Abstract

Nutritional problems are still a global problem throughout the world. Media is one of the things that needs to be considered in conducting health promotion as an impact of the industrial era. This study aims to determine the effect of health education media in the industrial era on changes in behavior of pregnant women at high risk in dietary care. This research was carried out in the Work Area of the Makassar City Kassi-kassi Health Center. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative type with a non-equivalent control group design using a purposive sampling method. The population in this study were pregnant women which consisted of 214 pregnant women. The sample size in this study was 40 pregnant women in the experimental group and 40 pregnant women in the control group. Data collection uses the observation method, interviews using a pre and post test questionnaire in the group The intervention was given a community health education media in the form of audio visual aids, namely video and in the control group a visual education aid was provided in the form of visual aids, namely a poster. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test found that the media of health education in the form of effective videos of changes in the care of eating patterns of high risk pregnant women (p value 0.005). While health education media such as posters did not affect the change in care of diet for high-risk pregnant women (p value 0.005). Research novelty found that in the industrialization era audio visual (video) media is more effective than visual media (posters) in community health education. Extension needs to be done by using videos so that the eating patterns of pregnant women are at high risk of becoming better.

Abstract

Non-formal education has proven to be able to improve the quality of education for the community, however, its implementation still faces many obstacles due to various limitations. Therefore, problem analysis and development efforts are needed. Based on the results of exploration, expectation data from managers of non-formal education units are needed regarding the need to foster the performance of managers in providing ideal and quality non-formal education services. This study focuses on three topics, as follows: (1) describing the conceptual model managers, (2) applying a training model, and (3) to analyze the effectiveness of the training model to improve the performance of the non-formal education unit managers. The research approach is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used in this research consisted of documentation studies, literature studies, interviews, and focus group discussions. The research subjects were 17 managers of non-formal education units in Bandung Raya, consisting of the managers of the Community Learning Center (CLC) and the Course and Training Institute (CTI). The research period has been carried out for six months. The results of this study are: First, improve the performance of non-formal education managers is prepared following the expectations of the manager. Second, improve the performance of the non-formal education unit managers is carried out through the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Third, improve the performance of non-formal education unit managers is considered effective, as evidenced by the increase in manager competence based on the results of the pretest and posttest.

Abstract

Implementing of nonformal education program at PKBM didn’t show individual and sustinable yet so it appeared impression inconsistency and less profesionally in management. There were many nonformal education program which were implemented by PKBM had many obstacles in conducting program, and it was regardless from supporting human resources especially funding. The purpose of this research was to analysis fund raising strategy in implementing nonformal education strategy which was conducted by PKBM Ceria. This research used case study method with qualitative approach. The data resources in this research was management, teacher of PKBM Ceria and supervisor of PLS/PNF. Technique of data collection used interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used interactive analysis model namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verivication or conclusion drawing. Technique of data validity used resources triangulation. Conclusion of this research was fund raising strategy in implementing PNF program which was conducted by PKBM Ceria used public education strategy, fund service strategy, and competency strategy to central or district goverment institution which had been relevant with implementing of nonformal education.

Abstract

This research on traditional games discusses that are passed down from generation to generation, which has to disappear and is unknown to children today. Traditional games began to shift to playing patterns at home not to develop a child’s physical motorbike. The purpose of this study is to renew traditional games and gender in children’s physical motor development. The subject of this study consisted of 60 kindergarten children at Mutiara Bunda Kindergarten, fifty city district. The experimental research data method was obtained by using this pre-test-posttest experimental research observation and data collection techniques using 2x2 factorial design, using validity, reliability, normality test, 2-way ANOVA test. The results of this study regarding the motorists of the physical development of boys were higher with an average number of 78.9, 77,4women, overall women, a significant overall number of traditional games and gender in physical development in children of the mother-of-kindergarten pearls.

Abstract

This research was conducted to obtain information about the optimization of the independent attitude from members of saving and loan cooperatives in terms of community empowerment context. This research was conducted at the KEBAL Al Muttaqien Saving and Loan Cooperative that involved the management and members as research subjects. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The information found from this research is the success of the management in implementing the improvement of members' independence by emphasizing the strengthening aspects such as material, intellectual, and management independence. It can be concluded that the development efforts have been made by prioritizing the capacity of the community to develop, be independent, and be able to manage the natural resources around them. Thus, empowerment activities are implemented so that people can participate in achieving independence. KSP KEBAL has performed its role as an empowerment agent to provide strength to the community as an empowered group. The independence of cooperative members is a measure of the successful efforts in carrying out its organizational and business activities.

