Abstract

Education is currently the cornerstone of sustainable development in Indonesia. However, until now public services, especially in education, are still uneven. Therefore, Indonesia prioritizes education goals in the SDGs, especially SDG 4 which emphasizes equitable quality education and equitable access to education. One factor in improving quality can be seen from the increase in the number of students so as to realize the vision of inclusive education. Dehasen University is currently experiencing an increase in the number of students from 2020 to 2022. Therefore, researchers will conduct research using SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors that affect the increase in student numbers. The result is that Dehasen University has strengths in a very consistent student admission team, wide internet access and a very strategic location. However, the weaknesses are the low cost of promotion, facilities that are currently inadequate and the lack of mastery of digital technology by some staff. Opportunities include the current great interest of the community to continue their studies, the development of technology and a wide network of alumni. The threats themselves include competition for student recruitment, demands for improving the quality of graduates and uncertainty in the economy. So it is recommended that universities can utilize internal strengths in overcoming external challenges and be able to implement strategies that have the benefits of external opportunities. So, Dehasen university is able to continue to increase students while overcoming the challenges faced.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the proliferation of memes, which have become a new trend in communication on social media, including Facebook. Meme Comic Indonesia (MCI) is one of the popular Facebook groups for sharing memes, with its members consisting of hundreds of thousands of individuals from various regions. The aim of this research is to analyze the communication behavior of meme-sharing among the members of the Meme Comic Indonesia group on Facebook. The study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The theoretical framework used in this research is the theory of symbolic interactionism, which comprises three main concepts: mind, self, and society. The results of the research indicate that, in the mind concept, group members share relatively similar motivations and thought patterns in interpreting and using memes as a means of self-expression and entertainment. In the self concept, members shape their online identities and self-images through shared memes to gain acceptance within their Facebook community. In the society concept, simultaneous interactions among Facebook members contribute to a shared understanding of evolving memes over time. The communication behavior of Meme Comic Indonesia group members includes interactions through comments, likes, and the exchange of information through memes. Social interactions among group members in interpreting memes contribute to a shared understanding that can evolve with the passage of time..

Abstract

This research aims to find, analyze online media towards Ganjar's electability. The focus of discussion in this research is on defining the nature of language, Ganjar's electability, Ganjar's social media management, Ganjar's political public relations through social media. The writing method used in this research is descriptive analytic, which is a method that describes or provides an overview of the subject under study using data or samples collected in such a way, without analysis to draw conclusions about the public. Ganjar Pranowo's popularity and electability were at their lowest point when he was first announced as a candidate for Central Java governor. Dian said the popularity problem caused by the pairing of Ganjar and Heru in Central Java in early 2013 was considered insufficient, but raised the possibility that PDIP votes would be split with a parliamentary victory.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the PPG Directorate's communication strategy in developing Generation Z's interest in becoming teachers. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data collected was analyzed using a process of reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the Directorate of Communication Teacher Professional Education has succeeded in implementing the Communication Strategy to develop Generation Z's interest in becoming teachers with the number of Pre-Service PPG applicants exceeding the target. This is the suggestion obtained from research that the Directorate of Professional Teacher Education can carry out communication strategies to increase registration knowledge in the selection process.

Abstract

Commercial Sex Workers) in Bengkulu City and customers (guests) in maintaining relationships. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The technique for determining informants in this research used random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display (data presentation) and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the research results, it was concluded that interpersonal communication patterns can be broken down into several stages, including the contact stage, involvement stage, familiarity stage, destruction stage and termination stage. These stages can describe the communication pattern between prostitutes in Bengkulu City. Interpersonal communication in prostitution transactions is considered effective because of several characteristics of interpersonal communication. The first thing that stands out is the openness between prostitutes and guests. Openness in online prostitution transactions is defined as clarity in providing information from both parties, where both parties agree to continue the negotiation process. Secondly, empathy is the ability to know what other people feel. This includes when prostitutes and customers understand each other. Third, positive feelings (positiveness), a positive attitude in interpersonal communication means that prostitutes and customers view themselves positively and respect other people, using polite language when communicating. Fourth, equality, in this case the desires between prostitutes and customers. which has one goal.

