Abstract

Defragmenting merupakan proses memperbaiki struktur berpikir seseorang yang salah agar mendapat pemahaman yang benar. Kesalahan pemahaman tersebut dapat terjadi karena siswa belum mampu mengimplementasikan metakognisinya dalam pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan struktur metakognitif siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah HOTS dan upaya defragmentingnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan deksriptif kualitatif dengan  jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan tes HOTS, observasi, wawancara, dan rekaman video. Proses analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesalahan metakognisi dalam menyelesaikan masalah HOTS yang diberikan. Kesalahan metakognisi tersebut dilakukan siswa dalam mendalami makna dari masalah matematis atau pada aspek memahami masalah dan menentukan strategi penyelesaian yang tepat atau pada aspek perencanaan. Setelah siswa menerima intervensi dan upaya defragmenting didapatkan hasil bahwa metakognisi siswa dalam aspek memahami masalah dan aspek perencanaan menjadi optimal sehingga siswa memperoleh solusi pemecahan masalah matematis yang tepat. Defragmenting is the process of reworking one's wrong thinking structure to get the correct understanding. The missed perception can occur because students have not implemented their metacognition in problem-solving. The study aims to describe the errors of students' metacognitive structures in solving HOTS problems and their defragmenting efforts. Research methods are used qualitatively descriptively with the number of subjects as many as 30 students. The data collection technique used uses HOTS tests, observations, interviews, and video recordings. The process of analysis of research data is carried out with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The results showed that students experienced metacognition errors in resolving a HOTS problem. Metacognition errors are made by students in exploring the meaning of mathematical problems or on aspects of understanding problems and determining appropriate solution strategies or on planning aspects. After students receive intervention and defragmenting, efforts obtain the result that the student's metacognition in aspects of understanding the problem and aspects of planning becomes optimal to acquire the right mathematical problem-solving solution.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan desain quasi eksperimental ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efek strategi pembelajaran make a match dan teams games tournament (TGT), serta keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Colomadu Sampel penelitian diambil dua kelas yang diberi perlakuan dengan strategi make a match dan TGT. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji anava dua jalan dengan sel tak sama menunjukkan hasil bahwa strategi pembelajaran make a match memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik  terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa dibandingkan dengan strategi pembelajaran TGT. Keaktifan belajar siswa berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, semakin aktif siswa dalam belajar semakin baik juga hasil belajar matematika yang diperoleh. Tidak adanya interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dan bahan pertimbangan guru matematika dalam menentukan strategi pembelajaran yang akan digunakan khususnya strategi pembelajaran make a match dan strategi pembelajaran TGT. Research with a quasi-experimental design aims to determine the differences in the effects of the make a match learning strategy and teams games tournament (TGT), as well as student learning activities on students' mathematics learning outcomes carried out. The population of this study were all students of class VIII at SMP N 1 Colomadu. Research sample of 2 classes that treated with make a match strategy and TGT strategy. The sampling technique selected using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques with the method of tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Hypothesis testing using the two-way ANOVA test with unequal cells showed that the make a match learning strategy had a better effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes than the TGT learning strategy. Student learning activity affects students' mathematics learning outcomes, the more active students are in learning, the better the mathematics learning outcomes they get. There is no interaction between learning strategies and student learning activities on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference and consideration for mathematics teachers in determining the learning strategies to be used, especially the make a match learning strategy and the TGT learning strategy.

Abstract

Students' Mathematical Resilience when learning mathematics online during the Covid 19 pandemic must be identified. The goal is to ensure online learning does not harm students' mathematics learning outcomes. Various studies on students' mathematical resilience in offline mathematics learning have identified that mathematical resilience affects students' mathematical performance. This study investigated the resilience of students perceived by students, as well as those observed by teachers during online mathematics learning during the covid 19 pandemic. Research data were obtained from 22 students who studied math online. Using an open questionnaire and interviews, the data were analyzed. It was revealed that students had difficulties in understanding math material and completing tasks given by the teacher. It was also revealed that teachers had difficulty assessing students' mathematics learning outcomes objectively and transparently. Students also find it difficult to get support in online mathematics learning from teachers and families. Students find it difficult to adapt, low interest and motivation during online mathematics learning, even the teacher's limitations in controlling students' online learning strategies.

