Abstract

The problem of this research was how is the characteristic of characters in 9 Matahari novel by Adenita and its feasibility as the lesson of Indonesia literature in Senior High School (SMA). The objectives of this research were to describe the characteristic of characters and its classification in 9 Matahari novel by Adenita and also to determine its feasibility as the lesson of Indonesia literature in senior high school (SMA).The research method that was used in this research was qualitative method. The data source of this research was 9 Matahari by Adenita. Data collecting technique and data analysis in this research was text analysis technique.The result of the research showed that some characteristic of the characters which were included  in this novel, that were clever, generous, principled, spit-fire, authoritative, active, interest, assertive, like to give an advice, pessimist, lover, optimist, willing sacrifice, grateful, smart, tough, strong will, high aspiration, and loyal to the religion. Based on its character classification, (a) the main character was Matari Anas, he was generous, interest, lover, grateful, loyal to the religion, principled, assertive, tough, strong will, high aspiration, optimist, clever, active, and smart. Additional characters were Yati Ayati, she was generous, interest, and liked to give an advice; aunt Erna, she was generous; Hera, she was interest, willing sacrifice, authoritative, and clever; Pandu, He was  interest, and spit-fire; Lena, she liked to give an advice; Mom Hesti, she liked to give an advice; Arga, He liked to give an advice; Dedi, he liked to give an advice, (b) protagonist character was Matari Anas and antagonist character was Biran Anas, (c) static character was Yati Ayati and dynamic character was Biran Anas.9 Matahari novel bu Adenita was suitable to be used an alternative lesson of Indonesia literature in Senior High School (SMA). It was based on the election criteria of  literature learning, it was seen from three aspects, they were curriculum aspect, literature aspect, and character education aspect.being observed from character education aspect, the characteristic of the characters which were described by the author in this novel can be used as a lesson. moreover, the characteristic of characters that can be used as lesson of character education are smart, generous, principled, active, interest, assertive, like to give an advice, lover, optimistic, willing sacrifice, grateful, clever, tough, strong will, high aspiration, and loyal to the religion.Key words: characteristic of characters, classification of characters, advisability

Abstract

The language usage on script of Unila Enginering Faculty students in 2011 is discussed as the problem. This research aims to describe literalness and illiteralness in the language usage on script of Unila Enginering Faculty students in 2011. The result of the language usage on script of Unila Enginering Faculty students in 2011 reaches 2.340, literalness by 2.134 (91%), illiteralness by 206 (9%). In language use, it can be elaborated as follow: (1) spelling, including capitalization, full stop, coma, preposition di and ke by 1.937, literalness by 1.774 (91%), illiteralness by 163 (9%) and (2) effective sentences by 403, literalness by 360 (89%), illiteralness by 43 (11%).Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan bahasa pada skripsi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Unila tahun 2011. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan ketepatan dan ketidaktepatan dalam penggunaan bahasa pada skripsi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Unila tahun 2011. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui penggunaan bahasa pada skripsi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Unila tahun 2011 mencapai 2.340, ketepatan 2.134 (91%), ketidaktepatan 206 (9%). Penggunaan bahasa, yaitu (1) penggunaan ejaan yang meliputi penggunaan huruf kapital, tanda baca titik, tanda baca koma, kata depan di dan ke mencapai 1.937, ketepatan 1.774 (91%), ketidaktepatan 163 (9%) dan (2) kalimat efektif mencapai 403, ketepatan 360 (89%), ketidaktepatan 43 (11%).Kata kunci: penggunaan ejaan, penggunaan kalimat efektif, skripsi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the literary aspect of reading learning in students of class XI SMA Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. Method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result showed that the teacher has done the three stages of learning activities in the planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning of learning components that match the learning scenario, the suitability of learning techniques, as well as the completeness of the instrument while the components that haven't fit the learning objectives as it is less in accordance with the format ABCD, while election material, and the selection of learning resources because it does not match the learning objectives. The implementation of learning activities include learning activities are seen reading, discussion, and presentation. The evaluation conducted by the teachers include assessment results with the techniques of written tests.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran membaca aspek kebahasaan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melakukan tiga tahap kegiatan dalam pembelajaran yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada perencanaan pembelajaran komponen yang sesuai antara lain skenario pembelajaran, kesesuaian teknik pembelajaran, serta kelengkapan instrumen sedangkan komponen yang belum sesuai yaitu tujuan pembelajaran karena kurang sesuai dengan format ABCD, sedangkan pemilihan materi, dan pemilihan sumber belajar karena tidak sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran terlihat aktivitas pembelajaran meliputi kegiatan membaca, diskusi, dan persentasi. Evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh guru mencakup penilaian hasil dengan teknik tes tertulis.Kata kunci: aspek kebahasaan, evaluasi, membaca, pelaksanaan, perencanaan.