Abstract

The lack number of teachers in Wonogiri district urgea participation between parents and organizer of Early Childhood Education (ECE) program. Related to this issue, this study aimed at (1) knowing the implementation of ECE program in Wonogiri district (2) analyzing the forms of parental participation in ECE program (3) analyzing the factors affecting parental participation in ECE program implementation. This study can be catagorized as descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique was using descriptive statistics among ECE program in Wonogiri District, Central Java. The reserach findings showed that (1) ECE program in Wonogiri District was operated under the Education Office of Wonogiri District, especially Non-Formal and Informal Education Unit. It has ECE section focusing on developing ECE services in Wonogiri district (2) most of the respondents had a low level of participation in terms of policies, collaboration, information (3) factors affecting parental participation in ECE program implementation were education, occupation, income as well as distance between home and school.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the various empowerment strategies implemented in each community empowerment institution. Heterogeneous environmental conditions became a consideration in implementing empowerment strategies to the community. The empowerment strategy became the main capital to attract the attention of the community to take the empowerment program seriously. The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of the empowerment strategies used at this institution. This research was conducted to analyze the social compass was applied. The research method used is qualitative using a case study approach. Data were collected through observation and interview technique. The informants consisted of three training program managers and three training participants. Data obtained then analyzed by procedures of data collecting, data reducing, data display, and conclusion. Result of this research indicated that applied social compass were resources, technology, knowledge, values, goals and felt needs, norms, positions and roles, power leadership and influence, sanctions, and space relations. The impact of this social compass strategy was changing in the social-economic structure of the community. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the applied social compass could create an independent community in looking for family livelihood and prosperity.

