Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan serta mengetahui kelayakan dan kemenarikan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis literasi Islam yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan software 3D pageflip professional.  Media yang dikembangkan berupa flipbook untuk materi dinamika partikel. Hasil prapenelitian yang dilakukan di beberapa SMA terutama di MA menunjukkan bahwa perlu dikembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis literasi Islam ini. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan sesuai tahapan model pengembangan ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation). Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis literasi Islam yang sangat layak dan sangat menarik untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran fisika SMA/MA. Flipbook based on Islamic literacy: The development of physics learning media using 3D pageflip professional AbstractThis study aims to develop and determine the feasibility and attractiveness of Islamic literacy-based physics learning media developed using professional pageflip 3D software. The media developed is a flipbook for particle dynamics material. The results of pre-research conducted in several high schools, especially in MA, show that it is necessary to develop this Islamic literacy-based learning media. This type of research is development research carried out according to the stages of the ADDIE development model (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). This study resulted in Islamic literacy-based physics learning media that was very feasible and very interesting to use as a medium of physics learning for SMA / MA.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis instrumen kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dengan mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir kritis. Responden sebanyak 90 peserta didik yang diambil dari 3 SMK yang ada di kota Surakarta. Analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak (software) analisis Iteman versi 3.0 dan  Winstep versi 3.73. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis ini yaitu metode tes klasik yaitu Iteman dan pemodelan Rasch. Hasil analisis dengan pemodelan Iteman diperoleh nilai Alpha Cronbach 0,80 berarti reliabilitas dari soal ini tinggi. Sedangkan dengan model Rasch Alpha Cronbach 0,74 berarti reliabilitas antara person dan item, sedangkan reliabilitas item 0,95 yang berarti item instrumen sangat bagus. Validitas item 0,93 menunjukkan soal dapat mengukur dan diperkuat dengan separation 4,34 item soal ini mempunyai sebaran respon yang baik. Instrumen kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat digunakan untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Iteman and rasch model analysis on the development of critical thinking instruments for vocational school students AbstractThe aimed of this study is to analyze the instrument of critical thinking skills. This research is quantitative research. Data was obtained by developing instruments for assessing critical thinking skills. Respondents were 90 students that taken from 3 Vocational Schools in Surakarta. Data analysis was using Iteman analysis software version 3.0 and Winstep version 3.73. The method used in this analysis were the classic test method, iteman and rasch models. The results of the analysis with iteman modeling obtained the Alpha Cronbach value of 0,800 means that the reliability of this problem was high. Whereas with the Rasch Alpha Cronbach model 0,74 means the reliability between person and item, while the reliability of the item is 0.95 which means the instrument item was very good. The validity of item 0.93 shows that the problem can be measured and reinforced with separation 4,34 items this question has a good distribution of responses. The instrument of critical thinking skills can be used for further research.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas Elclivs berbasis Inquiry untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa tunanetra pada materi rangkaian listrik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain one-group prettest-posttest. Partisipan yang digunakan yaitu siswa tunanetra kelas IX di SLB A Dria Adi dan SLB A YAAT. Berdasarkan hasil uji gain standar, 3 dari 5 siswa yang mengikuti pretes dan postes menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan konsep yang baik. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Elclivs berbasis Inquiry belum signifikan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Perhitungan bilangan pecahan merupakan kelemahan utama siswa tunanetra dalam menguasai konsep rangkaian listrik. Namun, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar, antusiame dan penalaran siswa saat mengikuti pembelajaran meningkat melalui penerapan Elclivs berbasis Inquiry. Keterampilan berhitung dalam hal ini hanya alat bantu untuk menguasai konsep. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa Elclivs dapat menigkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi rangkaian listrik. Elclivs-inquiry based to enhance visual impairment student conceptual understanding in electricity circuit topics   AbstractThe aims of this research to know the effectiveness of Elclivs-Inquiry-based to enhance conceptual understanding on Electricity circuit topics of visual impairment student. One-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was used. IX grade visual impairment students in Dria Adi and YAAT Klaten Special Education School have participated in this research. 