Abstract

The aim of developing student worksheets based on Problem-Based Learning are appropriate, effective, and practical respiratory system material to help participants learn in the learning process. This research is a research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research instrument uses interview sheets, questionnaires, validation sheets, and tests. Data analysis techniques are carried out quantitatively and qualitativelyThe purpose of quantitative data analysis is to determine the degree of feasibility, practicality and effectiveness. Meanwhile, quantitative analysis consists of finding comments, criticisms, suggestions and observations. The result of the study shows that the worksheets of the students based on the problem-based study developed by 82% (media expert) are correct and feasible. 100% (Subject Matter Expert) and 100% (Language Expert), Student Worksheets are also graded on Teacher Answer Sheet achievement with 90.91% and Student Answer with 93%. Student worksheets are also considered effective if a total N-Gain of 0.76 is achieved in the high category. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the student worksheet is Problem-Based Learning that has been developed is declared feasible, practical, and effectively used in the learning process. The developed student worksheets can improve the learning activities of students and teachers can use student worksheets as teaching materials in the learning process. Kata kunci: Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Problem Based Learning, Sistem Pernapasan

Abstract

A module is a complex learning medium, which contains basic learning activities. An environmental change module that is integrated with Islamic values is needed because Islamic values make students aware of the importance of keeping the environment clean. Based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, this research aims to determine the feasibility of an environmental change module that is integrated with Islamic values. The ADDIE development research model was applied in this research. The validation sheet is used to determine the validity of the model. The validity of the module obtained a percentage of 100% on the material component, 88% on the media component, and 95.8% on the Islamic integrity component. Teacher and student questionnaire answers are used to find out how practical the module is. Practical teacher response was 97.2% and student response was 88%. The effectiveness of the module is obtained through pretest and posttest assessment questionnaires and attitudes. The pretest and posttest effectiveness results obtained an n-Gain value of 0.80 with a percentage of 80% and effectiveness through attitude assessment obtained an average value of 90. With these results, the module was declared suitable for use. Therefore, it is hoped that this module can be used in educational and scientific media in the future.

Abstract

Environmental literacy is a person's conscious attitude in protecting the environment so that the balance is maintained. The impact of the environmental approach in learning can bring out students' curiosity about the environment around them, for example through textbooks. The phenomenon of textbooks, especially biology, needs to be reviewed to adapt to the current context, namely the issue of environmental damage. However, in reality biology textbooks do not provide a portion in instilling environmental literacy so that students' environmental literacy is low. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of aspects of environmental literacy in class X high school biology textbooks, to find out whether the class X high school biology textbooks support environmental literacy-based learning, to analyze the scope of environmental literacy in class X high school biology textbooks. Research This is a descriptive study, using a quantitative approach to analyze the Biology textbooks for class X SMA published by Erlangga and Yudhistira. The object of this study was the even semester material in class X high school biology textbooks and the subject of this research was the class X high school biology textbook published by Erlangga and Yudhistira. Selection of research subjects using purposive sampling. The data collection technique used was observation and the instrument used in this study was an observation sheet to analyze the content of aspects of environmental literacy in class X high school biology textbooks on even semester material. This instrument uses a guttman rating scale with intervals (yes/no). The data analysis technique performed in this study used a quantitative descriptive technique. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of environmental literacy textbooks for class X high school biology used in the city of Yogyakarta was in the low category. In the odd semester, textbook publisher A achieved a score of 24% and textbook publisher B achieved a score of 23.6%. Whereas in the even semester class X biology book the level of environmental literacy is also in the low category. The percentage in textbooks of publisher A was obtained by a percentage of 21% and for textbooks by publisher B was obtained by a percentage of 37%. The aspect that appears the most is the aspect of environmental knowledge, while the aspect that appears the least is the aspect of attitude.Kata kunci: Literasi Lingkungan, Buku Ajar, Biologi

Abstract

This development research aims to (1) produce a module based on ADIS (Argument-Driven Inquiry with Scaffolding) on material on the human reproductive system class IX in junior high school that is suitable for use. (2) to find out the students' responses to the ADIS-based module (Argument-Driven Inquiry With Scaffolding) on the material of the human reproductive system class IX SMP. This research was conducted at junior high school PGRI 1 Sukadana, East Lampung. This type of research is development research with the development model used by ADDIE, the data collection stage (analysis), the design stage (design), and the development stage (development). the stage of application of teaching materials (implementation), and the stage of feedback (evaluation). The types of data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. The data collection instruments used in this study were interview sheets, product validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Based on the validation results of module experts it was declared very feasible with a percentage of 85% which was accumulated from an average validation of design experts of 80%, an average validation of material experts of 87%, and validation of linguists 92% with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the practicality test, the module was stated to be very practical with an average percentage of 91.67%. So it can be concluded that the ADIS (Argument-Driven Inquiry With Scaffolding) based module on the material of the human reproductive system has been declared very feasible and very practical.

