Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of Managerial Skills on the Performance of Local Government Officials in the Education Sector in South Sumatra. The research was conducted in South Sumatra from March to May 2010. The population of this study were echelon III officials within the Education Office. Data were collected from 75 echelon III officials as a randomly selected sample and the data were analyzed by path analysis after all variables were entered into the correlation matrix. The results showed that the performance of echelon III officials was directly influenced by managerial skills. The results of this study are (1) managerial skills have a direct effect on organizational culture, and (2) managerial skills have a direct effect on performance. Therefore, in improving the performance of leaders, managerial skills must be a strategic consideration in planning at the South Sumatra Provincial Education Office; but other variables need to be taken into account by the next performance researcher.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the recruitment of educators and the factors that influence the implementation of the recruitment of educators at SMA Nurul Amal Palembang. This study uses a type of research that is qualitative. Methods of data collection using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the recruitment of educators at SMA Nurul Amal has been going well. This can be seen from (1) Planning for recruitment of educators (2) Dissemination of announcements for recruitment of educators (3) Acceptance of applications for prospective educators. (4) Selection: a) applicant selection system holding interviews and filling out forms, b) applicant selection process, the committee screens applicants such as looking at educational background, experience, and desired position. c) Applicant selection method, the school conducts the interview method. The supporting factors for the implementation of the recruitment of educators at SMA Nurul Amal Palembang are: a) facilities, b) cooperation between teams, c) human resources. Factors inhibiting the implementation of the recruitment of educators at SMA Nurul Amal Palembang, namely: lack of coordination.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts made by TPA Mushollah Nurul Khoirot in reducing illiteracy in reading and writing the Qur'an as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by TPA Mushollah Nurul Khoirot in reducing illiteracy in reading and writing the Qur'an in children in Tanjung Tambak village. Tanjung Batu district, Ogan Ilir district. This research is a descriptive or qualitative research. Qualitative research method is a method used to examine the condition of natural objects. In this method, the researcher uses a communication approach and a management approach. The object in this study is the founder of TPA Mushollah Nurul Khoirot. Data collection techniques used are observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results show that the management of TPA Mushollah Nurul Khoirot can be said to be good, this can be seen from the management functions that have been managed which consist of: 1) planning in determining goals 2) organizing in determining activities and organizational structures 3) implementation in terms of providing motivation to establish relations and communication 4) supervision in terms of setting standards, comparing activities carried out with standards and taking corrective actions. The implication of this research is that the government must pay special attention and then the place must be designed to attract children's interest, encouragement and motivation from parents to direct their children to be more active in deepening religious knowledge and students are expected to have the desire to be able and want to be able to read and practice the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of integrated learning at the elementary school level at SDN 02 Bumiharjo. The problems that occur are related to the implementation of integrated learning at the elementary school level, because the implementation at the elementary school level requires the right strategy so that this integrated learning can run well. In this research, the type of research used is the type of field research that is qualitative. In the study, informants were also the head of the library, educators and education staff, as well as students and other stakeholders related to this article. Data collection techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that integrated learning as a learning strategy based on an integrated curriculum approach that aims to create or create a relevant learning process, with principles including the principle of extracting themes, the principle of implementing integrated learning, the principle of evaluation and the principle of reaction and meaningful for children so that they have an important role at the elementary school level in accordance with the development of the children's age. The implementation has been going well and the implementation consists of three forms of implementation, namely the implementation that is carried out spontaneously, the implementation in the form of an integrated day, and the implementation that starts from the theme.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 membuat sistem pembelajaran di Indonesia yang berlangsung secara klasikal berubah menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh atau dalam jaringan (daring). Tujuan penelitian ini yakni rnengevaluasi kebijakan pelaksanaan pernbelajaran jarak jauh atau daring di Indonesia pada masa pandemic covid-19. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kepustakaan dengan sumber data berupa artikel ilmiah yang membahas tentang pelaksanaan pernbelajaran jarak jauh (daring) selama masa pandemi covid- 19. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisa kualitatif yakni reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini yaitu dari rnekanisrne pembelajaran daring memiliki dampak positif berupa kemandirian siswa dalam belajar, peningkatan aktivitas mencari sumber belajar dan inovasi gaya belajar. Dampak negatif pernbelajaran daring berupa rasa jenuh dan penurunan minat belajar akibat kegagalan siswa dan guru dalam mengatasi kendala seperti sarana penunjang yang tidak memadai, ketiadaan kuota internet dan sinyal internet yang buruk. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh siswa dan guru selama pernbelajaran daring yaitu ketersediaan sarana penunjang, strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan sinergi antara komponen pendidikan. Pembelajaran daring berpeluang untuk terus dilaksanakan dengan sisters blended learning guna rnenciptakan pernbelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Kata kunci: Evaluasi, Pembelajaran, Dalam Jaringan, Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the promotion strategy of new student admissions at Raudhatul Athfal Perwanida 3 Palembang. The type of research used is field research (filed research) using a case study method approach (case study) which is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques namely interviews, observation, and documentation. For data analysis techniques with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are first, the promotion strategy used is a strategy to win the competition, a tactical strategy, and a value strategy. Second, the supporting factors in the implementation of the promotion strategy are having a clear segment, a fairly good brand, the trust of the public and alumni is still relatively high, and the advancement of information technology. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are that information technology facilities are still minimal, there are no special human resources for managing technology-based promotional media, and a small promotional budget. Third, there is no involvement of the foundation in thinking and determining the direction of development, the foundation's low attention to students who excel, and minimal providing information technology facilities provided by the foundation.

