Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan efektivitas active isolated stretching dan passive activity dalam mencegah terjadinya delayed onset muscle soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi; (2) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan efektivitas antara VO2Max tinggi dan VO2Max rendah dalam mencegah terjadinya delayed onset muscle soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi; (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada interaksi antara active isolated stretching dan passive activity dengan VO2Max dalam mencegah terjadinya delayed onset muscle soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan rancangan faktorial 2x2. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan rumus dari Issac Michael, sehingga didapat sampel sebanyak 40 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang penulis lakukan pada penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada perbedaan efektivitas Active Isolated Stretching dan passive activity dalam mencegah terjadinya Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi. (2) Tidak ada perbedaan efektivitas antara VO2Max tinggi dan VO2Max rendah dalam mencegah terjadinya Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi. (3) Tidak ada interaksi antara Active Isolated Stretching, Passive Activity dengan VO2Max dalam mencegah terjadinya Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness setelah olahraga intensitas tinggi. Effectiveness stretching, passive activity and VO2 Max prevent the delayed onset muscle soreness.  Abstract The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine whether there are differences in the effectiveness of active isolated stretching and passive activity in preventing the delayed onset of muscle soreness after high-intensity exercise; (2) To find out whether there is a difference in effectiveness between high VO2Max and low VO2Max in preventing the delayed onset of muscle soreness after high-intensity exercise; (3) To determine whether there is an interaction between active isolated stretching and passive activity with VO2Max in preventing the delayed onset of muscle soreness after high-intensity exercise. The method used in this research is an experiment. The analysis uses a 2x2 factorial design. Based on the results of research and discussion that the authors do in this study, it can be concluded that:(1) there is no difference in the effectiveness of Active Isolated Stretching and passive activity in preventing Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after high-intensity exercise. (2) There is no difference in efficacy between high VO2Max and low VO2Max in preventing Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after high-intensity exercise. (3) There is no interaction between Active Isolated Stretching, Passive Activity with VO2Max in preventing Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after high-intensity exercise.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the competences of Physical Education (PE) teachers make contributions to the quality of learning achievements of elementary school students. It was qualitative descriptive research using a reflective explorative approach. The subject of this study was the result of competence test of PE teachers in Yogyakarta Special Region in 2016. The study involved 60 PE teachers who were subjected to have an FGD (Forum Group Discussion) in some stages. The results show that the average score obtained by elementary school PE teachers in their Teacher Competence Test (TCT) stage II in 2016 was 61.79 for the pedagogical competences, and 60.07 for the professional competences. These results could exceed the national average score of 53.7. Based on the interviews with several teachers, the results of the competence tests had not indicated that PE elementary school teachers could improve the students’ learning quality. The teachers focused more on their preparations to take the TCT as a part of the assignments to the Learning Teacher program they participated in. This study also reveals that the TCT scores did not make a significant contribution to the students’ learning achievements in PE subject. Furthermore, TCT was considered by the teachers as a goal and not as an instrument to improve their competences in the teaching and learning processes.

Abstract

Teknik grab start merupakan teknik start dalam perlombaan renang. Start merupakan penentu keberhasilan dalam perlombaan renang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya mengajar resiprokal terhadap kemampuan teknik grab start. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pra-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 180 mahasiswa, penarikan sampling dengan purposive samping de-ngan jumlah sampel 30 mahasiswa, dalam penelitian ini ada tes awal (pre-test) terlebih dahulu untuk menge-tahui kemampuan awal, adanya perlakuan (treatment) setelah diberikan perlakuan (treatment) diadakan tes akhir (post-test) untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan teknik grab start. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes keterampilan teknik grab start. Analisis data dengan uji-t menggunakan Paired Sample Test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dengan hasil t-hitung sebesar 9,064 t-tabel 1,699. Guna mendapatkan hasil keterampilan teknik grab start yang benar, maka gaya mengajar resiprokal sebagai solusi dalam belajar teknik grab start. Reciprocal teaching style to improve the grab start techniques Abstract:The grab start technique is an important start technique in swimming competitions. Start is a determinant of success in swimming competitions. This study aims to determine the effect of reciprocal teaching style on the ability to grab start techniques. The method used in this research is pre-experimental research. The population in this study amounted to 180 students, sampling withdrawal with purposive sampling with a sample of 30 students used as sampling in this study, in this study there are initial tests (pre-test) in advance to determine the initial ability, the treatment (treatment) after being given treatment (treatment) held a final test (post test) to determine the increase in the ability to grab start technique. Data Collection Instruments using the grab start swimming skill test. Data analysis by t-test using paired sample test with the help of SPSS version 20. The results of this study have a significant effect with the results of the t-test of 9.064 t-table of 1.699. In order to get the correct grab start technique skills, reciprocal teaching style as a solution in learning the grab start technique.

