Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui, pengaruh Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik dan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik pada tema peristiwa alam semester genap kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung kota Parepare tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest design ini mengandung satu variabel bebas dan dua variabel terikat. Variabel bebas adalah Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik sedangkan variabel terikat adalah karakter kejujuran dan disiplin. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung Kota Parepare. Sampel dipilih dengan tekhnik purposive sampling, sehingga didapat tiga kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Kelompok eksperimen 1 dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberi perlakuan menggunakan SSP tematik, dan kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan menggunakan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik angket dan teknik observasi. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik observasi digunakan untuk mengungkap perilaku karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik analisis data digunakan adalah Analisys of Variance (ANOVA) dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian ini adalah SSP tematik secara signifkan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik diperoleh p α yaitu p = 0,000 α = 0,05 dengan F = 27,890; dan karakter disiplin peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik diperoleh p α yaitu p = 0,000 α = 0,05 dengan F= 9,294.Kata kunci: Subject Specific Pedagogy tematik, kejujuran, disiplinThe effect of SSP thematic on the increase of characters honesty and discipline of grade 1 elementary school students AbstractThe objective of this study was to determine the different effect between Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) thematic and those are not using SSP thematic on students’ characters honesty and discipline, for phenomenon nature theme of grade I of second semester in elementary school students in the academic year of 2013/2014.This is a quasi experimental research with pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design consisting of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The population comprised year X grade 1 elementary school student in Parepare City Sub-district Ujung. A sample of three classes was established using purposive sampling technique. The first experimental class and second experimental class was taught by using SSP thematic, and the control class was taught using the those are not using SSP thematic. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. The questionnaire technique was the used to know the student’s characters honesty and discipline value. The observation technique was used to express student of characters honesty and discipline behavior. The data were analyzed of variance (ANOVA) test for the significance level of 0.05.The result of this study is SSP thematic significantly positive effects on student’s increase of characters honesty compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p α that is p = 0,000 α = 0.05 with F = 27.890; and SSP thematic significantly positive effects on students increase of characters discipline compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p α that is p = 0,000 α = 0.05 with F = 9.294. Abstract

