This type of research is the PTK (ClassroomAction Research. Subject receiver is action Elementary School fifth grade students 02Gemantar totaling 22 students. Data were collected using observations at the beginningof the study remedy find problems in class, documentation to record the traces of mathematicslearning outcome , a test to determine the achievement of learning outcomesafter a given action . Data analysis was performed with data reduction step, the presentationof the data, drawing conclusions and verification. This study was conducted in severalcycles, the final study showed an increase in learning outcomes in mathematics storyproblems with strategies Think Talk Write. It can be seen from the results obtained studyingpre cycle 7 students reach KKM with an average 52.727, and 31.819 % mastery learning. In the first cycle obtained by 12 students who achieve KKM with the average value of71.59%, and mastery learning 54.55 %. Abstract

This research studies whether there is a significant relationship between the multiple intelligences of pre-service elementary teachers, their gender, and their performances. The survey method has been used for this study. A “Multiple Intelligence Profiling Questionnaire III (MIPQ-III)” was used to collect the multiple intelligences of the participants. Reliability-test has been used to see the consistency of the questionnaire. In order to analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and Pearson correlation were used for this study. Results showed that naturalistic intelligence has the highest mean score. Meanwhile, logical-mathematics intelligence has the lowest mean score. Results also showed that logical-mathematic, verbal-linguistic, spatial, bodily-kinesthetics, and interpersonal intelligence have differences based on gender, while other intelligence has no differences. Furthermore, results also show that all intelligence, excluding naturalistic, positively correlates with the performances. Lastly, hierarchical regression shows that among the multiple intelligences, the logical-mathematics intelligence becomes a predictor for the performance of the pre-service elementary teachers. The implications of this study, such as the results, show a relationship between multiple intelligence and elementary school pre-service teachers. Besides that, it is found that the multiple intelligence of elementary pre-service teachers has a wide variety of impacts on the performance of those pre-service teachers in the future. Thus, it is expected that relevant stakeholders can better review these aspects, especially in the curriculum

Abstract

Prospective Elementary School Teachers have difficulty in understanding the science concepts. Beside, they are generally low in curiosity, passive in discussion, and lack of collaboration on microteaching activities. This study aims to: (1) Reveal how to apply the experimental-based LSQ learning model on microteaching activities for elementary school teacher candidates; (2) Examine the increase in curiosity and understanding the concept of science. The method used is a Quasi-experiment method with purposive sampling technique. The sample are 31 elementary school teacher candidates from Universitas Sains Al Quran, Wonosobo, Indonesia. The data about understanding the concept was collected through a test with 30 questions. The data about curiosity was collected by questionnaires and observation sheets. The results showed that there is an increase in the understanding of the concept based on the gain test of 0.3. Furthermore, based on the t-test of 4.01 and t-table of 1.99 (tcount t-table = 4.01 1.99), LSQ model is effective in increasing the curiosity. Curiosity through the four main skills found, namely: questioning skills, reinforcement, explanation skills, and classroom management.
