Abstract

The low numeracy skills of students serve as the background of this study. Therefore, this study aims to determine the difference between the effect of REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) learning strategy with conventional learning in improving students' numeracy skills in mathematics learning. This research is a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. This research instrument utilized a numeracy test. Data analysis comprised namely normality test, homogeneity test, mean difference test, and normalized Gain (N-Gain) test. The results showed that REACT learning strategy and conventional learning can improve students' numeracy skills. The REACT learning strategy demonstrated an improvement in students' numeracy skills with an N-Gain score of 0.58 and an N-Gain percentage of 57.93% in the medium and moderately effective category. Conversely, the conventional learning resulted in an N-Gain score of 0.35 and an N-Gain percentage of 35.49% with moderate and ineffective categories. Consequently, REACT learning strategy is better than conventional learning in improving students' numeracy skills.

Abstract

The science learning process plays an important role in actively involving students in the learning process. This can be facilitated by developing a Wordwall "Open the Box" media on the Human Respiratory System material. This research is an R&D study that refers to the Borg and Gall development model. The research subjects consisted of 30 fifth-grade students in a trial at SDN Panunggangan 8, Tangerang City. The results of the study showed that the validity percentage of the media was 81.3%, the material experts' assessment was 85.3%, and the fifth-grade teachers' assessment was 100%, all indicating valid criteria. The practicality percentage from the student response questionnaire was 4.1 in a large-scale trial with the category of "good/feasible". Based on the development research conducted, students were very enthusiastic about using the Wordwall "Open the Box" media, and it can be concluded that the Wordwall "Open the Box" media on the Human Respiratory System material is feasible to be used by fifth-grade elementary school students to improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is reading in depth to gain an understanding of the information or message in a reading. there are students who have difficulty in understanding the content of reading. Using the pre-experimental design approach and a one-shot case study methodology, this study intends to ascertain the impact of the CIRC model—with assistance from Let's Read Asia media—on the reading comprehension skills of grade V elementary school pupils. This research was conducted 2 times treatment. The sample was 30 students of class V-A in one of the elementary schools in Bandung City. Two methods of gathering data were employed: observation and post-test. The one-sample t-test was employed in data analysis with the JASP version 0.18.3 application to test the hypothesis. The CIRC model assisted by Let's Read Asia media has an effect on students' reading comprehension skills as seen from the p value = 0.001 <0.05 which indicates the rejection of H0 and the acceptance of H1. The CIRC model assisted by Let's Read Asia media has a significant positive effect on students' reading comprehension ability, because the average value of students' post-test is greater than the KKM (75).

Abstract

Difficulty in answering multiplication and division arithmetic operation questions and the absence of learning media in the learning process makes students' interest in learning less, so there is a need for tools in dealing with this. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of learning media on the musi board and paper division on students on the arithmetic operations of multiplication and division in mathematics learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in this study, namely through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of music board media and paper parts on students on the operation of calculating multiplication and division in learning math is very effective. With the media of the musi board and paperbagian many students can work on multiplication and division operations easily but there are still 2 students who are lacking in working on multiplication and division operations researchers provide assistance by teaching how to work on media that is easy and can be learned by students so that these students can solve multiplication and division operations easily.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Adobe Animate learning media with the application of problem-based learning models on the material of Indonesian cultural wealth for students of Elementary School 060883 Medan. The background of this study focuses on the low learning outcomes of students about the material of Indonesian cultural wealth in grade four. As well as teachers do not apply interactive learning media and the learning models used by teachers are more monotonous in lecture and conventional learning models. Therefore, this study aims to see the effectiveness of using interactive learning media using the problem-based learning model. The design of this study used a quasi-experiment with a pre-test and post-test. Data collection used observation, documentation, and performance tests. The data analyzed were quantitative. The results of the experimental class showed an effectiveness score of 77.04% and the control class got a percentage of 70.64%. The effectiveness value of using interactive learning media is higher than power point media 6.4%. It can be concluded that Adobe Animate interactive learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to increase student learning motivation by implementing flipbook-based learning media, a tool for measuring student learning motivation in implementing interactive flipbook learning media using questionnaires. Questionnaire used the questionnaire that the researcher will use is a closed questionnaire consisting of 4 indicators from which 19 questions are made. The data obtained from the questionnaire is then processed and analyzed using a Likert scale. After analysis, it was obtained that the student learning motivation questionnaire data regarding the application of interactive flipbook learning media obtained an average of 88.46% in the ST category (very high). For each indicator, students gave a high response to interactive flipbook learning media. Based on the average results, it can be concluded that students are motivated to learn using interactive Flipbook learning media in science subjects, especially ecosystem material.

Abstract

Students' collaborative skills can be improved by applying the Problem based learning model and differentiation learning in mathematics subjects. This study is entitled Improving Collaborative Skills Using the Problem based learning Model in Differentiated Learning of Mathematics Subjects for Grade IV Students of SD Negeri Mlilir 01. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & MC Taggart model which is carried out in two cycles. In each cycle there are four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Based on the results of the study in cycle I, it shows that the results of group discussions obtained a percentage of 76.44% and the results of group attitude observations obtained 76.90%. Thus, the results of collaboration skills in cycle I obtained a percentage of 76.67%. In cycle II, the results of group discussions obtained a percentage of 84.42% and the results of group attitude observations obtained 80.98%. Thus, the results of collaboration skills in cycle II obtained a percentage of 82.70%. From these data, it can be seen that there was an increase in the percentage of collaboration skills from 76.67% to 82.70%. This proves that the researcher has succeeded in achieving the established collaboration skills indicator of 80%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an E-LKPD Word Search Based on Live Worksheets for the English Subject Unit 11 Class IV Elementary School which is declared suitable for use based on validity, practicality and effectiveness tests. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages. The validity of E-LKPD is known from the results of the E-LKPD material validator with a gain of 96% and the E-LKPD media validator 91%. Practicality is known from the results of educational practitioner questionnaires of 94% and student responses of 94% after product trials were carried out. The effectiveness of E-LKPD is known from the percentage of student learning completion of 82% with an N-Gain of 0.65. So E-LKPD Word Search Based on Live Worksheets in English Subjects is suitable for use.

Abstract

Based on initial observations, students had low writing skills, leading to a lack of active participation in writing lessons. This study aims to describe the effect of the cooperative learning model write around, supported by sequential image media, on the writing skills of fifth-grade elementary students. It is a quantitative study using an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design and a nonequivalent control group framework. The population consists of fifth-grade students at SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya, with a sample of 32 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using essay-type tests. The research results reveal that the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Write Around, supported by serial picture media, influences the prose writing skills of fifth-grade students. This statement refers to the hypothesis test results indicating a sig value of 0.001<0.05, meaning H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Additionally, the experimental class's average pretest-posttest increase is 28.5, superior to the control class's 20.25. Therefore, the write around model, supported by picture series media, positively affects students' prose writing skills.

Abstract

Academic stress is a common challenge faced by elementary school students, which can negatively impact their emotional well-being and academic achievement. One strategy that can help students cope with stress is ice-breaking activities. This study aims to analyze the role of ice-breaking activities in helping students at SDN Waru manage stress. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations and interviews with teachers and students involved in ice-breaking activities. The findings indicate that ice-breaking activities create a more enjoyable learning environment, enhance social interactions, and help students better regulate their emotions. Various activities, such as group games, physical movements, humor or funny stories, breathing exercises, and singing, have been proven effective in reducing stress and increasing students' learning motivation. Therefore, implementing ice-breaking activities in the learning process not only transforms the classroom atmosphere into a more engaging one but also plays a crucial role in supporting students' psychological well-being.
