This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of 3E Learning Cycle (LC 3E) to Improve Concepts Mastery on Solubility and Solubility Product. The population of this research were all students of class XI MIA SMAN 1 Natar 2018/2019. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, obtained XI MIA 1 as the experiment class and XI MIA 4 as the control class. The method in this research was quasi experiment with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The technique of data analysis was the two average difference by t-test.  The result showed an average n-gain concepts mastery in the experiment class and control class each 0.68 and 0.45, the same as the middle category. The result of  t-test showed there was a significant n-gain concepts mastery difference between the experiment class using LC 3E with the control class using a conventional learning. This show that the LC 3E was effective to improve concepts mastery on solubility and solubility product. Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of Student’s Misconception and Intrinsic Motivation in the Online-Collaborative Learning. Collaborative learning in the pandemic situation has some problems to be solved, especially in learning processes. This is done to analyze students’ misconceptions and motivations during online learning. The aim of the study was to assess the collaboration process in online learning by using jumping tasks. This is a descriptive research method using the lesson study approach in SMPN 7 Bandarlampung, meanwhile the subject is the student of grade 7. The instruments of research were used observation sheet and questionnaire. Based on the results of observations of the level of confidence of students associated with misconceptions in the material provided, many students answered confidently but did not understand the concept. Misconceptions occurred not only in students who answered incorrectly and with high confidence, but also in students who answered correctly with the wrong reason.   This means that students only did (wild guess) or guess with origin. In a nutshell, the provision of jumping tasks in collaborative learning has not been able to minimized the occurrence of the misconception and show the intrinsic motivational in moderate and high level. Keywords: Misconception, Motivation, Collaborative Learning

Abstract

Student Worksheets Based on Science Literacy to Practice Students' Arguing Skills on Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solution Subjects. The purpose of this research is to produce student worksheets in training students' argumentation skills on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials that are feasible from the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research uses the 4D research method (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but is limited to the Develop stage. The validity of the student worksheets in terms of content, presentation, language, and graphic aspects obtained very valid criteria with an average percentage of 87.50%: 89.50%; 88.00%; 85.50%. The practicality of the student worksheets is assessed from the student activity observation sheets during learning and student response questionnaires. Relevant student activities obtained very practical criteria with 92.86% at the first meeting and 90.48% at the second meeting. Student response questionnaires got very practical standards with an average percentage in content, presentation, language, and graphics, respectively 97.33%; 96.80%; 93.33%; and 95.83%. The effectiveness of student worksheets to obtain very effective results can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes on cognitive tests and students' argumentation skills tests with n-gain values of 0.79 and 0.85, which have high interpretations. This result is also supported by the results of the Paired Sample T-Test and obtained a Sig value. (2-Tailed) of 0.000 on cognitive tests and tests of argumentation skills. It means there is an influence in the use of student worksheets developed on the results of cognitive tests and students' argumentation skills. Student worksheets based on scientific literacy are very important to train students' argumentation skills. Keywords: student worksheet, scientific literacy, argumentation skills, electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jppk.v11.i1.2022.02

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought changes in many aspects of life, one of which is learning in schools. This study aims to analyze the use of PhET Simulation (Physics Educational Technology) as an online medium in facilitating chemistry practicum learning at SMA Borces Taruna Terpadu Bogor. Qualitative content analysis was carried out on the acid-base solution material. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, class and school observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and written tests. The research was carried out in 3 meetings with a time span of 2 x 45 minutes for each meeting and was observed by 1 observer. During the research students are trained operating the PhET platform by researchers and teachers explaining Acid-Base material using PhET simulation in the classroom. Then at the end of the lesson , the students were given a post - test and the distribution of student response questionnaires after using the PhET media. The success of students is assessed from the Minimum Learning Completeness Criteria (KKBM) with a score of 75. The results of the study indicate that using PhET simulation can improve student learning outcomes and activities in carrying out chemistry lab work on acid-base solutions. Keywords : Chemistry Practicum, PhET Simulation, Acid-Base Solution, Virtual Lab
