Abstract

Survei literasi keuangan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan tahun 2016 dan 2019 diperoleh data yang memperlihatkan indeks literasi keuangan wanita tergolong rendah dibandingkan dengan laki-laki. Padahal literasi keuangan merupakan kecakapan hidup abad 21 yang harus dikuasai individu dan masyarakat supaya tercapai taraf hidup yang lebih baik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membekali ibu rumah tangga dengan literasi keuangan supaya terwujud ketahanan keuangan keluarga. Metode pelaksanaan dengan penyuluhan disertai diskusi interaktif. Sasarannya adalah kalangan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di RW 08 Abadijaya, Depok, Jawa Barat. Persoalan yang timbul saat diskusi adalah persoalan sikap dan perilaku keuangan anak-anak mereka yang berstatus mahasiswa, pelajar, dan pemuda lajang berupa perilaku pembelanjaan yang berlebihan, belum memahami perencanaan keuangan yang benar, dan belum paham skala prioritas kebutuhan primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Tim memberikan solusi tentang makna uang yang benar, disiplin menabung, dan perlunya membuat perencanaan keuangan yang benar supaya tercapai ketahanan keuangan individu dan keluarga. Abdimas ini telah membuka pemikiran dan kesadaran para ibu rumah tangga akan pentingnya literasi keuangan dalam kehidupan keluarga. Karena literasi keuangan adalah dasar membangun ketahanan keuangan keluarga.

Abstract

Keterampilan (skill) dalam industri perhotelan sangat diperlukan bagi seseorang untuk memenuhi tuntutan kerja di dunia industri. Para lulusan SMA/K yang telah mengikuti pelatihan di LPK memerlukan suatu pendalaman keterampilan dunia industri perhotelan sebelum mereka benar-benar terjun langsung ke industri. Salah satu kegiatan untuk memperdalam keterampilan tersebut adalah melalui pelaksanaan on the job training. Namun adanya pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan banyak hotel yang tidak membuka kesempatan bagi LPK untuk melaksanakan on the job training. Hal inilah yang membuat Institut Pariwisata dan Bisnis Internasional bekerjasama dengan IHGMA membuat program HOLISTIC yang bertujuan untuk membantu para lulusan SMA/K mendapatkan pengalaman OJT di industri perhotelan. Para peserta pelatihan diambil dari 3 wilayah di Provinsi Bali yang memiliki daerah wisata favorit, yaitu Ubud, Legian, dan Seminyak. Dengan total pelaksanaan pelatihan adalah 13 hari, peserta pelatihan mendapat pengalaman teori dan praktik langsung dari para praktisi perhotelan baik dari departemen tata hidang (food and beverage service), tata boga (food production), bartender, dan tata graha (housekeeping). Hasil dari pelatihan ini, para peserta mendapatkan pengalaman langsung di industri, selain juga berbagai pengetahuan mengenai profesionalisme kerja di industri perhotelan, peluang karir di dunia industri perhotelan, serta motivasi dan dukungan dari praktisi hotel sehingga para peserta memiliki optimisme yang besar bahwa sektor pariwisata masih menjadi sektor yang menjanjikan kedepannya.

Abstract

Writing skills are rarely taught since many teachers encounter issues such as students' poor command of English vocabulary, inability to write in the correct English format, insufficient time allotted to aid each student, and a lack of teacher expertise regarding teaching strategies. For students, appropriate writing skills are required. Activities such as training for English teachers on approaches for teaching suitable and engaging writing skills to students are required. The Picture Word Inductive Model will be taught as a tool for practicing writing descriptive text abilities. This activity employs a participatory technique based on Kurt Lewin's theory, which stresses the target participants' active participation throughout the training process, from participating in training activities to completing training assignments. A total of 15 teachers from various agencies in Kabupaten Banjar participated in this community service project. Starting with the explanation, questions and answers session, small group discussions, reflection, and evaluation, the exercise went off without a hitch. The Picture Word Inductive Model is a learning paradigm that they have just acquired and will employ in teaching writing. Because there were steps of categorizing and refining it into phrases and paragraphs, participants concluded that utilizing this model would be better than using visual media. As a result, they can assist students with their writing. In a nutshell, English teachers in Kabupaten Banjar have a good conceptual understanding of how to teach descriptive text writing skills. Finally, the participants were able to create a learning plan for writing descriptive text skills using Picture Word Inductive Model.

Abstract

Waste is one of the problems that often arise in life society. However, many ways are considered wiser in solving problems with garbage. One of them is by using it to produce new products that have economic value. Not only can it reduce the garbage stack, but this method can also bring additional income. This service activity was carried out in the village of Bulu Lor, Jambon Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. Aim to provide training in making a bouquet by utilizing used items to homemakers and their youth. Besides, it also teaches how to market handicraft products to be known to more quickly, so the possibility of selling products is getting bigger. The result of this activity is to increase entrepreneurial skills to the community by providing capabilities to homemakers and youth in making flower bouquets and teaching how to market product results online. Keywords: Waste, bucket flower, entrepreneurship, online marketing

Abstract

The large population of the adolescent group in Indonesia must be guaranteed to grow and develop positively and free from various problems including reproductive health problems. At this period, adolescents experience many challenges both from themselves and surrounding environment, therefore they need to have the ability to address these issues. Partner in this program is the The Noor Hidayah Orphanage, with the number of 35 adolescents. Health problems among those teenage children are lack of nutritional needs completed with signs of anemia, lack of Clean and Healthy Behavior (CHB), less of self-confidence and feel insecure about their conditions. The proposed intervention based on partner problems, namely improving reproductive health status and branding skill for adolescents. In particular, providing counseling about health reproductive, nutrition for adolescents, FGD on CHB, Hb examination for early detection of anemia and the establishment of adolescent health care services. Improving self-branding skills was conducted by providing counseling on the importance of personal branding for a public figure as well as providing training to build personal branding through public speaking skills. At the end of the program, it revealed that around 41.9% teenage had mild anemia, improved knowledge of reproductive health and CHB, the formation of health cadres and they were more confident in seeing themselves and their lives in the future.