Abstract

The questions asked by the teacher affect students' thinking processes. So, it is necessary to do research that aims to describe what types of questions can provoke students to behave critically. The research subjects were 40 junior high school students around a coffee plantation in Jember, Indonesia. The data collection methods in this study were (1) test, (2) observation, and (3) interview. Each test was given two questions that meet the criteria for critical thinking behavior with the theme of coffee. The test is given at the end of mathematics lessons every Monday. Observations focused on three critical thinking behaviors, namely truth-seeking, open-mindedness, and inquisitiveness. Interviews were conducted at the end of the activity, namely after five learning meetings.  There are two findings in this research. First, junior high school students around coffee plantations are accustomed to truth-seeking, open-mindedness, and inquisitiveness in responding to questions from teachers. The habit of students in responding to teacher questions begins at the third meeting in learning. Second, there are three types of questions that can provoke students to behave critically. The three types of questions are questions that require students to construct concepts, principles, and procedures.Soal-soal yang diberikan oleh guru selama pembelajaran di kelas mempengaruhi proses berpikir siswa. Sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis pertanyaan apa yang dapat menstimulus siswa untuk berperilaku kritis. Subjek penelitian adalah 40 siswa SMP di sekitar perkebunan kopi di Jember, Indonesia. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah (1) metode tes, (2) metode observasi, dan (3) metode wawancara. Setiap tes diberikan dua soal yang memenuhi kriteria perilaku berpikir kritis dengan tema kopi. Soal yang diajukan merupakan soal yang menitikberatkan pada konstruksi konsep, prinsip, dan prosedur dalam matematika. Tes diberikan pada akhir pelajaran matematika setiap hari Senin. Pengamatan difokuskan pada tiga perilaku berpikir kritis, yaitu pencarian kebenaran, keterbukaan pikiran, dan rasa ingin tahu. Wawancara dilakukan pada akhir kegiatan yaitu setelah lima kali pertemuan pembelajaran. Ada dua temuan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, siswa SMP di sekitar perkebunan kopi terbiasa mencari kebenaran, memiliki pemikiran terbuka, dan rasa ingih tahu dalam menjawab pertanyaan dari guru. Kebiasaan siswa dalam menanggapi pertanyaan guru dimulai pada pertemuan ketiga dalam pembelajaran. Kedua, ada tiga macam soal yang dapat menstimulus siswa untuk berperilaku kritis. Ketiga jenis soal tersebut merupakan soal yang menuntut siswa untuk menyusun konsep, prinsip, dan prosedur.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar Kalkulus 1 yang berorientasi pada UoS serta sesuai dengan kurikulum di Jurusan Matematika UIN Walisongo. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa jurusan Matematika UIN Walisongo Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan kuesioner. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar Kalkulus 1 di jurusan Matematika UIN walisongo adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan Sadiman. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi dan pengujian buku ajar kepada mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika UIN Walisongo Semarang, diperoleh bahwa buku ajar yang dihasilkan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Kata kunci: buku ajar; kalkulus 1; unity of sciences AbstractThis development research aims to produce a Calculus 1 textbook that is oriented towards UoS and is in accordance with the curriculum at the Mathematics Department of UIN Walisongo Semarang. The Research subject are the students of Mathematics Department of UIN Walisongo Semarang. Data collection techniques for this research is by questionnaires. Next, data are analyzed by qualitative data analysis techniques and quantitative data analysis tecniques. The research method used to develop the Calculus 1 textbook in the Mathematics Department of UIN Walisongo is Research and Development (R&D), with the Sadiman development model. Based on the results of the validation test and textbook testing for students of the Mathematics Department of UIN Walisongo Semarang, it was found that the resulting textbook was very feasible to use.  Keywords: calculus 1; textbook; unity of sciences