Abstract

Cakupan kegiatan dalam PKBM diantaranya Kejar Paket A, Kejar Paket B, Kejar Paket C, PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini), KBU (Kelompok Belajar Usaha), KUPP (Kelompok Usaha Pemuda Produktif), Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Keaksaraan Fungsional Dasar Dewasa, Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (Perpustakaan). Kelompok belajar paket C atau kejar paket C merupakan pendidikan kesetaraan untuk jenjang sekolah menengah umum (SMU) dimana pesertanya berbeda dengan karakter dan latar belakang pendidikan formal yang mana rata-rata peserta paket C sudah berusia dewasa.Strategi, teknik dan metode menjadi kunci sukses dalam pelaksanaan proses belajar pembelajaran di paket C terutama dalam menggunakan strategi pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran orang dewasa di paket C.Pemakaian media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar dapat membangkitkan keinginan dan minat yang baru, membangkitkan motivasi dan rangsangan kegiatan belajar, dan bahkan membawa pengaruh-pengaruh psikologis terhadap peserta didik. Media pembelajaran yang dibuat secara fisik dalam pendidikan formal dan nonformal sama, tetapi ada perbedaan dalam tahapan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi, tentunya hal itu disesuaikan dengan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan orang dewasa.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu berusaha mendapatkan informasi yang selengkap mungkin mengenai implementasi media pembelajaran berbasis prinsip-prinsip pendidikan orang dewasa di ngaliyan kota semarang, metode kualitatif penulis lebih mudah apa bila berhadapan dengan kenyataan ganda.Hasil penelitian PKBM Indonesia Pusaka sendiri berlangsung dengan kerjasama antara tutor dan warga belajar. Dengan adanya peran tutor sebagai motivator, pembimbing, dan  fasilitator dapat menumbuhkan keinginan sesuai apa yang disampaikan dalam teori pannen,karena bagi orang dewasa belajar berhubungan dengan bagaimana mengarahkan diri sendiri untuk bertanya dan mencari jawabannya, pembelajaran di PKBM Indonesia Pusaka sudah memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan orang dewasa, dengan aplikasi metode dan cara dalam mengajar yang disesuaikan dengan latar belakang warga belajar dan media pembelajaran yang dibuat para tutor di PKBM Indonesia Pusakan sudah memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip dalam pemilihan media dan prinsip-prinsip belajar orang dewasa. The scope of activities in PKBM, kejar paket A, B, and C,  PAUD (early childhood education), KBU (group learning Efforts), KUPP (Productive Youth Business Group), women's empowerment, basic functional Adult Literacy, Reading public (Library). Paket C or  equality for education seniorl high school (SMU) where different participants with the characters and the background of formal education where the average attendee paket C is already aged adults.Strategies, techniques and methods became the key to success in the implementation of the learning process of learning in the paket C especially in using learning media utilization strategies in the process of learning adult in paket c. learning media Usage in the process of teaching and learning can evoke desire and interest in the new, demotivating and evoking stimuli and learning activities, and even psychological influences brought against learners. Instructional media created physically within the formal and non-formal education is the same, but there are differences in the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation of, surely it is adapted to the principles of adult education.This research used the qualitative  approach, that is trying to get information that is as complete as possible about the implementatioan of media based learning pronciples of adult education in Ngaliyan Semarang, qualitative methods authors more easily what when confronted with realityResearch results PKBM Indonesia Pusaka itself took place with the collaboration between tutors and learning. With the tutor role as motivators, mentors, and facilitators can foster a desire in accordance to what is conveyed in the theory of pannen, because for adults learning relate to how to direct yourself to ask questions and seek answers, learning in PKBM Indonesia Pusaka already pay attention to the principles of adult education, with the application of methods and ways of teaching that is tailored to the background learner and learning media made by tutors in Indonesia PKBM Pusakan already noticed the principles in the selection of media and learning principles adults.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan layanan; mekanisme dan bentu-bentuk pelaporan, serta mengetahui model layanan program UKS terintegrasi pada lembaga PAUD di kota Semarang, agar pengembangan model layanan dapat berjalan dengan baik. Target penelitian ini menemukan model layanan UKS terintegrasi pada lembaga PAUD. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian pengembangan. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik stratified random sampling dan data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Model ini dikembangkan dengan modifikasi langkah-langkah dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini mampu menggambarkan mekanisme layanan program UKS pada lembaga PAUD, yang meliputi trias UKS (pendidikan kesehatan, layanan kesehatan, pembinaan lingkungan sekolah sehat), sebagian besar kegiatannya belum dilakukan atau dilaksanakan oleh lembaga termasuk dalam merencanakan kegiatan. Mekanisme dan bentuk – bentuk pelaporan layanan program UKS, yang dibuat oleh tim peksana secara tertulis pada akhir tahun yang dilaporkan kepada kepala sekolah, Dinas Pendidikan dan Puskesmas. Model layanan program UKS terintegrasi pada lembaga PAUD, tim pelaksana mengidentifikasi dan merencanakan kegiatan layanan program pada lembaga yang meliputi trias dan memastikan dalam setiap rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran harian (RPPH) harus ada kegiatan layanan program UKS baik di bagian awal, bagian inti, maupun bagian akhir.

Abstract

Polyglot Indonesia is a form of nonformal learning organization that concerns on developing the intercultural communication skill of its members. This study shows how the organization element (organizational climate) helps to develop intercultural communication skill of the members. The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of organizational climate mediated by self motivation towards intercultural communication skill of Polyglot Indonesia members. This study is categorized as ex-postfacto study with quantitative approach. The population of this study are 152 members of Polyglot Indonesia who have been joining the whatsapp group of Polyglot Indonesia All chapters and the sample that used in this study are 110 respondents. The data were collected through online questionnaire. The data analysis was using SPSS 21.0 Software. The results and conclusion of this study are, (1) t value regression of X variable towards Y is 2,122 and significance level is 0,036, which means there is a significant direct influence on organizational climate towards intercultural communication skill of Polyglot Indonesia members; (2) t value regression of X variable towards Z is 2,957 and significance level is 0,004, which means there is significant direct influence on organizational climate towards self motivation of Polyglot Indonesia members; (3) t value regression of X variable towards Y mediated by Z is 2,333 and significance level is 0,05, which means there is a significant indirect influence on organizational climate mediated by self motivation towards intercultural communication skill of Polyglot. Indonesia members. This study new finding shows that self motivation strengthened the impact of organization element in achieving organization goal as nonformal learning organization. The study benefit for the science development is to show a form of nonformal learning through learning organization and enhance the knowledge of the core value of nonformal learning itself.