Abstract

The problem this research is how to learn storytelling at grade VII C SMP Tri Sukses Natar, South Lampung. Based on the research aims to describe problem of learning storytelling at grade VII C SMP Tri Sukses Natar, South Lampung. Which is focused on the planning, implementation, and evaluatiom of learning storytelling. The research used descriptive method. The sources of research is storytelling learning activities at grade VII C SMP Tri Sukses Natar, South Lampung. Data collection of techniques in study is activity observation learn and student, video record, interviewing, observing, implementation of learning, and evaluation of teaching storytelling. Analysis technique used an interactive model data analysis based on the theory of Miles and Huberman. Pursuant to result of planning, teacher give complete formal RPP. Execution happened two activity, activity learn and student activity. The evaluation, teacher use technique of tes written and practice.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah pembelajaran mendongeng siswa kelas VII C SMP Tri Sukses Natar Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan pembelajaran mendongeng siswa kelas VII SMP Tri Sukses Natar Lampung Selatan, yang difokuskan pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran mendongeng. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah kegiatan pembelajaran mendongeng di kelas VII C SMP Tri Sukses Natar Lampung Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, rekaman video, wawancara, mengamati perencanaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran mendongeng. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data model interaktif yang mengacu pada teori Miles dan Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil pada perencanaan, guru memberikan RPP formal yang lengkap. Pada pelaksanaan terjadi dua aktivitas, yaitu aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa. Pada evaluasi, guru menggunakan teknik tes tertulis dan praktik.Kata kunci: instrumen, mendongeng, pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the forms and factors which cause code switching and code mixing in novel Sepatu Dahlan created by Khrisna Pabichara which published on Mei 2012 and its implication through language learning and literature of Indonesia in Senior High School. The research method which is used is qualitative descriptive. The result of this research is that there are form of code switching and code mixing. The form of code switching consist of internal code switching and external code switching and the causes is factor speaker and factors opponent speaker. Next, the forms off code mixing consist of word, phrase and clause. The factors which caused code mixing only in the speaker background knowledge and languages. The result of code switching and code mixing research can be implicated into Indonesian learning at Senior High School as a learning material in the language skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan bentuk-bentuk serta faktor penyebab alih kode dan campur kode pada novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara yang terbit pada Mei 2012 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat bentuk alih kode dan campur kode. Bentuk alih kode terdiri dari alih kode intern dan alih kode ekstern dan faktor yang menyebabkan yaitu faktor penutur dan faktor lawan tutur. Selanjutnya, bentuk campur kode terdiri dari campur kode kata, frasa, dan klausa. Faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode hanya terdapat faktor latar belakang sikap penutur dan faktor kebahasaan. Hasil penelitian alih kode dan campur kode ini dapat diimplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA sebagai materi pembelajaran dalam keterampilan berbahasaKata kunci: alih kode dan campur kode, kedwibahasaan, pembelajaran bahasa.

Abstract

Problem in this research is how the students ability diary of in writing class VII MTs Al-Hidayah Sri Kuncoro, Semaka Tanggamus. This research aimed to describe the ability to write a diary on class VII MTs Al-Hidayah Sri Kuncoro. The method that is used is descriptive. The population consists of 105 students spread into 3 class. Data collected through diary writing tests. Sample of this reseach consists of 21 students. Results of this study demonstrate the ability of students to write a diary quite enough, with an average score of 6,7. The weaknesss in the student diary lies in the dot and the use of capital letter with an avarage score of 5,1 including less category. While the highest score lies in the aspct of completeness element with an average score of 8,8 and including the category very well.Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana kemampuan menulis buku harian siswa kelas VII MTs Sri Kuncoro, Semaka, Tanggamus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis buku harian pada siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Hidayah Sri Kuncoro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 105 siswa yang tersebar dalam 3 kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Tes Menulis Buku Harian. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 21 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan menulis buku harian siswa tergolong cukup, yaitu dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 6,7. Kelemahan siswa dalam menulis buku harian terletak pada aspek Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan, kesalahan tersebut terletak pada penggunaan tanda baca titik dan penggunaan huruf kapital dengan skor rata-rata 5,1temasuk kategori kurang. Sedangkan skor rata-rata tertinggi terletak pada aspek kelengkapan unsur dengan skor rata-rata 8,8 dan termasuk kategori sangat baik.Kata kunci: buku harian, kemampuan, menulis.

Abstract

Problem discussed in this research is the ability to change active sentence into passive sentence of student class X MA MA Gisting. The research aims to describe the ability to change the active sentence into passive sentence. This research was using descriptive as the research method. The source of data in the research is sentence of student that numbering 35 students. The result of the research stated that the level of student ability of MAMA Gisting in changing the active sentence into passive sentence classified in good category with average score 73,65. The average score per aspect namely accuracy aspect of formation structure of passive sentence 77,22 classified good category and in aspect of language (spelling) the average score is 69,37 classified in quite category.Masalah yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah kemampuan mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif siswa kelas X MAMA Gisting. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian berupa kalimat siswa yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa tingkat kemampuan siswa MAMA Gisting dalam mengubah kalimat aktif menjadi kalimat pasif tergolong pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 73,65. Skor rata-rata per aspek yakni aspek ketepatan struktur pembentukan kalimat pasif 77,22 tergolong kategori baik dan pada aspek kebahasaan (ejaan) skor rata-ratanya adalah 69,37 tergolong kategori cukup.Kata kunci: kalimat aktif, kemampuan, mengubah.

