Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of peer review for teaching English sentence writing skill to university students in Central Java, Indonesia. An experimental group was treated by implementing peer review, but a control group was not treated. For collecting the data, both groups were given test: pre test and post test. After analyzing using t-test formula, the result showed that t-value (2,890) was higher than t-table (2,048). Therefore, peer review was effective for teaching English sentence writing skill. Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of the mental revolution program inJokowi-JK Government viewed from the perspective of Civics. This research usedqualitative approach which descriptive method of analysis. Collecting data andinformation in research used study documentation and interview. From the results ofresearch known that the form of mental revolution is more done in the bureaucracy inthe form of coaching efforts to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in order to serve thecommunity as well as possible. The form of mental revolution in schools in the form ofSchool Introduction activities that contain mental revolution. While in universities inthe form of activities of KKN Thematic GNRM. The form of mental revolution in thecommunity is done through the cooperation of 13 components of society with ASN.Citizenship education is a major demand in the Mental Revolution because there is acivic virtue that can shape individual identity through citizenship.Keywords: civic educations,mental revolution

Abstract

This instrument is aimed at improving studen’ts motivation and achievement of the students in class C of the PGSD Department of UMP. The 47 students was divided into 12 groups of 3-5 members. The development of the instrument was carried out through classroom action research consisting of 4 cycles. This research lasted for four months. Each cycles was done according to the obtained change, design and factor under investigation. To obtain data on students motivation, achievement, and response to the use of cooperative learning tipe TAI, questionaire and individual quizd as well as group assignment were used. The result showed that there was an improvement on those aspect due to the implementation of TAI using the quizes I through IV of the mid term test, individual quiz and group assignment. Key words : Type TAI of cooperative learning, motivation, learning achievement, assessment tool.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the process of planting and distributing rubber products inSintang, and the process of rubber trading in Sintang in the early 20th century. Researchconducted by the historical method, the data obtained using oral history in the form ofinterviews and analyzing documents. The results showed that rubber plantations inSintang were scattered in several regions, one of which was located in Nanga JetakVillage. The preparation of the sap seeds has been prepared by the Dutch Indiesbusinessman, then distributed to various regions in Sintang. Cultivation of rubber plantswas carried out by indigenous people and assisted by Javanese people who werecontacted by Dutch Indies businessmen as rubber farmers. Rubber plantations aremanaged by Dutch Indies businessmen and some Chinese. Rubber that has beenprocessed into sap is sent to the kingdom of Sintang through the Melawi River and theDutch East Indies Government in Pontianak via the Kapuas RiverKeyword: rubber plantation, Sintang, social-economic history.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAttention to the issue of education is still lacking emotional intelligencedevelopment, but success is not determined by intelligence (IQ) alone, but rather by theemotional intelligence (EQ). Science learning process using appropriate methods andapproaches can improve emotional intelligence. Therefore the development of researchinquiry learning SETS vision on the concept of the digestive tract. The purpose ofresearch for new product development, testing the validity and effectiveness of theproduct in improving EQ and student achievement. Research methods research anddevelopment (R and D). Limited scale test was conducted in a classroom, using onesingle shot design case study. Large scale test was conducted in a control class, and twoexperimental class, using pretest-posttest designs control group. Research subjects inclass XI Science SMAN 3 Pekalongan. Test results show a valid product (criterion>0.81), the percentage achieving grades EQ experimental class > class control. T testresults showed t = 42.681 > t table = 2.025. Achievement of learning experimental class> class control. Conclusions of research, product development of valid and effective forimproving EQ and student achievement. Products recommended to be a reference devicedevelopment and learning to improve student achievement EQ.Keywords: Learning Inquiry, SETS, Emotional Intelligence

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the understanding of local history with tolerance education students history IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The variables in this study are as follows, namely: 1) The independent variables, namely "understanding of local history", 2) The dependent variable, namely "tolerance". The method used in this research is descriptive method, with the form of research studies the relationship. Total population sample of 139 college students and 40 students of fourth semester majoring in history education, data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques and techniques of documentary studies. Research tool used in the form of a questionnaire. While the data processing techniques used formula r product moment. The conclusion from this study indicate that: "There is a relationship between the understanding of local history with tolerance education students history IKIP PGRI Pontianak ". The conclusion is evident in the calculation of the data shows that there is a relationship of 0.822 with the category of "Very Strong". Keywords: local history, tolerance

