Abstract

This study is inspired by the potency of positive school culture in enhancing education quality, especially within the madrasah environment. A strong school culture has been considered crucial, but efforts toward strong strategic management to support the school culture still face many challenges. Among the most urgent issues are adjustments to the constantly evolving standards for accreditation, such as the 2020 Accreditation Certification Tool. The present study analyzes how strategic management influences the school culture to achieve standards in MIN Bandung. This case study, using a qualitative approach, has collected data through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic techniques in identifying management patterns that support school culture. It is observed that MIN Bandung can instill into the culture the values of honesty, cooperation, and compassion, so that student motivation positively influences performance. On the contrary, what needs to be faced in the current era is the sustainability of value implementation and resource limitation. The conclusion suggests that the strategy should become more adaptive and holistic to be compatible with the 2020 accreditation standards. Keywords: Strategic management, school culture, accreditation.

Abstract

This study examines the motivations behind students’ choices to pursue a major in Primary Islamic Education Teacher Training (PGMI) at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. PGMI aims to prepare graduates with competencies in foundational Islamic education and child development, equipping them to be creative, productive, and independent educators. Given the varied internal and external motivations influencing student decisions, understanding these motivations is essential, as they play a crucial role in academic success and career satisfaction. Accurate choice of major can significantly impact student achievement and future opportunities, while an inappropriate choice may hinder career potential. Employing a quantitative, descriptive-exploratory approach, this study seeks to answer the question, "What motivates students to choose PGMI as their major?" Participants included PGMI students from the 2019 cohort at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Data collection involved questionnaires and observations, with results analyzed through descriptive statistics. Findings revealed two primary motivational factors influencing students’ choice of PGMI: (1) a strong aspiration to become teachers and (2) respect for parental expectations. This research contributes insights into student motivation, supporting universities in aligning programs with student interests and career goals. Keywords: Student Motivation, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, PGMI, Major Selection, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Ar-Raniry, Career Motivation

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there are differences in short story writing skills between students who were given the picture and picture learning model and students who were given the conventional learning model in class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1, Tangerang Regency. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population subjects in this study were class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1 Tangerang Regency, taking a sample of two classes totaling 54 students, namely class IV A totaling 27 students as the experimental class and class IV B totaling 27 students as the control class. Data collection techniques using short story writing skills test instruments, observation, interviews and documentation. To test the pretest hypothesis in this study using the t test, from the t test results obtained tcount = 1.8658 and ttable = 2.0066, this difference of 0.1408 shows that the tcount value is slightly lower than ttable, it can be concluded that there is no difference in results between the experimental class and the control class. Meanwhile, for testing the posttest hypothesis, the results of the t test obtained tcount = 11.3936 and ttable = 2.0066, so it can be concluded that the picture and picture learning model has an influence on the short story writing skills of class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1, Tangerang Regency. Keywords: Picture and Picture Learning Model, Short Story Writing Skills

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of I-Spring-based Digital Comic Media on Pancasila Education subjects in class IV SDN 2 Kutoanyar. By using the ADDIE development model which consists of five main stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, this research begins with problem identification through observations and interviews at the school. The material was developed using Microsoft PowerPoint application and converted into an interactive multimedia format with i-Spring. Media validation was carried out by material experts and media experts, giving 88% and 92% marks respectively, which accumulated to 90%, indicating that the media was very valid. Implementation involved limited trials and extensive trials involving students and teachers, showing excellent practicality with an accumulative score of 93.5% from student and teacher responses, indicating the media was very practical and did not require revision. The effectiveness test through evaluation questions (Post Test) showed positive results, with the average score of students reaching 90.4%, exceeding the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of ≥75, which means that this media is very effective in increasing students' understanding and enthusiasm for Pancasila values material. Thus, I-Spring-based Digital Comic Media can be recommended as a valid, practical, and effective learning media to be applied in Civics education in elementary schools. Keywords: Digital Comic Media for PPKn Learning Development Model ADDIE.

Abstract

The use of appropriate media is a way to overcome and minimize low student achievement. Mathematics is a subject that will certainly feel difficult if taught monotonously. Preliminary study results on March 6, 2023, showed that learning outcomes in class IV-A at MIN 26 Aceh Besar were still low, as indicated by only 6 students (21%) out of 28 achieving scores above 73. Thus, the difficulty of mathematics can be used as a benchmark for low student achievement. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation and testing, then analyzed using percentage formulas. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and tests. The results showed an improvement: before entering the cycles, a diagnostic test was conducted with a score of 10.71%, followed by Cycle I with a score of 75%, increasing to 85.71% in Cycle II, and further increasing to 89.28% in Cycle III. Finally, a post-test was conducted, yielding a score of 92.85%. Teacher activity scored 68.18% in Cycle I, increased to 77.08% in Cycle II, and further increased to 87.5% in Cycle III. Student activity results were 60% in Cycle I, increased to 70.90% in Cycle II, and increased to 86.81% in Cycle III. Ultimately, it can be concluded that the use of multifunctional board media can improve student learning outcomes in grade IV.Keywords: Multifunctional Board Media, The Learning Outcomes.
