Abstract

Waste processing activities through the 3R program (reduce, reuse and recycle) must be accompanied by reducing the volume/amount of waste itself. One way is to process waste starting from the source, among others, from dry leaf waste around our home environment. Community assistance activities in the use of dry leaves in the manufacture of charcoal briquettes as an alternative energy for environmental facilitators and Surabaya residents have been successfully carried out. The response of the residents was very positive and very enthusiastic in participating in this activity. The stages of implementing activities through workshops, training and mentoring are carried out in the form of lectures, questions and answers and direct practice in making briquettes. The results obtained in this community service are the formation of three superior briquette villages, namely Babat Jerawat, Tembok Gede and Ondomohen. The residents independently have succeeded in designing and making their own briquette printing equipment by utilizing used goods around them and making charcoal briquettes from dry leaves or burnt coconut shell charcoal and even has succeeded in marketing it even though it is still within the scope of the closest neighbors. Education about business prospects and marketing strategies was also given during training in empowering urban communities and responding to existing business opportunities and prospects so that they had a circular economy impact for community members to improve family welfare.

Abstract

Posso Village is one of the villages located in Kwandang District, through a village-owned enterprise formed a successful IKM together that produces traditional coconut oil. The purpose of this service activity is to improve the quality of traditional coconut oil and its waste and the management of partner businesses. The results of this service activity obtained several machines such as a coconut peeler machine with an average coconut peeling of about 18 s/piece at a machine speed of 2000 rpm and a shaft 25 rpm, a large capacity coconut milk squeezer machine with manual operation via hydraulic power, a VCO mixer machine with a capacity of 20 liters with a rotational speed of 900 rpm to 4200 rpm, an ethanol distillation machine with a capacity of 30 liters equipped with a condenser, a drum for burning shells into charcoal, product packaging and label designs, online trading accounts and operations have been obtained by partners.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the main staples needed in households. Cooking oil that is no longer used can cause household waste. Unused waste oil or used cooking oil, if not managed properly, will cause environmental pollution. There are still many people who do not know how to process the remaining unused oil. Therefore, as a form of community service from the Tangerang Muhammadiyah College of Pharmacy, we tried to invite the community in the Green Palme Housing, Cileles, Tangerang Regency to be able to participate in processing used cooking oil waste so that it can be used as a useful product, namely soap making. The method used in this activity is to provide training on recycling used cooking oil by adding lemongrass essential oil to make herbal-based bath soap. Community service broadly includes 3 activities, namely data collection of participants, delivery of material by lecturers, and mentoring of soap making practices by lecturers of STF Muhammadiyah Tangerang. This training activity is expected to open up opportunities for entrepreneurship, encourage industrial houses, assist in packaging and product marketing to the community, to improve the living standards of the communities around those affected by PPKM, create jobs, and make people's lives better.

Abstract

The world of education underwent major changes in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The most visible impact of changes in the world of education in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process that has turned online. One of the elementary schools that experienced these changes was SD N 9 Dauh Puri, North Denpasar. Online learning is currently being carried out at SD N 9 Dauh puri using WhatsApp and Google classroom media. However, in practice, teachers still use personal accounts in the use of online learning media, so the features of these learning media cannot be utilized optimally. In addition, the teachers also do not understand optimally in the use of these learning media. Based on these problems, through this service activity, assistance is provided in creating an account with a free domain provided by the government (.sch) as well as the school website. Other activities include training on the use of Google Forms as a medium for collecting assignments and evaluating learning. The implementation method of service activities consists of socializing activities, planning, implementing, and evaluating. The outputs of community service activities have met the achievement indicators, namely all teachers (100%) already have an email account with a domain (sch.id) owned by the school and the school already has a website installed on the http://www.sdn9dauhpuri.sch page. id/. The results of the assessment from partners, 74% stated that community service activities were satisfactory.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan untuk menginspirasi masyarakat kota khususnya Yogyakarta untuk dapat menghasilkan pangan mandiri yang memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah. Walaupun tidak 100% memenuhi kebutuhan pangan sendiri, namun upaya berkebun sayur di rumah secara signifikan memotong kebutuhan logistik rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Asrama Putra Sang Timur, Kelurahan Gunungketur, Pakualaman, Yogyakarta. Persiapan yang dilakukan meliputi: (a) koordinasi dengan pihak Asrama Putra Sang Timur tempat dilaksanakan pengabdian (memasukan surat ijin pengabdian), (b) persiapan yang ke dua melakukan kesepakatan penentuan peserta dan waktu pengabdian/ pelatihan, (c) Pelaksanaan, untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa atau penghuni asrama untuk mengoptimalkan pekarangan asrama. Pelaksanaan yaitu melakukan penjelasan mengenai teknik budidaya pada teknologi vertikultur dan pengertian, keuntungan, model, alat dan bahan yang dapat digunakan serta tata cara penerapan teknologi vertikultur. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan secara tatap muka dengan mematuhi protokol Kesehatan. Siswa melakukan praktik langsung penanaman pakcoy dan caisim sambil dibimbing oleh pemateri. Selanjutnya penyerahan benih pakcoy dan caisim untuk penanaman berikutnya yang akan dilaksanakan siswa secara mandiri.