3 of 5 students who take the pretest and posttest obtained the good level of conceptual understanding normalized gain. Wilcoxon test was showed that Elclivs-Inquiry-based implementation is not significant to enhance visual impairment student conceptual understanding. Fraction number calculations is the most visual impairment lacks to understanding the electricity circuit concept. However, the observation showed that the learning interest, enthusiasm, and reasoning of student increase by Elclivs-Inquiry-based implementation. Mathematics calculation skill is the tools to obtain the conceptual understanding. So it can conclude that Elclivs can enhance  conceptual understanding of visual impairments students in electricity circuit topics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat penguasaan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil dan Ilir Barat I Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Sampel penelitian ada 4 sekolah yang memiliki akreditasi A dengan jumlah responden 335 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, kuesioner, observasi, dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil dan Ilir Barat I Palembang. Hasil persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA se-Kecamatan Bukit Kecil palembang adalah indikator mengamati dengan persentase 68,18%, mengelompokkan 66,29%, menafsirkan 61,74%, meramalkan 73,48%, merumuskan hipotesis 42,04%, merencanakan percobaan 43,94%,dan mengkomunikasikan 51,89%. Hasil persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Se-Kecamatan Ilir Barat I Palembang adalah indikator mengamati dengan persentase 75,98%, mengelompokkan 77,21%, menafsirkan 62,43%, meramalkan 75,43%, merumuskan hipotesis 49,31%, merencanakan percobaan 53,72%, dan mengkomunikasikan 49,03%. Skills analysis of science process of high school students AbstractThis study aims to determine the percentage level of mastery of science process skills of high school students in Kecamatan Bukit Kecil and Ilir Barat I Palembang. The research method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using reasoned multiple choicequestions. The study sample consisted of 4 schools that had an A accreditation with a total of 335 students. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, questionnaires, observation, documentation and tests. The results of the study were the percentage of science process skills of high school students in Kecamatan Bukit Kecil and Ilir Barat I Palembang. The results of the percentage of science process skills of high school students in Kecamatan Bukit Kecil are indicators observing with a percentage of 68.18%, grouping 66.29%, interpreting 61.74%, forecasting 73.48%, formulating a hypothesis 42.04%, planning an experiment 43.94%, and communicates 51.89%. The results of the percentage of science process skills of high school students in Kecamatan Ilir Barat I Palembang are indicators observing with a percentage of 75.98%, classifying 77.21%, interpreting 62.43%, forecasting 75.43%, formulating a hypothesis 49.31%, planning an experiment 53.72%, and communicates 49.03%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaaran problem based learning yang dibantu dengan media edmodo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one grup pretest posttest. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI penjurusan MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Demak tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Aspek kemandirian yang diteliti meliputi aspek persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket kemandirian belajar, wawancara terhadap siswa dengan kemandirian rendah, sedang, dan tinggi, angket respon siswa, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan penerapan model problem based learning berbantuan edmodo. Berdasarkan analisis hasil penelitian tingkat keefektifan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning berbantuan edmodo adalah 94,11%. Peningkatan kemandirian belajar diketahui dengan menggunakan uji n-gain didapatkan hasil sebesar 0,32 dengan kriteria sedang. Peningkatan kemandirian yang paling optimal terjadi pada indikator evaluasi kegiatan belajar dan penarikan kesimpulan pengalaman belajar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi edmodo dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa. Efforts to increase student self-regulated learning with problem-based learning model use Edmodo AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve students' self-regulated learning by applying model problem based learning use edmodo. The research method is experimental method with one group pretest posttest research design. The subjects of the study were the students of science class grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Demak academic year 2017/2018. The aspects of self-regulated learning examined include aspects of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques used questionnaire of self-regulated learning, interviews of students with low, middle, and high self-regulated learning, student response questionnaires, and learning activity sheet to determine the level of effectiveness of the implementation of problem-based learning model use edmodo. Based on the analysis of research results, the