Abstract

This article aims to identify and analyze effective leadership strategies in change management. This study uses a literature review method with a qualitative approach, aimed at gaining an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of change within organizations. The researcher analyzes various relevant sources of literature, including books, journals, and articles related to leadership theories and change management. The main findings indicate that effective and transparent communication, trust and commitment building, capacity training and development, as well as monitoring and evaluation are key strategies in managing change. Clear and open communication helps reduce uncertainty, while building trust and commitment enhances collaboration and team performance. Additionally, appropriate training and change process evaluation ensure that organizational members are prepared to adapt, and the changes made have a positive impact. This study concludes that resilient and adaptive leaders, by implementing these strategies, can lead effective change within organizations.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and evaluate the management of educational staff development in the field of madrasah education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Palangka Raya. The main focus of this study is to understand how the development of educational staff is carried out in madrasahs and the factors that influence its success. The research approach used is qualitative with a field research method, relying on interviews, observations, and document collection as data collection techniques. The results of the study show that the management of educational staff development in madrasahs is carried out through systematic and structured stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The development program designed aims to improve the competence and quality of educational staff, with an emphasis on mastering educational technology and administrative skills. Evaluation of the development program indicates a positive impact on the improvement of technical skills, but also identifies several challenges that need to be addressed, such as the need to adjust training materials and strengthen supervision over the application of development results. Based on these findings, the study suggests that development should focus more on the enhancement of managerial and social skills, as well as strengthening mentoring and coaching programs in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the principal in managing the extracurricular Scouting activities at SMP Sandika Sukajadi, Banyuasin Regency. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, allowing for an in-depth understanding of the studied phenomenon. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with key informants consisting of the principal, Scout advisors, and the extracurricular unit leader. The findings indicate that the principal plays a strategic role in managing Scouting activities through three main aspects: planning, organizing, and implementation. In the planning stage, the principal collaborates with Scout advisors to design activity programs that support students’ character development while ensuring adequate resource allocation. In organizing, the principal is responsible for determining the organizational structure, appointing competent advisors, and managing the necessary facilities and infrastructure. In implementation, the principal mobilizes human resources and provides support to ensure the sustainability of Scouting activities, including leadership training and student participation in various programs. Challenges faced include budget constraints, lack of active student involvement, and limitations in facility availability. To address these issues, the principal optimizes school operational funds (BOS), establishes collaborations with external parties, and organizes training for advisors. Through effective leadership, Scouting activities at SMP Sandika Sukajadi can be optimally conducted to foster students' character and skills.

Abstract

The supervision of administrative affairs at SMK Al Hikmah Mesuji OKI plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of school administration. This study aims to analyze the implemented supervision system, supporting factors, and challenges in managing administrative tasks. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that supervision is systematically carried out through stages of standard setting, measurement, result comparison, and corrective actions. The Head of Administration actively monitors and provides guidance to staff, ensuring that school administration runs orderly and in accordance with established procedures. Supporting factors for supervision include staff motivation and competence, a conducive work environment, and support from the community and external parties. However, budget constraints pose a challenge in providing adequate facilities and infrastructure. Despite this, administrative staff continue to carry out their duties optimally through creative solutions and resource efficiency. In conclusion, the applied supervision system has had a positive impact on improving the efficiency and accuracy of school administration, thereby supporting overall operational smoothness.

