Abstract

This study investigates the influence of conscientiousness personality trait on psychological well-being of married individuals facing complex life issues. The attainment of psychological well-being is essential for individuals to cope and thrive during challenging times. Conscientiousness trait is known to promote commitment and a drive to achieve life goals, which can positively affect psychological well-being of married individuals. The study adopts a quantitative approach with 144 married participants (92 females and 52 males) aged 21-63 years. The primary analytical techniques use simple regression and correlation as additional analyses to examine the relationship between conscientiousness and psychological well-being, as well as the dimensions of both variables. The results show that conscientiousness has an influence on psychological well-being, and correlates with all aspects of the variable.

Abstract

Stunting, a condition characterized by poor growth and development, has become a significant public health concern in Indonesia. Therefore, the current study adopts a correlational design and aims to explore the relationship between family quality of life, psychosocial environment, and the growth and development of under-two-year-old infants from low socioeconomic status. To conduct the study, 720 mothers were selected through cluster sampling in Pandeglang Regency. Family quality of life and psychosocial environment were measured using the BC-FQoL and HOME-SF tools, respectively. Nutritional status was determined based on height-for-age (H/A) and weight-for-age (W/A) to evaluate growth and development. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between family quality of life, psychosocial environment, and nutritional status. Weight-for-age had a weak but significant relationship with emotional well-being, family interaction, and emotional psychosocial stimulation. Height-for-age was only related to emotional well-being, indicating the need to consider the psychosocial situation and family involvement in caring for infants.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze development of an instrument that measures the level of readiness of Islamic Education (PAI) prospective teachers in conducting inclusive learning. The process was conducted by investigating three important indicators, namely: (1) motivation and value, (2) content-related, and (3) operational and pragmatist. The method employed was a non-experimental quantitative design which was considered a pilot test. Data were collected from 144 samples of PAI students who are prospective teachers from two private universities in Yogyakarta, and the tool used was a questionnaire which was analyzed using Rasch Model measurement software called WINSTEPS. Furthermore, it was used to determine the validity and reliability of items, respondents, and instrument. The results showed that development of readiness instrument in conducting inclusive learning using Rasch model consisted of 34 items with a coefficient of instrument, item, and respondent reliability of 92, 90, and 92, respectively. Therefore, it was discovered that instrument has good psychometric properties and can be used effectively.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify factors shaping phubbing behavior among adolescents in West Java. The research used mixed methods, including a qualitative stage to examine item themes with 100 respondents and a quantitative stage to identify psychometric characteristics with 1,016 respondents. The data analysis technique employed in the qualitative stage was open coding, while the quantitative stage involved two techniques, specifically Exploratory Factors Analysis (EFA) and measurement model testing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the data. The results showed that the instrument construct has high-reliability coefficients (α = .79). The convergent validity value shows outer loadings > .7 and AVE > .5, and discriminant validity with cross-loading and Fornell-Lacker higher than other latent variables. Typical factors shaping phubbing behavior are found among adolescents, including withdrawal, compulsion, and euphoria.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited knowledge of teachers in creating visual support programs for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). It is essential for teachers to increase their knowledge base in creating programs specifically designed for ASD children. Therefore, this study aims to empirically examine the effect of a visual support program to increase the knowledge of teachers in creating visual support programs for ASD children using a pre-experiment with one group pretest-post test design. The participants are nine teachers of ASD children, and non-parametric statistical analysis is conducted to test the difference in knowledge scores before and after administering the program. The results show that the visual support programs effectively increases the knowledge of teachers in making visual support with sig. .01 and effect size of 72%.

Abstract

Previous reports have shown that there are several inconsistencies in the results of studies on the effect of concern for others and perspective-taking on moral disengagement. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of concern for others and perspective-taking on moral disengagement, moderated by social values among Islamic boarding school students in West Java. A causal correlation was used along with a structural design, involving 370 respondents. Data collection was carried out using the concern for others (CoF), perspective taking (PT), social values (SV), and moral disengagement (MD) scales. The results showed that social values played a significant role as a moderator variable in the effect of concern for others and perspective-taking on moral disengagement. Based on the results, social values had a role in reducing moral disengagement.

Abstract

Previous studies on radicalism among Islamic school students mostly focused on those residing in boarding schools. However, some students did not reside in the boarding school but usually participated in radicalism as "non-resident students". This study aimed to examine the influence of religious attitudes on radical behavior among non-resident students. A quantitative correlational approach was used and involved 100 subjects aged 12-20 years from 10 boarding schools in Cirebon Regency, West Java. The results showed that religious attitudes significantly influenced radical behavior of non-resident students, with a contribution of 32%.

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate efficacy of Odoo Human Capital Training (OHCT) using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method to optimize Enterprise Resource Planning Efficacy (ERPE) in a minimal contact environment. A purposive sampling technique was used to select forty participants from Psychology and Management study program, and divided into experimental and control groups. The nonequivalent control group design was employed with pretest and posttest, and the experimental group was subjected to a rigorous training program of 4-5 hours of training per day. Meanwhile, ERP-Efficacy Questionnaire (ERP-EQ) was used to measure ERPE, and data analysis was analyzed using the Non-Parametric Friedman Test. The results showed that OHCT can improve ERPE between pretest, posttest, and follow-up (χ2 (2, n = 20) = 27.195, p < .05), compared to the control group (χ2 (2, n = 20) = 4.081, p > .05). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that OHCT can improve ERPE in students.

Abstract

This experimental research investigated the effect of performance anticipation on students recognition in the context of online learning. Data were collected through online presentation via Zoom and analyzed with between-participants posttest-only control group design. The data collected comprised 69 students aged 17 to 20 years with mean and SD of 18.09 years and 0.59, respectively. The confederate, experimental, and control groups conducted the presentation in the first, second, and zero order. The results showed a significant difference between the control and experimental groups in recognition scores (p = .011), which decreased performance anticipation of student’s recognition ability in online learning contexts. The findings can be utilized by educators to design learning scenarios needed to optimize students understanding of presentation materials and lectures. Furthermore, presentations should be scheduled at the beginning of the class and limited to one per session.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the perspective of the psychological assessment team on the factors influencing parental acceptance of students with disabilities. A qualitative design was used through a case study, with data gathered through in-depth interviews comprising four key participants, specifically two Psychologists and two Psychological Counsellors at Rumah Duta Revolusi Mental. The findings showed seven factors that either support or prevent parental acceptance of students with disabilities. The supporting elements include Knowledge, a Proactive and Open Attitude, Social Support, Financial Assistance and Capability, Availability of Facilities and Service Access, Experience, and Spirituality. Conversely, the preventing factors comprise Negative Stigma, Anxiety, Lack of Knowledge/Literacy, Maladaptive Beliefs, Negative Experience with Prior Services, Limited Financial Resources, and Limited Access and Infrastructure. Based on these findings, the study recommends that Semarang City should actively develop innovative policies to enhance parental acceptance of students with disabilities, addressing the identified factors comprehensively.
