Abstract

The main problem of rice production in Kranggan village is mainly due to the lack of water, low soil fertility, high cost of seeds and fertiliser, which resulted in small output despite the overuse of synthetic fertilisers. In this activity, we described the accompaniment and application of SRI method for rice cultivation, particularly for the women farmer?s group. This community service aimed to improve the knowledge, insight, and skill in rice cultivation by employing SRI method to save the water, reduce the cost of seeds and fertiliser, and increasing time efficiency in rice production. It was anticipated that such an approach would result in the environmentally friendly production of healthy rice. The activity of community service was based on a survey to analyse the agricultural status of Kranggan village, extension activity on the application SRI method for rice cultivation, practical training and demonstration of rice cultivation plot using SRI method, and healthy rice packaging by the members of Women Farmer?s Group. The activities were then followed by pre-test and post-test to confirm the improvement of knowledge and skill. The results of the community service demonstrated that the use PowerPoint method for knowledge delivery increased the understanding of SRI system by 89%, while direct training in organic NPK fertiliser production and seagrass POC increased the skill by 85%. Besides, the accompaniment of the Women Farmer?s Group up to the post-harvest period empowered the group members as the rice production was environmentally friendly, lowered the cost, reduced the use of water and labour cost, resulted in the production of healthy rice, and increased selling price by 50%. Keywords: System of Rice Intensification, the Women Farmer?s Group Kranggan

Abstract

Football and journalism are two domains that are closely interrelated. Football sports news developed in various media platform, such as printed, electronic and online media. Football supporters, in general, are active audiences who are intensely consuming sports news. In the context of media literacy, the existence of football supporters as an active audience is a potential for the development of media literacy. The media literacy that be developed in this program is media literacy in the process of media production, namely football journalism writing. Football supporters generally come from young people who have the potential to increase their competence in terms of football journalism, but they have lack access for developing their competence. The solution is to provide assistance and development of media literacy through football journalism activities. This service activity involves Indonesian Fandom as a partner. Activities carried out in this community service program are training, workshops and mentoring for writing football journalism. There were twenty-five participants who participated in this activity. The results of the activity in the form of articles, which in general the theme is about local football, edited by partners. Articles that have been edited are then compiled into one text book entitled Merawat Sepakbola Indonesia (Caring for Indonesian Football). The book was successfully printed as many as two hundred copies, and sold through networks owned by partners, and involved workshop participants as resellers. Thus, this program has succeeded in increasing football literacy among supporters, and fostering entrepreneurial networks of supporters through the publishing and distribution of book sales.

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Meduro Kabupaten Magelang adalah rendahnya pemahaman pengetahuan tentang Majalah Dinding di MI Meduro, kurang memaksimalkan fasilitas sarana  dan prasarana yang ada, guru kurang memotivasi siswa menulis dalam madding, kurangnya minat baca dan tulis dari siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini mencangkup dua hal yaitu : 1. Jangka panjang meliputi: a. Memberikan wadah bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan kreasi khususnya dalam bidang menulis dan membaca. b. Menanamkan jiwa gemar membaca dan menulis sejak dini. 2. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai melalui pengabdian ini adalah siswa dapat membuat mading yang menarik.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Metode PRA dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa yang mempunyai atau menghadapi masalah adalah mitra, oleh karena itu keterlibatan mitra dalam penentuan pemecahan masalah dan penyelesaiannya sangat diperlukan. Metode tersebut dibagi menjadi 3 tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyusunan laporan. Kata Kunci: Majalah Dinding, Membaca dan Menulis, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

A web-based learning media is a learning media developed and run using website technology so that able to display learning material in the form of text, figure or graph and video which is more attractive compared to printed learning material such as moduls or text books. The observation results showed that learning processes conducting in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura and SMA Muhammadiyah 4Kartasura mainly are still using printed material. The objective of the community service is to introduce web ?based learning media of volley ball and to improve skillof the teachers by conducting fundamental web development training. Firstly, a webbased volley ball learning media had been developed by using HTML5. The application has some useful features such as theoretical preview of volley ball and its technique including visualisation using graph, picture and video. Secondly, in the web development training session, a content management system (CMS) Wordpress was used as a paltform so that participants did not need to develop web from scratch. The post-tes quesionnaire results showed that all participants have knowledge and skill to use a web-based volley ball learning media and also they have acquired basic skill in web development.

Abstract

Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (pokdakan) di Kelurahan Air Jukung, Kecamatan Belinyu, Kabupaten Bangka merupakan Kelompok pembudidaya ikan yang bergerak pada kegiatan budidaya air payau khususnya kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata). Namun keberlanjutan kegiatan budidaya yang dilakukan masih terkandala oleh banyak hal salahsatunya adalah kurangnya efisiensi dalam pemanfaatan potensi sumberdaya yang dimiliki. Tambak yang dimiliki oleh para pembudidaya ikan masing belum terkelola dengan optimal. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan aplikasi IPTEKS untuk mengefisiensikan potensi sumberdaya yang dimiliki oleh para pembudidaya ikan dengan teknologi pemeliharaan sistem polikultur antara kepiting bakau dengan ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos). Target khusus dari kegiatan ini adalah Kapasitas produksi budidaya milik pokdakan semakin meningkat dan efisien dengan tearalikasinya teknologi polikultur. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu metode survey lapangan dengan menyisipkan teknologi polikultur dalam melakukan kegiatan budidaya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu tambak budidaya milik para pembudidaya ikan semakin optimal dan efesien dengan diversifikasi komoditi selain kepiting bakau yaitu ikan bandeng.  Kepiting bakau mampu tumbuh dan hidup dengan optimal serta mencapai ukuran panen. Selain itu ikan bandeng yang dipelihara mampu hidup dan tumbuh dengan optimal dengan pertumbuhan yang sesuai dengan diharapkan.