Abstract

Issues discussed in this study was how the level of ability to write short stories in class X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Sample 10% of the total population as much as 253 students which are 24 students. The short story writing skills of students' a class X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo school year 2012/2013, belong to the category of fairly with an average score of 70,67. Score per indicator 1) the theme score of 69,45 category enough; 2 a) the figures that were presented score of 85,58 excellent category, b) the presentation of the character figures score of 64,04 fair category; 3) background score of 65,5 category of pretty; 4 a) a series of events 71,66 category enough, b) the flow of the game score of 66.88, enough categories; and 5) style language score of 71,63 category enough.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tingkat kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/ 2013. Sample diambil 10% dari populasi yang berjumlah 253 siswa yakni 24 siswa. Hasil kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2012/2013, tergolong dalam kategori cukup dengan skor rata-rata 70,67. Skor rata-rata kemampuan siswa perindikator adalah: 1) tema skor rata-rata 69,45 kategori cukup; 2 a) tokoh yang dihadirkan skor rata-rata yaitu 85,58 kategori sangatbaik, b) penyajian watak tokoh skor rata-rata 64,04 kategori cukup; 3) latar dengan rata-rata 65,5 kategori cukup; 4 a) rangkaian peristiwa rata-rata 1,66 kategori cukup, b) permainan alur rata-rata 66,88 kategori cukup; dan 5) gaya bahasa skor rata-rata 71,63 kategori cukup.Kata kunci: cerita pendek, kemampuan, menulis.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the learning process develops the idea into paragraph subject at class X. This study aims to describe the learning process develops the idea into paragraph subject at class X.5 SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung. Research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data source is an activity of learning between language teachers and students totalling 37 students. Data collection techniques used inthis study is observation, interviews, and documentation (photos and video). Data analysis techniques used are analysis of flow models, and performed simultaneously which includes the reduction of the data,the presentation of the data, and draw conclusions. The findings in study are learning implementation plans developed the idea into paragraph subject seen from the activity of teacher and students class X.5 SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung learning year 2012/2013.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses pembelajaran mengembangkan gagasan pokok menjadi paragraf pada siswa kelas X. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran mengembangkan gagasan pokok menjadi paragraf pada siswa kelas x.5 SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah kegiatan pembelajaran antara guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa yang berjumlah 37 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi(foto dan vidio).Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis model alir, dan dilakukan secara bersamaan  yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan .Temuan-temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengembangkan gagasan pokok menjadi paragraf dilihat dari aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa kelas X.5 di SMA Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: gagasan pokok, paragraf, pembelajaran mengembangkan.

Abstract

The research problems in this research  is about the appropriateness of three elements of style (diction, figurative language, imageri) in Andrea Hirata’s  novel entitled Sebelas Patriot as teaching learning material of Indonesian language and literature at first year student of senior high school. This research aims to describe the appropriateness of those three elements of language style as the language learning material in senior high school.  The data of the research was taken by Andrea Hirata’s novel entitled Sebelas Patriot. The research method in this research was descriptive qualitative research design. In which the data was taken by the process of read a whole novel’s content, take a note, and identify the three language elements. Furthermore, the researcher analyzed and concluded the data of analysis result to find out whether or not Andrea Hirata’s entitled Sebelas Patriot can be included as the learning material for Indonesian language and literature at the senior high school level. The results of the research showed that the foreign diction was dominated by the England diction, due to the England football popularity. Nowadays, the term in English football was really familiar with the Indonesian football lovers because those people considered that football was come as the nature of England. Figurative language was dominated by the comparison of figurative language in which simile took the first place in figurative language usage. Meanwhile, antonomasia, paradoks, paralelisme, tropen came as the less usage of figurative language. It can be caused by the aims of the author whose refers to compare the similar things to the comparison object. Imagery in this novel was imagery in vision, audio, and palpability. The most useful imagery was imagery vision and imagery of palpability was the less one. It can be probably caused due to the author’s desire in taking the audience falling for the novel’s setting.  Due to the highly relation of diction studies namely diction, figurative language, and imagery towards the language learning material at first year students’ of senior high school in Indonesian language and literature. Thus, the teacher can use the Andreas Hirata’s novel entitled Sebelas Patriot as language learning material since it provides the diction usage of figurative language and imagery. In shorts, since the learning materials was appropriate to the language and literature in language aspects. It can concludes that Andrea Hirata’s Sebelas Patriot is appropriate to be the alternative teaching learning material of Indonesian language and literature at the first year students of senior high school especially in the intrinsic aspects namely language style.Keyword: novel, appropriateness, element of style