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking ability is certainly different for each student based on their initial mathematical abilities. Virtual learning has become the main learning process during a pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze how students' creative thinking skills on SPLTV material through virtual learning were based on students' initial mathematical abilities. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Malahayati Islamic School totaling 149 students, which were then taken 3 students based on their initial mathematical abilities. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis in this study is to describe the results of student interviews and answers. Checking the validity of the data using data triangulation techniques. The results showed that students with high and moderate initial abilities had mathematical creative thinking skills from the ground up and needed to be honed again. Meanwhile, students with low initial ability cannot think creatively at all. Learning in virtual classes greatly affects the learning process, especially student learning outcomes. So that mathematical creative thinking skills are strongly influenced by students' initial mathematical abilities and student learning processes.

Abstract

Pada sekolah SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro, terdapat beberapa hal yang ditemukan diantaranya adalah karena tidak terlalu berfungsinya bahan ajar yang digunakan disekolah yakni berupa buku cetak. Penggunaan buku cetak dalam pembelajaran cukup sulit untuk digunakan saat pembelajaran daring karena penggunaan bahasa dari buku tersebut sulit untuk dipahami peserta didik. Begitu pun contoh soal yang tersaji kurang banyak, sehingga peserta didik kurang memahami materi dan latihan soal yang ada. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual (Contextual Teaching And Lerning) disertai QR Code pada materi logaritma kelas X yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 6 orang. Dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini, produk yang dihasilkan harus divalidasi terlebih dahulu, kemudian dilakukan uji coba terbatas. Hasil rata-rata dari validasi ahli materi sebesar 86,43% termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid, selanjutnya untuk hasil rata-rata validasi ahli media sebesar 90% sehingga termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Adapun untuk uji coba kepraktisan modul memperoleh rata-rata 87,95% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan kriteria yang diterapkan maka modul matematika berbasis pendekatan kontekstual (Contextual Teaching And Lerning) disertai QR Code pada materi logaritma kelas X dinyatakan layak dan praktis untuk digunakan.At SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro, several things were found, including the lack of functioning of the teaching materials used in schools, namely in the form of printed books. The use of printed books in learning is quite difficult to use when learning online because the use of the language of the book is difficult for students to understand. Likewise, there are not many examples of questions presented, so that students do not understand the material and practice questions. This research and development aims to produce teaching materials in the form of mathematics modules based on a contextual approach (Contextual Teaching And Learning) accompanied by a QR Code on logarithmic material for class X that meets valid and practical criteria. This development uses the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The subject of this research is class X IPA 1 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Metro with a total of 6 students. In this research and development, the resulting product must be validated first, then a limited trial is carried out. The average results of material expert validation of 86.43% are included in the very valid category, then for the media expert validation average results of 90% so that they are included in the very valid category. As for the practicality of the module, it obtained an average of 87.95% in the very practical category. Based on the criteria applied, the mathematics module based on a contextual approach (Contextual Teaching and Learning) accompanied by a QR Code on logarithmic class X material is declared feasible and practical to use.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah non-rutin merupakan salah satu aspek dari pengetahuan konten matematika yang harus dimiliki oleh calon guru matematika (MCGM). Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah non-rutin dari MCGM  pada topik segiempat berdasarkan kategori nilai mata kuliah geometri. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dilakukan pada 10 MCGM  yang merupakan mahasiswa semester 8 yang akan melaksanakan tugas akhir penelitian (skripsi) topik segiempat, pada salah satu universitas swasta di Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pemecahan masalah non-rutin, observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan triangulasi data. Faktor lupa rumus dan konsep tentang topik segiempat, kesalahan algoritma dan rendahnya penalaran menjadi penyebab dalam ketidakmampuan MCGM dalam pemecahan masalah non-rutin. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah non rutin dari MCGM kurang. Berdasarkan tahapan pemecahan masalah Polya, MCGM dengan kategori nilai mata kuliah geometri tinggi kesulitan pada tahapan ke-3 (menjalankan rencana). MCGM dengan kategori nilai mata kuliah geometri sedang dan rendah  kesulitan pada tahapan ke-2 (menyusun rencana) dan ke-3 (menjalankan rencana).Non-routine problem solving is one aspect of mathematics content knowledge, and must be possessed by pre-service mathematics teachers (PSMTs). The purpose of this study was to analyze the non-routine problem-solving abilities of PSMTs on quadrilateral topic based on score of plane geometry course category .Research methods used qualitative descriptive with a case study approach conducted at 10 PSMTs who were students in the 8th semester, who would conduct research final project (thesis) on quadrilateral topics, at one of the private universities in West Java. The instruments used were non-routine problem solving tests, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique was done by data triangulation. The forgetting factor of formulas and concepts about quadrilateral topics, algorithmic errors and low reasoning are the causes of PMSTs inability to solve non-routine problems. Conclusion of this research is the non-routine problem solving ability of PMSTs was lacking. Based on the stages of mathematical problem solving Polya’s, PMSTs with high score of plane geometry course difficulties on stage 3 (carrying out the plan). PMSTs with category medium and low score of plane geometry courses have difficulty on stages 2 (devising a plan) and 3 (carrying out the plan).