Abstract

PEMITRA service activities in the kecamatan Sawahan kabupaten Nganjuk, had conducted educational activities, training, and mentoring for elementary school teachers, principals, supervisors and the person in charge of Math Masters Zone program to improve the basic concepts of mathematics and its teaching method. In this Pemitra conducted training activities learning methods of Math Masters, so that teachers had  an understanding  and basic  mathematical concepts  were true,  and instructed it so easy and fun to their students. In the implementation of this Pemitra service activities, had given results and achievements were very enjoyable because math test scores elementary school students in the kecamatan Sawahan on the 2013/2014  school  year  had  average  to  8.5  and  the  highest  value  reached  10.0.  Math Olympiad  activities  also quite  lively, as  students becomed  more enthusiastic  andexcited. Based on indicators of progress and this proves that the method Math Master who had been introduced by the Executive Team Pemitra, had helped to solve problems Numeric  Phobia  for  elementary  school  students  in  the  kecamatan  Sawahan. Mathematics was considered subjects which so easy and very fun by the students.Constraints and problems still be faced today is the support and consistency of Nganjuk government has not been consistent in developing subdistrict Sawahan as Math Master Zone.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah, kurangnya minat siswa SMP untuk melanjutkan studi ke SMK Teknologi Elektronika. Untuk meminimalisir permasalahan tersebut, ada beberapa aspek yang harus ditingkatkan, salah satunya dengan meningkatkan kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (Guru) dalam perkembangan dunia elektronika. Salah satu cara meningkatkan kompetensi guru  adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan  trainer mikrokontroler tipe Arduino yang dilengkapi sensor-sensor sebagai media ajar bagi guru. Kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan trainer mikrokontroler melibatkan 15 orang Guru SMK di Pekanbaru. Sasaran kegiatan kedepannya mampu meningkatkan kualitas guru, kualitas lulusan SMK, dan menambah minat siswa terhadap SMK Teknologi bidang Elektronika. Output yang hasilkan pada kegiatan pelatihan media ajar trainer Arduino adalah terdapat meningkatkan kualitas guru SMK Teknologi khususnya bidang Elektronika sebesar 24,41%. Peningkatan kompetensi guru dilihat berdasarkan hasil Pretest dan Evaluasi kegiatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is improving knowledge and skill of quail farmer?s in waste management of quail. The management of waste is processing of organic fertilizer. The participate in the activity are quail farmer?s in RW II Sub-village Ginung, Gajahan Village, Colomadu, Karanganyar. The result of this activity in step I that is be good attention from a quail farmer?s especiality at trainning time process of product organic fertilizer. As for its result as follows; trainning and assistence quail farmer?s is followed enthusiastic fully by participant and greeted positive by head of Village Gajahan Colomadu, Karanganyar. That are many question in trainning process of product organic fertilizer. The others result in activity is a quail farmer?s started processing of product organic fertilizer in housebreed themselves. The  processing of product organic fertilizer will be clean in Gajahan Village environment and also this activity will be value added toward income quail farmer?s.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide counselling, examination and education of post-stroke patients in South Solo. This activity was carried out in the South Square of the Surakarta Palace, which included blood pressure checks, pulse and counselling and education about strokes. This activity was attended by approximately 15 post-stroke patients who were members of the stroke community in South Solo. Most patients show relatively good examination results, both blood pressure, pulse and breathing. A small portion has a rather high tension. Counselling was carried out followed by a question and answer session, questions and answers were dominated by issues such as what food could be consumed if suddenly it felt heavy and weak what to do, what exercise was safe to do, how to get rid of the stiffness or by consulting specifically. Education is done by the demonstration of various activities that can be done at home, such as how to get up to sit, sit right or demonstrate the right way to walk. Keywords: Post Stroke, Examination, Counseling, Education, Stroke Community

Abstract

The purpose of this community service, assess and understand; 1) learning implementation strategy IPS (Social Sciences) Curriculum 2013 based on lesson study in  the  School of  Muhammadiyah  Kartasura.  2)  Rationalization  and  elements  of curriculum change in 2013. 3) The process of learning and assessment processes appropriate to the curriculum in 2013. The method used; workshops and training. The Place; SMK Muhammadiyah Kartasura. Execution time; odd semester 2014/2015. Subject: Elementary School teachers, Junior High School, High School and Vocational High School Muhammadiyah Kartasura. The results achieved; 1) learning implementation strategy IPS (Social Sciences) curriculum-based lesson study 203 through  three  stages, namely;  plan  (planning),  do  (action  and  observation),  see (reflection).  2) Rationalization and elements of curriculum change in 2013 stressed on; a) The scientific approach is based approach to encourage student creativity; b)Integrity of the competence of knowledge, skills, and attitudes; c) Integrity of the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. 3) The learning process is emphasized in the curriculum in 2013; (A) Integrated Thematic for elementary school level, (b) Approach Science (Natural Sciences) and IPS (Social Sciences) of partitive aggregative be integrated melt (liquid integrative), (c) religious and moral education, (d) learning objects; natural phenomena, social, and cultural arts. While the emphasisin  the assessment  process; assessment  student  achievement  by  using  descriptive qualitative and quantitative numerical. Learning implementation strategy IPS (Social Sciences) 203 curriculum-based lesson study using a modified model of lesson study, achievement indicators for a significant increase from the prior worhshop and trainingafter the workshop, namely; 30%: 80% (pre-test: post-test).