Abstract

Kajian ini berangkat dari pentingnya peran hubungan masyarakat (humas) dalam membangun citra sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang dipercaya masyarakat. Dalam era persaingan antar sekolah yang semakin ketat, humas tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penyampai informasi, tetapi juga sebagai penghubung antara sekolah dengan publik internal maupun eksternal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran humas sekolah dalam membangun citra positif serta menganalisis strategi yang digunakan berdasarkan literatur yang ada. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research, yaitu menelaah berbagai referensi berupa buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan artikel yang relevan dengan tema humas dan citra sekolah. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan analisis isi (content analysis) untuk menemukan pola dan strategi yang dikemukakan oleh para ahli. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa humas memiliki peran strategis sebagai komunikator, relationship builder, dan image maker. Pada lingkup internal, humas berfungsi menjalin komunikasi harmonis dengan guru, siswa, dan tenaga kependidikan, sedangkan pada lingkup eksternal humas membangun relasi dengan orang tua, komite sekolah, pemerintah, media, dan masyarakat umum. Strategi humas dalam membangun citra positif mencakup publikasi kegiatan, promosi prestasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan sosial, serta transparansi informasi yang konsisten. Dengan peran dan strategi tersebut, humas mampu memperkuat reputasi sekolah dan meningkatkan partisipasi publik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of Islamic values ​​within the internal environment of the Darul Furqon Blu'uran Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School. The focus of the study is directed at the implementation of Islamic values ​​integrated into the education system, the habituation of religious behavior, and social relations among Islamic boarding school residents. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data obtained are analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Islamic values ​​are internalized through three main approaches, namely exemplary behavior from educators, the habituation of worship in daily routines, and the strengthening of Islamic boarding school culture that is inspired by the values ​​of the Qur'an. The leadership of the kiai plays a central role in shaping the character of students through intensive supervision, the application of discipline, and the fostering of a sense of collective responsibility. This contributes to the creation of a religious and harmonious educational environment that supports the development of students' character as memorizers of the Quran with noble morals. This research confirms that optimizing the internal environment of Islamic boarding schools is a key factor in strengthening the comprehensive internalization of Islamic values. Therefore, strengthening Islamic boarding school management is necessary to maintain the consistent application of Islamic values ​​relevant to the needs of today's developments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan anatomi kurikulum di MAN Kota Batu yang mencakup perumusan tujuan, pengorganisasian isi, strategi pembelajaran, serta sistem evaluasi yang digunakan; mendeskripsikan desain kurikulum yang diterapkan dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman; serta mengkaji proses implementasi dan evaluasi kurikulum sebagai upaya menjaga relevansi, konsistensi, dan kualitas pendidikan sesuai tuntutan pendidikan Islam di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025 di MAN Kota Batu, Jawa Timur. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas Wakil Kepala Madrasah Bidang Kurikulum, guru mata pelajaran, dan siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive, sedangkan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, studi dokumentasi, dan pencatatan lapangan. Validitas data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber, sedangkan analisis data berlangsung secara siklis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anatomi kurikulum di MAN Kota Batu diterapkan secara terpadu dan holistik, mengintegrasikan aspek akademik dan karakter; desain kurikulum berbasis nilai keislaman (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta) memungkinkan pembelajaran kontekstual dan humanis; serta implementasi dan evaluasi kurikulum yang adaptif dilakukan melalui Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI). Temuan juga mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung seperti kolaborasi antar-stakeholder dan ketersediaan sarana, serta tantangan berupa perubahan kebijakan dan keberagaman kemampuan siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan inovasi kurikulum dan kapasitas guru untuk menjamin keberlanjutan dan relevansi kurikulum.

Abstract

Character education is the education of values, morals, and character aimed at shaping students’ abilities to realize goodness in their daily lives. The current reality of education indicates a character crisis influenced by the dominant emphasis on cognitive aspects; therefore, formal educational institutions need to strengthen school culture as a strategy for character formation. This study aims to analyze school culture in shaping students’ character. This research is a field study employing a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study indicate that school culture consists of academic culture and social culture. Academic culture includes a reading culture, a learning culture, and a creativity culture. A reading culture shapes religious character, responsibility, independence, and curiosity. A learning culture fosters responsibility, independence, and curiosity, while a creativity culture develops responsibility, independence, social care, and curiosity. Social culture includes a culture of mutual respect, the 3S culture (smile, greeting, and salutation), and a culture of simple living. A culture of mutual respect forms social care and responsibility. The 3S culture shapes religious character, social care, and responsibility. Meanwhile, a culture of simple living develops independence, responsibility, and social care. Thus, strengthening school culture plays an important role in the holistic development of students’ character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the planning of digital branding in new student admissions (PPDB) using SWOT analysis at SMP Life Skill Teknologi Informatika Indo Global Mandiri Palembang and its implications for the effectiveness of PPDB. The background of this research is based on the increasing competition among educational institutions in the digital era, which requires schools to adopt adaptive, well-planned, and sustainable branding strategies. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that digital branding planning for PPDB is carried out through the formulation of clear objectives, SWOT-based analysis of the school’s internal and external conditions, and the development of consistent digital communication strategies. School strengths, such as A accreditation, the quality of human resources, and the effective use of digital media, serve as key factors in building a positive school image. Meanwhile, limitations related to budget and infrastructure are addressed through creative strategies and the optimization of social media platforms. Well-structured digital branding planning has been proven to enhance school visibility, public trust, and prospective students’ interest. This study concludes that SWOT-based digital branding planning has positive implications for the effectiveness of PPDB and can serve as a strategic reference for educational institutions in facing competition in the digital era.

Abstract

Orderly and systematic records management is one of the key factors in supporting the effectiveness of educational administration in schools. The success of records management is strongly influenced by the supervisory function carried out by the Head of Administration as the person responsible for school administration. This study aims to analyze the supervision conducted by the Head of Administration over records management at SMA Nurul Iman Palembang and to identify the factors influencing the implementation of such supervision. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with the Head of Administration and administrative staff serving as the main informants. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that supervision of records management by the Head of Administration has been implemented through the establishment of work standards, monitoring of implementation, evaluation, and the provision of guidance to staff. However, the supervision has not been fully optimal due to time constraints, high workload, limited archival competencies among some staff members, and the suboptimal use of archival technology. Supporting factors include the existence of school regulations and leadership support, while inhibiting factors include limitations in human resources, facilities and infrastructure, and work culture. Thus, the supervision carried out by the Head of Administration plays a strategic role in ensuring the effectiveness of school records management.