Abstract

Indonesia has its national language which is used in daily life. The national language becomes the part of curriculum taught in schools. However, English is also taught since elementary schools until college. It has sought as a compulsory subject. Since English is not spoken in daily life, the students feel difficult to master English well. The first language affected their English learning. The solution to the problem is that teacher should have fruitful strategy to teach English to the students. Having contrastive analysis of copula will be useful for the teachers. They will be able to understand the different things appeared among the two languages. Moreover, they will know what methods and techniques appropriate for them to apply in their class. Abstract

This research departed from the problems that arise related to the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum subjects, especially Islamic Education in Muhammadiyah Pakem Elementary School, the maximum has not been as expected. The objectives of this study are (1) to be able to find out how the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Islamic Education subjects, (2) to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at SD Muhammadiyah Pakem. The method of this research is by unstructured interviews and direct observation. The result of this study is SD Muhammadiyah Pakem has implemented the 2013 PAI curriculum especially in the learning process, but its assessment still uses KTSP assessment. This is due to the lack of clarity related to the device or application used for the 2013 Curriculum assessment. The supporting factors for the implementation of the 2013 PAI Curriculum are the existence of adequate human resources, the existence of teachers who are mostly young and energetic. The inhibiting factor is the lack of availability of facilities and infrastructure that support the learning process, as well as the absence of the 2013 PAI curriculum assessment application. The conclusion is that the implementation of the 2013 PAI curriculum has been implemented at Muhammadiyah Pakem Elementary School in the learning process, while its assessment still uses the KTSP assessment. This is inseparable from supporting factors and the accompanying inhibitors. Keywords: implementation, Islamic education, curriculum

Abstract

Point of view from this research is : what is the effort to develop education game tool can increase economic velue of waste wood and quality of teaching in Kindergarten in some aspects like students creativity, developing of cognitif, idea power, creativity power, psicomotoric, emotion, social and language of students ? The aim of this research are divided into two kinds ; a.Long range aim and b. Short range aim. Long range aim from this research are to build corporation among university ( Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto whit Education Institution of Early Age ( 1st, 2nd and 3rd Government Kindergarten of Dukuhwaluh Village, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. Advantage from this research are ; 1. Advantage from society economic view with encreasing of their income and opened of new job vacancy for wood craft with miking educative game tool made by waste wood; 2. Advantage from technology and science can add or enrich educatif game tool for education institution of early age; 3. Advantage for Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto can get data from result of this research about influence of Kindergarten; 4. Advantage for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Government Kindergarten of Dukuhwaluh Village is gotten Educative Game Tool as cooperation with Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto.Variable from this research are; increasing economic value of waste wood, wood craft creativity in making Educative Game Tool, creativity of Kindergarten Teacher in applicating of educative game tool. Method of collecting data from this research are observation, interview and documentation. Method of data analysis use statistic analysis of frecuensy distribution and fenomenologic. Conclution from this research are ; 1. Developing of educative game tool can increase economic value of waste wood; 2. Creativity of wood craft can be increased by making educative game tool; 3. Kindergarten Teacher can increase their creativity by applicating educative game tool in teaching activities either increasing of their process quality or students result; 4. Using educative game tool can add motivation and develop happines condition in teaching activities so can increase students creativity, cognitif, idea power, creativity power, psicomotoric, emotion, social and their language. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article presents the result of implementing Problem-based Learning throughLesson Study in Civics class as an effort of enhancing students’ participation andcollaboration during class discussions. The implementation of Problem-based Learningthrough Lesson Study was conducted in a private school under Muhammadiyahorganization in Distric Purbalingga, Central Java, namely MTs Muhammadiyah 01Purbalingga. In Civics Class at the school investigated, the learning process wascommonly dominated by lecturing session which made the students passive and foundmonotonous atmosphere of learning which consequently resulted on meaninglesslearning. This condition affected to the students’ activeness which belonged to lowcategory. Therefore a better design of learning by implementing Problem-basedLearning through Lesson Study was needed to cope with the problem. Lesson Study wasdone in 2 cycles and is still continuing until now. The action was intended to make thestudents more active and participative during the Civics lesson especially in classdiscussion sessions. The method which was used is qualitative method with 36 studentsin grade 8E of MTs Muhammadiyah 01 Purbalingga participated. During two times ofplan-do-see actions in Lesson Study, 8 of 9 groups in Civics class or 80% of the wholestudents was good at participating in group and class discussions. The finding found inthe two cycles of Lesson Study gives a proof that the implementation of Problem-basedLearning contributes positively to the students’ participation and collaboration in Civicsclass.Keywords: Plan, Do, See, Participation, Collaboration
