Abstract

This research aims to explore the rural teacher’s strategy in teaching Higher Order Thinking Skills based on the 2013 curriculum. By using qualitative approach, the researchers collect the data employs non-participant observation in the teaching and learning process, interviewed the English teacher, also documents by collecting the lesson plan made by one of the English teacher in one of Junior High School in Gaung District. The result of this research showed that the teacher used determining learning objectives with the eight characteristics of the lesson plan for 2013 curriculum, teach through questioning with LOTS questions, practice before assessment but it’s not effective, also provide assessment and feedback to develop students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills. The researchers also found that the teacher miss the step of review, refine and improve because she did not collect the students’ feedback. Based on the finding above, the researchers conclude that the teacher has been trying to do the steps to develop the students’ HOTS, but the development of HOTS in the rural area is not reach the expectation of the Higher Order Thinking based on 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of government in preventing acts of radicalism through the application of multicultural education, this study uses library research. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 roles that can be applied by the government in preventing acts of radicalism through the application of multicultural education, namely first offering various curricula received from input from various groups. Second, providing various facilities so that students know about various cultures, Third, providing understanding of various cultures, Fourth selecting material that causes the emergence of acts of radicalism, Fifth minimizing social equality, Sixth maintaining unity and unity, Seventh supporting peace actions, Eighth participate in socializing in preventing acts of radicalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the model of organizational structure in pesantren that have the relationship and an impact with organizational effectiveness. This research is quantitative research with structural equation modeling analysis. Sources of data from 273 managers were collected from 98 various profit and non-profit unit in Pesantren. To analyze data the researcher used a Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) with Smart PLS 2.0 as a tool. The result from this research is correlation result 0,553, it’s mean that there is correlation between organizational structure and organizational effectiveness at middle level. The result from determinant coefficient showed 0,305 (30,5 %) that there is significant effect from organizational structure toward organizational effectiveness in pesantren.

Abstract

It cannot be denied that Islamic philosophical thought was influenced by Greek philosophy. Many Muslim philosophers took the thoughts of Aristotle and were interested in Plotin's thoughts. The development of science from the past until now has also always experienced development, as evidenced by the emergence of figures carrying arguments about different concepts of science, starting from Greek philosophers to Eastern philosophers or commonly called Muslim philosophers, for example, from Muslim philosophers there is Abu al-Hasan al-‘Amiri who constructs the paradigm that science and religion are not contradictory but are related to one another, or in other languages not contradicting each other, in which epistemology is still guided by the Qur'an and Hadith.

Abstract

The study is aimed at seeing how extracurricular Islamic spirituality affects student’s behavior at SMA Negeri 10 Bengkulu. The kind of research that is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The data-collection techniques of questionnaire, observation, interview and documentation. The sample in this study is all of the students who have participated in extracurricular Islamic Spirituality at SMA Negeri 10 Bengkulu. Researchers use probability sampling techniques of simple random sampling. Research data analysis using simple linier regression analysis, F-Test, t-test and coefficient determinations (R2) with help of SPSS 16. The finding of this studies extracurricular activities of Islamic spirituality affect student’s behavior. This is evidenced by tcount of 3,120 whereas  ttable of 2,037 at a significant level of 0.05. Based on these results tcount is greater than the excpectation tchart. Thus, it may be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho is rejected so that there is an influence of Islamic spirituality extracurricular activities on student behavior by 22.8% while the remaining 77.2% is influenced by other factors not studied in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to see whether there is an influence of learning motivation and learning creativity on student achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects in State Madrasah Aliyah in Pekanbaru City. The research method uses quantitative research types using correlational analysis techniques. The population in this study were all State Madrasah Aliyah students in Pekanbaru City totaling 2,042 people. The sample in this study was taken by proportionate random sampling technique with the Slovin formula of 335 people. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire technique, the data collected was analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate the value of R2 (coefficient of determination) or R Square of 0.298 or 29.8%. This value can be interpreted that changes in student achievement by changes in the value of independent variables learning motivation and learning creativity by 29.8% while 70.2% is determined by changes in other factors. The tcount for the learning motivation variable is 8.126 with sig. 0,000 is smaller than 0.05, this means there is an influence of learning motivation on student achievement and the tcount for learning creativity variable is 7,326 with sig. 0,000 less than 0.05, this means that there is an influence of learning creativity on student achievement. It can be concluded that there is an influence between learning motivation and learning creativity on student achievement in Islamic Religious Education Subjects in State Madrasah Aliyah in Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the Sufistic values contained in the wayang Semar character and their implications for Islamic education. Semar is a symbol of guardian and protector, for that his behavior is the same as that of the mursyid. The Sufistic values taught by Semar are shari'a or worship; tarekat or worship of the heart; essence or worship of the soul; makrifat or worship of taste; and mahabbah or holy love -asmarasanta. This indicates that what Semar is teaching is as characteristic of amali Sufism. Then Semar also teaches a sense of eling, sahid/ascetic, patient, and happy or sincere; this is also in accordance with the characteristics of akhlaqi Sufism. While the characteristics of philosophy as described by Semar with his teaching "manunggaling kawula lawan Gusti." The Sufistic values of the wayang Semar character contain philosophical, theoretical pedagogical, and praxis implications.

Abstract

This research analyzes the values of Islamic education in the sacrifice worship according to QS al-Ṣaffāt/37: 100-108 and its relevance to the learning of formal education in Indonesia. The type of the research used is qualitative with text study method. Data are collected through documentation and then analyzed using the content analysis method. The results of the research show that the history of sacrifice worship according to QS al-Ṣaffāt/37: 100-108 is divided into four episodes: (1) hope, (2) examination, (3) passing the exam, and (4) reward. There are eight values of Islamic education found in sacrifice worship: (1) faith, (2) morals, (3) patience, (4) resignation, (5) sincerity, (6) democratic, (7) dialogue, and (8) social. The values of Islamic education in the history of kurban worship has relevance to the main characteristics of learning design and the learning process which consists of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. In addition, it accommodates all values that will be developed in character education.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology requires education practitioners to innove in developing materials that are integrated with technological developments. This type of research is a 4D R&D model with research subjects in Class X MIA.7 SMAN 10 Padang. The results of the study show, first, defining e-mobile instrumental-based PAI material shows the SMAN 10 Padang does not close itself from the development of the times. Second, the design of e-mobile instrumental-based PAI material is presented in two e-book variants, namely: Te-book and Se-book. Third, the test results for the validity feasibility of the material, language, contextual, presentation and  visual aspects indicate is valid. Meanwhile, the model effectiveness test is accepted at 1% significance level. Fourth, diseminate the development of PAI material based on e-mobile instrumental conducted through focus group discussion (FGD) at SMAN 10 Padang and UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.

Abstract

The cognitive ability and the student attitude on the Islamic religious course still low. This study aims to reveal a homogeneity analysis of cognitive abilities towards student attitudes that is the limited level. The proof was done with quantitative approach. The data processing was done manually with mathematical equations. The research location at Senior High School Imelda Medan. The total of 21 student was sampled drawn from the XI-Class. The activities were established from july to september 2019. The Likert scale has been suggested instruments to measure student cognitive ability toward influenced of the attituted. The results shows, all the attribute variables had a homogeneous. This means that the data obtained from respondents have a similarity in size distribution so it is feasible for the next stage of analysis.
