Abstract

In the context of multiculturalism, education must reward the reality of plurality. Multicultural education is truly felt to have a very important space to be presented in the world of education as a solution to the appreciation of the plurality of Indonesian society. Performing arts and culture is one of the concrete steps to teach students as prospective teachers to be able to recognize the various characteristics of Maluku society as a multicultural society. This study used a qualitative method and was conducted on students of the historical education study program at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at Pattimura University. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study show that through art and cultural performance activities that are packaged in multicultural education learning clarify the characteristics of Maluku as a multicultural society, increase students' knowledge to appreciate the plurality of Maluku as a multicultural society, increase student awareness to be part of the people of Maluku, Indonesia and the World in maintaining world peace as well as providing hope to students in building the spirit of life of orang Basudara in Maluku.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is, is there an influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media in history subject related to the Indonesian nation responses toward imperialism and colonialism on the critical thinking ability in XI IPS 4 class of SMA Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya academic year 2019/2020. The method utilized in this study is a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were all XI IPS classes at SMA 5 Tasikmalaya with a total of 175 students. The sample in this study was class XI IPS 4, with a total of 36 students. A purposive sampling technique took samples. This research instrument was in the form of a critical thinking test with 9 item description questions. Technical data analysis was performed using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 25.0 for Windows software. The results showed that the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media influenced the students' critical thinking ability. This is evidenced by the average of the critical thinking ability of the experimental class using a problem-based learning model assisted by a wall magazine learning media was 80.07, while the average critical thinking ability of students who used discovery learning models was 70.45. The results of processing the hypothesis test using Mann Whitney obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05. This showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, there is the influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by the wall magazine learning media on the critical thinking ability in XI IPS 4 class of SMA Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

History learning must bring students more active in the teaching and learning process, educators must be able to determine the right model for conducting the learning process in class. However, nowadays history learning in schools, especially at the public high school level is still far from student centered as expected by the 2013 curriculum.  This study used a Quasi Experiment type of research with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design that contains the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique used in this study used an independent t-test. The results showed that the historical learning outcomes of students who used the Discovery Learning model were higher than the students who used the direct learning model. The analysis results obtained by Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 significance level α = 0.05, because the value of 0,000 < 0.05, this means that there are differences in the average historical outcomes learning between students who use the Discovery Learning model with the Direct Learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover and analyze the form of socialstratification in sasak noble people in Jerowaru Sub-District of East Lombok Regency-NTB between the 1970s and 2000s. The research approach used is qualitative research with historical methods where in addition to obtaining the source of documents as well as using oral sources to be able to perform reconstruction. The results showed that before the 1970s the existence of social stratification in the community in Jerowaru Village in particular had quite high differences both from aspects of language, customary clothing, marriage system and others.  Sehas in the 1970s has shown a change, this is not separated from the influence and existenceof pesantran hut established by one of the famous religious figures in Lombok namely Tuan Guru Mutawalli, and at the same time some fundamental changes caused by intenal aspects. One interesting thing about the cultural history of the existence of nobles in the period between 1970-2000 is that there was a very rapid change, because some other studies showed that the change in the form of social stratification elsewhere, especially the nobles showed a changethat was not very significant.

Abstract

Selama  Abad 19 merupakan masa-masa sulit yang dihadapi oleh Pemerintah Hindia Belanda terutama dalam hal kesehatan. Pemerintah Hindia Belanda dikejutkan dengan berbagai penyakit yang menimpa masyarakatnya mulai dari wabah kolera, wabah pes, hingga penyakit kulit seperti kusta menyerang hampir 2/3 Jiwa Penduduk Jawa saat itu. Penambahan korban yang diderita diakibatkan oleh perilaku dan gaya hidup yang dilakukan oleh penduduk sehingga menyebabkan pertumbuhan pada penularan penyakit yang begitu cepat. Upaya dan langkah-langkah pencegahan yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Hindia Belanda berupaya untuk menekan jumlah korban akibat yang diderita mulai dari pemberian obat-obatan sampai tindakan untuk mengkarantina serta penggusuran perukiman yang dianggap kumuh seperti yang terjadi di Surabaya ketika dilanda wabah kolera tahun 1920. Artikel ini mengkaji beberapa sub bahasan yang terbagi menjadi tiga permasalahan yang akan dikaji diantaranya; 1) bagaimana awal perkembangan penyebaran berbagai penyakit yang terjadi di Jawa selama periode tahun 1911-1940, 2) faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan terjadinya wabah tersebut, 3) bagaimana tindakan yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Hindia Belanda dalam mencegah dan memberantas perkembangan wabah yang terjadi di Jawa selama periode tahun 1911-1940?. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk mengkaji bagaimana tindakan baik berupa langkah preventif hingga upaya pemberantasan berbagai penyakit yang menyebabkan banyak korban jiwa di Hindia Belanda seleama periode tahun 1911-1943.

Abstract

Palembang is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, a historical city and a prominent city with the greatness of the Srivijaya kingdom. Various events have become important historical traces for the local community and the general public, one of which is historical sites. One of them is the Archaeological Park of the Sriwijaya Kingdom, where this historical site can be developed and utilized to increase the regional economy. The purpose of this research is to find out how to use and develop historical sites for the improvement of the regional economy. Data were collected through a qualitative approach by exploring and interviewing participants accompanied by a review of various literatures. The result of this research is that the local government and society are sustainable in maintaining, developing, and utilizing historical sites to improve the regional economy.