Abstract

The design of content created by influencers and entrepreneurs to enhance performance and attract customer interest includes visual graphic design for logos or content creation. This study aims to determine if Canva as a design tool can be used for promotion by content creators. The principles of Visual Communication Design from Gestalt Theory include form similarity, pattern continuation, proximity, closure of form, and imagery. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The technique for determining informants is purposive sampling from two content creator accounts, namely Anggel Kitty Store and Traccy.id in November 2023. The research findings are firstly, form similarity with the use of color in the design, both using visual messages in the design; secondly, the continuity of patterns in pictures, colors, and fonts in the design and the presence of informative messages; thirdly, the proximity of positions grouped according to type and function in the design, both using the logo layout in the design; fourth, closure of shape using sketch classes and squares in the design; and fifth, the core images used by content creators as visual messages in promotion. The designs created through Canva are used as promotional media for skincare, accessories, and makeup to be uploaded on Instagram, updated in Instagram stories, and to determine the design of posters to be promoted. Using Canva Pro is more appealing because it has more features than the standard Canva, and the designs also look better.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain further information about the implementation of the community service satisfaction system program in Baros District, Sukabumi City. In this research, a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach was used, and a purposive sampling strategy was used to identify 5 informants. For this research, researchers used interview techniques, observation methods, and documentation. Researchers also use triangulation of methods and sources to carry out the data validation process. The results of this study show that the effectiveness of the SIKAP program in Baros District, Sukabumi City, assessed from three accuracy indicators based on Duncan's theory (in Steers, 2020: 53) has not worked well, because there are still many people who do not understand how to use the application, apart from that In the implementation of socialization by internal and external parties, it has been running but is still not sustainable, which means that the public still does not understand the benefits and objectives of the Attitude program, then the facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of this program still have many deficiencies, especially in the appearance of the Attitude program application.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Utilization of Shopee Features as Friendshio Media". The rapid development of technology affects changes in the new communication style carried out by the community. With the development of this technology, online media is not only a means of communicating but also used as a fulfillment of individual needs. With this, current technological advances can change patterns in staying in touch between individuals efficiently. The purpose of this study is to determine the utilization of Shopee features as a medium for friendship. This research uses qualitative research methods and uses data collection techniques by means of observation and interviews. This study uses the Uses and Gratifications theory, the results of which show that the utilization of the THR Shopee feature and the Bank Transfer feature is an innovation that supports many activities between individuals to stay in touch in different ways, informants use this feature with their various needs. There are 5 dimensions of needs that are in accordance with the informants in the Uses and Gratifications theory in utilizing the Shopee feature as a gathering media, namely: cognitive needs related to information and knowledge of the surrounding environment, affective needs related to the pleasant experience of individuals in utilizing a medium, personal needs related to work or personality, social needs related to family or friends in the neighborhood, and tension release needs related to the individual's desire to release pressure after doing something.

Abstract

Feast is a band that expresses social criticism through songs. Idealism in music, the use of words that contain figures of speech, and the themes presented make the author use the lyrics of the song "Maju" by the band .Feast as a study in this research. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The aim of this research is to find out the meaning of social criticism in the song "Maju" using Teun A. Van Dijk's approach. Critical discourse analysis using Teun A. van Dijk's approach model includes text dimensions, social cognition dimensions, and social context dimensions. The text dimension will analyze macro structure, superstructure and micro structure, then discuss it in the social cognition dimension and social context dimension to find the meaning of social criticism in the lyrics of the song "Maju". Analysis of song lyric data was carried out to describe the meaning of social criticism in the lyrics of the song "Maju" by .Feast. The results of this research show that there is social criticism in the lyrics of the song "Maju" sung by . survive and fight to the last drop of blood to defend the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. Courage is something that must be instilled in every human being and defending the rights that belong to us is a must.

Abstract

Government communication through social media has become a significant phenomenon in the digital age. This research summarizes the strategies, objectives and impact of government communication on social media platforms such as twitter, Instagram, facebook and so on. The research method used is a qualitative method by conducting surveys with data analysis techniques through triangulation. The results of discussions and conclusions through data analysis both by observation and online interaction that the government must be able to use social media to increase public engagement, convey policies and respond to important issues regarding the policies of the government itself, although effective in reaching a broad audience, challenges including crisis management that urgently need to be anticipated, as well as narrative control systems and sustainable participation society in national builders. In the future, this research can be further needed to understand the dynamics of the evolution of government communication in this digital era.
