Abstract

Zaim Saidi, in his academic argumentation, states that current banking practices are in a state of comfort, resulting in the neglect of several sharia provisions under the argument that they are not yet prepared to implement them because they are still in a transitional period. Subsequently, Zaim Saidi asserted that Islamic banking and conventional banking are not entirely equivalent, but rather only 99.9% so. Islamic institutions may be exempt from the interest system; however, it is nearly impossible to be exempt from the usury system. The research question is as follows: "What is Zaim Saidi's conceptual framework regarding Islamic banking in Indonesia?" This research is a qualitative study that is equivalent to descriptive research methods. It employs data-driven analysis, utilizing existing theories as supporting material, and generating theories. This qualitative research pertains to normative data that is closely associated with bibliographic data. Consequently, this form of research is classified as library research. This investigation identified three critiques of Islamic banking by Zaim Saidi: fiat money is usury, the application of the wadi'ah and mudharabah contracts in deposits at Islamic banks is flawed, and murabahah is an illegal transaction. Zaim Saidi's foundational reasoning in Islamic jurisprudence is predicated on the perspectives of classical scholars who articulate their arguments in a more textual manner. In this instance, the bank's intermediation function is undermined, and significant costs are incurred because of the conflict between international regulations and the implementation of Zaim Saidi's concepts in Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Inflation, ROA, FDR, and financing on the NPF in Indonesia Islamic Banks. The research employs a quantitative approach and an associative research design. Secondary data is utilized for the study, with a monthly time series spanning the period 2011-2021. The analysis is conducted using OLS analysis with the R Studio 4.1.3 software. The results of this study indicate that, in partial terms: 1) The inflation variable has a significant positive impact on NPF individually; 2) The ROA variable has a significant negative impact on NPF individually; 3) The FDR variable has a non-significant positive impact on NPF individually; 4) The total financing variable has a significant negative impact on NPF individually; 5) Simultaneously, there is a significant influence of Inflation, ROA, FDR, and Total Financing on NPF. There was no growth in NPF in Indonesian Islamic Banks following the Covid-19 epidemic. On the contrary, NPF decreased compared to the previous year, which was 2019. This was attributed to Islamic banks extending financing to the real sector. Additionally, the government issued policies related to financing restructuring through the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 11/POJK.03/2020 concerning National Economic Stimulus as a Countercyclical Policy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of sharia hotel services and sharia service management of the hospitality industry in Indonesia in the perspective of dakwah bil hal. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method of literature review approach. Data sources from scientific articles, as well as related regulatory policies. The articles reviewed were obtained from google scholar with the keyword sharia hotel service management with a total of 122 initial articles obtained then selected by applying accreditation criteria and years so that 23 articles were obtained. The results of this study indicate that the hotel industry has the potential to comply with sharia in terms of rules, amenity, technological innovation, prospects for the hospitality and tourism industry. Amenity fulfilment is fulfilled by worship equipment, easy reservation process, and rules related to sharia hotel operations. However, it was found that hotels have not implemented sharia financial systems and there is sharia labelling on hotels in Indonesia but not yet officially certified by MUI. Sharia service management began to be planned by complying with the DSN-MUI fatwa No. 108/2016 with muslim human resources, able to read the Qur'an, and understand the basic principles of Islam. In its implementation, it requires cooperation with the community, government and is supervised by the sharia supervisory board. The implementation of sharia service management in the hospitality industry is needed as a form of khidmad Islamic da'wah values through compliance with sharia rules.

Abstract

This study aims to identify ways to optimize the management of productive waqf through the collaboration of stakeholders, including government, academics, and the community. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through focused group discussion (FGD) and interviews with nazir, wakif, and related agencies. The results showed that the optimization of waqf management requires the active role of all parties to ensure that waqf management runs transparently and productively. Waqf education and literacy through digital media, including the use of Quick Response Code (QR Code), as well as digital payment platforms such as Link Aja Syariah and OVO, are the main strategies in increasing waqf awareness. Nazir is also required to run a transparent program with detailed and measurable reporting of funds. This study recommends increasing nazir capacity, revising regulations related to incentives for waqf managers, and encouraging active participation of academics and the government in the development of more effective productive waqf.

Abstract

The expansion of the South Korean entertainment sector, particularly the K-Pop phenomenon, has had a tremendous influence on several nations, including Indonesia. In 2023, K-Pop goods sales increased by 74% compared to the previous year. This K-Pop cultural practice encourages fans to spend money on products from idol groups they adore, often without thinking about the long-term financial implications. This research seeks to investigate the impact of sharia financial literacy and K-Pop culture on K-Pop product purchase decisions among fans in Indonesia, specifically among the K-Popers community in Medan. This study employs a quantitative approach with a survey technique to determine the association between independent factors (sharia financial literacy and K-Pop culture) and the dependent variable (buy decisions of K-Pop items), with a sample size of 96 respondents. The study indicates that sharia financial literacy positively impacts purchasing decisions (t = 7.543, p 0.005). This is consistent with prior study, which found that financial literacy plays a major influence in purchasing decisions, particularly in the setting of Sharia, which emphasises prudent financial management in accordance with Islamic principles. The t-test study demonstrates that K-Pop culture has a positive and substantial impact on purchase decisions (t = 3.616, p 0.005), consistent with earlier studies suggesting that culture influences an individual's preferences and purchasing choices.
