Abstract

Penelitian quasi-eksperimental ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi gambar-gambar kontekstual terhadap pengembangan kemampuan menulis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Buko. Populasi ini diambil untuk sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini melibatkan 22 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 23 siswa pada kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen utama yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian adalah test. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan t-test analisis untuk membandingkan skor rata-rata dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata 81.8 dari kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari pada skor rata-rata 73,5 dari kelas kontrol. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus t-test. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung adalah 4.234. Dengan menerapkan tingkat signifikansi 0.05 dan derajat kebebasan (df) 43, nilai t-table adalah 1.681. Dengan demikian, maka Haditerima karena nilai t-counted 4.234lebih besar dari nilai t-tabel 1.681. Ini berarti bahwa ada pengembangan kemampuan menulis pada siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan aplikasi gambar kontekstual. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan gambar-gambar kontekstual sangat efektif untuk digunakan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menulis siswa.

Abstract

The research problems were (1) how was the improving increase in the ability to write a personal letter using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu (2) how was the result of improvement in the ability of personal letter by using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu. The objectiveof this resrsearh was to describe the increase in the ability to write a personal letter using modeling techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu and describe the results of an increase in the ability to write a personal letter using techniques of the fifth grade students work at SD Tayyibah Mamboro Palu. This research used qualitative approach and the type of research was a classroom action research. Data collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research findings, it was showed that the use modeling techniques could improve the ability of students to write a personal letter. It was found out an increase in the number of students who have chieved the criteria of succes from the first cycle to the second cycle. Furthermore, there were an increase in the value average of writing a personal letter from the first cycle to the second cycle. In the pre-cyle stage, only 23% of students who achieved mastery learning, whereas in the first cycle after the implementation of modeling techniques as 54% of students who completed the criteria of succes, it was indicated that the learning outcomes have increased by 31%. Moreover, in the second cycle the students who have completed was 77% indicated that the number of students who achieve the criteria of succes increased to 10 from 13 students. Classically, the percentage between the first cycle and second cycle increased into 23 23%.          Keywords: Writing, Personal Letters, Modeling Techniques.

Abstract

The ability of writing short story of the eleventh-graders Ibnusina SMP Negeri Model Terpadu Madani Palu can be improved. Problem of this research are: 1) how is the implementation of collaborative steps of round table and brown learning model in improving writing short story ability the eleventh-graders Ibnusina SMP Negeri Model Terpadu Madani Palu? and 2) can the ability of writing short story improved after the collaboration of round table and brown learning model? This research intends to: 1) describe stages of the application of round table and brown learning model in improving writing short story ability the eleventh-graders Ibnusina SMP Negeri Model Terpadu Madani Palu, 2) describe the result of writing short story ability after the application of  round table and brown learning model. Data were collected through written test and non test (observation and documentation). Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of this research revealed that: 1) the application of round table and brown learning model through several stages, first the researcher plays video of short story watched by students; second, researcher prepares observation sheet of the implementation of writing short story; third, researcher prepares camera for documentation of teachers’ and students’ activities in the learning process. Students’ ability in writing short story improves after conducted stages above. The percentage of improvement is increase in every meeting of Cycle I and Cycle II. Cycle I show 80.18 from 73.51 and improved to 83.88 in Cycle II. Round Table Learning Model and Brown