Abstract

Kalsium merupakan mineral utama yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh atlet untuk kekuatan tulang, sendi dan kontraksi otot pada saat berolahraga. Olahraga berat dan berlangsung lama secara progresif akan meningkatkan kebutuhan kalsium. Inadekuat asupan kalsium berdampak terhadap hipokalsemia yang akan meningkatkan risiko terjadinya cedera olahraga. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh suplementasi kalsium terhadap kebugaran dan kesehatan pada atlet Tarung Derajat. Design penelitiannya adalah eksperimental (one group pretest-post test design). Total 21 atlet Tarung Derajat, usia 18-25 tahun, putra dan putri sebagai subjek. Pemeriksaan meliputi, pengukuran: komponen fisik untuk mengetahui kebugaran, anthropometri (berat, tinggi, dan indeks massa tubuh), dan tekanan darah untuk mengetahui profil kesehatan, dan kalsium darah. Intervensi berupa pemberian tablet kalsium sitrat, dosis 1x1000 mg/hari, diberikan setelah makan malam dan selama 35 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah atlet putri dengan hipokalsemia menurun 50%, dari 44.44% (sebelum) menjadi 22,22% setelah pemberian kalsium. Kebugaran meningkat (p0,05), namun tidak terjadi perubahan pada berat (p0,05), indeks massa tubuh (IMT) (p0,05), tekanan darah (TD) (p0,05) dan kadar kalsium (p0,05) setelah suplementasi kalsium. Simpulan: suplementasi kalsium menurunkan jumlah hipokalsemia pada atlet putri, meningkatkan kebugaran, dan meningkatkan secara tidak bermakna kadar kalsium. Sebaliknya suplementasi kalsium tidak berpengaruh terhadap anthropometri (berat dan indeks massa tubuh), dan TD pada atlet Tarung Derajat. Effects of calcium supplementation on physical fitness and health profile in tarung derajat athletes AbstractCalcium is the main mineral that is needed by athletes for bone strength, joint, and muscle contraction during exercise. Strenuous and prolonged exercise will progressively increase calcium requirements. This inadequate calcium intake is having an impact on hypocalcemia and increasing the risk of sports injuries. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of calcium supplementation on fitness and health in Tarung Derajat athletes. The research design was experimental (pretest-posttest without control group design). A total of 21 Tarung Derajat athletes, aged 18-25 years, male and female were the subjects. The examination was physical fitness, anthropometric values, and blood pressure to determine the health profile, and blood calcium. The intervention was a calcium tablet, a dose of 1x1000 mg/day, given after dinner, and for 35 days. The results showed that the number of female athletes with hypocalcemia decreased by 50%, from 44.44% (before) to 22.22% after calcium therapy. Physical fitness increased (p0.05), but there was no change in weight (p0.05), body mass index (BMI) (p0.05), blood pressure (BP) (p0.05)) and calcium levels (p0.05) after calcium supplementation. Conclusions: Calcium supplementation has reduced the amount of hypocalcemia in female athletes, increased physical fitness, and did not significantly increase calcium levels. Calcium supplementation has no effect on anthropometry (weight and body mass index) and BP in Tarung Derajat athletes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan bodyweight dengan Total-body Resistance Exercise (TRX) terhadap Peningkatan Kekuatan Otot. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah members The Fitlab Hotel Tara. Instrumen yang digunakan leg and back dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot tungkai dan punggung, hand grip dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot tangan, dan pull and push dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan menarik dan mendorong otot lengan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan analisis uji t (paired sample t test). Hasil penelitian diperoleh persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot tungkai sebesar 6,88 %, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot punggung sebesar 10,17%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan otot tangan sebesar 10,4%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan menarik otot lengan sebesar 8,67%, persentase peningkatan pada kekuatan mendorong otot lengan sebesar 11,26%. Dengan demikian disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan bodyweight dengan total-body resistance exercise (TRX) terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot yang meliputi peningkatan kekuata otot tungkai, kekuatan otot punggung, kekuatan otot