Abstract

Aphrodisiacs are substances that function as stimulants to increase sexual behavior. Some plants that have been studied as aphrodisiacs. Based on this background, it is necessary to research The aphrodisiac effect of a solution of nutmeg (myristica fragrans houtt.) on the behavior of mice (Mus musculus).  This type of research was a qualitative descriptive study consisting of five groups, each with three repetitions. There were 30 mice and each group had 6 mice. The parameters observed were calculating the total percentage of approach (introducing), riding (climbing), and coitus (coitus). The data in this study are descriptive qualitative where the results show an aphrodisiac effect. The primary data were then analyzed descriptively by the research objectives, while the quantitative data were processed by tabulation. Based on the results of the introducing activity study the K2 treatment (0.93 times) was greater than the other treatments, although the value was still small. The results of the research on climbing activity in the K2 treatment (0.55 times) were greater than the other treatments. The absence of aphrodisiac activity (coitus) in this study indicated a slow response to sexual activity, requiring a longer time to respond to female mice that were in estrus.              Kata kunci:  Aprodisiak, Biji pala, Sumber Belajar

Abstract

Education today is more directed at mastering 21st century skills, namely learning and innovation skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytics. Qualitative research is a research procedure that produces data in the form of speech, and behavior that can be observed or written. This research aims to describe the implementation of 21st-century skills in preparing lesson plans, implementing learning, and describing the implementation of 21st-century skills in evaluating science learning at State Middle Schools in Tempe sub-district. Based on the results of reviewing the RPP documents at Tempe District Public Middle School and the results of interviews conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the implementation of 21st-century skills has been implemented at Sengkang 1 Public Middle School and Sengkang 3 Public Middle School, especially in science subjects. 21st-century skills have been outlined in every aspect of the RPP, implementation of learning, and assessment of learning outcomes. This implementation has a positive impact on teachers and students involved in implementing 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Socioscientific issues are controversial issues about social problems that have relevance to science. This study aims to determine whether socio-scientific issues in biotechnology lessons Class XII Biology Textbooks used at MAN 2 Medan have met the socio-scientific quality criteria for science learning. There are five quality criteria for socio-scientific issues are authentic, relevant, evaluation, open discussion, and related to science and technology. This research is a type of descriptive research that uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study are observation methods and providing socio-scientific issue analysis sheets. The results of this study show that there are three socio-scientific issues in biotechnology lessons in biology textbooks. The three socio-scientific issues are about cell transplantation from pigs to humans, the problem of human clones, and the problem of transgenic plants.  Based on the results of data analysis of the three socio-scientific issues, it shows that the quality of Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) for science learning is obtained at a percentage of 80% or good category, so that these socio-scientific issues are feasible to be applied in biology learning. Kata kunci: Analisis, Buku Teks Biologi, Kualitas Isu Sosio-Saintifik

Abstract

From the results of interviews with teachers at the IT Baitul Qur'an junior high school, information was obtained that in carrying out learning, teachers used textbooks and worksheets to convey the sub-material of additives. However, these teaching materials have several shortcomings, such as material that is difficult to understand, explanations that are incomplete, and do not display information or examples on the material being explained. This research aims to produce a pocket book media based on the ethnobotany of the Malay tribe of West Kalimantan on the sub-material of additives for class VIII junior high school. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), with the Alessi and Trolip development model. This research stage has three stages, namely planning, design and development. The results of the research show that the pocket book media based on the ethnobotany of the West Kalimantan Malay tribe that was developed obtained a feasibility score on the media aspect of 92.50% (very valid), the material aspect of 91.67% (very valid), and the linguistic aspect of 90.48 % (very valid). Meanwhile, the results of students' responses to the pocket book based on ethnobotany of the Malay tribe of West Kalimantan obtained a score of 90.14% with very strong criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ethnobotany-based pocket book media that was developed is very suitable for use and received a positive response from students.

Abstract

The campus environment of FKIP ULM Banjarmasin consists of various plant families, one of which is the Myrtaceae family. Differences in plant families and species can affect the type of plant stomata. The type of stomata can be used to add data about phylogenetic systematics in plants. This study aims to describe the types of stomata of Mytaceae plants in the Campus Environment of FKIP ULM Banjarmasin. The research started from September 2022 to December 2022. The Myrtaceae leaf sampling technique was carried out using cruise methods. Stomata-type data collection method using a light microscope. The research data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The results of the study found 2 types of stomata from 7 species of Myrtaceae plants namely: anomocytic/ranunculaceous stomata type found in Syzygium malaccense and Syzygium aqueum white fruit and parasitic/rubiaceous stomata type found in red fruit Syzygium aqueum, Syzygium jambos, Syzygium oleana, Psidium guajava, and Syzygium polyanthum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Treffingers’s learning model on the creative thinking ability of MAS PAB 1 Sampali students on environmental change material. The time of research was carried out in November. The research site is at Jalan Pasar Hitan Number 69 Sampali, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population of this study consisted of students of class X IPA MAS PAB 1 Sampali. The sample of this study consisted of 26 students for the experimental class and 26 for the control class. The data acquisition technique used is testing. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of the students in the experimental class that used the Treffinger learning model was higher than the control class that used traditional learning. This means that the creative thinking ability of the experimental class is 8.46. While the control is 7.77. These data are supported by statistical analysis where t cout = 2.155. Looking at the test criteria for 5% level we get t-table = 2.006 where the t-test criteria are more significant than t-table = 2.155 > 2.006 so H0 is rejected i.e. Ha is accepted.
