Abstract

Acid Base Module with SETS Approach to Train Student Critical Thinking Skills. This study aimed to develop an acid-base module with SETS approach to train students' critical thinking skills. The study used Borg Gall Research and Development (RD) method until the limited trial stage. The limited trial was carried out on 12 students of class XI at SMAN 1 Dongko Trenggalek. Then, the developed module was tested for its feasibility based on 3 aspects, namely validity, practicality and effectiveness. The module's validity data was obtained from the results of the assessment from two chemistry lecturers and one chemistry teacher. The module obtained validity percentages of 84.1% for content, 84.17% for presentation and 83.33% for language with a valid category. The module's practicality was obtained from the student response questionnaire results, where the practicality percentage of the module was 98.81% with a very practical category. The module's effectiveness was known from the students’ critical thinking skills improvement based on the pretest and posttest scores and obtained n-gain score average of 0.79 with high category. It is supported by the Wilcoxon test results, which obtained Asymp.Sig 0.05 (0.002 0.05), so that Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that the acid-base module with the SETS approach can train students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

This study aims to see the increase in learning outcomes on the subject matter of the buffer using a literacy-based model in class XI SMA Eria Medan. The study population was all students of class XI MIA SMA Eria Medan, namely nine classes. Each class of students. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The sample chosen was class XI MIA 2 as an experimental class treated with a science literacy-based inquiry model and class XI MIA 6 as a control class treated with conventional models, namely lectures and questions and answers. This study uses test and non-test instruments that have been tested and have been valid. Firstly, the learning outcome data were tested for normality and homogeneity, where the results were obtained by both groups of samples are homogeneous and normally distributed. Hypothesis testing is carried out using the t-test of one party, namely the right side, with the results of this study at a significance level of 4% (α = 0.04) indicating that tcount  ttable (5.0573 1.8568) then Ho is rejected. Thus, it shows that there is an effect of guided inquiry learning models based on scientific literacy on learning outcomes. The walking test was carried out to see the relationship between student activity and student learning outcomes. The results showed that tcount  ttable (0.582 0.294) then H0 was rejected. Thus, a significant display between student activities and student learning outcomes in the guided inquiry learning model based on scientific literacy. The contribution of student activities to the improvement of student learning outcomes in the experimental class was 42.8%.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Student Activities, Guided Inquiry, Science Literacy, Buffer Solutions

Abstract

Lesson study is a learning strategy that emphasizes collaborative activities on planning (plan), implementation of learning (do), and reflection, with the aim of improving the quality of learning, so that students' learning activities and student learning outcomes become good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the activity and student learning outcomes through lesson study. Activities carried out in 3 (three) cycles. Based on the results of reflection and decisions taken by the model teacher, resulting in the application of different learning models from each cycle. It was concluded that in cycle 1 applying the demonstration method, cycle 2 of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning model, cycle 3 applying the TGT model combined with the LCC method. The learning process with the implementation of Lesson Study in Thermochemical material can improve the activity and learning outcomes in the XI IPA class of SMA Muhammadiyah Gubug, Grobogan Regency, 2018/2019 school year. The recommendations of this study are the need for application of other methods in learning Thermochemical content, and comparing their effectiveness. Key word: Lesson Study, Activity, Thermochemistry

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Environment Analogy-Based Discovery Learning to Improve Students’ Environment Literacy and Understanding on Thermochemistry. This research is the result of the implementation of thermochemistry learning based on the reconstruction of the analogy environment-based discovery learning model (DLBAE). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the DLBAE learning model in thermochemical context chemistry lessons at SMAN 4 Jayapura students. The research method is the result of experimental treatment analysis which is divided into two groups (conventional control model and experiment with DLBAE model). The results of the implementation showed that the analysis test of sig (2.tailed) 0.05, indicated that there was a significant difference between the conventional model and the DLBAE model. Based on the acquisition of the average chemical value of the experimental class 77.05 from the control class 64.64. Meanwhile, the percentage of environmental literacy ability is between 80-90%. Student response to DLBAE-based thermochemistry learning was very positive. Based on the results of the analysis, the DLBAE-based learning model is very effective to use, in order to increase understanding of concepts and environmental literacy. Keywords: discovery learning, analogy, environment literacy. Abstrak: Pengaruh Pembelajaran Discovery Berbasis Analogi Lingkungan untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Lingkungan dan Pemahaman Termokimia Siswa. Abstract

This research was conducted in the context of conservation and energy efficiency to get the comfort of an ideal air conditioning system in the Integrated Laboratory of the Center for Technology Innovation, University of Lampung (LTSIT Unila). This situation is achieved by comparing the temperature of the existing air conditioning system with the SNI standard temperature. This energy conservation also aims to ensure the continuity of the activities of building users and working tools that remain within the Standard. On the other hand, there will be convenience for all building users, including in chemistry practicum. The method in this research is descriptive, data collection using survey methods to obtain facts that occur in the field and interpret the data. The results of this study indicate that the variables owned by the environment in the LTSIT building are at the lower limit of the ideal variables standardized by SNI. The initial temperature is at intervals with concertfasi and variable energy efficiency of the environmental system in the LTSIT building can be returned to a comfortable environment variable, where the initial temperature is at the interval (24.4oC-28.1oC) and in the end, the air conditioning system is obtained with room temperature 25oC.Keywords: Conservation, Efficiency, Comfort and SNI