tangan, kekuatan menarik otot lengan, dan kekuatan mendorong otot lengan. The bodyweight training with total-body resistance exercise (TRX) can be improving of muscle strength AbstractThis research aims to determine the effect of bodyweight training with Total-body Resistance Exercise (TRX) to the Improvement of Muscle Strength. This research used experimental research methods. The research design in this study was using one-group pretest-posttest design. The subject of the study is members of The Fitlab Tara Hotel. The instruments that have been used are leg and back dynamometer for measure the leg and back muscle strength, hand grip dynamometer for measure the hand muscle strength, and pull and push dynamometer for measure the pulling and pushing arm muscle strength. Data analysis techniques used hypothesis testing with t test analysis (paired sample t test). Based on the results of the study obtained, the percentage increase in leg muscle strength is 6.88%, the percentage increase in back muscle strength is 10.17%, the percentage increase in the hand muscle Strength is 10.4%, the percentage increase in the strength of pulling arm muscles is 8,67%, the percentage increase in the strength of pushing arm muscles is 11.26%. Thus, it was concluded that there was a significant effect of bodyweight training with total-body resistance exercise (TRX) on increasing muscle strength including increased strength of leg muscles, strength of back muscles, strength of hand muscles, strength of pulling arm muscles, and strength of pushing arm muscles.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) dan Fartlek Training terhadap tingkat VO2 Max Atlet Soedirman Expedition VII. Metode penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan desain two group pre-test post-test design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 20 orang dan menggunakan teknik total sampling sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel 20 Orang. Instrumen Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Multistage Fitness Test (MFT). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Januari 2019 sampai dengan Juni 2019. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah paired t-test dan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) terhadap peningkatan tingkat VO2 Max Atlet Ekspedisi Soedirman VII. Selain itu, ada pengaruh Fartlek Training terhadap tingkat peningkatan VO2 Max Atlet Ekspedisi Soedirman VII, dan tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan antara High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) dan Fartlek Training pada peningkatan tingkat VO2 Max atlet Ekspedisi Soedirman VII, dengan hasil ini maka terdapat pengaruh dari kedua jenis latihan terhadap peningkatan VO2 Max namun tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan diantara keduanya, akan tetapi jika dilihat dari presentase kenaikannya, metode latihan High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik. High-intensity interval training and fartlek training: Their influence on the VO2 Max level Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Fartlek Training on the level of VO2 Max Athlete Soedirman Expedition VII. This research method is a pre-experimental design with two groups pre-test post-test design. The study population numbered 20 people and used a total sampling technique to obtain a sample size of 20 people. The research instrument used is the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT). This research was conducted in January 2019 until June 2019. The data analysis technique used was a paired t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that there was an effect of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on increasing the level of VO2 Max Athlete Soedirman VII Expedition. In addition, there is the influence of Fartlek Training on the increasing level of VO2 Max Soedirman VII Expedition Athletes, and there is no significant difference in effect between High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Fartlek Training on increasing the VO2 Max level of athlete Soedirman VII expedition, with these results there is the effect of the two types of exercise on increasing VO2 Max but there was no significant difference in effect between the two, but when viewed from the percentage increase, the High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) training method showed better results.