effectiveness level of learning implementation with problem based learning model use edmodo is 94.11%. Increased learning independence is known by using the n-gain test results obtained by 0.32 with middle criteria. The most optimal improvement of independence occurs in indicators of evaluation of learning activities and conclusions of learning experiences. So it can be concluded that the use of edmodo applications in learning can improve student’s self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Materi kimia kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan (Ksp) merupakan salah satu materi yang sulit sehingga dibutuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Constructive Controversy (CC) dan inkuiri terbimbing berdasarkan representasi tetrahedral kimia terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ksp; (2) pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ksp; (3) interaksi antara penerapan model pembelajaran CC dan inkuiri terbimbing berdasarkan representasi tetrahedral kimia dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada materi Ksp. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran CC dan inkuiri terbimbing berdasarkan representasi tetrahedral kimia terhadap prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pada materi Ksp; (2) ada pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan tetapi tidak ada pengaruh terhadap aspek sikap dan keterampilan pada materi Ksp; (3) tidak ada interaksi antara penerapan model pembelajaran CC dan inkuiri terbimbing berdasarkan representasi tetrahedral kimia dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap prestasi belajar aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan pada materi Ksp. Constructive controversy and guided inquiry corresponding to the tetrahedral representation chemistry learning viewed from critical thinking ability AbstractChemical subject of solubility and solubility product constant (Ksp) is one of the materials that is difficult so it needs critical thinking ability. Learning innovation to improve critical thinking skill is very important. This research aimed to determine: (1) the influence of implementing Constructive Controversy (CC) and guided inquiry learning model based on chemical tetrahedral representation towards students achievement on Ksp subject matter; (2) the influence of the student’s critical thinking ability towards students achievement on Ksp subject matter; and (3) the interaction between implementing CC and guided inquiry learning model based on chemical tetrahedral representation with critical thinking ability towards students achievement on Ksp subject matter. This research was quasi experiment research with factorial design of 2x2. The results show that: (1) there is no influence of implementing CC and guided inquiry learning model based on chemical tetrahedral representation towards students achievement of cognitive, affective, and phycomotor aspect on Ksp subject matter; (2) there is an influence of the student’s critical thinking ability towards student’s achievement of cognitive aspect while there is no influence of critical thinking ability toward student’s achievement of affective and phycomotor aspect on Ksp subject matter; (3) there is no interaction between implementing CC and guided inquirylearning model based on chemical tetrahedral representation with  critical thinking ability towards students achievement of cognitive, affective, and phycomotor aspect on Ksp subject matter.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era revolusi industri 4.0 memberikan tantangan kepada siswa agar mampu menghadapi berbagai macam situasi. Siswa sebagai generasi muda yang akan hidup di era tersebut harus memiliki motivasi belajar dan rasa tanggung jawab  yang tinggi. Motivasi siswa akan muncul ketika mereka dihadapkan pada tugas proyek yang harus diselesaikan dalam waktu tertentu, sama halnya dengan rasa tanggung jawab mereka. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan bagaimana pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan rasa tanggung jawab  siswa. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan 34 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) sebagai subjek penelitian. Motivasi dan rasa tanggung jawab siswa diukur dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan motivasi dan rasa tanggung jawab  siswa setelah implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Students’ motivation and responsibility in project-based learning, a classroom action research AbstractTechnological developments in the industrial revolution era 4.0 provide a challenge for students to be able to face a variety of situations. Student, as gold generation, must have the motivation to learn and a high sense of responsibility. Motivation of students will emerge when they are faced with project tasks that must be completed in a certain time, as well as their sense of responsibility. Therefore this study aims to describe how project-based learning can improve students' motivation and sense of responsibility. This qualitative descriptive study uses 34 senior high school students as the research subjects. Motivation and students' responsibility is measured using an observation sheet and questionnaire. The results showed that there was an improvement in students' motivation and sense of responsibility after the implementation of project-based learning.

