Abstract

One of the great challenges that must be faced and soon resolved in Indonesia isthe character of the learner. Therefore, school education has an important rolein building the character of students in Indonesia. This study aims to determinethe teacher resources in the implementation of character education policy inSMPN 1 Plosoklaten. This research is a qualitative research with case studyapproach. The results of this study indicate that the existing teacher resources inPlosoklaten still require guidance and supervision, because the implementationof the policy listed in Permendikbud No. 23 2016 still as a formality, so thecharacter of students in SMPN 1 Plosoklaten still not maximal.Keywords: teacher resources, policy implementation, character education

Abstract

This action research is aimed at improving the student’s interest and achievement in mathematics on the topic of flat plane using think pair share (TPS). The subject of this research were 36 students of grade 7, of Muhammadiyah Junior High School of Sumbang. This is a classroom action research with three cycles each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, evaluating, and reflecting. The data was collected using questionnaire, observation a\, and test. The result was that the mean of student’s interest was 39.97 in cycle 1 and using observation sheet the mean score is 16.67%. The mean of the students’ achievement. The result in student’s interest in cycle 2 was 47.71 and the result with observation sheet was 17.78%. The students’ achievement mean was 67.56. The research result on student’s interest in cycle 3 was 48.94 and using observation sheet the mean percentage was23.89%. The mean of the students’ achievement was 70.54%. The conclusion was that TPS could improve the students interest and achievement in mathematics. Key words: interest, achievement, think pair share

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe school is a social institution whose existence is part of the nation's social system which aimsto produce capable, democratic, responsible, faithful, faithful, physically and spiritually healthyindividuals, possessing knowledge and skills, having a steady and independent personality. Inorder to achieve these objectives a strong curriculum is needed, both infrastructure andsuperstructure. The research aims to reveal strategies to improve the quality of education throughthe management of facilities and infrastructure in Singkawang 1 Vocational High School (SMK)with a focus on: 1). Facilities and infrastructure planning in Singkawang State Vocational School1, 2). Utilization of facilities and infrastructure in State Vocational School 1 Singkawang, 3).Monitoring of Facilities and Infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang, 4). Reporting onfacilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang, 5). Obstacles encountered in facilitiesand infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. The research method used is descriptiveresearch with a qualitative approach. Data validity is done by data triangulation, technicaltriagulation and member checking. Then the interactive data analysis with data reduction, datapresentation, conclusion or verification. The results showed that: 1). facility and infrastructureprogram planning has been made by the student department to develop facilities in schoolactivities. 2). The use of facilities and infrastructure is implemented in accordance with thelearning needs of each teacher and regulated and monitored in an orderly manner, 3).Supervision of facilities and infrastructure has been done directly by the school principal, 4).Reporting has been carried out regularly by the vice-principal on student affairs to the principal,5). Constraints faced in facilities and infrastructure are financing both for procurement andmaintenance. Based on the results of the study suggested the following things: 1) The principalis expected to optimize supervision of all activities that have been planned so that the specifiedgoals can be achieved. 2) Need to involve the community in the procurement of financing andmaintenance of facilities and infrastructure. 3) Teachers, administration is expected to beinvolved in the management of facilities and infrastructure.Keywords: Strategy, Education Quality, Management of Facilities and Infrastructure.

Abstract

Film is entertainment for people who are able to penetrate the social class boundaries. The ability to reach various segments of the film class, film making has the potential to affect masyarakt audience. Strategic value of the film not only serves as entertainment, the film has the potential as a medium of education, which can effectively communicate educational messages, and even be able to influence a person's behavior. This is the one of the spirit for student filmmakers in Purbalingga, Banyumas, Cilacap and Banjarnegara continues to be creative by producing indie films. Film is the medium for the message menyampaiakn, storytelling and expression. As with any work of literature (novels, short stories, drama, theater), in the film there is also a story, the scene, dialogue, scene, conflict, character, character, and setting. One of the benefits is being able to visualize movie various human characters so that it can easily intervene or influence the minds of the audience. This is where the potential effectiveness of the film in instilling moral values as part of the educational aspect of the nation's character.

Abstract

Teachers would work professionally when they have high work motivation because it is such a mental boost that comes from inside and outside of themselves which help to carry out the task of achieving the goals / objectives that have been set with full of awareness and responsibility. The aims of this study are to determine the effect of: participatory leadership, toward teachers’ work motivation partially and simultaneously. This study used quantitative approach. Among 287 populations of public junior high school teachers in Pemalang district, 167 respondents were chosen using the proportional random sampling technique. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis, classic assumption test and regression test using SPSS version 17 for Windows. The results shows that (1) simple regression test for variable X on Y obtained the correlation value (r) = 0.915, meaning that the correlation was incredibly strong, with Adjusted R2 = 0.837, meaning that the influence of participatory leadership on teachers’ work motivation is 83.7% and remaining at 16,3% accounting teacher performance is determined by factors other than research.Keywords: Participatory Leadership, Teachers’ Work Motivation