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah untuk mengungkap secara komprehensif karakteristik psiko-logis atlet atletik PPLP Papua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian seluruh atlet atletik yang tergabung dalam PPLP Provinsi Papua berjumlah 20 (12 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan). Atlet junior tersebut berada pada tingkat sekolah SMP dan SMA (17 SMA dan 3 SMP) dengan rentang usia 13-18 tahun ( = 16,6; s = 1,27). Terdapat tiga belas dimensi psikologis yang akan diungkap dengan menggunakan dua instrumen. Pertama, Psychological Skill Inventory for Sport (PSIS) yang terdiri dari 38 pernyataan dengan lima aternatif pilihan jawaban. Kedua, Inventori Kepribadian Atlet (IKA) yang terdiri dari 48 pernyataan dengan lima aternatif pilihan jawaban. Teknik analisis deskriptif seperti nilai rata-rata, nilai terendah dan tertinggi, serta standar deviasi akan digunakan. Hasil penelitian menemukan motivasi menjadi dimensi psikologis yang skornya paling tinggi yaitu 4,36, kemudian disusul dimensi komitmen (4,11) dan kerja keras (4,01). Terdapat dua dimensi yang skornya paling rendah, yaitu kontrol kecemasan (2,60) dan konsentrasi (2,83). Untuk dimensi psikologis lainnya seperti perhatian, kepercayaan, persiapan, ambisi prestatif, gigih, mandiri, cerdas, dan swakendali berada pada nilai sedang. Karakteristik psikologis tersebut juga didiskusikan cara meningkatkannya. Mental athletes of Papua: How are the psychological characteristics of the athletic athlete? AbstractThe purpose of this study was to reveal the psychological characteristics of athletes from PPLP Papua comprehensively. The quantitative descriptive research will be used in this study by involving all athletic athletes who were members of PPLP Papua amounted to 20 (12 male and 8 female). The junior athletes were at the junior high school (JHS) and senior high school (SHS) (3 JHS and 17 SHS) with a range of ages 13 – 18 years ( = 16,6; s = 1,27). Thirteen psychology dimensions will be revealed using two instruments. First, Psychological Skill Inventory for Sport (PSIS) consisting of 38 statements with five alternative answer choices. Second, the inventory of athletes’ personality (IAP) composed of 48 statements with five options. Descriptive analysis techniques such as average values, lowest and highest values, and standard deviation will be used. The results of the study found that motivation was the most top psychological dimensions (4,36), followed by the dimensions of commitment (4,11) and hard work (4,10). There were two dimensions with the lowest score, namely anxiety control (2,60) and concentration (2,83). For other psychological dimensions such as attention, self-confidence, achievement ambition, prestige, perseverance, self-containment, intelligence and self-control were at a moderate value. The psychology characteristics are also discussed how the improve it.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini difokuskan pada pengkajian berikut: (1) untuk menurunkan perasaan lelah pasca latihan mahasiswa UKM pencak silat Tapak Suci di UMKT, (2) melakukan analisis dan uji coba teknik efflurage dan pettrisage terhadap penurunan perasaan lelah. Jenis pendekatan penelitian ini merupakan jenis pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang aktif di UKM Tapak Suci di Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Setelah data terkumpul, data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil data yang diperoleh ada pengaruh teknik efflurage terhadap perasaan lelah pada UKM Pencak Silat Tapak Suci di UMKT. Hasil data ini membuktikan bahwa pengaruh teknik efflurage dan teknik petrissage terhadap penurunan perasaan lelah pasca latihan pada UKM Pencak Silat Tapak Suci di UMKT. Effect of effleurage and petrissage techniques on feeling decreased tired after training of Pencak Silat AbstractThe purpose of this study is focused on the following assessment: (1) to reduce feelings of fatigue after the exercise of Tapak Suci martial arts UKM students at UMKT, (2) to analyze and test effleurage and petrissage techniques for reducing fatigue. This type of research approach is a type of quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were students who were active in UKM Tapak Suci at Muhammadiyah University of East Kalimantan. Analysis of the data used in this study uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed using regression analysis. The results of the data obtained that there is an effect of effleurage techniques on fatigue in UKM Tapak Suci Silat in UMKT. The results of this data prove that the effect of effleurage techniques and petrissage techniques on the reduction of post-training fatigue feelings in Pencak Silat Tapak Suci UKM at UMKT.