Abstract

This study aims to study the ability of historical thinking in building historical empathy for the history education students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The study was held in semester 112 in class C batch 2018 course of Indonesian history of The Colonial period and class A batch 2017 course of Indonesian history of New Order and Reformation period. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The result of this study is that students of history education have diverse abilities in historical thinking skills. However, on the ability of historical empathy ̧ the entire student history has cognitive empathy. This means students are able to understand the emotions, situations, and conditions of historical figures in the past. In addition, on the ability of cognitive empathy students are able to be objective so that on the understanding of history, students are not on the sides of one figure only

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan sejarah lokal dalam menguatkan toleransi beragama pada peserta didik dan masyarakat Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sedangkan, teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah instrumen studi dokumen atau dokumentasi. Hasilnya diperoleh bahwa Banten memiliki simbol toleransi beragama yang diwakili oleh keberadaan Masjid Agung Banten dan Vihara Avalokitesvara yang merupakan dua rumah ibadah yang berbeda dan saling berdekatan. Sehingga, dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Indonesia untuk materi Islamisasi dan silang budaya di Nusantara memberikan pengalaman sikap kepada peserta didik untuk lebih saling menghargai dan toleransi. Peserta didik melalui pembelajaran sejarah berbasis sejarah lokal Banten dapat mengetahui bahwa Masjid Agung Banten merupakan sebuah masjid dengan perpaduan tiga budaya arsitektur yang berbeda, yaitu Jawa, Cina, serta Belanda dan juga peserta didik dapat mengetahui bahwasannya Islam turut membangun rumah ibadah agama lain, seperti yang terlihat dari pembangunan Vihara Avalokitesvara yang dibangun pada masa Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah, seorang tokoh penyebar Islam di tanah Jawa. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran sejarah melalui sejarah lokal di Banten akan memberikan pengalaman belajar peserta didik akan nilai-nilai toleransi beragama, terutama peserta didik yang berada di wilayah Banten.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) menginventarisasi dan mengeksplitasi nilai nilai ketokohan yang terdapat pada sosok Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani; (2) menganalisis dan mengevaluasi secar kritis dan menyusun suatu konsepsi reaktualisasi nilai-nilai ketokohan Sultan Ageng Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) menginventarisasi dan mengeksplitasi nilai nilai ketokohan yang terdapat pada sosok Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al- Bantani; (2) menganalisis dan mengevaluasi secar kritis dan menyusun suatu konsepsi reaktualisasi nilai-nilai ketokohan Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani bagi pendidikan karakter di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan memadukan strategi penelitian studi kasus dan fenomenologi.Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, nilai-nilai ketokohan Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani dapat digali dari sejarah kehidupan kedua tokoh yang mencerminkan integritas antara kata dan laku. Kedua, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani mengajarkan tentang karakter adiluhung (kepemimpinan, kejujuran, keadilan, kewibawaan, religius, patriotik, dan amanah) yang menjadi bagian integral dalam segala aktivitas civitas academika di perguruan tinggi. Ketiga, Strategi untuk mereaktualisasikan nilai-nilai ketokohan dapat dimulai dengan memelihara atau merawat ketokohan dalam memori kolektif civitas akademika melalui tridharma perguruan tinggi, serta membesarkan lembaga atau memantapkan kelembagaan perguruan tinggi, khususnya Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) berdasarkan visi dan misi yang dituju, serta ditunjang dan didukung dengan nilai organisasi UNTIRTA yaitu JAWARA (Jujur, Adil, Wibawa, Amanah, Religius, dan Akuntabel) yang bersumber dari kristalisasi nilai- nilai ketokohan Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Syekh Nawawi Al-Bantani.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui peran Daan Mogot dalam Pertempuran Lengkong, (2) mengetahui pentingnya Suplemen ajar untuk mendekatkan peristiwa sejarah pada peserta didik dalam Materi Perjuangan dan Revolusi Mempertahankan Kemerdekaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode historis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Pertempuran Lengkong merupakan peristiwa pelucutan senjata untuk mempertahankan revolusi kemerdekaan Indonesia. Pertempuran berlangsung mendadak dikarenakan adanya kesalahpahaman antara Jepang dan Akademi Militer Tangerang yang tidak sengaja meledakan senjata milik Jepang. Daan Mogot sebagai pendiri sekaligus ketua Akademi Militer Tangerang menjadi korban dalam Pertempuran Lengkong. Daan gugur diusia yang masih muda yaitu 18 tahun. (2) Dalam buku teks sejarah kelas 11 materi Perjuangan dan Revolusi Mempertahankan Kemerdekaan hanya membahas seputar peristiwa nasional. Berdampak pada kurangnya pengetahuan peserta didik terhadap sejarah lokal, (3) Suplemen materi ajar dibutuhkan untuk mendekatkan peserta didik pada peristiwa sejarah yang ada disekitarnya. Daan Mogot dalam Pertempuran Lengkong merupakan bentuk nyata suplemen materi Perjuangan dan Revolusi Mempertahankan Kemerdekaan bagi peserta didik khususnya di Tangerang.