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan Bangun Ruang sisi lengkung di kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Makassar dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: Buku Siswa, Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LKS), Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah12 Makassar, dan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas IX dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang. penelitian ini, hanya dilakukan ujicoba terbatas sehingga masih perlu dikembangkan untuk mengukur efektivitas pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan bangun ruang sisi lengkung di kelas IX SMP dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini menggunakan model Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) tahap, yaitu pendefinisian, perancangan pengembangan danpenyebaran. Instrumen yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini berupa RPP, LKS, dan Buku Siswa yang sudah di validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi Buku Siswa, LKS, dan RPP berada pada kriteria valid, sehingga dapat di gunakan; (2) skor rata-rata pada tes hasil belajar berada pada skor sedang yaitu;9,09%dengan standar deviasi 1,36% dari skor ideal 100, dengan siswa sebanyak 22 orang (2) aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru cenderung positif; (3) respon siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran yang di buat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika cenderung positif; dan (4) siswa aktif dan kreatif mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran. Dari hasil penelitian di atas dapat di simpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education Pokok Bahasan bangun ruang siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 12 makassar maka kesiapan dan pemahaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dapat berkembang dengan baik

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika berdasarkan teori pemrosesan informasi ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat desktiptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara.Teknik analisis data yaitu  pertama pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan terakhir penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah tes GEFT sebagai tes penentuan calon subjek penelitian, tes tertulis berupa soal cerita, dan pedoman wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent (FI) dan 2 siswa yang memilki gaya kognitif field dependent (FD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informasi berupa soal cerita yang diterima siswa FI dan FD masuk ke sensory register melalui indra penglihatan. Siswa FI dan FD mampu memberi attention (perhatian) terhadap soal sehingga muncul perception (pendapat) tentang konsep/rumus dan mengaplikasikannya di short term memory. Saat retrieval (pemanggilan kembali) konsep yang dibutuhkan darilong term memorysiswa FD banyak mengalami kesulitan, sehingga terdapat siswa FD yang tidak mampu mengaplikasikan konsep yang dibutuhkan di short term memory. Faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa lebih banyak muncul dari dalam diri siswa dan lebih sedikit muncul dari luar diri siswa.The purpose of this study was to describe students' difficulties in solving math story problems based on information processing theory in terms of students' cognitive styles. This research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using written tests and interviews. The data analysis technique is the first data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and finally drawing conclusions or verification. The instruments in this study were the GEFT test as a test for determining prospective research subjects, a written test in the form of story questions, and interview guidelines. The subjects in this study consisted of 2 students who had a field independent cognitive style (FI) and 2 students who had a field dependent cognitive style (FD). The results showed that information in the form of story questions received by FI and FD students entered the sensory register through the sense of sight. FI and FD students are able to pay attention to the questions so that their perception about the concept/formula appears and apply it in short term memory. When retrieval (recall) the required concepts from long term memory FD students experience many difficulties, so there are FD students who are not able to apply the concepts needed in short term memory. Factors causing student difficulties arise more from within students and less from outside students.