Abstract

The goal of the research was to develop a comprehension based reading model through graphic organizers. The subjects of the research were fourth semester students of English Education Department of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. The test was aimed at getting clear descriptions on the students’ reading comprehension. The result of data analysis showed that most reading classes (>80) still applied teacher centered approach, even though the teacher did not apply reading classes in rhetoric way anymore. From the observation, it was clear that the exercises designed were not exactly based on contextual understanding. Exercises on difficult words were still much focused on a lexically based work out. Besides that, the reading instructions did not really focus on the whole text content comprehension as the exercises were much oriented on partial comprehension questions, for example just by asking and discussing the main idea of paragraphs. To make the instructions even worse, the teacher did not have a good mind set in applying cooperative nor collaborative learning activities. Some good points the teacher had were on no reading aloud and translation activities. The questionnaire result showed that the student’s interest was not as high as we expected. The test result on their comprehension in their pre-test only showed 47. 50. To solve this problem, the reading classes applied graphic organizers in cooperative and collaborative learning activities. After treatments, the result of their comprehension developed well, from pre-test score 47. 50 to 56. 13 in their post test. This means that their comprehension achievement improved 18.17 %. After having well-rehearsed in reading on graphic organizers, the students did not only get better comprehension results but they also had better-than-desired involvement in classroom activities. Students also commented that they had better understanding and better psychological feeling in reading English texts. Abstract

AbstractThe Government recognizes the need to improve the quality of education as a tool toimprove the quality of human resources. One of them through government policyrequires basic education in order to achieve competitiveness of resources. This studyaims to find out how this policy is implemented in an area in the aspect ofcommunication and socialization. The method used is through qualitative descriptiveapproach. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation anddocumentation, data analysis used by data condensation, data display, and conclusion,data validity is done by checking credibility, dependency, and confirmability. Theresults of this study indicate that 100% of children in Ngadiluwih who graduated fromprimary school went to the next level, and the drop out rate in junior high school onlyreached 0.6%.Keywords: education policy, Compulsory Learning, communication.

Abstract

Curriculum is an important element in an education. Because the curriculum provides direction and purpose where education will be brought. Therefore, changes and changes in curriculum are routines that are adapted to the demands of changing times. Similarly, the national education curriculum in school s has undergone several changes. The last is the 2013 curriculum. But in reality, most teachers are not ready for the curriculum changes. Because some teachers are not involved in the 2013 curriculum socialization and the information obtained comes from mass media and electronics. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the professional competencies of PAI teachers in the fields of planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. The survey method was chosen as the methodology of this study, with a sample of 62 PAI teachers in East Aceh. The results showed that 1) PAI teachers in East Aceh did not have competencies in the field of learning planning; 2) however, they are able to understand and implement PAI learning with a scientific approach; and 3) PAI teachers are also competent in conducting evaluations with authentic assessments. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for efforts to improve learning planning and the development of PAI teacher professionalism in a better direction so that the objectives of national education especially PAI subjects can be achieved optimally. Keywords: Teacher professionalism, 2013 curriculum, and Islamic religious education

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study entitled “Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPS Melalui Metode Two Stay Two Straypada Siswa Kelas V SDN Cempaka Baru 01 Jakarta Pusat”. The subject of this researchis the grade V. This study departs from the background of the results of the study subjectsare still low, IPS under KKM. So author moved to find the cause and try to improve thelearning outcomes through learning methods two stay two stray (tsts). As for the purposeof this research is to improve the learning outcomes of students of class V SDN CempakaBaru 01 on social science subjects.The method used is the class action Research withtwo cycles of hypothesis method with two stay two stray can improve the learning resultsof IPS on grade V in SDN Cempaka Baru 01. The results showed that the method canimprove the learning results of tsts cognitive, affective and psychomotor the students insocial science subjects. The results of the student learning experience an increase inclassical and individually. This is due to the use of cooperative learning model of typetwo stay two stray has involved students learn actively and enhance their understandingof the material being taught. In Cycle I, students who complete of 44.83%, cycle II of93.10%. While in the realm of affective in cycle I are classical space being in thecategory is good enough and in cycle II are in the category either. And in the realm ofpsychomotor, in classical average cycle I showed enough skilled category and on cycleII shows the category of skilled.Keywords: two stay two stray, the results of the study, IPS.

Abstract

The research focuses on contextual speaking in teaching. It is explained teaching using literary works. The urgency of the research were based on some pitfalls from the previous class, speaking 2, such as: 1) Students understood about grammar, but they couldn’t apply it in their daily life; 2) Students couldn’t have a good conversation in everyday activities; 3) Teachers taught speaking based on topics, so that students couldn’t apply it; 4) Students had not got enough exposure yet in the classroom, so they could not have self regulated learning; 5) students got problems on their fluency in speaking. The method was used are interview and test.the aims Interview for gaining students’ problems and test for measuring students’ performance in speaking. The pictures of the research are process , dialog, performance (as a result). The result of the research is 5 ctiteria given. For comprehension and performance have very good results. For pronunciation has 78.26%, vocabulary has 69.56%, and grammar has 73.91%. Keywords: speaking contextual, speaking, literary works.