Abstract

Scrutinize learning is listening proses of oral symbols expressly and carefully and also with understanding, apreciation, interpretation, reaction, and evaluation to get a message, information, content and the meaning in there. The problem formula of this research are (1) how is the application role play method to improve ability in  scrutinize  content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo? (2) how is the improvement result of application role play method to improve ability in  scrutinize  content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo?. this research has aim to (1) describe application role play method to improve ability in  scrutinize  content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo, (2) describing result of application role play method to improve ability in  scrutinize  content folklore at fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi Kecamatan Ampibabo. This research has two cycles, each of cycle has implemented two meetings in the class and each cycle consist of four steps, there are planning, implementing, observation and reflection. The indicator of individual achievement is 67% and the classical completeness is 80%. The assesment component of scrutinize folklore that is accuracy to telling the content of story, accuracy analysis of character in a story, writing the background of the story which listened and conclude the content of story. Based on the poduct, the improvement of students scrutinize ability can be seen based on the data analysis of improvement students scrutinizing. He result of cycle 1, individual completeness achieve 65,5% and classical comleteness 71,4%. Result of the research at cycle II had a significance improvement, individual completeness achieve 80,95% and classical completeness achieve 100%. Therefore, it can be concluded that learning with role play method can improve scrutinize ability of folklore  content story at the fifth grade students of SD Inpres 1 Paranggi, Kecamatan Ampibabo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur perbaikan penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas VIII pada MTs Negeri Taipa melalui cerita rakyat dalam penggunaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual. Ini adalah penelitian pra-eksperimental. Sampelnya dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, di mana peneliti sengaja memilih siswa kelas VIII A MTs Negeri Taipa. Datanya dikumpulkan melalui tes yang dibagi kedalam pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasilnya peneliti menemukan bahwa t-hitung adalah 7,98. Dengan menerapkan 0.05 tingkat signifikansi dan 28 derajat kebebasan (df), t-tabel adalah 1,701. Ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung lebih tinggi dari t-tabel. Ini berarti bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima. Dengan kata lain, penguasaan kosakata siswa itu kelas VIII MTs Negeri Taipa dapat diperbaiki melalui Teks Cerita Rakyat dalam penggunaan pengajaran dan pembelajaran kontekstual . Abstract

This research was experimental research. The formulation of the problem in this reserach amounted to three, namely (1) How is the ability to write exposition text in class X MIPA of SMAN 1 Bambaira Pasangkayu Regency?, (2) How is the implementation of exposition text writing learning with problem-based learning model at class X MIPA of SMAN 1 Bambaira Pasangkayu Regency? The results of the ability to write exposition text in the experimental class and the control at class X MIPA of SMAN 1 Bambaira Pasangkayu Regency? This research aims to test the problem-based learning model in order to improve the ability to write exposition text so that the teaching learning process model becomes an alternative learning to write exposition text. This research was a quasi-experimental research method. The design in this research was a quasi experimental design. The population of this research was all students at class X of SMAN 1 Bambaira. The samples were two classes, namely class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and class X MIPA 2 as the control class. The structure and rules of the exposition text assessed in this research cover five aspects, namely content, text structure, vocabulary, sentence effectiveness, and mechanics. Based on the results of statistical tests, data obtained from the calculation of t-test Sig are obtained 'the ability to write exposition text is 0.035. The significance level in this research was 0.05 (95% confidence level). Based on these calculations, the results of the hypothesis Ho is rejected or the hypothesis Ha is accepted, there is a significant difference between the ability to write exposition text in the experimental class using a problem-based learning model and a control class with a learning model not using problem-based learning at class X of SMAN 1 Bambaira Pasangkayu Regency.