Abstract

Scientific literacy has become a trend of research in various international research journals. These research trends also influence research trends in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze research related to scientific literacy in Indonesia based on articles published in various national journals. The analysis was conducted in term of methodological approach used and the subjects studied. The analysis was conducted on 138 articles published in various national journals, whether they have been indexed by SCOPUS, DOAJ or other journal indexing agencies. The findings indicate that the application of learning to increase student’s scientific literacy is new research trend in Indonesia and commonly conducted in science major (IPA) with Junior High School students as samples. This study provides an overview of perspectives in scientific literacy research in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pembelajaran POGIL berkonteks SSI terhadap kualitas argumentasi siswa kelas X. Rancangan penelitian adalah mixed-methods. Data kuantitatif berupa tingkat kualitas argumentasi siswa yang diperoleh melalui instrumen tes keterampilan berargumentasi. Data kualitatif berupa hasil wawancara siswa tentang sikap siswa terhadap SSI dan argumentasi siswa pada proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berargumentasi antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan POGIL berkonteks SSI dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan POGIL dan konvensional. Pembelajaran POGIL berkonteks SSI lebih efektif dalam membelajarkan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa dibandingkan dua kelas lainnya berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kualitas argumentasi. The effect of POGIL with socioscientific issues context for high school argumentation skills quality in chemical bonding AbstractThe aim of the study was to examine the influence of POGIL with SSI context on the quality of high school students argumentation. The research design was mixed-methods. Quantitative data in the form of level of students’ argumentation quality collected by instrument of argument skills. Qualitative was the students’ transcript of interview about their attitude toward SSI and their argumentation in process of learning.The results showed that there was a difference in the skills of argumentation between the students who taught with the POGIL with SSI context and the students taught by POGIL and conventional instruction. POGILS with SSI context was more effective in teaching students’ argumentation skills compared to the other classes based on the average score of student argumentation.

Abstract

Terdapat banyak model pembelajaran yang diterapkan untuk menganalisis kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Namun, belum banyak model yang diintegrasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis simulasi online untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Padahal, saat ini ada banyak website simulasi online yang diterbitkan oleh lembaga pendidikan atau universitas di tingkat internasional dan jarang digunakan dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan model pembelajaran inovatif dengan pembelajaran berbasis online simulation untuk meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa. Website simulasi yang digunakan adalah Edu-media simulation. Dalam website ini ada banyak simulasi fisika yang disediakan, tetapi belum banyak penelitian yang menerapkan simulasi ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuasi eksperimen yang terdiri dari satu kelas eksperimen dengan sampel 25 siswa kelas XI MIA 3 di SMA N 1 Prambanan Yogyakarta. Argumentasi ilmiah siswa diukur melalui instrumen tes uraian. Data argumentasi ilmiah siswa dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test  dan pola argumentasi Toulmin (TAP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL berbantuan edu-media simulation dapat meningkatkan kemampuan argumentasi ilmiah siswa baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai t value -11.051 -1.711 bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata argumentasi pada pre-test (17) dan post-test (47). Dalam hal ini, siswa sudah mampu membuat klaim yang tegas dengan menyajikan bukti dan alasan yang mendukung klaim. Analyzing students’ scientific argumentation skill in optic: Problem-based learning assisted edu-media simulation AbstractThere are many learning models applied to analyze the ability of students' scientific argumentation. However, not many models have been integrated with online simulation-based learning to improve students' scientific argumentation skills. In fact, there are currently many online simulation websites published by educational institutions or international universities and rarely used in research. This research integrates innovative learning models with online simulation-based learning to improve students' scientific argumentation skills. The simulation website used is Edu-media simulation. In this website there are many physics simulations provided, but not many studies have applied this simulation. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental consisting of one experimental class with a sample of 25 XI MIA 3 graders in Prambanan High School 1 Yogyakarta. Students' scientific arguments are measured through a description test instrument. Students' scientific argumentation data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and Toulmin argumentation patterns (TAP). The results showed that PBL assisted by edu-media simulation can improve students' scientific argumentation ability both quantitatively and qualitatively. This is indicated by the value of t value -11.051 -1.711 that there are differences in the average value of argumentation in the pre-test (17) and post-test (47). In this case, students have been able to make assertive claims by presenting evidence and reasons that support the claim.