This research aimed (1) to produce thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery to improve critical thinking and scientific attitude of grade IV students of SDN Margoyasan, and (2) to know the effectiveness of the developed learning module. The research was Research and development of Borg and Gall model which consisted of ten steps. The data were collected by interview, product evaluation, questionnaires, observation, and examination. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test with significant level of 0.05. The research result were (1) thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery. The product feasibility that was assessed based on material expert, media expert, teacher’s and student’s responses was very feasible. (2) The results of field trial test showed that the developed thematic-integrated module based on a guided-discovery was effective to improve the student’s critical thinking and scientific attitude, and it was based on the operational field trial test which obtained p0.05, means that there are significant differences on students who were taught by using the developed learning module compare to student who were not taught by using the developed learning module.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the scientific approach and authentic assessment of the textbook based Curriculum 2013, on the theme “save living beings” for grade 6 students of elementary school such as textbooks published by Puskurbuk, Yudhistira, and Erlangga. The design of this study was content analysis. The instrument of the research was the analysis sheet based on theories. The validity of the instrument and the data was semantic validity and expert judgment. The reliability of the data was stability and reproducibility. The techniques of data analyzing consisted of unitizing, sampling, recording, reducing, inferring and narrating. The results of this study were; (1) The scientific approach contents consist of five aspects: observation, questions, trying, reasoning, and communicating, which are not in order. So not all indicators in every aspect of the scientific approach are found in each sub-theme. (2) Authentic assessment contents consist of three aspects: attitude assessment about social attitude and spiritual attitude, the psychomotor assessment contains only practice, product, and project assessment, and knowledge assessment without oral and assignment assessment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran tematik integratif berbasis sastra yang layak bagi siswa kelas V SD, (2) mengetahui efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran tematik integratif berbasis sastra bagi siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian dan pengembangan mengacu pada langkah yang dikembangkan Borg Gall. Desain pengembangan dikelompokkan menjadi 3 langkah: (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) proses pengembangan, dan (3) uji coba dan finalisasi. Uji lapangan operasional dilakukan di SD Negeri 3 Pancor dan SD Negeri 3 Selong dengan jumlah subjek 102 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar angket, lembar observasi, dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample t Test, dan Independent Sample t Test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran tematik integratif berbasis sastra hasil pengembangan menurut ahli (expert judgment) berkategori “baik”. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan nilai hasil akhir pembelajaran antara kelas kontrol dengan kelas eksperimen setelah menggunakan produk hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran tematik integratif berbasis sastra dengan p 0,05, dan p = 0,002.Kata Kunci: perangkat pembelajaran, tematik integratif, pembelajaran berbasis sastra. DEVELOPING THEMATIC INTEGRATIVE LEARNING INSTRUMENTS BASED ON LITERATURE FOR FIFTH GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT AbstractThis study aims to: (1) produce an integrated thematic learning instruments based on literature, that is eligible for fifth grade elementary school student, (2) determine the effectiveness of the thematic integrative learning instrument based on literature for fifth grade elementary school student. The research and development refers to the model developed by Borg Gall. The design development is grouped into three steps, namely: (1) preliminary study, (2) the process of development, and (3) testing and finalization. Operational field test conducted in SD Negeri 3 Pancor dan SD Negeri 3 Selong subjects totaled 102 students. Collecting data used interviews, questionnaire sheets, obser-vation sheets, and tests. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample t Test, and independent sample t test with significance level of 0.05. The results show the development of learning outcomes-based learning instrument thematic integrative literature according to the expert (expert judgment) is categorized as "good". There are significant differences in the value of learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class after using the learning outcomes of thematic integrative learning instrument based on literature with p 0.05, and p = 0.002.Keywords: learning instrument, thematic integrative, literature-based learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat penilaian yang layak untuk pembelajaran tematik-integratif kelas V SD, (2) mengetahui kepraktisan perangkat penilaian yang dikembangkan, dan (3) mengetahui keefektifan perangkat penilaian di kelas V SD pada subtema Komponen Ekosistem. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D dari Thiagarajan, Semmel, Semmel yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi tiga prosedur pengembangan, yaitu: (1) define, (2) design, dan (3) develop. Subjek uji coba pengembangan terdiri dari SDN Godean 1, SDN Cebongan 1, dan SDN Purwomartani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat penilaian hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran tematik-integratif di kelas V SD pada subtema Komponen Ekosistem layak digunakan, praktis, dan efektif. The research refers to the 4-D model of the development of Thiagarajan, Semmel, Semmel which has been modified into three procedures of development, namely: (1) define, (2) design, and (3) develop. The trial development subject consists of SDN Godean 1, SDN Cebongan 1, and SDN Purwomartani. The results showed that the assessment kits of learning outcomes in thematic-integrative learning in class V SD in subtema Ecosystem Components fit for use, practical, and effective. In addition, the product can also measure mastery learning achievements of learners.Keywords: assessment kits, thematic-integrative learning.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the integrative-thematic content, the scientific approach, and the authentic assessment in the 2013 Curriculum Theme 1 Textbook Peaceful Life for the Grade II Students of Elementary School. This study was a content analysis research using a qualitative approach. The subject in this study was 2013 Curriculum Theme 1 Textbook Peaceful Life for the Grade II Students of Elementary School. Then, the objects of this study were integrative-thematic content, scientific approach, and authentic assessment. The data analysis that the researcher employed consisted of data gathering, sample selecting, data recording, data reducing, conclusion drawing, and narrating. The results of the study show that: (1) most of the integrative-thematic contents in the 2013 Curriculum Theme 1 Textbook Peaceful Life for the Grade II Students of Elementary School have been in accordance with the indicators but the author still make some errors within the contents; (2) the scientific approach that has been embedded into the textbook includes various activities that direct the students to interact with their environment in establishing their own knowledge; and (3) the authentic assessment has been in accordance with the indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Use of the Effect of Synthetic Analytical Structural Methods on the Beginning Writing Skills of Elementary School Students. This study uses a quantitative method with a type of quasi-experimental research. The results of this study found that there was significant use of the influence of synthetic analytical structural methods on the ability to write skills at the beginning of grade 2 elementary school students. This is because the Synthetic Analytical Structural Method is a story approach accompanied by an image that contains synthetic analytic elements. Synthetic Analytical Structural method implementation learning techniques are writing card skills, syllable cards, word cards, and sentence cards, while some students look for letters, syllables and words, the teacher and some students stick to words arranged into meaningful sentences.

