Abstract: Enhancing Students' Analyzing Skills on Reaction Rate Topics Using the Guided Inquiry Learning Model. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material in improving analysis skills. The population in this study were all students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 13 Bandarlampung in the 2023/2024 academic year, using purposive sampling technique obtained grade XI 6 as the experimental class and grade XI 7 as the control class. This study used the matching only pretest and posttest control group design. The data obtained were analyzed by calculating the average n-gain score of the pretest and posttest analysis skills. Apart from that, hypothesis testing was also carried out using an independent t-test. The research results showed that the n-gain of analytical skills in the experimental class was in the high category, and the average posttest score for analytical skills in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material is effective in improving analyzing skills. Keywords: guided inquiry learning model, reaction rate, analyzing skills.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.16

Abstract

This research was conducted in November 2023-February 2024 at SMAN 1 Percut Sei Tuan with the aim of finding out: (1) the feasibility of e- learning modules based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on periodic system of elements material based on the BSNP assessment instrument consisting of content feasibility, appropriateness of presentation, appropriateness of language and appropriateness of graphics, (2) practicality of e- learning modules based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on material on the periodic system of elements through responses from chemistry teachers and students. This research was carried out with Research and Development (Research and Development ) using the 4D development model ( define, design, develop, disseminate) which is limited to the develop stage . The initial stages carried out in this research were initial analysis, ATP analysis, and analysis of teaching materials. Then the design and creation of e- learning modules based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) were carried out on the material of the periodic system of elements. The final result of the e- module is converted into a flipbook with the help of the Flip PDF Professional application . Then the e-module was validated for its suitability by 6 validators. After carrying out the feasibility validation stage and the revision or improvement stage, a practicality test was carried out through the responses of 2 chemistry teachers and 31 students. The results of the e- module feasibility percentage obtained in the research were content feasibility of 94%, presentation feasibility of 95%, language feasibility of 96%, and graphic feasibility of 85%, where the four assessments were included in the "very feasible" criteria. ". In the practicality test, the percentage obtained by the teacher was 96% and by the students it was obtained at 90%, with the criterion "very practical". Keywords: E- Module, project based learning, periodic system of elements, feasibility, practicality.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i1.2024.07

Abstract

The development of technology in the world of education is a demand for the curriculum, so currently technology is developing, namely Augmented Reality, which allows its use to interact in a real way with the system. The application of Augmented Reality can be a solution to educational problems that require the application of science and technology in every subject, especially chemistry in chemical equilibrium material. Augmented Reality-based LKPD was developed based on validation results, teacher and student responses. The development method used is the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The data collection techniques used were teacher interviews, analysis of student needs, media and material validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Based on validation carried out on interactive LKPD based on Augmented Reality on chemical equilibrium material, the level of validation by media expert validators was 95% with the criteria "very feasible". And a response test was carried out on students, obtaining a percentage of 76% with the "interesting" criteria. So it can be concluded that overall the interactive LKPD product based on augmented reality media on chemical equilibrium material that has been developed is interesting for students to study for use in the learning process, especially on chemical equilibrium material. Keywords: LKPD, Augmented Reality, Chemical EquilibriumDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13i3.32181

Abstract

Limited teaching materials are often a problem in learning in schools. A module is a specific form of teaching material that aims to guide students in understanding a particular material independently. This study aims to determine the feasibility, student responses and effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning module on chemical bonding material that has been developed. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D model that is limited to 3D with stages namely define, design, development due to limited time. Data collection in this study was through interviews, questionnaires and through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that the learning module developed had a very good level of validity with percentage scores: 91.66% and 93.75% for the presentation aspect, 95% for the language aspect, 93.75% for the content aspect, 91.66% for the e-module design aspect, and 95% for the material aspect. This electronic-based learning module is declared very valid and suitable for use as teaching material in chemistry learning on chemical bonding material. Keywords: Learning Module, Problem Based Learning, Development, Chemical Bonding, and R&D Method.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i3.32677

Abstract:The Effect Of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model On Students’ Learning Outcomes In Buffer Solution Materials . This study aims to: 1) Change the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on learning outcomes of material buffers in class XI MIPA and 2) find out which cognitive domain is the most developed Problem Based Learning learning model in the application of buffer solutions. Samples were taken randomly as many as 32 students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Medan. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument. The ice instrument was carried out 2 times, namely pre-test and post-test. The instrument used was an objective test with a total of 30 questions to test the level of students' cognitive abilities, namely C₁ (knowledge), C₂ (understanding), and C4 (analysis). PBL results show that there is an increase in test scores. Where the average pretest score is only 62.94 while the average post test score is 80.42. Based on this, learning using the Problem Based Learning model is able to increase knowledge of the buffer solution material in class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Buffer Solutions, Chemistry Skills DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.i3.2023.05

Abstract

Anxiety has many impacts on human life, one of which is the educational aspect.  Anxiety during organic chemistry learning is experienced by students. This is caused by several factors, namely emotional, environmental, and assessment factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between anxiety and students' organic chemistry learning achievement. The research method used is quantitative method and correlational research model. The sample was taken using purposive sampling, namely 104 12th grade students majoring in Analytical Chemistry class of 2022. Anxiety data was collected through a questionnaire that had been validated by expert lecturers, then Organic Chemistry learning achievement data was obtained from the final assessment of the even semester of Organic Chemistry subjects. The correlation technique used is Product Moment. The results of this study indicate that anxiety has a negative correlation of -0.273 and a significant relationship to learning achievement with a significance value of 0.005. Anxiety and learning achievement have a weak correlation. Keywords: Anxiety, Learning Achievement, Organic Chemistry.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i3.32318