Weight Training adalah metode latihan untuk meningkatkan kekuatan dan kinerja neuromuskular melalui proses hyperthropy, namun juga meningkatkan produksi Laktat, menyebabkan inflamasi otot, meng-gangu metabolisme tubuh sehingga menurunkan performa. Stimulus dingin pada Cold water Immersion dapat mengurangi laju metabolisme, menyerap suhu jaringan lokal, menurunkan kepekaan saraf dan mengu-rangi rasa nyeri sehingga menurunkan resiko terjadinya cidera musculoskeletal dan kelainan metabolisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh cold water Immersion 5°C (CWI5°C) terhadap Laktat pada darah, nyeri otot, fleksibilitas dan tingkat stress pasca latihan berbeban intensitas sub maksimal. Pre- dan Post-test dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kelompok kontrol dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sebanyak 15 sampel kelompok eksperimen diberikan CWI5°C selama 15 menit setelah latihan berbeban, sedangkan 15 sampel kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode Statis Stretching (SS) salama 15 menit. Uji prasarat menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk, sedangkan analisa Bivariate menggunakan Paired Sample T-test dan Independent Sample t-test. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu metode CWI5°C lebih cepat menurunkan Kadar Laktat (t=2.32±0.27, p=0,001), mengurangi nyeri otot (t=5.32±1.07, p=0,003) dan menurunkan stress (t=13.02±1.27, p=0,001), sedangkan SS meningkatkan fleksibilitas (t=17.98±2.76, p=0,001). Dapat disimpulkan cold water Immersion suhu 5°C selama 15 menit mempercepat proses recovery, mengurangi inflamasi otot dan menurunkan stress, sedangkan statis stretching meningkatkan fleksibilitas setelah latihan berbeban intensitas sub maksimal. The effect of cold water immersion on lactate, muscle soreness, flexibility and stress level post-sub-maximal physical exercises AbstractStrength is one of the main components of bio-motor affecting the development of other physical components. Strength training improves strength and neuromuscular coordination, muscle hypertrophy, contrary causes physical stressor, muscle inflammation, produce muscular disease, increases lactate levels, interferes body metabolism, thus decreases performance. Appropriate recovery methods can prevent over-training, musculoskeletal injuries, stress levels. The study examines the effect of cold water immersion 5°C (CWI5°C) on blood lactate, muscle soreness, flexibility, and stress level after high-intensity resistance training. The study design was pre- and Post-test using a cross-sectional approach with the control group. It gave selected 15 samples treated with CWI5°C for 15 minutes directly after high-intensity resistance training, while control samples with static stretching for 15 minutes. The prerequisite test uses Shapiro-Wilk, while the bivariate analysis uses paired sample T-test and independent sample T-test. The results showed there were significant differences between the two groups (p=0.001). The CWI-5 C method recover lactate levels faster (p = 0.001), reduces muscle pain (p=0.003), decrease stress (p=0.002), while SS increase muscle flexibility (p=0.001). We can conclude that 15°C cold water immersion for 15 minutes accelerates recovery, reduce muscle inflammation and stress level, while static stretching increases flexibility after high-intensity resistance training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan profil antropometri, ketersediaan energi, dan kepadatan tulang pada atlet remaja putri berbagai cabang olahraga. Desain penelitian cross-sectional metode consecutive sampling dengan jumlah 54 atlet usia 13-21 tahun dilaksanakan di BPPLOP Jawa Tengah, Klub Atletik Salatiga, Klub Atletik dan Renang Universitas Negeri Semarang. Persen lemak tubuh, IMT, fat free mass diukur dengan Total Body Composition Analyzer. Form 24 hour-food recall, 24-hour physical activity record dan fat free mass untuk mengukur ketersedian energi. Bone densitometer Osteosys SONOST 3000 untuk mengukur kepadatan tulang. Analisis menggunakan uji One-way ANOVA dan uji Kruskal Wallis. Persen lemak tubuh dan IMT cabang olahraga endurance lebih rendah dibandingkan cabang olahraga kekuatan dan beregu. Terdapat perbedaan ketersediaan energi antara cabang olahraga endurance dan kekuatan (p<0.05). T-score kepadatan tulang cabang olahraga kekuatan lebih rendah dibandingkan cabang olahraga endurance dan beregu. Mayoritas atlet memiliki persen lemak tubuh, IMT, kepadatan tulang tergolong normal, dan ketersediaan energi tergolong rendah. Anthropometric profile, energy availability and bone density in adolescent female athletes in various sports AbstractThis study analyzed the differences anthropometric profile, energy availability and bone density of adolescent female athletes in various sports. Per cent body fat, BMI, fat-free mass was measured by Total Body Composition Analyzer. The 24 hour-food recall form, 24-hour physical activity record, and fat-free mass were used for measuring energy availability. Bone densitometer Osteosys SONOST 3000 was used to measure bone density. Data were analyzed by One-way ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis test. Percent body fat and BMI of endurance sports were lower than strength and team sports. There were differences in the energy availability between endurance and strength sports (p < 0.05). Bone density t-score of strength sports was lower than endurance and team sports. The most of athletes classified normal on percent body fat, BMI and bone density, while energy availability was classified low.
