Abstract

Strategi pengajaran yang kurang kreatif, seperti memberikan ceramah secara eksklusif, menyebabkan hasil belajar yang buruk. Metode ceramah saat diterapkan dalam materi bangun datar dekomposisi menjadi kurang efektif. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV B pada materi dekomposisi bangun datar melalui model Project Based Learning. Perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi merupakan empat tahapan dari dua siklus pembelajaran yang menyusun metodologi penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif ini. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV B MI Wahid Hasyim Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui Teknik tes berupa pre-test, post-test, dan project. Data dianalisis menggunakan persentase kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 22% pada siklus 1 menjadi 88,9%, yang merupakan peningkatan signifikan. Pada siklus 2, kegiatan proyek menunjukkan ketuntasan sebesar 91%, yang menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran. Pembelajaran berbasis projek mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa serta keaktifan dan kemampuan berfikir kritis. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi dekomposisi bangun datar

Abstract

The aim of this research is to characterize the extent to which the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes in high school chemistry material and the impact of this model on classroom learning. This research employs a descriptive-qualitative literature study methodology, based on the publication of scientific journal articles. The findings of this research indicate that the discovery learning model, when applied in each cycle, will improve learning outcomes, thus indicating that this model may be a substitute for conventional chemistry teaching methods. However, this model also requires reflection, adjustment, and continuous improvement in the learning process

Abstract

Abstract : Developing an e-module based on scientific literacy integrated with Islamic values in chemical equilibrium material is a significant effort to improve students' scientific literacy skills and increase students' awareness of the spiritual aspect. Study This aims to develop an e-module based on scientific literacy integrated with Islamic values in chemical equilibrium material and analyze the quality and response of participants towards modules that were developed. Study This study uses the ADDIE development model. The ADDIE development model consists of 5 stages: analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, in the study, This is limited until on-stage development. Research data was obtained from a validation sheet media expert, sheet validation expert material, chemistry teacher assessment sheet, and response education the e-module being developed. Validation was carried out by two expert lecturers, material experts, and media experts. The quality of the e-module was obtained through an assessment carried out by three chemistry teachers, and a result of 93.3% was obtained in the excellent category. Then, a trial was carried out on 30 students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta to determine the students' responses to the e-module being developed. The test results received a percentage score of 96% in the very positive category. This research shows that a module based on scientific literacy, integrated Islamic values in chemical equilibrium material, is very worth using in the learning process. Keywords: E-Module, Chemical equilibrium, Scientific literacy, Integration of Islamic Values. DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13i1.29524

Abstract

Stoichiometry is one of the materials in chemistry subjects in high school that contains basic concepts to understand other chemical concepts. At the same time, a few class X students need help understanding and even experience misconceptions. This study aims to identify subconcepts that experience misconceptions, the percentage of students who experience misconceptions, and the causes of misconceptions that occur in students. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. The sample of this study was students of grade X MIPA at SMA N 1 Jetis, which was taken based on purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument used was the Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) diagnostic test instrument. The pattern of answers, reasons, and confidence rating from the Four Tier Multiple Choice (4TMC) test results are then processed and analyzed to obtain significant misconception data from students. The results of the research obtained, namely, there were misconceptions in stoichiometric material, especially in the subconcepts of Avogadro's Hypothesis, Proust's Law (Law of Fixed Comparison), Dalton's Law (Law of Multiple Comparison), Ar and Mr, the percentage of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Jetis on stoichiometric material who experienced misconceptions of 25.35% which was classified as a low category, as well as the causes of misconceptions experienced by grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Jetis on the material This stoichiometry comes from teachers, learners, and books. Misconceptions originating from teachers are related to learning methods, techniques, and delivery. Misconceptions originating from students are caused by wrong conceptions of learners, dependent algorithmic phenomena, learners' abilities, and students' interests, which need to be improved. At the same time, the misconception from the book is the existence of inappropriate concepts in the student's notebook. Identifying these misconceptions is expected to be the first step to remediate student misconceptions on stoichiometric material and prevent prolonged misconceptions.

Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar, hasil belajar, serta keterampilan kognitif dan sosial siswa secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta pada mata pelajaran kimia setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E pada materi koloid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari guru dan siswa yang didapatkan melalui proses observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode angket. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh,  diketahui bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di mana pada siklus I rata-rata motivasi peserta didik sebesar 72,23% meningkat menjadi 76,00% pada siklus II. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Learning Cycle 5E menjadi salah satu upaya yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, terutama pada mata pelajaran kimia sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

This study evaluates the jigsaw learning model's efficacy for teaching chemistry. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was the research methodology employed in this study. Data is gathered by documenting every article relevant to the inquiry. Seventeen publications from national journals were used in this study. The research findings led to the conclusion that the jigsaw learning model's efficacy in chemistry education can be used as a response to student issues to improve learning activities, learning outcomes, student motivation, and student achievement—all of which will contribute to raising the standard of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran dan menanggapi minat pengguna Web Google Sites materi sifat koligatif larutan. Menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi). Subjek penelitian yaitu lima peserta didik kelas Xll IPA pedoman angket dan wawancara berfungsi sebagai pengambilan data, menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mengembangkan media Web Google Sites sampai pada tahap pengembangan. Media pembelajaran ini terdiri dari halaman utama, halaman KI-KD-IPK, halaman materi, halaman latihan soal, halaman games, halaman video pembelajaran, halaman evaluasi, halaman daftar isi, dan halaman about us. Dari hasil validasi yang didapat bahwa media ini mendapat kriteria “layak” dengan skor 83% dari ahli materi serta mendapat kriteria “sangat menarik” dengan skor 87% dari lima peserta didik. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran berbasis Web Google Sites dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract : Since chemistry is one of the more difficult topics, student success in the subject is often poor. Using the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament, which combines games and academic competitions to maximize classroom engagement, is one way to enhance student learning results. Abstract

This research was motivated by the misconceptions about teacher learning methods in chemistry subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of Focus Group Discussion method on cognitive abilities and cooperation skills of students on redox material. The research method used is quasi experiment. The results showed that the application of learning with the Focus group discussion method was more effective than the lecture method. Based on the statistical analysis test of the cognitive ability of the experimental class, the average value of the pretest and posttest was 62.79 and 74.85, respectively. In the control class, the average pretest and posttest scores were 61.76 and 69.41, respectively. The results of the cooperation skills analysis test of the experimental class obtained an average value of 63, 35, and 75, 76. In the control class, the average pretest and posttest scores were 29.65 and 38.47, respectively. Overall, the data showed that the application of the Focus Group Discussion learning method was able to improve the cognitive abilities and cooperation skills of students in understanding abstract concepts in redox material. Thus, the Focus Group Discussion method is potential to be applied in other STEM learning materials to encourage active attitudes and critical thinking of students in learning.