Abstract

Supervision is a supervision carried out by superiors to subordinates, such as school principals against teachers. Supervision makes teachers more careful about their teaching materials and of course can determine the best teaching methods so that educators can understand them. Supervision can also be said as a curriculum with guidance in the form of guidance which is expected to improve curriculum in the teaching and learning process. And in this study, we will discuss the impact of supervision on improving the school curriculum which is carried out at the Al-Ihsan Education Foundation, Medan Tembung. To improve the curriculum, supervision must be carried out properly and of course the guidance carried out can give positive results.

Abstract

The principal has a great duty and responsibility, namely the principal to foster and guide teachers to form the character of quality human students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained: 1) The efforts of the head of madrasa in choosing strategies and directing learning to adjust the curriculum and kbm during the pandemic, briefings are also carried out in meetings so that the implementation does not encounter obstacles. 2) In the implementation of learning uses such as google meet, google zoom and e-learning also make it easier for educators, the efforts made by madrasa heads such as workshops, technical guidance and other training with the aim of improving competence also run smoothly. 3) The importance of motivation for madrasah principals makes teachers more aware of managing learning facilities, especially in learning more using digital technology. 4) The Head of Madrasah always provides motivation and guidance on the use of technology, the results and what is achieved cannot be separated from the teacher's contribution in providing learning delivery as well as academic and non-academic achievements that have been achieved.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the role of the madrasah committee in implementing Madrasa-Based Management at MAN 1 Pringsewu. The role of the school committee in relation to improving the quality of education services is as a giver of consideration, support for education service activities, controller of education service activities, a liaison or hook of communication ropes between the community and the government. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, the location in this study is at MAN 1 Pringsewu and the data sources used are primary data and secondary data and there are several techniques used in collecting data, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study, the authors also use triangulation techniques sources and techniques. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the role of the Madrasa committee at MAN 1 Pringsewu has carried out its role well, namely by means of the school committee as a giver of consideration in every plan and program prepared by the school, the school committee as a supporter of implementing and improving the quality of education at MAN 1 Pringsewu in the form of financial support, energy, and mental support. The school committee exercises control over decision making and education planning in schools, the school committee acts as a liaison or hook of communication between the community and the government.

Abstract

The success of a school essentially lies in the efficiency and effectiveness of the appearance of a school principal. The approach in this study uses descriptive qualitative data collection techniques namely interviews, observation, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed using the theory developed by Males and Humberman. Research results obtained: 1) The ability of the principal to coordinate, mobilize, and harmonize all educational resources available at the school. 2) The principal directs the teacher, the principal as a leader can direct the teacher to carry out tasks in learning. 3) The principal directs and guides teachers in developing the curriculum, starting from: formulating the school's vision, mission, and goals; development of curriculum structure and content; and making school calendars. 4). The principal's ability to assist teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning, preparing annual programs (Prota), semester programs (Ptomes) and syllabus.