Abstract

The problem which explained in this research consisted of two things, they were ; (1) what were symbols which found in Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe, (2) what were the meaning which found in symbols in Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe. The objective of this research was to described the symbols which found in Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe. The approach that used in this research was qualitative approach. Kind of this research which used was descriptive qualitative research. The ethod which used in this research was listening and conversation method. The data accumulation which done in this research through: (1) Observation, (2) Interview, (3) Dokumentation, (4) recording. The data analysis which used was Miles and Hubermen model through 4 steps, they were : (1) accumulation data step, (2) reduction data, (3) serving data, (4) Verification data. Research result showed that in Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe that found nineteen steps, in each of step there was symbols which full meaning, there were symbols which explained in Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe was verbal and nonverbal symbol. Nineteen steps of Balia Baliore traditional ceremony at Kaili tribe, they were : (1), nompairomu, (2) Nompakende joa, (3) mosore vayo, (4) mompesule manu, (5) nombangu tava kayu, (6) nangande ka ada, (7) nosinggulama pamula, (8) noisi sakaya, (9) nompopolivo sakaya, (11) mosore vayo setelah pelarungan, (12) nodungganaka tava kayu, (13) noporo ri vamba, (14) nangande ka ada kaupuna, (15) nosunggilama kaupuna, (16) nocera, (17) pray together, (18) nobagi poloya, (19) novonto potampari.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to analyze Kailinese Puzzle (Jalili): On analysis of Folklore Oral Expression through Hermeneutics Approach, to describe and to explain kinds of Kailinese puzzle, and to describe and to explain messages inside Kailines Puzzle (jalili). The research employs descriptive qualitative design. It was conducted at Kelurahan Baiya Kecamatan Tawaili involved 15 respondents. The data were collected through interview, questionnaire and document studies. The results of the study are (1) Jalili is divided into three kinds, a) Jalili in the form anecdocte. This kind of jalili covers the common joke in the society. It involves the questions about shifted real facts found in the society into the kind of questions in which they have particular humorous, b) Jalili that expresses about eagerness and willingness. This kind of jalili is particularly played by adults; among males and females. It is commonly found in any celebration parties, c) Jalili that concerns about life and Divinity. This kind of jalili contains advices about life and divinity. The players of jalili about life and divinity are the commonly the old men and adults. The adult asks about life and divinity to the old men, and the old men answer the question by offering it through jalili. 2) Jalili contains massages and advices; a) the allowable ways to talk to women, b) the allowable ways to deliver eagerness to the women, c) the allowable ways to visit women, d) to appreciate everything that contributes to human life, e) to act in polite manners to the parents, f) keep good relationship with others, g) knowing oneself to know God, and h) thanking to what God has provided us in the world. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan kesalahan tata Bahasa yang umum dilakukan oleh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Model Terpadu Madani Palu dalam menulis paragraf deskriptif dan untuk mengetahui alasan mendasar dari kesalahan tata bahasa yang muncul di dalam tulisan siswa. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian, peneliti menerapkan penelitian descriptive. Sample dari penelitian ini merupakan X6 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Sample dipilih mengunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Dalam menganalisis kesalahan tata Bahasa, peneliti mengunakan tehnik paper and pencil method, in-depth interview, dan participant observation.  Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa umumnya melakukakan kesalahan tata bahasa didalam emapat jenis. Yaitu selection, omission, addition, dan ordering. Kesalahan selection merupakan kesalan tata bahasa yang paling umum yang siswa lakukan. Terdapat 47.5% dari jumlah keseluruhan kesalahan. Jenis keslahan ini disebakan oleh intralingual. Omission merupakan jenis kesalahan tata bahasa yang kedua yang umum dilakukan siswa. terdapat 32.6% dari total kesalahan. Jenis kesalahan ini disebabkan oleh interlingul dan intralingual. Addition merupakan jenis kesalahan tata bahasa yang ketiga yang umum siswa lakukan. Terdapat 13.7% dari jumlah keseluruhan kesalahan. Jenis kesalahan ini disebabkan oleh intralingual. Oredering merupakan jenis terakhir dari kesalahan tata bahasa yang umumnya dilakukan siswa. Dalam kesalahan jenis ini. terdapat 6.1% dari jumlah keseluruhan kesalahan. Interlingual merupakan sumber kesalahan dari jenis kesalahan ini.

Abstract

There is the objective of this research is to describe the steps of writing a pantun with using picture media of the fourth grade students at SD Inpres Kalukubula. Kind of this research is a classroom action research which adopted by Kurt Lewin Model which developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, it is include 4 steps, (a) planning, (b) Implementing, (c) Observation, and (d) reflection. There are four aspects of writing pantun assesment, hey are, (1) Theme, (2) diction, (3)sampiran and (4) content. The application of learning writing pantun with using picture media is done with identification step of things which it exist at the picture, choosing a words which based on the picture, and arrange the words to be sentences of pantun. The result of analysis at the cycle I that there are six students from the total of the students is 21 students which achieve the individual learning completeness. Individual learning of completeness which decided in the SD Inpres Kalukubula at the indonesian language subject is 70. The table above show that the sum of the students which had the learning completeness is 6 students. It is that the individual learning completeness achieve 28,5%. Whereas the students which not yet achieve learning completeness is 15 students (71,42%). There is the result of analysis at the cycle II that completeness of achievement learning result of the students at the writing pantun learning with using picture media in the cycle II had achieve classical mnimal completeness criteria, it is 90%. Therefore, it can be concluded learning of  writing pantun with using picture media at the cycle II had succes to improve the students ability in writing pantun.
