Abstract

Research to describe the prevalence of Pteridophyta species in the Kakaha Forest of Praiwitu Village, East Sumba, and to explain how Pteridophyta species are used as subjects of biological instruction in the form of textbooks. The data collection technique was carried out using a purposive sampling method, namely by making transect lines in several locations representing Ptedirophyta plants in the Kakaha Forest, Praiwitu Village. Data from this study will be analyzed descriptively, and samples will be identified based on morphological characteristics to match their characteristics with an index to help their knowledge of diversity. Based on the results of the data analysis and discussion that has been described, it can be concluded as follows: The results of the identification of ferns found in the Kakaha Forest are 17 species of ferns consisting of 4 classes, namely class filicinae 4 Order, flicopsida 1 Order, pteridopsida 3 Order, and lycopodiopsida class 1 Order, 9 families, and 13 genera. The results of the calculation of  Pteridophyta plants in the Kakaha Forest from the observation of the ecological index are the value of the density totaling 127.4 individuals, the relative density is 1000 individuals, the dominance index is 0.068371 individuals in the low category, and the diversity index value is 3.279 individuals in the medium category.

Abstract

Global challenges demand the availability of human resources (HR) who master science, technology, and art (IPTEKS). The acceleration of educational change is oriented towards the use of technology, especially the integration of learning. Related to these changes, professional teachers are required to have competency in line with existing developments with TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) skills for the realization of quality education. This study aims to analyze the TPACK ability of prospective biology teachers. The research was conducted using a survey method in the form of self-report-measure. The research sample was 150 biology students in semesters 7 and 8 using a random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed from the TPACK questionnaire created by Schmidt et al (2009) and Sahin (2001). The instrument has been tested for validity with a p-value < 0.05 and the reliability of Cronbach's Alpha > 0.05. 0.70. After the data was analyzed, the TPACK abilities of prospective biology teachers were grouped into 5 levels, namely very good, good, medium, and low. The results showed that the preservice teachers in Biology education Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) skills obtained an average of 3.51-4.50 including having good TPACK abilities. Kata kunci: Analysis; Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK); calon guru

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of worksheets with the help of digital mind maps to improve creative thinking skills in excretory system materials and know the response of teachers and students to LKS with the help of digital mind maps to practice creative thinking skills in the excretory system material. LKS development uses the ADDIE development model which is modified into 4 stages (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation). The data collection technique in this study was carried out by distributing validation questionnaires which were used to test the validity of the developed product, while the response questionnaire was used to determine the responses of teachers and students to the developed product. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the results of validation by material experts and media experts on student worksheets with the help of digital mind maps get an average score of 3.51 with a very valid category. 2) Biology subject teachers' responses to student worksheets get an average score of 3.86 with a very practical category. Abstract

This research aims to (1) determine the plant species of the Arecaceae family in the forest area of the Way Kambas SPTN II Bungur National Park (Resort Toto Projo) East Lampung Regency, (2) determine the plant diversity index of the Arecaceae family in the forest area of the Way Kambas SPTN II Bungur National Park (Resort Toto Projo) East Lampung Regency, (3) Find out whether the results of the research are suitable or not to be used as a Biology learning resource in the form of Student Worksheets based on Discovery Learning. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative, with a purposive sampling method combined with line transects. The results found from this research were 15 species from 294 individuals. The results of the overall calculation of the diversity index for the Arecaceae family in the Way Kambas SPTN II Bungur National Park Forest Area (Toto Projo Resort) show a figure of 2.4871, including the medium category. Validation of learning resources is carried out by 5 validators including material expert validation, design validation, and language validation. The validation results from material experts got a score of 81%, validation from design experts got a score of 82%, and validation from language experts got a score of 78%. The feasibility of the Student Worksheets based on Discovery Learning product that was created obtained an average score from all validators, namely 80%, namely with good criteria, and was declared valid and suitable as a student learning resource.

Abstract

This study, aimed to determine, the science learning process oriented to the aspects of moral, knowledge, and leadership at Sekolah Alam Indonesia (SAI) Palembang. The, research, method used, is descriptive qualitative using a case, study approach. The,research subjects consisted,,of science teachers, as well as students, in grades VII and VIII.. The data, were collected, using interview, observation, and documentation. Then, the data was analyzed, using. the Miles, and Hubermen model. The resultsn showedb that the science learning process carried out at SAI Palembang could be carriedd out in thee classroom or outsidee the classroom. Inn addition, the,method used,by the teacherris in the formmof lectures,qquestions andaanswers, discussions, presentations aand observations of the school environment, using learning resources in thee form off books and thee internet. The learning model applied is exploring the surrounding nature, and the learning mediaa is in tthe fform of learning videoss and the school environment. The implementation of the moral, scientific, and leadership aspects is more emphasized on the implementation of programs and activities that have been designed at the beginning of each semester. Kata kunci: proses pembelajaran, sekolah alam