Abstract

The study aims (1) to know the resulting development HOTS questions for the materials of human and animal respiratory organs for grade V of elementary school, and (2) to test the quality of questions for the materials of human and animal respiratory organs for grade V of elementary school. This study is a Research and Development (RD) with ADDIE methods (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects were 90 grade V elementary school students. Observation data through interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data from Miles and Huberman’s models, while quantitative data uses descriptive and inferential statistical data to calculate the result of the expert test (material and evaluation experts) and empirical test (validity, reliability, Difficulty index, discriminant index, and deception). The study results stated that (1) the validity of the first test that was classified as valid was 13 questions and 32 questions were invalid, while the second test, which was classified as valid, was 44 questions, and 1 question was invalid. The first reliability has sufficient and low criteria, while the second test has high and sufficient criteria. The Difficulty index of the first and second test items has difficult, medium, and easy criteria. The discriminant index of the first test has the criteria of being insufficient, sufficient, good, and some questions do not have a discriminant index, while the second test has the criteria for being insufficient, sufficient, and good. The effectiveness of the first test distractor had 48,89% functional distractor and 51,11% non-functioning, while the second test had 75,55% functional distractor and 24,44% non-functioning, and (2) quality of question development HOTS from the results of material expert validation and evaluation obtained a value of 84,52% with very feasible criteria. Based on these assessment results, the question development is HOTS is feasible to be applied in school.

Abstract

This research aims to study students’ High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Primary Teacher Education Department of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) viewed from their Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). The research method in this research is a mixed method of a sequential explanatory model. This research was conducted in the Department of Primary Teacher Education at UNNES for students of class 2020 in the Basic Mathematical Concept course. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation, interviews. Analysis of quantitative data in the form of validity and reliability of the instrument was followed by descriptive analysis. Qualitative data analysis was performed by triangulation and descriptive statistical analysis. Analysis of quantitative data found two categories of the level of SRL, namely medium and high levels. The results of the analysis of student answers were obtained: (1) Students with moderate SRL category interpret the questions into Mathematical language, and the way they identified the problem is less communicative, while the students with high SRL category interpret the questions into Mathematical language communicatively; (2) Based on students’ ability to evaluate, students with moderate SRL category have not been fluent yet, while the students with high SRL category have been fluent in evaluating, and (3) Based on their creativity, students with moderate SRL still need more practices, while students with high SRL category have been fluent. The conclusion of this study is the ability to interpret problems and the habit of examining problem-solving carried out into the differences between the two categories.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of online learning using the WhatsApp platform in the Children with Special Needs (CSN) course. This research method was a classroom action research conducted online using the WhatsApp platform. The classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles with the stages including planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 21 PGSD UBT students in semester 6 of the 2019/2020 academic year. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and test questions. While the research instruments used were observation sheets, interview sheets, online learning implementation questionnaires, and test questions. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative. The results of the study showed that the percentage of learning outcomes before and after being given learning treatment using the WhatsApp platform experienced a significant increase and had reached 85% completeness criteria. The online learning through the WhatsApp platform has some advantages, such as ease of use and development of courage in the discussion process. While the weakness is related to the unstable network and the lack of direct experience obtained through observations related to CSN material that requires direct practice in the field. This study was conducted as a contribution to the selection of learning media in a situation of Covid-19 pandemic, which requires learning to be conducted online or remotely.
