the educational concepts born in America, provides solutions to educational problems that in their view can not be solved traditional philosophy. Pragmatism tries to reconstruct more practical and down-to-earth educational practices, not long-winded in the metaphysical discussion of things. n practice, pragmatism emphasizes that the foundation of education is experience. Knowledge gained by humans comes from experience, not from innate talent. Truth in the view of pragmatism is a practical consequence. Education in schools according to pragmatism is a place for learners to gain experience as well as experience gained outside school. Education according to pragmatism should also take into account changes in society, because that is where students will return. Learning given to learners does not emphasize systematic teaching materials, but experiences and ways to process them. Problem solving and democracy are the main principles in learning according to pragmatism. By relying on problem solving and democratic, learners will be able to capture and process and formulate the results of his experience well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the steps of developing teaching materials in the form of brochures and know the feasibility of teaching brochure materials in learning Islamic Religious Education in primary schools. The method used Research and Development (R & D) with reference to that developed by Borg & Gall. Development steps are product analysis to be developed (needs analysis), initial product development, validation and revision, small-scale field trials and revisions, large-scale field trials and final product acquisition. Data were collected using interview guides, validation sheets, questionnaires, observation sheets, and tests (pre-test and post-test). The subjects of the study were the fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah SD Muhammadiyah Trini Gamping Sleman. The result of the research shows that the development of teaching materials for brochures is feasible to be used for Islamic education learning. By using teaching materials brochure can integrate the spiritual values in the learning process of Islamic religious education to learners in elementary school.

Abstract

The policy Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republicof Indonesia gives regulatory certainty, especially for the StateIslamic University (UIN) which can open all the courses accordingto its ability. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) and State Islamic College(STAIN) are still constrained by Islamic studies, of course restrictourselves to limit the study area occupied and developed accordingto its status as an institute and a college in Islamic field. Similarly,Tarbiyah faculty or department has a limit on the study of Islamiceducation. Therefore, the development of courses at Tarbiyah canleave problems growing rapidly along with the rapid developmentand society’s demands on higher education services in the field ofeducation and teacher training.

Abstract

Kreativitas sangat berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Untuk meningkatkan kreativitas tersebut, salah satu alternatif adalah mengaplikasikan Students-Centered Learning (SCL) atau pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Penulis menelaah tiga hal, yaitu faktor yang mempengaruhi kreativitas belajar siswa; perencanaan, pengaplikasian dan evaluasi SCL; dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan SCL. Dalam artikel ini, penulis melakukan penelitian pustaka atau library research, yaitu dengan menelaah beberapa referensi terkait dengan pengaplikasian SCL untuk meningkatkan kreativitas siswa MI. Hasil dari kajian menunjukkan bahwa ada dua faktor yang mempengaruhi kreativitas belajar siswa, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal siswa; perencanaan, pengaplikasian dan evaluasi SCL harus sesuai dengan kriteria; dan model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan SCL ada dua, yaitu pembelajaran kooperatif atau cooperative learning dan pembelajaran discovery learning.

Abstract

Education is a shared responsibility between schools families and communities. The purpose of teaching and learning is to create change towards a better state. Learners are expected to transform themselves with reference to subjects who had just obtained. Learning intended to be something that is not known by the students will be known. According to Gagne, changes in behavior as a result of learning can take the form of verbal information, information in the form of verbal mastery of both written and spoken. Intellectual faculties, namely the individual skills in interacting with its environment by using symbols. Cognitive strategies, namely an individual's ability to perform the control and overall management activities. Attitude, namely learning outcomes in the form of an individual's ability to choose the type of action to be performed. Motor skills, ie learning outcomes in the form of skills that is controlled by muscle movement and physical. To support these goals, schools, families and communities must work together synergistically in order to succeed and the realization of effective learning. With the intervention and involvement among the three will certainly be able to support and to support effective learning in school.

Abstract

This research examined the effectiveness of conflictresolution counseling to solve student’s interpersonal conflictin senior high school. The experimental study used randomizedcontrolled trials design with triple blinding include: clien asparticipants, counselors, and pretest-postest administrator.Participants were 24 students with destructive interpersonal,devided into 12 students in the experimental group and 12 students inthe control group. Participants in the experimental group receivedconflict resolution counseling and participants in the controlgroup received counseling as usual. Based on anacova statisticaltest indicated implementing of conflict resolution counseling hasimproved: (1) positive perceptions of the conflict, (2) collaborativeattitude in the face of conflict. It can be concluded that, conflictresolution counseling can help the students of senior high schoolto solve their interpersonal conflicts. Conflict resolution counselingcan be adopted as alternative counseling for interpersonal conflictresolving.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah supervisi akademik yang dilakukan oleh pengawas sekolah dan menjelaskan peningkatan kreatifitas pembelajaran guru setelah dilakukannya supervisi oleh pengawas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pengawas sekolah di Kemenag Kabupaten Demak. Data didapatkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah induktif yang berarti bahwa peneliti melakukan observasi terlebih dahulu baru kemudian ditarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa supervisi akademik dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Supervisi dilaksanakan dengan cara kunjungan kelas, observasi, dan wawancara. Supervisi yang dilaksanakan oleh pengawas berdampak terhadap pengembangan kualitas pembelajaran guru, perencanaan pembelajaran yang lebih matang, kegiatan pembelajaran terorganisir, penggunaan strategi/metode pembelajaran yang variatif, dan teknik evaluasi yang bervariasi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept and implementation of integrative thematic learning in class I of State Elementary School 2 Barongan Kudus. Integrative thematic learning is a learning approach that integrates the various competencies of the various subjects into a variety of themes, so as to provide meaningful experiences to the students. The goal is to encourage learners to be able in observing, asking, reasoning, and better presenting what they gain or know after receiving instructional materials. Objects in learning relate to natural phenomena, social, art, and culture. The application of integrative thematic learning is a learning effort that is oriented at the stage of development of elementary school students who in its development still see everything as a whole unity and only able to understand the relationship between concepts in a simple way. Therefore, through integrative thematic approach students are expected to have a much better attitude, skills, and knowledge competence.