Abstract

Bajoe Village is one of the coastal areas in Province of Southeast Sulawesi has experienced abrasion within a period of 10 years. So it is necessary to provide education on the management of the residential environment that will be affected by abrasion. The method used is the analysis of satellite images using google aerth and SAS Planet, and the lecture method. The result of this activity is that in Tiga Hamlet, it was detected that coastal abrasion had occurred, so that mangrove planting was carried out in Tiga Hamlet. Education is carried out for students so that they can clearly see the change in the environment due to abrasion in Bajoe Village.Then have a discussion with the village head as a stakeholder about the results obtained so that it expected to provide consideration in making decisions on the development of Bajoe Village.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 epidemic, the worldwide economy was slowing down. Each country tries to normalize its economic activity through various policies or stimulants in order to be able to bounce back. Sharia pawnshops, as part of a financial institution with a function to play in contributing to economic growth, attempt to play a crucial role in the national economic recovery program, specifically with rahn pawnshop items. This service uses the lecture format by providing information about the role of sharia pawnshops in Indonesia's productivity expansion during the pandemic. This service activity is utilized for various purposes, starting with planning and progressing to monitoring and development. The purpose of this community service program is to make people more aware, notably of the role of sharia pawnsh. This service increased public understanding, and they became more aware of the government's role in trying to revive the economy through stimulus provided by non-bank Islamic financial institutions, one of which was sharia pawnshops.Keywords: Up to six keywords should also be included.

Abstract

The community partnership program was carried out with partners, namely the Children of the Putri Aisyiyah Orphanage, Yogyakarta. This service aims to assist partners in solving the problems they have, namely: (1) There is no education regarding the benefits of using masks during a pandemic; (2) There is no training to develop creativity in the orphanage children; (3) There has been no training related to making patterned masks. The solution offered is training in making patterned masks for the Children of the Putri Aisyiyah Orphanage in Yogyakarta so that it was hoped that it can educate children about the benefits of using masks during the Covid-19 pandemic and foster creativity in creating masks with the decoupage technique. The method of the community partnership program is training in making patterned masks in the form of lectures, discussions and practice of making patterned mask creations for the children of the Putri Aisyiyah Orphanage in Yogyakarta. This community partnership program was aimed at children of members of the Putri Aisyiyah orphanage with various ages.

Abstract

Community service aims to describe the guidance of parents' learning towards their children in the time of adaptation of new habits in Kubu Raya Elementary School. This activity is in the form of counseling on how participants can develop parenting, especially in learning in accordance with changing times. So that the task as a parent can play an active and effective role, participants can increase the spirit of children in learning, participants can master digital-based IT and participants can create a program of children's day activities at home. This devotional activity is carried out at SDN 13 Sungai Ambawang Kubu Raya Regency, implemented smoothly and there is a change in parents in carrying out tutoring to children, it is evidenced by the increasing learning achievement of students and the formation of child learning programs. This training encourages participants to follow it and work completion more quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

Penurunan kualitas benih padi selama penyimpanan yang disebabkan oleh serangan hama padi dari gudang Sitophilus oryzae L. menjadi alasan dasar penelitian ini, penggunaan insektisida nabati yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan jenis dan dosis beberapa tepung biji tanaman sebagai upaya meningkatkan mortalitas dari Sitophilus oryzae L. sehingga benih padi dapat mempertahankan kualitasnya dengan baik selama masa penyimpanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RAK) dengan delapan perlakuan berbeda. Faktor pertama adalah jenis tepung biji (B) dengan 4 taraf yaitu (B1) Biji Srikaya, (B2) Bibit Sirsak, (B3) Biji Mengkudu, dan (B4) Biji Jarak Pagar. Faktor kedua adalah dosis tepung biji (D) dengan 2 taraf (D1) 10 gr / 250 gr beras dan (D2) 15 gr / 250 gr beras. Hasil data penelitian diolah secara statistik menggunakan Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) yang menunjukkan pengaruh sangat signifikan (**) terhadap parameter mortalitas minggu ke-1, minggu ke-2 dan minggu ke-3, dan data tersebut menunjukkan hasil yang tidak signifikan (ns) pada parameter kadar air benih, kecepatan perkecambahan, kecepatan dan keserentakan pertumbuhan benih. Hasil terbaik diperoleh dari parameter mortalitas minggu ke-3 pada perlakuan biji jarak pagar (B4) sebesar 90,00% sedangkan untuk perlakuan dosis terbaik hasil perlakuan pada dosis tepung biji 15gr / 250gr benih padi (D2) yaitu 87,92%.
