Abstract

In the provisions of Article 137 Paragraph (1) and (2) Law no. 17/2008 both the Grosss Tonnage 35 and motor boats Motor boats are less than Gross Tonnage 35 as well as for boats traditionally less than the Gross Tonnage 105, I insist on the point states: The captain is the leader on the ship who owns law enforcement authority and are responsible for safety, security and order of ships, and cargo goods obligation. In another provision it is also stated that the master is the leader of the ship, who every certain event must take a stand and act in accordance with skill, precision and wisdom,as required to carry out their duties (Article 342 paragraph (1)KUHD). As the leader of the ship, the master must be responsible all his actions against the ship and its cargo in all events that happens in the sea. From that the legislators gave a burden responsibility to the master as regulated in Article 342 paragraph (2) KUHD, that is, if the action is committed in that position is intentional or negligent, which causes damage to other people. The breadth obligations given by law, in the implementationtransportation in terms of the responsibility of the Ship Leader / Master to safety, security and order of ships and sailors in essence boils down to the interests of the cargo as the agreed object which is the obligation of the carrier. The obligation that arises from its existence an agreement as intended gives birth to responsibilities implicitly it is the responsibility of the transportation company. The formulation of these provisions includes the extent of the obligations given by Constitution. If you listen to the process of organizing deep transportation regarding the responsibility of the Ship Leader / Master for safety, security and order of ships and sailors basically boils down to in the interest of cargo as the agreed object is the obligation of the carrier.

Abstract

Conventional DC motors often experience problems that require regular maintenance. The use of conventional DC motors can be replaced with Brushless DC (BLDC) motors. This BLDC motor has good efficiency and durability. Increasing the ability of BLDC motors can be done by speed regulation using the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) method combined with Firefly Algorithm. Testing this method uses matlab 2014a. The firefly algorithm can obtain parameter values of Kp, Ki, and Kd which are then used as PID input. Because of inaccuracies in determining the value of a constant in PID and can cause the length of time to reach the desired speed. BLDC motor speed regulation with the PID method combined with firefly algorithm can make the BLDC motor reach synchronous faster

Abstract

Occupational Health Safety (OHS) is not only important for improving the social security and welfare of its workers but far from that, K3 has a positive impact on the sustainability of employee work productivity. In term of safety, the production department of PG Kremboong still bring some risks that may cause work accidents, such as the leaks in the evaporator and juice heater body that frequently happened in the processing department. The hazard identification assessment uses the RPN (Risk Priority Number) method where each risk-causing factor is assessed by its value of severity, frequency or probability (occurrence), and detection, then illustrated with a Pareto Diagram to determine the most dominant problem. and using the five why's analysis method to analyze the root causes of the problem in order to obtain a solution. The most dominant risk in PG. KREMBOONG is a leak in the evaporator body that hits the worker and a leak in the juice heater body, based on RPN values which reached 36 and 27.

Abstract

Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that there were 29 work accidents in the turning wood production process for a period of 3 years, then after the classification was carried out based on the company's working environment conditions obtained 5 categories of work accidents. The results of the calculation of the risk prority number (RPN) show that the potential failure with the highest RPN level is that the hand is exposed to wood on the rip saw machine with an RPN value of 140. Proposed improvement is that machine operators must use PPE when doing work, provide a grace period when moving raw materials to rip saw machines to provide space for workers, routine inspections and always moving materials after being processed in the rip saw machines and giving danger signs in the production process area, improving standard operational procedures and periodic supervision in accordance with the applied K3 procedures.

Abstract

There are many ways for preserving wood through the use of agricultural or biomass waste like bamboo. Its utilization can be used as a safe natural wood preservative for the community. In order to obtain a qualified liquid smoke and consumed-safe it is necessary to engineer the condenser conduit pipes. As a consequence, this study needs a performance test of condenser conduit pipe on pyrolysis reactor device. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance quality of pyrolysis reactor device based on the optimum of long condenser conduit pipe and to determine the reaction order. In this study, the pyrolysis process of 2,5 kgs bamboo was using a pyrolysis reactor in optimum operating conditions, conducted with condenser conduit pipes size 23 cm, 33 cm, 43 cm, 53 cm, 63 cm and 73 cm at temperature of 250ºC for 2 hours. The results of this study indicate that the optimal liquid smoke yield is obtained from 23 cm long condenser conduit pipe (21.66%); the mass of lost material is 52.49% found in 73 cm pipe; the performance of the pyrolysis reactor is 206.25 found in 23 cm pipe g/hour.m; and the reaction occured was included as the first order of reaction.

Abstract

The pretreatment process is important in treating lignocellulosic-rich biomass such as sugarcane bagasse. The lignocellulosic structure is strong, and the proportion of crystals is high, complicating the fermentation process. Still, it needs to be converted to a more amorphous structure for easy access to fermenting enzymes. The pretreatment process is carried out with alkaline solvents and microwaves in this study. The process begins by standardizing the size of the bagasse powder used. Sugarcane bagasse powder and NaOH alkaline solvent were mixed in a three-necked round-bottom flask. The reactor used in this study was a modified domestic microwave equipped with a temperature controller and condenser. The results showed that this modification was significant to reduce the weight of the residual solid product compared to the initial weight of the raw material. Process variables such as reaction time and solvent concentration significantly affect the cellulose content of solid products. However, hemicellulose content showed different results. The results of the XRD analysis showed that the crystallization index of the effect decreased with increasing pretreatment time. Pretreatment with microwaves and alkaline solvents was successful with satisfactory structural changes in the cellulosic solid.

Abstract

Bengkalis Island is the island of the capital city of Bengkalis regency, Riau province. Bengkalis Island is surrounded by the ocean so that the people who are on the edge of the coast mostly work as fishermen. Fishing boats in Bengkalis Island reach more than 2000 units. The limitations of fishing make it fishermen more difficult to get more income. There are a lot of efforts made by fishermen to improve these results including increasing engine power/speed of the ship and also changing fishing gear. To change this means increasing the operational costs of ships. For this reason, economic analysis needs to be calculated. In this study fishing boats are divided into 6 models, 3 models are distinguished based on the driving machine, namely 12 PK, 16 PK, and 24 PK while the other 3 models are distinguished based on the fishing gear, namely tansi net, kurau net, and longline. Analysis using the Net Present Value (NPV) method is knowing the model of the ship that returns the fastest capital and has the biggest advantage. The largest Net Present Value (NPV) is in Model 3 or 4 with NPV of Rp 307,091,520 and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 608.4%, namely yapal vessels that have 24 PK engine power and use tansi fishing gear