Abstract

The problem of this public service is how to realize the autonomicpeople power to do the advocate of environment in order to overcomethe environmental conflict. In the training of the advocate of environment,the victims of pollution—most of them are farmers and low educatedpeople— are very enthusiastic to join the training. They are curious toknow how to struggle for their polluted environment as the result of themisconduct of irresponsible companies. In the effort of this advocate ofenvironment, the NGO “Gita Pertiwi” also gives significant contribution.It tends to cooperate with the society in order to do the advocatingprocess. Yet, the previous activity is conducting dialogues with the societyabout the pollution problem. Besides, they attempt to facilitate the societyto figure and find out the solution of the problem.

Abstract

Anak-anak sekolah dasar merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rawan mengenai masalah gizi. Secara nasional masalah gemuk pada anak usia 5 – 12 tahun masih tinggi yaitu 18,8%. Prevalensi status gizi pada anak sekolah dasar di SD Al-Firdaus yaitu status gizi normal 68,14%, gemuk 21,97%, sangat gemuk 15% serta kurus dan sangat kurus 2,20%. Kurangnya konsumsi buah dan sayur merupakan penyebab resiko ke-10 tertinggi dari angka kematian di dunia. Konsumsi buah dan sayur dapat mengurangi resiko defisiensi zat gizi mikro dan serangan penyakit tidak menular. Upaya dalam meningkatkan kesadaran konsumsi buah dan sayuran dilakukan promosi gizi melalui komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah edukasi mengenai konsumsi buah dan sayur yang diawali dengan pretest pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai konsumsi buah sayur dan diakhiri dengan post test pengetahuan dan sikap serta konsumsi salad buah bersama. Edukasi dilakukan pada anak sekolah dasar kelas V di SD Al Firdaus Surakarta dengan jumlah 21 siswa. Edukasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan media power point dan handout materi sebagai pegangan siswa. Setelah proses kegiatan berlangsung, terdapat peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan dan sikap mengenai konsumsi buah dan sayur pada anak sekolah dasar. Hal ini disebabkan karena adanya edukasi mengenai konsumsi buah dan sayur. Berdasarkan analisis statistik diketahui bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh edukasi konsumsi buah dan sayur terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap pada anak sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Eugenia polyantha, one of Indonesian medicine plant, often used in society as traditional medicine and also Indonesian culinary additives. Daun salam is called Indonesian bay-leaf, the leaves contain only tiny amounts of an essential oil 0.2%. As main components, eugenol, methyl chavicol, and citral have been identified. Thus application to used of Eugenia polyantha have done. The aim of the present work was the application of Eugenia polyantha for food and health in the community area of Keraton Surakarta. The results indicated that Eugenia polyantha is of particular interest, since it may be an alternative way to carry out of food flavor simultanous as herbal medicine.

Abstract

Tingginya produksi sayuran, seringkali berdampak pada rendahnya harga jual. Pengolahan produk pangan berbasis tepung sayuran, tidak hanya sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan konsumsi sayuran, tetapi juga dapat mempertahankan nilai ekonomi sayuran, terutama pada saat musim panen. Greenbos dan nugget merupakan produk pangan yang sangat potensial dikembangkan dari tepung sayuran. Disamping karena citarasanya yang khas, produk tersebut juga memberikan warna yang menarik serta baik untuk kesehatan. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan bagi ibu-ibu kelompok wanita tani dan PKK di Desa Sindon Boyolali, dalam memproduksi greenbos dan nugget dari tepung sayuran. Metode pengabdian diawali dengan pengenalan proses produksi tepung sayuran. Kemudian mitra diberikan pelatihan pembuatan produk berbasis tepung sayuran. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan dengan meminta mitra untuk membuat produk dengan mengembangkan resep dan ide kreatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa mitra telah memiliki keterampilan yang baik dalam memproduksi greenbos dan nugget dari tepung sayuran.

Abstract

The partner of this Community Partnership Program (PKM) service are Potronayan Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) 1. The main problems raised in this activity are two, namely schools have not been able to implement e-report cards or known as digital report cards (ARD) applications and the problem is not yet the optimal role of the school health business (UKS), especially the school dental health business (UKGS). The purpose of this activity is to improve the supporting facilities for implementing e-report cards and increase the knowledge of teachers and students to support UKS and UKGS. The method of implementing the activity is the application of computer infrastructure to support the application of e-report cards and the implementation of training and application of Android applications to increase knowledge about maintaining oral health and UKS. The results obtained from this activity are partners already have a computer infrastructure that is in accordance with the needs for the application of e-report cards and teachers and students have received training and Android applications to improve knowledge of dental and mouth maintenance. Evaluation results show that the Android application that is applied is able to make learning about oral health more enjoyable when compared to just using printed material.