Abstract

In this study, the aim was to produce learning media based on the Google Slides application for natural science subjects on the human digestive system at Fatumfaun Public Middle School and then to find out the feasibility of Google Slides-based learning media for natural science subjects on the food digestive system for humans at public junior high schools. Fatumfaun based on the results of expert reviews and trials. Research and development (Research and Development) is a method used in this investigation. Both qualitative and quantitative data kinds are employed. The results of the assessment of media experts have an average value of 92.30% and are stated to be very good for testing. The results show that the material expert's assessment obtained an average value of 96.67% and was stated to be very good for testing. Based on Table 5, the trial of learning media products based on the Google Slides application is included in the very good category to be tested at Fatumfaun Public Middle School with an average score of 89.25% of student assessment results. The development of Google Slides application-based learning media for the digestive system material in humans that was developed was declared feasible to be tested.

Abstract

Animated video media can make students interested in learning. The objectives of this research are, 1) To determine the differences in learning outcomes and learning activities of class class X student activities between classes that use animated video media and classes that use powerpoint media. The research sample was all students in class X Mia 1 and Mia 2. Data were collected using the test method in the form of multiple-choice questions and observation sheets. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it was obtained using the t-test there was a significant difference in student activity in class of 0.048, and in learning outcomes there was a significant difference of 0.000. Based on the Effect Size results, activity results were obtained at 0.51 and student learning outcomes at 0.50, including in the medium category.

Abstract

The aquarium is a medium made of glass, which is currently favored by ornamental fish enthusiasts because apart from being easy to make an aquarium, it is also practical. Aquascape is the art of creating underwater scenery in an aquarium area. To ensure the success of creating a beauty from the art of aquascape, it takes many balance factors in the ecosystem of an aquarium. The objectives of this study include knowing whether there is an influence of pumakcal variation on the growth of Flame Moss in aquascape with poor sand media, knowing the most appropriate pumakcal variation for the growth of Flame Moss and analyzing the potential of learning resources for biology learning material for growth and development. From the results of this study, it was found that variations in pumakkal liquid fertilizer had no significant effect on the growth of flame moss plant height, and variations in pumakkal liquid fertilizer had a significant effect on water pH in flame moss plants. The variety of isolates of pumakkal fertilizer with P4 treatment which gave the best effect on the growth of flame moss plant height was the highest average of 6.88 cm. And the variation of pumakkal fertilizer isolate with P5 treatment was found to have the highest pH value of 7.4. And research results can be used as potential sources of learning biology material for growth and developmen. Kata kunci: aquascape, flame moss, organic fertilizer, pumakkal

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: The effect of Course Review Horay Learning model on the learning outcomes of biology students in class XI material of the body's defense system at Senior hight school 1 Sidamanik in the academic year 2021/2022. This type of research is a quantitative research in which the research population includes all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik in the academic year 2021/2022, so up to 175 students. The samples of this study were 70 students of classes XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3. The instrument used in this study was a multiple choice test with a quasi-experimental research type and a non-equivalent control group design. The independent variable is Horay Course Overview and the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The results of the students' data were compared with the norms, and the study result data were analyzed using the N-Gain test and Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed that the "Course review" method had a great impact on the results of the education of the students of the 11th grade of the 6th grade of Sidamanik in the subject of biology, the material of the body's defense system. The learning outcomes of the students in the experimental class achieved good characteristics, and the control class achieved only sufficient characteristics. The experimental group mean test was 83.14 and the control class mean post test was 76.57. It shows that the N-profit index of the experimental group is 0.706 (high), while the N-profit index of the control class is 0.452 (average). The results of the independent sample test showed the value of tcount(4.226) > ttable(1.995), which means that the Course Review Method can improve the results of students' learning about the immune system and the impact value. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 is 0.000. The conclusion is that Horai's course review study method affects students' learning outcomes in biology. Kata kunci: Course Review Horay, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

One way to make learning media that can be used as a classroom resource is to use print media technology to create booklets as learning media. The study's objective was to develop a coloring book medium for the songket sambas fabric based on biodiversity. Research and Development are used in this method of research. The research and development of booklet media for songket sambas fabric dyes on biodiversity materials yielded results with 79% (valid) validity on media aspects, 74% (valid) validity on material aspects, and 79% (valid) validity on language aspects. In the small-scale trial of science 1 and 2 classes, students' and teachers' responses to the booklet media received a score of 85% and a value of 84% (very valid). The scores for the large-scale trials of the IPA 1 and IPA 2 classes were 84% (very valid) and 81% (valid). The response from the teacher received a score of 77% (valid). The study's findings lead us to the conclusion that the booklet media can be utilized.
